Disclaimer: I do not own either RWBY or Star Wars
Amber eyes narrowed in annoyance as the raven-haired woman was surrounded by three girls and two boys.
She was familiar with them, the majority of team RWBY and half of team SSSN, the other half of which she had had no interaction with. Competent fighters all, they might be able to pose a threat to her…
"My, my. To think-"She started.
"Cinder Fall! As the mastermind behind the recent attacks on Vale, we will apprehend you! Surrender now!" The youngest of the lot, Ruby Rose, seemed like she would have none of it, and interrupted her before she could talk.
The femme fatale's eyes narrowed further.
The red-clad girl charged, her crimson scythe whining through the air as she whirled.
In response Cinder's dress lit up with arcane designs, two blades of dust materialising in her hands, stopping the attack.
The young girl's eyes lit up with recognition, narrowing into further determination.
But the woman could not stay like that for long, and danced around, breaking the deadlock violently and sending the smaller girl flying as she spun around, twisting out of the way of a fist as she deflected a trident.
She continued the motion, her twin blades whirling around to force them away, barely coming to a halt before she leapt, cleanly clearing a vicious strike from the monkey's staff.
From this position she twisted her body around, putting the two blades together and turning them into a bow, which she quickly nocked with arrows created through her dust manipulation.
These arrows were promptly unleashed towards the heiress that was sitting back, preparing an attack once an opening presented itself.
Instead she was now forced to create a barrier of ice to evade damage, but as the arrows impacted with the wall of ice they exploded, shattering it and buffeting the one hiding behind it.
But the white-clad princess emerged dazed but otherwise unscathed, and promptly the woman found herself under assault again.
The bow was separated into blades again just in time to lock with a trident, and she used that to propel herself to the side, evading a simultaneous kick from the monkey and the dragon.
But once she landed she found herself with a scythe going for her legs while a rapier closed in on her shoulder.
It looked like an unfavourable position, but she still had many tricks up her sleeve.
Once again the designs on her clothes lit up, covering her entirely in glowing symbols.
And with that she unleashed a wave of fire that pushed her attackers away.
Next she summoned pillars of fire that forced the blue-haired boy to roll away as he tried to draw a bead on her.
And even as she did this she kicked the monkey coming for her in the stomach, launching him away from her.
But then something she didn't expect happened. Through the flames left by her pillars came a golden blonde, her hair burning as a pair of crimson orbs stared at her.
She crossed her blades to receive the blow, but the force behind it shattered them, sending her flying at the same time.
And before she had any opportunity to recover a missile barged into her.
A furious storm of rose petals, gale force winds and ice shards sent her flying even further, while the red blur in the centre drove into her.
They crashed through several trees in their wild flight, but it was when they finally crashed straight into a cliff that even Cinder's willpower fell short, and her vision turned black.
-Break—
The spear was fast and fierce, and the woman who wielded it did so with bestial agility.
Even with her semblance Pyrrha was overwhelmingly on the defensive, unable to launch a single attack, as her opponent refused to overextend… no, she couldn't overextend, for no matter what, the spear would quickly return to its original position, ready for the next strike, and even when the spear's trajectory was changed to cause an opening, if the red-head tried to use it she would be met with a painful kick.
All of team JNPR were covered in wounds and cuts as they regrouped while the red-headed amazon kept the opposition busy.
"So what's the plan?" Nora said with heavy breath.
"Me and Pyrrha will keep her busy while Ren work to stop her movements so you can land a solid hit." The blonde-haired teen said, a grim look on his face.
"That sounds like a terrible plan." Ren deadpanned.
"It's the best I've got, okay?" Jaune felt a little bit miffed at the lack of confidence in his plan.
"Don't worry, we'll make it work." The dark-haired youth smiled slightly as he deadpanned encouragement.
In the meantime Pyrrha had used her semblance to force the spear to stick to her shield.
But her opponent was stronger than she looked, and the red-haired girl was sent flying as the spear was lifted, only for her to get smashed into the ground painfully, knocking the air out of her lungs.
But even as the fierce spearman was preparing to stomp down on her opponent's throat, a shield bashed into her, the entire weight of the young Huntsman put into it.
She staggered, but her spear was still stuck on Akoúo̱ and the downed amazon was pulled up into a crouching position where she stopped the movement.
"Ren, Nora!" The blonde cried out.
In response a hammer and a pair of fists closed in on the enemy.
And yet...
The woman somehow regained her footing, and in but an instant, she had whirled, using the girl stuck to her spear to batter away the others, causing them to sprawl on the ground, and Pyrrha to finally lose consciousness, dispelling her semblance and sending her flying into a tree some distance away.
She stalked over to the fallen form of Jaune, a wide smirk on her lips, a sinister glint in her eyes.
The spear rose… and was stabbed down into the sword arm's shoulder.
A pained cry escaped the boy's lips as his shoulder was pinned to the ground.
The other arm was stepped upon as the smirk grew into a wicked smile and she leaned down.
"I think I'll take my time with you." The voice was so sickeningly sweet that for a moment Jaune actually thought this person was the ghost of Amara come back to murder them.
"Hey! Crazy lady!" An inexplicably energetic shout drew the woman's attention away as a grenade exploded right in her face.
As his tormentor was distracted, Jaune Arc summoned up all his will-power and pushed forward, freeing his arm from her foot, tearing lose his shoulder from the ground and smashing his shield into her abdomen.
As she staggered from the unexpectedly powerful blow the youth ripped out the spear still lodged in his shoulder and drove it through her heart.
She stood there for several moments, staring at the shaft stuck into her chest, until finally, reality caught up, and her body failed as she crumbled.
At the same time the youth collapsed.
-Break—
The two men strode forth, and the men who had filled the gap between them backed away from the sheer aura of strength they exuded.
As the space between them once again cleared, they both dashed, weapons held high as they both swung simultaneously.
The backlash was huge, and a few soldiers found themselves blown away by the sheer force produced by the blows.
With a heave they both separated again, and with the force of a whirlwind their weapons came again.
Despite the size and weight of these weapons they were being swung like sticks.
One blow, two blows, three blows…
Again and again, from a vast myriad of directions.
The two weapons met and recoiled.
Up high the claymore went. In a fierce upward swing the chainsaw flew.
This was not a battle between men, but a battle between Titans, Juggernauts that shattered the earth with each deflected swing, that whipped up gales with every slash.
They had spent decades refining their physical strength, and stood at the peak of mortal physical ability.
Further empowered by Aura and they stepped into the realm of immortals.
They swung with the power to shatter solid rock, each clash of their weapons causing them to be pushed back slightly, their feet carving deep gouges.
Finally they gripped their weapons with both hands, and each took a step forward, swinging their weapons with the strength of legends.
But their weapons were of the mortal realm, and this mightiest of blows were too much even for these masterpieces.
As they clashed in titanic blows that shattered the very earth beneath them they shattered, a violent storm of metal fragments bursting into all directions, leaving deep marks on both warriors as they flew away.
Yet miraculously none were fatal, and the damages were just about equal.
Their weapons broken they discarded the fragments in their hands.
Their fists lashed out, two solid blows meeting each other.
For a few seconds they remained, staring at each other, their fists struggling for supremacy.
Then they moved again. Their fists blazing as they were launched with god speed.
The White Fang Lieutenant evaded a punch aimed for his cheek and launched one of his own aimed for his opponent's neck.
It was swept aside by one fist while the other snaked towards the opposing sternum.
But even as it landed a countering fist impacted on the Captain's own sternum.
Yet despite these two strong blows neither side flinched, and simply smashed their heads into the others in a fierce head-butt.
It seemed neither would give any ground, even the multiple bruises and bleeding gashes seemed unable to deter them.
But there was a difference between these two Titans, one of them had someone who would dare enter into their fierce battle.
A fact that would soon turn the tide of this battle.
Suddenly the White Fang Lieutenant gave out a deep gasp as a Tantou lodged itself into his back, and seeing as there was an opening, the Captain landed one last strong blow to the head, sending the large man backwards where he crumbled as his mighty body failed under the inexorable weight of a wound in his lungs.
But even as he crumbled he took several steps forward, even as he coughed up blood from his lungs…
He even reached his opponent, and gave out one last punch that connected feebly with the man's chest before he finally toppled.
"A shame… old friend." The Captain said solemnly as he watched the man give one last laboured breath before the light faded from his eyes.
Then he turned away and drew in a deep breath.
"Damn it Felis! I could have taken him!" And gave out a thunderous roar.
-Break—
The two were mere blurs to any onlooker, their blades could not be seen, and their movements were beyond even the most skilled watcher.
In a pure match of swordplay they were well matched.
While Adam was more skilled, Wayle more than made up for it with greater speed and strength.
Where Wayle had mysterious arcane abilities, Adam could absorb energy, and they both knew that ability covered the electricity the Sith could use.
Their battle was a deadlock. Neither could overcome the other, neither had the means to change the duel's flow.
At least that was how Adam Taurus reasoned about his current situation.
He thought Wayle Tyran was stretched to his limit, after all, while he knew about some of the teen's other powers, he was confident that trying to use them would be his last action.
For Adam was confident he could break the brat's defences the moment he stopped to try something else.
And so they were in a deadlock, until one of them tired.
And yet their deadlock was interrupted, not by the action of either side, but by the outcry of one girl.
"Wayle! Adam! Please stop this!"
Author's notes: Blergh... I hate writer's block, and it wasn't helped by deciding to stop working properly all of a sudden. That, and the resuming of school, were the deciding factors resulting in this delay. Along with the potential that this chapter is sub-par... And you have one unhappy author. The only part of this chapter I liked was the first bit, it seemed nice to me. The rest... I had to force out with a flipping crowbar.
So yeah... leave a review telling me how I did, and how you feel about the direction of the story.
I hope you enjoyed and that you have a nice day.
