"How are they?" A concerned Yang queried as the nurse closed the door behind her.

They were all seated in the moderately luxurious private meeting room of the Army of Union, seeing as Beacon's facilities had been… ruined, and at that particular moment none of them had felt like protesting when the members of said organization evacuated them all there as more Grimm started showing up.

It was that or take their chances with the Vale hospital, and from what they heard it had been damaged during the incident as well, by the Grimm that spawned when the Dragon flew over Vale.

The nurse, a rather average middle-aged woman that had worked for Beacon, and who had by pure chance been brought along when they evacuated.

She sighed and glanced at the silver-haired cat Faunus who stood leaned against a wall.

"They will be fine. Just a bout of Aura exhaustion. All they need is a bit of rest." She said tiredly.

"Aura exhaustion? I didn't even think Master used Aura…" Latune said wonderingly.

"Well, I wouldn't know about that, but I've been taking care of enough Huntsmen and Huntresses to be that I recognise it when I see it." The nurse replied imperiously.

"I will admit that we never tested exactly how much he had…" Glynda admitted ashamedly. "He must have awakened it at some point, but… If Miss Subbota, who is his disciple, didn't know about it…"

The stern woman pondered restlessly. She wasn't overly happy about being there, but concern for her students kept her from leaving.

While there were only two members of the Army of Union present in the room, it was, in the Huntress' personal opinion, the worst two possible, excepting the Lord himself.

Latune Subbota, while not overly aggressive, possessed the same power as Wayle Tyran, if at a smaller scale, and Glynda wasn't confident she could stop the girl.

Felis Luna, while similarly not very likely to lash out without reason, was an assassin. And the teacher knew well that this particular one had taken out Aura users before.

One of them she thought she could fend off, but both? She held no illusions of her chances.

She calmed herself by mentally pointing out that there was good rapport between Subbota and the members of team RWBY, so it wasn't too likely that the girl would attack, while the assassin probably wouldn't harm them as long as Tyran didn't wish it.

And as afraid as she was of that person, there was no reason for her to believe that he harboured any ill will towards her.

"We are all ashamed to admit, we had no idea." The sudden interjection of Felis almost made the Huntress jump.

"Actually…" Blake started, looking uncertain. The others turned to look at her. "I had suspicions about it… little things that would be perfectly explained if he had unlocked his Aura."

"As expected of his lover I suppose." The other cat Faunus said with a mischievous tone of voice and a glimmer in her eye.

A voluminous blush spread across the raven-haired girls features and she looked away.

This was news to Glynda. Certainly the teacher had heard talk, but she had dismissed it as rumours, something that was all too common amongst adolescent students like theirs. She heard so many rumours, quite a few involving Wayle Tyran and some member of the opposite gender, including herself, that she hadn't actually considered it might have been true.

The stern woman found herself staring at the black-themed student, and as soon as she caught herself doing so she immediately stopped, instead opting to take a closer look at the room she was in, now that she knew her student was safe.

It was finely furnished, no exotic materials, but good quality in both material and craftsmanship. Comfortable, but not opulent. The fact that they possessed a room like this actually set her a bit on edge. It spoke of having funds, resources.

She shook her head slightly. Leave it be. She's a Huntress, and her duty is not to involve herself in politics. That was what Ozpin would have wanted.

She just hoped Qrow could find him…

She shook her head again and rose.

"Is it alright if I wander a bit?" She asked Felis.

The assassin looked at her a bit, seemingly pondering, before shrugging lightly.

"Sure. Just don't go putting your nose in places you don't belong. One of my men will be watching you." The Faunus replied light-heartedly.

Glynda didn't deign to acknowledge her, and instead simply left.

She was fully aware that the Army of Union lived up to its name, and she wasn't suicidal, she wouldn't stray into non-public areas.

As she walked down the corridor she noted one thing. Whoever it was that was following her, that person was good. She could barely sense him.

She headed straight for the outside, and after only a scant few minutes she was outside.

The weather was fine, if a bit cloudy. She almost felt like having rain really.

She looked around herself, noting idly the bustle of people, Humans and Faunus alike. Some had the slightly militaristic uniform of the Army of Union, others wore normal clothing.

She also noted, to her minor dismay, a few of her colleagues. People she recognised as Huntsmen or Huntresses. Of course, they were free to carry out what work they wanted to, to some extent, so she couldn't exactly fault them, and for all she knew they were just helping with defence against the Grimm or stopping by to see if the Army of Union was offering any work.

It was their personal choice, and to be fair against the Army of Union, it had proven benevolent and had acted upon the ideals it professed, and she guessed it didn't help that old Roland, a well-known and respected Huntsman, worked for the Army of Union.

She sighed deeply. Things were getting too far out of hand.

-Break—

The first thing Wayle noted as he woke up was that he was in some form of infirmary or medical room.

The second thing he noted was Ruby resting peacefully on another bed.

Okay, good. That at least gave him some confidence he was with allies, and wouldn't need to fight his way out of some hospital full of enemies.

Once is two times too many for his taste.

The door opened, and the rest of team RWBY entered.

"Oh, hey Wayle, you're awake!" Yang exclaimed happily.

"Yang, Blake, Weiss. Why is Ruby sleeping over there?" He asked, indicating the younger girl with a motion of his head.

"Well… she did some kind of incredible flashy thing that drove Cinder away… then she fell unconscious." The boisterous gal explained.

"Very helpful." Wayle deadpanned. "So, how is the situation?" He then asked turning towards the other two girls.

"Well, for starters, Beacon is in ruins…" The sharp glare Blake gave him as she said that told him she wasn't pleased, which caused no small amount of distress, especially since he was also reminded that it was partly his doing.

"And Professor Ozpin is missing." Weiss finished unhappily.

This news chilled the Sith to the core. To him, Ozpin had been one of the balancers of politics in this part of the world. He had been a major influence on keeping General Ironwood down on the earth.

Wayle dreaded to think what might happen without his counsel.

"So, do you have any idea what was going on with Cinder? She was way too strong!" Yang exclaimed unhappily, both over Wayle ignoring her, and over their foe's new-found power.

He shook his head. "I think you would have more luck asking your uncle. Alternatively, you could ask Professor Goodwitch. I suspect they both know more than they would let on. The only thing I can say for certain, is that Cinder Fall commanded the Grimm." He replied grimly.

'Of course, I have a suspicion over where she acquired the ability to command Grimm. But I will not tell the girls about that. I need more information myself first.'

"Her uncle? You mean that drunkard?" Weiss asked incredulously.

"Indeed, that is who I was talking about." The Sith replied with a slight grin.

Blake looked slightly horrified, but before she could say anything Yang snorted amusedly.

"I would be offended if it wasn't true." She said humorously.

The cat Faunus switched her gaze to her partner, looking slightly shocked.

This caused the blonde to laugh.

Wayle shook his head bemusedly at this interaction.

He started getting up, before realising that he wasn't properly clothed.

"Whoa, Wayle. Are you sure you can get up yet?" Yang asked as she realised what he was doing.

"I am fine." He said, feeling out his muscles to make sure that was true.

"Um, maybe we should… leave him for a little bit, let him put on his clothes again?" Weiss asked uncertainly.

"…Yeah, let's do that…" Blake agreed, if a bit slowly.

"I mean, I think it would probably be fine for Bl- "The blonde gal began.

"Yang!" The raven-haired girl interrupted.

Wayle looked over to where Ruby was, but he couldn't see any signs of stirring or her otherwise having been disturbed.

Blake got the hint, and immediately placed her hands over her mouth.

"Okay, we're going. Now." Weiss declared imperiously, directing her words to her team-mates.

Once they had left Wayle extricated himself from his resting place, and got up on his feet.

Apart from a slight wobbliness, probably the result of prolonged rest, he was perfectly fine, as he had thought.

He found his clothes and put them on quickly.

He would probably need to call for a meeting later. Once the whole situation with the girls was sorted that was.

He took one last look at Ruby, noting that she was sleeping peacefully. Curiously, he tried seeing if she had any surface thoughts at the moment.

And immediately stalled as he realised the contents of her dream…

She… and… is that-? Three-.

Nope.

He immediately left, deciding that those were far too private, and wondering how he even managed to see that in the first place.

Of course, by the time he exited the door there was no sign of this at all on his features.

He noted idly that he recognised the hallway he entered, and that they weren't all that far from the meeting room, or the personal quarters.

This was also when he realised they were in the Army of Union Headquarters.

He could probably have checked and found out at any time he wanted really…

He then turned his attention to the waiting girls.

"So, what now?" He asked them.

"Maybe you can show us around a bit?" Yang suggested with a slight smirk that almost made Wayle refuse.

"Yang, are you sure we should ask someone of his position to show-?" Weiss started, but the young Lord interrupted her by holding up a hand.

"Why not? I am sure I have some time for that." He said. "But, I do not particularly know the building all that well."

"I'm sure it'll be fine." The blonde assured happily. "Soo, I'm curious, do you have a room of your own here?" She then asked with a mischievous look in her eyes.

Her team-mates looked at her incredulous expressions.

Wayle sighed. "Yes, yes I do. It is located in conjunction with my study. I do not know why you would want to know its location, unless you desired mischief, but I do not mind showing you." He said tiredly, having somewhat anticipated this.

He led the way, taking a few quick turns here and there. Before arriving at the doors that led into his quarters…

Wait a second…

He quickly peeked into his study to make sure it was the same as always. It was.

Okay, good.

Then why was he certain it hadn't quite been quarters he had last time he checked?

He opened the door leading into the room, and finding that it was larger than he remembered.

And what was with that massive bed?

Yang's "Oh my" didn't help at all, especially seeing as she was looking straight at the bed.

Wayle supressed the desire to scream "Aureus!" at the top of his lungs.

That man works far too quickly.

Author's notes: And here we go. I have been on vacation, which is the reason I haven't updated for a while. I'm not entirely sure how well this came out, so I hope you will all share your opinions on the matter. It would be nice. Probably.

I hope you enjoyed and that you have a nice day.
