(An. since your character isn't given much of a backstory in the games I decided to have a bit of fun and make my own while playing. also Roy is Barry, I wanted to use a different name than Barry while playing. also I decided to add a little bit of anime continuity in to make things a little easier for me. But most of it will be based around the games.)
Chapter 1
Hi my name is Venus and I'm from Twinleaf Town in the Sinnoh region. I live with my mum. My father is a criminal who was a high ranked executive in a criminal organization, and my big brother ran away from home. My goal is to find my big brother and possibly any information regarding my father. But the thought of becoming a trainer is pretty exciting.
I went down stairs to greet my mum and have breakfast, before saying goodbye and leaving for Sandgem Town and Professor Rowan's laboratory.
While exiting my house I bumped into my friend Roy who is also on his way to the lab.
"Hi Venus." said Roy.
"Hi Roy." I replied back.
"Want to walk to the lab together?" asked Roy.
"Sure I'd love to." I replied back as we started walking.
"Professor Rowan's lab, Sandgem Town."
"Whew we finally made it." said Roy.
"So you two must be the new trainers here for your starter pokemon?" asked Professor Rowan.
"Yep!" replied Roy enthusiastically.
"Well you two. have you decided on what starter you're going to pick?" asked Professor Rowan.
"No not really." I replied hesitantly.
"Me Neither." replied Roy.
"Well then. Why don't you come inside and have an up close look at the three starters?" asked Professor Rowan.
"Sure!" replied me and Roy as we made our way inside.
Inside, there was a table with three Pokemon on it. A blue penguin, orange chimp and a green turtle.
"Now you should know the names and types from the postcards I sent you." asked Professor Rowan.
"Yep!" me and Roy replied back.
"Good. then you may choose your starters." said Professor Rowan.
"I'll let you go first Venus." said Roy.
"Thanks." I replied. Now which one should I choose?
