Disclaimer: I do not own either RWBY or Star Wars

Latune shook herself out of her amazement. This was not the time or place to gawk at her Master's abilities, although he certainly didn't make it easy on her.

He could have told them he could fly.

She would have loved to observed the battle between the Sith and the massive Grimm, but she reigned herself in and looked towards Beacon.

Their best bet would be to set down at the place they would defend, if possible, so she scanned the area for such a location. Before long she made her decision. The doors of the Auditorium would have to do, already she could see some students gather there.

"Pilot! Set down in front of the Auditorium there!" She exclaimed to their pilot, pointing out the location she wanted.

"Understood." He responded and altered the course.

As they slowed down Felis approached the hatch their Lord had jumped out of, regarding the area they passed.

"I'll get off here." She said and jumped out without warning, landing gracefully atop a pillar.

"And there she goes." The Captain said, unbothered by her move. "Don't worry, she'll be fine." He then added when he noticed the Apprentice's worried look.

She simply nodded, noting that they were approaching their target.

In true Remnant fashion, they did not bother to wait for the Bullhead to set down, instead opting to jump out from a slight height.

They were promptly followed by the handful of the Captain's best, capable soldiers who could hold their own well enough if they worked together.

"Captain! You and your men guard the doors! I'll make sure the inside is safe while directing as many students as possible to defend this building!" She shouted to her ally as she landed, preparing to head off as soon as she got confirmation.

"Got it!" He shouted back, before turning to his men. "We'll make this place their worst nightmare! Don't let a single one get close!"

They roared their confirmations as they quickly formed a defensive semi-circle around the entry way, providing much needed relief for the few students who had gathered there.

The Captain simply hefted his new claymore with a bestial grin.

The petite Force-user rushed ahead, casually decapitating a Griffon that was trying to tear apart one of the students, incidentally alerting the others to the fact that they were being targeted by some of the flying Grimm.

She burst through the doors, closing them with the Force as she passed. Inside, as she had suspected, the wide chamber was currently being used as a gathering point for the wounded and non-combatants, while a few of the students were making sure that no Grimm burst through.

Her entrance immediately drew the attention of those present, and she could hear several murmurs from them.

Even so, a familiar face drew near.

"Latune? What are you doing here?" Ruby asked curiously.

"Master ordered that I help. I decided that defending this part would be a high priority, so the Captain is currently defending the doors." She explained.

"Yeah, I figured it would be best to head over here for now. My team is currently defending the roof to try and keep Grimm from entering over there. I was only down here to make sure we had a plan." The young Huntress-in-training agreed, and the two found a certain sense of kinship over having made the same decision.

And in the spirit of this kinship they didn't need to explain their next actions, and wordlessly they moved, their respective preternatural speeds allowing them to quickly reach the roof, where they joined into the defence in a position from which they could observe the situation.

-Break—

"I kinda wish he would stop pulling shit like that, if only so that he stops surprising me." Coco said as she battered another Griffon away.

"Wait who?" Replied Yang, the two of them having ended up fighting side by side in the chaotic defence.

"Wayle. You didn't notice?" The tall brunette queried incredulously.

"Wait what!? He's here?!" The blonde exclaimed.

The smashed the neck of another Griffon with a coordinated punch and kick.

"You seriously didn't notice? That lightning of his could be seen from Vale proper."

"Hold on. That came from up above. I didn't have time to look, and I thought it was something else."

"Yeah, but that's what I was talking about. He's flying."

"Ok-" The buxom gal was about to say something.

"On his own." But was interrupted by words that forced her to take a look out of sheer disbelief.

Luckily it was at that moment the swarm was drawn towards the dark Force-user, and so nothing bad came of her distraction.

"Oh. You're not joking. He's actually flying." Was all she managed to say.

Since a lull occurred the three teams that had taken up position on the roof converged, taking the moment to recuperate.

But they could still hear the sounds of battle below, indicating that the Grimm on the ground were still rampaging around.

Present were teams RWBY, JNPR and CFVY. Although they were soon joined by Latune, after she had confirmed that the Captain and his men were still fine.

They were. The number of Ground Grimm was limited, and since they were not exclusively targeting their position, and since Felis had gotten people to join up with them, it wasn't too bad.

"I mean, I also noticed that Latune was here, and that seemed like a pretty good indication." Coco then added with a sly smile.

"Wha- Oh, hey Latune!" Yang was pulled out of her state by this comment, and she quickly recovered enough to take note of the girl.

Unfortunately, their reprieve was cut short, as the draconic Grimm took flight once again, and the swarm, consisting of several older specimens, who realised that their current target was a bad idea, soon returned to assault them.

"So much for a reprieve!" Ruby stated as she started shooting.

"Why are there so many Griffons?!" Pyrrha exclaimed as she watched said beings shrug off their bullets.

"They might have been guided here." Latune said as she launched a metal rod into one of the beasts.

It didn't quite serve to stop the beast, but the burst of electricity that smashed into the rod and was directed into the body directly burned it from the inside, killing it.

"Please don't say ominous things like that." Weiss said with a shudder.

And then their grace-period was over, as the swarm descended upon them.

-Break—

Wayle felt deep-seated annoyance as the Grimm withdrew from him, but he didn't have the luxury to try and stop them, because once again the massive beast barrelled towards him, forcing him to evade.

He tried to smash its wings with Kinetite again, but it actually veered off, causing it to smash harmlessly, relatively, into its hide.

But before he could formulate a new plan to try and take the beast down something new happened.

Suddenly purple energy smashed into the sky above the beast's path, and a glyph formed, from which storm clouds materialized and without warning started pouring down sharp hail on it.

Unfortunately, it did little actual damage, but it did distract the beast, and cause it to fail to veer away from his attack.

Once again it crashed down, although this time Wayle could not attempt to destroy its head again.

Instead he opted to descend to the person responsible for the hail, Glynda.

She was being accompanied by Qrow as well, but the man sped off towards the crashed beast, presumably to try and kill it.

"Professor Goodwitch. Nice of you to lend your aid." He greeted her.

"I'm doing this for the students of this academy." She replied venomously in an attempt to hide the fear that he knew gnawed at her.

They didn't have time for much more, since the beast was soon back up, causing a frustrated Qrow to join them.

"I hope one of you have a plan." The scruffy-looking Huntsman said. "Cause I ain't prepared to handle that thing."

"I have an idea. I can bring it to the ground. If you two could find a way to keep it there, I might be able to kill it." Wayle responded.

"Better than nothing." Qrow replied.

The statuesque teacher simply nodded.

With that, the Sith turned his attention back towards the beast, and focused his will.

Suddenly it found itself being pulled by an inexplicable force, one able to overcome its fearsome bulk.

It tried flapping its wings to gain altitude, but the force only grew stronger in response.

With a mighty outcry Wayle pulled the beast down, causing it to crash before them.

Qrow gave a quick whistle before he vanished, and his scythe tore into one of the wings.

The other was subjected to several spears of various matter scattered around by the crash, and severed.

Its wings lost, the beast still tried to move, but was pinned by further debris spears.

Wayle grinned and once again called upon the abominable power he held.

Dark energies gathered before his outstretched palm, burning at his skin despite his attempts to protect himself.

He unleashed it again, once again disintegrating the skull.

But this time he didn't use just one.

He had been unwilling to use it more than once, since he couldn't protect himself against repeated use, and he found that the violent energies seared his palm.

This time the beast's neck burned away.

But Wayle wasn't done yet.

He unleashed a third true Blast.

This one destroyed part of the beast's chest, and with it, it finally started to crumble.

Wayle watched as Aura began to mend his burns. There were several reasons he didn't like using this particular power.

"And I thought Glynda was just exaggerating when she said you were terrifying." Qrow said, a strained smile upon his face.

The young Lord didn't bother to respond, instead turning towards the academy.

"We have another problem to take care off." He simply said as he started moving.

From the expression carried by the two, he assumed that they had a clue as to what he meant.

-Break—

Cinder Fall landed in front of the elevator doors on ground level. She had intended to go all the way up and have the beast nest up there, but it had been killed.

She had a suspicion about who was responsible.

So instead she simply sauntered forward, considering what she should do instead.

Fortunately for her, something appeared.

A quartet of boys, students at Beacon academy.

She remembered vaguely that they weren't overly popular, but she felt that it should still be enough.

"Hey, isn't that?" One of them noticed her, a squinty-eyed boy with brown hair.

The boys worn-down Aura didn't even begin to stand a chance.

Her fiery arrow lodged itself squarely into his heart.

To the credit of the others they leapt into combat the moment they saw their team-mate slump over.

She conjured up a pair of swords, stopping the halberd of one boy, while a strong blast of fire sent the one wielding two daggers flying.

She kicked the halberd boy away in order to meet the charge of the team leader, who's mace she simply sidestepped before she sent him sprawling.

She approached the one she had sent flying with the blast, and noted idly that it had taken away his Aura, yet he still tried to rise.

She responded by cutting his head off.

Halberd boy decided that he was no longer interested in this fight, but she would have none of it.

His reward was fire, a torrent of fire that scorched the walls and floor, or what was left of them.

The boy screamed as fire stripped away his Aura, and then his life, and he fell quiet, his burnt corpse collapsing as she stopped the flames.

Despite the cruel fate that had befallen his team-mates, the last one, the big boy with the mace and a really bad attitude stared at her defiantly.

She laughed.

He charged, his mace swinging with all the finesse of a beast. Needless to say, you didn't have to be Pyrrha Nikos to evade it.

And yet again, needless to say, Pyrrha Nikos didn't match up to her at all.

She grabbed onto the mace's handle, and called upon her powers.

Immense heat was generated, enough to melt even a Hunters weapon.

The mace was no exception, and even as the boy cried out from the pain of the heat transmitted into his hands from his weapon, it broke.

The boy stared at her incredulously. It seemed he couldn't quite handle his weapon breaking.

So she spared him the pain of loss, and sent fire down his mouth, which was opening for reasons she couldn't care less about.

He died, smoke spouting out of his mouth, just in time for Wayle Tyran to appear.

Cinder smiled fearsomely.

She would repay the boy for all the trouble he had caused her.

Yes, with the power of the fall Maiden.

Author's notes: And for some reason the system still isn't working as it should. For now I'll just blame any weirdness with the chapter on that. You know, I always get so confused when I write something I feel should get reactions out of people, and then they don't say anything about it. That, and I wish I got more reviews in general. Reviews help me, either by helping me feel that what I'm doing is worthwhile, or by helping me see my mistakes. Both should be really good for you guys, so yeah, it would be great if you could leave reviews.

I hope you enjoyed and that you have a nice day.
