New Life - Chapter 16
Day one of the four more days till the wedding has Adem finalizing the take down of Timur's bosses that have done so much destruction with their illegal gun running.
Timur spent his first night of freedom pondering his fate…. Death by his bosses….. Death by Adem … or by some miracle - A New Life.
Nevin's words kept going through his mind all night long… " What twisted mind does what you did and call it love" and then Gokce's rejection… his own flesh and blood not wanting to have anything to do with him. He was the intruder in his own house and Yasemin completed taking everything he loved away from him.
Timur's choice this morning becomes very clear as he address Adem after breakfast.
Timur: Adem… my choices have become very limited…. Death, Death and maybe a New Life…. What are my chances?
Adem: it's all up to you… you make the next two days go according to plan…. Rasim may look the other way…. If only you continue to help put an end to all this destruction…. How much do you really want to change…. You have to turn yourself into a completely new man … Are you up to that task…. First step is this…. Second step is facing your demons… Let's get to the task force and tackle the first step.
While at the task force… Timur gets a call from Ozgur….. informing him that Kunduzi wants to meet with him
Timur: Why is Kunduzi calling you and not me….. Ozgur are you once again trying to play both sides. It's not going to end well for you
Ozgur: Kunduzi has been trying to call you many times… you haven't answered… Yasemin , didn't do you any favors , when she told him that you thought he was a clown joke and incompetent.
Timur: What Yasemin said is true… he is a clown joke and very incompetent… you can repeat that to him… but if he wants to do business , he needs to call me, I don't make mistakes like he does.
Ozgur: I will pass the word…. He knows he is out of favor with Timur , so he must align himself with Kunduzi
The phones calls are made and an angry Kunduzi calls Timur.
Kunduzi: Mr Timur… I received your message… it appears you don't have a high opinion of me…. Yet the bosses still want me in the deal
Timur: Everything, I said and Yasemin said is true… you're incompetent… you failed your first test….. so the bosses will give you one last chance and if you fail this… even someone with your limited range of knowledge can understand what is coming next.
Kunduzi: Why do you speak to me like that….. I'm your equal Timur: My equal… one failed assignment makes you my equal…. You aren't qualified to carry my handbags… let alone being my equal… To be my equal….. you have to earn it….. you just haven't. Let's see if you have the ability this time around… After, I contact the bosses they should notify you as to where the delivery will be….. will you have the ability to not screw it up this time
Kunduzi: Your princesse's bodyguard messed everything up ….. not me
Timur: If you hadn't played games with his daughter….. he wouldn't have been in the picture….. you messed up and that stunt you tried to play with Abdullah to kill Yasemine ….. did you think the bodyguard would have let you getaway with that. Clown Joke you need to understand people better insted of playing those childish games and thinking it's strategy….. follow your instructions without thinking and maybe….. just maybe we will have a successful delivery.
Kunduzi: I will tell the bosses you're impossible to work with
Timur: Let's see how long you will live after that announcement… Clown Joke….. this is the big league….. this is your last chance. Wait for further instructions
Timur hangs up and Rasim has some comments
Rasim: What made you think of that strategy….. it worked very well… he is dismantled and his anger will betray him.
Timur: That strategy has been used on me several times and each have learned it from Adem's pending bride. Telling the truth to one that doesn't want to hear it becomes very alarming. Adem's beloved Yasemin has taken everything from me by telling the Truth. The Truth is a powerful weapon.
Rasim looks at Adem with wonderment is this real or a ploy
Adem: What do you anticipate happening
Timur: First Ozgur will try to align himself with Kunduzi… Kunduzi will call the bosses to demand he gets placed in charge of the delivery… The bosses will call me to place everything in motion and then the Bosses will show themselves because they have lost faith in both of us and this delivery must happen or they will lose their buyers. The mouse trap is set now it's up to you to get them before they break the trap.
Adem: Why never use that mind of yours to build up the business you had insted of doing it this way….. you would have remained just as wealthy
Timur: This was easy and quicker
Rasim: This is becoming quit an exercise….. the monitoring of Ozgur, Kunduzi and the bosses must be thorough….. we must be there before they are. This is our only real chance to stop it.
The Next 24 hours will mean everything, Adem calls Yasemin
Adem: Yasemin, sweetheart… I'll be incognito for the next 24 hours or so… everything that we have been trying to do will get done … I can't call you or see you until it's over…. I love you… and don't worry… I will be fine… I'm not missing our wedding for anyone….. Give Ece a hug and kiss for me tonight and in the morning….. I love you so much….. you know that.
Yasemin: You promise your coming back to me and you won't take those foolish chances with your life. You have given me a life I only dreamed of, but you have to be in it….. I can't live it without you.
Adem: Don't go there, I will be alright… I will be all right…. I love you …. I have to go.
Yasemin hangs up and begins to cry uncontrollably. Gokce walks in and sees a Yasemin she has never seen before.
Gokce: Yasemin…. What has happened… You're scaring me… has something happened to Adem
Yasemin with tears still coming tries to get her composure: He is still alright….. he and your father have put themselves in extreme danger and I'm so worried that Adem will do what he always does and risk himself… the thought of loosing him is to much for me to handle.
Gokce: My father is helping them… We both have to do what you have taught all of us… we have to be strong…. You can't be like this in front of Ece….. you know that. Adem won't do anything stupid… he loves the two of way to much to let that happen. Just keep thinking that.
Yasemin: You're right…. I have to think of Ece …. I can't let my fear over take me now….. we will be married in four days… he promised me and he always keeps his promise. Gokce this is between us I don't want anyone knowing. Adem and your father will not be around for the next 24 hours… let's say they both got called out of town and won't be back for couple days.
Gokce: Come to my office and look at all the happy pictures of you two… maybe that will keep a smile on your face… I'm not leaving you with your thoughts. Wipe those tears from that beautiful face so no one knows you've been crying.
Gokce brings out all the pictures that they sneaked taking of Yasemin and Adem ….. with each picture Yasemin sees a smile comes to her face. The love that is shown between the two of them can only reflect happiness.
Gokce: now you can understand why I had to have these kinds of pictures. For our campaign to be really effective we have to make people believe that the New Life Foundation can take those that have been broken and help them rebuild and ultimately find happiness. Your life Yasemin is the New Life Foundation. The picture I told Ece about last night is this of you three. I'm having this blown up so that it will stay next to the battered one.
Yasemin: That's beautiful Gokce, I want an 8x10 framed for my desk
Gokce: I've already thought of that.
Yasemin: Thank you , Gokce, I'm better….. I will think positive….. three days the Divorce… Four days the Wedding …. 10 days the Adoption.
Gokce: Are you composed enough to talk business. Now that you have told me what's happening in the next week…. I would love to use pictures of the wedding and the adoption in our pamphlets. But this is your privacy and I don't want to sneek those.
Yasemin: The wedding will be very simple as though we are having a family dinner and the same for the adoption
Gokce: That's what I was looking for…. the simplicity… Most of those that come here will never have anything extravagant, your picture will make them believe anything is possible.
Yasemin: This is becoming your calling ….. your mind is thinking of everything
Gokce: I've never been so excited about anything
Yasemin: Anything or Anyone….. My dumb brother couldn't see the signals you where throwing him… where you interested?
Gokce: You saw that… that was the old Gokce… I don't know if he would even look at this knew Gokce.
Yasemin: He be crazy not to. This new Gokce is a special prize….. That's the wrong classification, cause I hated that about me. Gokce your special, your smart and your beautiful….. if he can't see that he doesn't deserve you. My little brother still needs some growing up to do.
Gokce: Isn't great how much we have both changed, since we both found meaning to our lives…. You have found love and family and I've found a purpose and we have become friends.
Yasemin: Gokce, not only friend but always family….. you do know that.
Gokce: I do know that and I love you for it.
Yasemin: I love you to….. I don't know how I would of handled today without you.
Gokce: You will let me know if you hear anything… even though I'm so mad at my dad….. he is still my father and maybe by some miracle he finds a way to change himself, so he could be just a normal father, that I could be proud of.
Yasemin: Miracles do happen, I'm proof. … It's time I go find my daughter and tell her daddy won't be home tonight.
Gokce: I just thought of something… since Fatih is the only male tonight, why don't we give him the night off and we have just a girls night….. hopefully we can distract ourselves from thinking and keep Ece occupied from asking questions you don't want to answer.
Yasemin: I'll call Nesibe to just prepare finger foods and snacks so we can just talk and play games. Ece will love having her first girls night.
Gokce: This will be your bachelorette party….. you're getting married in four days….. are you up to some teasing and ribbing.
Yasemin: How much teasing… remember Ece will be asking all kinds of questions
Gokce: Momma Yasemin will have alot of explaining to do….. This will be fun and keep your mind off of Adem
On the way home Yasemin tells Fatih that he can have the night off since the ladies are going to have a night to themselves . Ece has already begun with the questions
Nesibe has prepared an array of snack foods so that they will last throughout the evening.
Gokce lays out the ground rules as to what Yasemin will and will not do as a married woman. Everyone will get their input.
Gokce: Since our precious Yasemin will be a married woman in the next four days , we already know do to Ece, That Yasemin likes sleeping naked… What are somethings that she may or may not do ….. let's start with Fatma who knows Yasemin the most
Yasemin: Fatma….. be nice to me
Fatma: I was surprise she liked being naked… I would be surprised if she will let Adem in the shower or bath with her
Ece: Mommy was in the shower with daddy just last night
Yasemin gasps with embarrassment… What did Ece see
Ece: They were funny in trying to be quite… Daddy took mommies cloths off and then Mommy took daddies cloths off and then grabbed daddy's peepe
Yasemin is rolling her eyes , she knows that Ece saw everything
Fatma and Nesibe gasp , Nevin knows this is going to be embarrassing, Gokce is loving it.
Gocke: Ece what did mommy do after that…
Ece: they went into the shower started kissing for long periods. Moommy started cleaning daddy's back then his front and then his peepe again….. she cleaned that real good
The giggles and smiles as Yasemin wants to shrink away
Then daddy started cleaning mommy… he cleaned her back , spent alot time on her touchy and then started to clean her boobies. When he was finished he kissed each one and then he bit it and mommy moaned with a big smile on her face, she must of liked that. Daddy pulled mommy close to him and they both started moaning and I went back to bed.
Gokce: Yasemin… we can safely say , having Adem in the shower is something you like to do
Yasemin: It looks like Adem and I need to be more careful
Gokce: Nevin…. You know Adem better than anyone… what would he or won't he do for Yasemin
Nevin: I don't think he will ever….. you know oral
Yasmine: has the biggest smirk on her face
Nevin: He did it all ready
Ece: What did daddy do mommy
Yasemin and Nevin both respond : Nothing Sweetheart …. That's a mommy and daddy thing
Nevin: Was it good.
Yasemin I think we are getting in territories that Ece can't handle, especially if it was reciprocated which it was and to avoid further questions they both were incredible.
Each woman then replies, you hit the jackpot didn't you
Yasemin, then replies : Yes, I did
After that answer everything else was tame. As the evening ended, Yasemin asked Nevin if she wanted to stay in a spare guest room since, they gave Fatih the night off. Ece is getting very sleepy so they say their goodnights and go to the guest house.
As they enter , Ece asks : Mommy can I sleep with you since daddy isn't here.
Yasemin: I would love that… let's get you cleaned up….. did you have fun tonight
Ece: Yes and no… some things I didn't understand
Yasemin: Part of growing up is you learn to understand things at the time your suppose to right now your a little girl and you should only be concerned about that. Before you know it you will be a big girl and wonder how you got big so fast.
Once she is all cleaned up and ready for bed , Ece crawls into bed with Yasemin and immediately clings to her and falls asleep. Yasemin's thoughts now drift to Adem and what he is doing and how safe he is. This will be a very long night for Yasemin.
Timur has received the call from the bosses and the location for the delivery has been establish. The task force has been keeping close eyes on Kunduzi, Ozgur and the bosses to make sure any deviation from the plan doesn't occur. They don't want any surprises. The transfer of guns is being done under the cover of darkness as it usually is to avoid suspicion and lurking eyes.
When it becomes clear, the transfer is happening , Timur provides the designated signal to approach and shut this operation for good . The bosses realize Timur has set them up begin firing trying to kill Timur. Adem seeing this lunges himself and knocks Timur to the ground saving his life, but once again Adem is grazed by a bullet. The rest of the task force arrest, Kunduzi, Ozgur and the bosses and retrieve the massive shipment of firearms. This operation is over.
Timur: Why did you save me….. You know I would have killed if I had the chance, but you risked yourself to save me.
Adem: That's my job and I gave you my word.
Timur: What will happen to me now…
Adem: That's up to Rasim… but you kept your word and this operation is over… who knows you may get a miracle… but if you do what will you do it….. the choice will be your.
Rasim: Adem, let's get you to a hospital, Yasemin will kill me if something had happened to you.
After receiving a few stitches at the hospital , Adem returns to the guest house early to surprise his beloved family. He quietly enters and sees Ece, closely snuggled against Yasemin , who has just fallen asleep from worrying all night long. Adem quietly lays next to Ece and falls asleep. As the morning approaches, Yasemin's awaken , to see Ece still clinging to her, but when she sees Adam asleep next to her, she quietly gets out of bed to give him a gentle kiss… he kept his promise.
Yasemin takes her shower and then gets dressed and then simple sits staring at Adem and Ece and has flashbacks of the first day she laid eyes on him and the subsequent events that led to her falling hopelessly in love with him and Ece. Her life has drastically changed because she found the reason to make it change.
Two more days she will become Mrs Yasemin Sahin
Next up is getting Adem divorced so the marriage will not be delayed. With Nevin staying in the guest room last night, they can go to the lawyers to make sure everything is scheduled for tomorrow, and this divorce will be final and her married life can officially start.
Adem has a sixth sense that someone is watching him, opens his eyes to a smiling Yasemin who is so very happy that he is home. She goes to him and gives him the most passionate of kisses and would make love to him if it weren't for Ece, still sleeping next him. Tonight, she will get the support of those that put her through what they put her through last night and will have a night of no interruptions and will love him like he has never been loved before. Nothing will be off the table now that he is home.
Yasemin: tonight is ours… I've earned baby sitting rights for What I went through last night…. Are you home today or do you still have to do anything else…. How did you get hurt again.
Adem: I have to finish finish some paperwork but I will be home early and then I'm all yours. The rest of the week belongs to us and our marriage….. Have you decided what we will do.
Yasemin: Tonight we will decide, but today we must make sure the divorce proceeds tomorrow.
Ece wakes up and sees Adem and jumps on him and gives him repeated hugs and kisses,
Ece: Daddy, I missed you last night… I get scared when you're not here with us. It was fun sleeping with mommy. Last night we had a bachelor party for mommy… Mommy was so embarrassed
Adem: A Bachelorette Party ….. this should be very interesting.
Yasemin: It's going to be interesting for you to when you find out what our daughter has seen us do.
Adem: She didn't
Yasemin: She did and she told everyone….. as I said I've earned baby sitting duties for taking all those hits for both of us… you thought you were tongued tied when she first saw your friend there. As you told me be prepared for the questions.
Adem: Maybe it's time we make some more privacy around here….. this is a big place and you do own it.
Yasemin: Are you suggesting What I think you're suggesting… we will talk about that tonight. Today, however, we must be concerned about finalizing the divorce proceedings
