New Life - Yeni Hayat - Episode 10
The opening scene of a Yeni Hayat - New Life has Adem Sahin out on a special forces assignment when they are ambushed and Adem is shot in the back trying to protect his friend and Captain of the squad. The fact that he has a wife and daughter to think about, Adem leaves his special forces unit and tries to find a job not so dangerous.
His efforts fail because of his over qualifications until he is contacted by a former friend and military ally Bekir Tosun who has recommended him to his employer Timur Karatan who is need of a special forces type body guard for his beautiful younger wife - Yasemin Karatan
As the story unfolds Yasemin does her best to disway Adem from doing his job , because she has other reason not to be followed nor protected. Each scheme she attempts from fake purse snatching to trying to be rude to get him to quit , she discovers that Adem can't easily be swayed.
Yasemin's reason for not being closely guarded is that she has masterminded her own kidnapping and eventual ransom payment so that she can leave her abusive husband who turns into a psychopathic monster when anyone even looks a Yasemin the wrong way. The beatings are on going yet Timur uses the excuse that he was beaten as a child by his father and that he can't control himself , so to say that he is sorry he lavishes Yasemin with material possessions and apologies that have become a broken record.
Yasemin's plan to leave is based on the kidnapping and murder of Timur's first wife whereby threatening letters were sent with ransom amounts where contacted to solve this crime only to have The first Mrs Karatan never to be seen again.
With every attempt to make Adem quit his expertise protects Yasemin every time and even in the middle of a drive by shooting while they were in a restaurant. When Adem takes off his bullet proof vest and puts on Yasemin we get the first glimpse of an attraction starting to form between the two.
Yasemin's partner to her deceit plan is named Kunduzi,who is a gun for hire with an eccentric ego to match. He tells Yasemin that the only way to get Adem off her detail is to make him fall in love with her so he will be distracted. She without notice kisses him to confuse him. Only to have it video recorded and used for additional blackmail later in the series.
When the actual plan to kidnap her is put into play , she discovers that Kunduzi has been using her to make her ploy in her husbands gun running business. Yasemin finds out that she was going to be killed for real unless Adem did't rescue her which she did and gets shot in the arm doing so.
As Yasemin's feeling for Adem begin to take notice, Adem continues to get her walls of deception to come down . She begins to tell Adem more of her life and as to how she got herself into this situation. As a child she was beaten by her father and now she is being beaten by her husband because of his insecurities of her looks. Adem convinces her that he has away of getting her away from here if sho only starts giving him the truth and no more games that she has been playing. The more time they spend together the more visible there feelings become which puts Nevin Sahin in a panic mode since she has been living a lie in not telling Adem that their daughter Ece is not his nor hers.
Though the series was canceled the screen writers left to many loose ends to a story that should be concluded properly. The last 5 minutes of Episode 9 has Timur hiring a hitman to assassinate Yasemin before she leaves the Country. Then Kunduzi sends the DNA test results on Ece to Adem to receive soon as he arrives home. The final scene is of Yasemin returning to Adem telling him she couldn't leave and they kiss with Nevin looking on and Timur walking away knowing that his ex wife belongs to someone else, the bodyguard that he introduced into her life.
Episode 10 begins after the finale kiss
Yasemin: Please don't be mad…. I just couldn't leave… I've lived a life with no love and you have shown me that I could love again
Adem: I'm not mad … I was heart broken sending you away… this is still very dangerous for you…. Kunduzi and Timur are still who they are and I'm married
Yasemin: I didn't want to put this burden on you…. But you love me to… how do we deny this love that has come to be.
Adem : Let me take you to the hotel and we will talk tomorrow…. I can't risk you getting another beating because I'm not with you.
Yasemin: This is my house ….. it's the Foundations property based on the divorce settlement….but your right …. I can't be here…. Your wife has been looking at us … I'm sorry I did this to you again…. I'm starting to sound like Timur after his beatings… I'll take a taxi
Adem: I'll feel better if I take you…. I'm still your bodyguard
In the car going to the hotel they once again hesitate to talk even though they desparetly want to.
Yasemin: What made me realize that I was in love with you….. Timur has been talking about having children with me…. The more he talked the more I dreamed of you being my child's father….. When I was with Ece in the woods …. Her words were yours words in trying to comfort me…. Your such a unique person…. I've never met anyone like you
Adem: I have to admit, I've never come across a woman like you…. Yes you are beautiful…. But what fascinates me is that inner strength you possess.
Yasemin once again puts her hand onto his to feel that strength of his and the gentleness that his hands have when he caresses her face and head. She notices the envelope that he was carrying and recognizes Kunduzi's handwriting.
Yasemin: Adem … what is Kunduzi asking of you
Adem: What do you mean Kunduzi asking of me?
Yasemin: This letter that you were reading …. It's Kunduzi's writing…. I recognized it from what he sent me
Adem: I haven't read it… I was about to and then you appeared and my thoughts went to you…. Read it and tell me
Yasemin opens the letter and is confused as to what it means… Why is Kunduzi putting a DNA report for Ece and Ferda.
Yasemin: Kunduzi plays so many games with people…. Why is he sending you a DNA report about your Ece and Ferda?…. Ece is not Ferda's daughter….. why would he being doing this?
Adem finds the nearest spot and turns off the road to see what this is.
As Adem reviews the report he does know that it's authentic since he has seen many reports over the years identifying remains by DNA reports.
Adem: How could this be… I only met this woman just this week … I've never heard of her and I certainly never had relations with her to be Ece's mother….. What has Nevin been hiding from me all these years
Yasemin: were you not present when Ece was born?
Adem: Out of a week moment I married Nevin and was immediately deployed to the war zone. I didn't return for over year. When I returned I saw that I was the father of this beautiful girl and I fell hopelessly in love with her… I never questioned that she may not be my daughter… Nevin told me that our one night together she was conceived. Why did Nevin do this ? I will get answers tonight
Yasemin: Adem you have to apply your rule # 4 … you have to calm down and think rationally…. Stay with me tonight so you don't do anything crazy….. Nevin and Timur have already seen us together the situation will be out of control. You've shown me that everything you do you think it out before you act…. This is when you have to think… Please don't go tonight… Stay with me, please.
Adem: How could Nevin have done this…. Ece is my daughter she will always be my daughter.
Yasemin : Please calm down tomorrow we will get answers to all the questions , especially how did Kunduzi find this out.
Adem: Ece told me that she saw Ferda at the cabin before you arrived…. So Ferda knows Kunduzi and has been helping him…. How could such a person be Ece's mother?
Yasemin: Let's go to the hotel and talk this out… you call your sources and have them find out everything about Ferda.
Adem: I've already done that since Nevin has been trying to remove her from the house and never telling me what the problem was. Ferda has been blackmailing Nevin and not telling me.
At the Hotel Yasemin continues to try to calm Adem down and then begins to blame herself for causing all this trouble for him… If only she hadn't fallen in love with him and left as he asked.
Yasemin: Adem… I'm so sorry I've done this to you… I bring you nothing but pain and heartache…. I promise I will leave
Adem: This is not your fault…. Even if you were on that plane to America… I would have read the same letter and would be screaming at Nevin for deceiving me all these years.
Adem pulls Yasemin to his side and gives her a comforting hug and tells her to go to sleep, while he thinks all this out.
Yasemin: Can I kiss you once again….. I want a wonderful dream of us before tomorrows nightmare unfolds. They share their first very passionate kiss, the love between them is getting stronger and becoming unbreakable
As Yasemin awakens from her sleep she sees that Adem has finally gotten to sleep, so she orders some breakfast for the two of them before they confront the troubles of the night before. As Adem wakes Yasemin tells him breakfast is on it's way.
Yasemin: Go take a shower so that we can face today with a clear head and a full belly…. By the way thank you for the kiss …. I had to most amazing dream …. One that I've never had before…. You did that for me. She kisses him on the check and smiles.
Adem: If only this was a bad dream and we could wake up and find that it was just the two of us ….. enjoying falling in love with each other… but it is not. If Timur did see us kissing you are in more danger than ever and I can't protect you while I'm talking to Nevin. We still have to be on the lookout for Kunduzi now that we made him look bad to his new bosses. I think it's best that you stay here and out of danger.
Yasemin: Go take your shower and we will decide after breakfast.
As Adem goes to the shower Yasemin has flashbacks of the day he took his bulletproof vest to put on her. His naked perfect chest and abs made her tingle with excitement. What will making love to him feel like… she truly has never made real love with a man. With Timur she faked everything just to avoid more beatings… but just thinking of Adem her nipples rises and her arousal becomes so that she could easily climax just with his image in mind. She gets a devilish look in her eyes and decides to be a little bad … when will she get a better chance of seeing Adem in the raw. Her nightly dreams would be even better with that image in mind. She cracks open the bath room door and see the man she is yearning for in all his splender. Adem smiles and gives her a better view whereby she quickly closed the door and catches her breath. She is absolutely going to love making love to him.
Adem fishes drying himself gets dressed and comes out with the most devilish smile. As he is about to sit for breakfast he leans and gives Yasemin a sweet kiss on the check and whispers: Did you enjoy the view?
Yasemin: I can't keep anything from you ….. my dreams will be most satisfying.
After breakfast Yasemin insists that she is coming with him…. They are in this predicament together…. They will handle the fallout together. As they arrive at the mansion, security informs Mr Timur that Adem and Yasemin have arrived. Adem informs security that he will meet with Mr Timur after he has a conversation with his wife.
Yasemin: Do you want me with you?
Adem: Come and take Ece away from the house to distract her from hearing any of this.
Ece seeing her father rushes into his arms and immediately starts asking questions.
Ece: Daddy where were you last night….. mommy has been crying all night and is real mad at sister Yasemin.
Adem: Ece can you go with Yasemin to the art room she is going to show some new things… Daddy and Mommy need to talk …. Will you do that for daddy?
Yasemin: Come Ece we will have some fun painting
Ece: Sister Yasemin, why is mommy mad at you…. She was saying how you were taking daddy away from her
Yasemin: Ece sweetie, sometimes Mommy and Daddy see things differently … that's why they need to talk and get things cleared up….. Let's go paint and have some fun , Ok
Ece: Ok
Nevin looks into Adem's eyes and sees that he isn't his normal self, but unleashes her anger on him anyway.
Nevin: Were you with her all night…. Are you willing to throw away our marriage for her… Tell me Adem did you make love to her last night
Adem: Yasemin kept me away from you last night so that I wouldn't do anything crazy when I confronted you with this… Nevin explain this DNA report , why haven't I known any of this in our whole time we have been married… How could Ferda be Ece's biological mother… How many lies have you been telling me all these years….. Please tell me Nevin what have you done and how did all these lies come to be….. If Ferda is Ece's mother, I'm not her biological father….. Nevin what have you done to us
The shock in Nevin's face that Adem knows her secret is compounded by her revelations that she borrowed $50,000 from Timur to payoff Ferda who has been blackmailing her ever since getting out of prison.
Adem: Why couldn't you tell me….. Ece will always be my daughter…. I will make sure of it… Why did you do this
Nevin crying uncontrollably begins to give her reasons for all of this.
Nevin: We married so quickly and then you left for the war zone and were gone so long, that I became lonely and was with someone else and got pregnant…. The baby was still born and in my letters to you I kept telling you how healthy the baby was doing and then there was no baby. The doctors told me I could never have children again so I became afraid that I would lose you because I was infertile. Aunt Melahat knew of this woman Ferda that didn't want her baby, so she loaned me the money to pay her to give me her baby.
Adem: Why couldn't you tell me the truth … why do you continue to compound the problems…. By going to borrow money we don't have from someone that I'm investigating ….. you have made the problem worse….. By not telling me about Ferda who has been giving information to Kunduzi , who has been trying to kill me for disrupting their illegal transactions it's as if you put a target on my back for everyone to shoot. Last night we were chased and shot at by Kunduzi and his thugs…. Your jealousy got Yasemin beaten and almost killed. How can I ever even look at you let alone trust you. I will legally adopt Ece so she will always be my daughter and I will tell her the truth when the time comes that she can handle it. You and I will need to stay away from each other until everything is calm and then we will decide what we will be doing
Nevin: are you divorcing me
Adem: I must process all of this before I decide…. It's best you go live with your Aunt and leave this place… you are not happy hear anyway.
Adem goes to the main house to have his second confrontation of the day. Yasemin continues to stay with Ece so she doesn't begin to panic that her life will be turned upside-down for the short term.
Adem: Mr Timur … you wanted to see me
Timur: You are as good they come, calm , collected and so conniving in that you took my wife away from me with a simple smile. I should kill you right now.
Yasemin , anticipating what Tirum will attempt to do counters his attacks by entering the room. She made sure that Fatma took Ece away from the house so that again Ece wouldn't be exposed to any of this conversation.
Yasemin: Tirum… let me set the record straight, not once has Adem acted unprofessional… I am the thief that went into his heart and stole the love that he posses and took it for myself. All the beatings you did to me you emptied every last bit of love in my being…. I became an empty shell that was equivalent of a mannequin that got dressed up and put on display for your boasting. I was not your wife but rather your punching board and that I let you continue the blame was on me.
In your psychotic delusions you made a fatal mistake you brought a real man into my life… someone that I could see was real and not one of your puppets . Each time he protected me I felt safer and the safer I became I started looking into his heart that is as pure as it could be.
With my heart as empty as it could be…. I decided if I could steal some of that pure love for myself … so I kissed him unexpectedly and caught him total off guard for the first time in his life… Timur your accusations are false… Adem is not guilty of anything…. Look at the video that one of your flunkies was trying to blackmail with…. As you can clearly see it was me that advanced that kiss… Adem backed away.
Timur: Have you no shame… you were a married woman… That alone I should kill you.
Yasemin: If your man enough to kill me then kill me… but you're not a man …. You're a scared little boy afraid of his father. I'm no longer afraid of you and your threats. If you did manage to kill me I would have no regrets since I found real love, with a real man and even if I don't get to spend one day with him, I'm happier than I've ever been. All the jewels , all the clothes , all the luxuries that you tried to lavish me with can't compete with that simple smile that comes from from his face.
Nesibe , Gökçe and Fatih who have been standing nearby can't believe their ears… Yasemin is dismantling Timur limb from limb. She is destroying the very fabric of his being in that his bully ways have no impact on her. She is no longer afraid to admit her love for Adem who has been standing spellbound.
Timur: Adem…. You have nothing to say
Adem: She is the most fascinating woman I've ever met …. We have another problem, Kunduzi …. Last night he made many attempts to kill us, since he was made to look bad in his first big attempt to impress your bosses. He will continue his reckless ways unless he is stopped. Your bosses haven't changed their minds in wanting to replace you… So I ask you do you want to live and if you do are you willing to help me take out your bosses and Kunduzi?
What is more important to you….Your life or your business.
Timur: I've been doing a balancing act… You two have distracted me and I may find myself on the losing end of everything. Kunduzi is a comical character that is trying to play all sides against each other for him to prevail. It's time this character starts dancing to a different tune.
Adem : You know all the players and all the deals that they made…. Why are they trying so hard to replace you? Have you outlived your usefulness or is their something else that triggering this. Who have you pissed off ?
Timur: I must repeat the first words I said to you …. You are as good as they come, calm , collected …. You've taken my wife… now you are about to dismantle my businesses with my help…. You've placed me in such a position that I have no way out. No wonder she loves you the way she does… Ok I agree but I'm going to need some time in formulating the chess table
Adem: Give us the chess pieces , we will help with the board in ways you can't. We will get back together tomorrow…. We will all be staying here. But I must say this since I haven't said much….. You will not make any attempt at hurting Yasemin…. You don't want me hurting you.
Timur: Everyone will be safe …. I guarantee it. In showing that I mean it, Yasemin you better get Berna under control before she loots the foundation of all those new assets you placed into it. Ozgun and Berna will be useful tools in achieving our goal. Speaking of those assets I expect most of those back when this is all over.
Yasemin: You will get half of them back… we were married and I paid a substantial price for being married to you.
Adem and Yasemin go looking for Fatma and Ece so that the little girl can be comforted by her father. As they walk
Yasemin: What happened with Nevin did she give you the answers you wanted to hear.
Adem: She made one mistake after another… she admitted to having an affair that resulted in a pregnancy that she was going to claim was mine. When the child was still born and she was told she could no longer have children that's when Ferda entered the picture. Then she admitted boring $50,000 from Tirum to pay off Ferda who gave to her dead beat boyfriend that beat her up….. I told her to go live with her Aunt for now until this is all over. In the meantime I'm going to adopt Ece so no one will ever take her away from me.
Yasemin: You know I will help you in any way I can….. I still feel so responsible for this nightmare of yours.
Adem: Do you really love me that much?
Yasemin: Yes ….. I do … and I'm not expecting anything in return …. You've already given me more than I could have imagined …. As I told you in the car driving to the Summit…. I could love again and I love you very much.
They find Fatma and Ece by the pool and Ece runs to her father to find out if everything is still ok or is more problems in store. This will be the hardest conversation that Adem will ever have to make telling Ece that her whole life has been a lie, but Adem promises her that some things will never change.
Fatma: Yasemin what has happened from last night and today… you were on your way to a new life and now you're here. You kiss Adem in front of Mr Timur and Nevin and then you leave together and stay together all night. Are you trying to get killed?
Yasemin: I'm living my new life… I love Adem very much and I couldn't leave without knowing how he felt about me
Fatma: The way he looks you… he loves you to… but what about Nevin….. he is still married
Yasemin: They have many problems to unravel , but the most important will be to keep Ece as happy as possible because tonight she will here the most horrible of all news. All of us are going to make that little girl be the most special while she is staying with us. I will explain as things need to be but you my friend will be with Ece all the time, when her mother is not here.
Fatma: Where is Nevin going…
Yasemin: Nevin will be staying with her Aunt Melahat, until Adem decides what he wants to do next
Fatma: Are you and Adem together now?
Yasemin: Our hearts are together, but I don't know if we will ever be physically together…. But we love each other… that's all that is important to me right now
Fatma: Yasemin … you are one complicated woman
