—Prologue—
A vision blinks open groggily, a hazy gaze over someone as he lays on the ground unmoving.
"Ugh..." A young mans voice groans softly as his eyes start to flutter open. Blinking, he feels an unfamiliar feeling as a chilly wind blows through him.
'Mmmm... What...?' He lazily says as he starts to realize something is extremely wrong. "!" Quickly he wakes and lifts himself up as he stares wide eyed at his surroundings.
An ice cold chill runs down his spine as he stares at the dark, cold, and pitch black rocks of a massive cavern. Jagged stone and various rocks everywhere with protrusions sticking all the way up to the sky. With a dimly lit light source lighting the interior in a slightly blue hue.
The cave was not empty, and to the side he could see a structure of some sort. With pillars long and thick, and in between them, clearly seen 7 large statues, crudely made and titling below the "Seven deadly sins of man". Wrath, Pride, Lust, Greed, Gluttony, Sloth and Envy. Each of them so unrealistically huge no ordinary man could carve them.
'What the hell?! Where am I?!' He thought as he scrambled to his knees hastily in fear. "What?!" He shouted. Staring at the vacant unrecognizable place he's been brought to. "Is this a dream? What is going on...?" He says trying to figure out his situation.
"Right you are my boy." A old, gravely voice suddenly calls out from behind him. Instantly spinning his head around in response. "?!" His jaw dropping at the person behind him, and the sight with of him.
As in-front of his eyes, a literal stone staircase lead up to a large round stone circle, residing by 7, large intimidating stone thrones. With stone and rock formations surrounding all around it cleanly. And a large stone structure behind all of the 7 thrones. A lightning emblem on it. A light source coming from somewhere up above.
"Hello, Shido Itsuka." A man says his name greeting him so casually. Stroking a long white beard, dangling from loose, bald headed skin and wearing a long grey robe. His appearance old, frail, and ancient looking. However, the thing that stood out above all was that in his right hand, held a long, dark staff. Its tip bundled like branches incasing a large crystal, illuminated a blue white light.
Shido, quickly hoists himself up in shock and confusion. Trying to process whats going on as he still takes in the old man and his surroundings.
"It is nice to meet you. And yes, like you said this is a dream." The old man says as Shido is unable to answer in a daze. "Wh-what to y-you... mean?" He says in a whisper. His hands close to his chest as his whole body shakes uncontrollably. The old man replies only tilts his head and smiles through his beard. Seemingly amused by the boys confusion.
"Hmm, your naivety and confusion brings happiness to this sodden old man. It is...invigorating to see such...youth again. But," The man soon turns serious as he looks at Shido earnestly. Shido, who is still shaken, was now even more confused and now, curious. "you are not ready yet unfortunately. But, soon you will be." He says confidently.
"Wait... What?"
"You will see soon enough Shido Itsuka. Just stay safe," The man says as he shakily lifts his staff and clicks on the smooth stone floor. "and remember."
Rumble, Rumble, Rumble,
"!" And immediately after, a loud rumbling sound echoed across the cavern as the area begins to shake and tremble violently. Rocks crumbling from the roof, as Shido reactively sweats and panics at the dangerous atmosphere. "What the hell?!" He shouts afraid as he scarily looks at the old man, who looks at him with determination.
"That this moment forward will change your life..." The man finishes as Shido begins to lose consciousness and his vision fades to black as his thoughts flee running wild.
"forever." He finishes, as everything fades to black.
[Opening]:
The music plays as the moon appears with the Earth is then panned downwards. As on the surface a humungous mass of black energy began to form and destroy everything.
("Spirits.")
Narration begins as an old man began to speak, old and frail.
("Mysterious girls appearing from another world.")
A white void is shown as a girl in violet colored armor, and a small girl in a oversized green hoodie with a puppet appears. Both floating down as the old man continues.
("Causing unparalleled destruction upon the Earth.")
A red haired girl covered in flames and wearing a white kimono comes down wielding a giant red double bladed battle axe. Fire consumes her and the screen.
("To face such beings with brute force and overwhelming weaponry. Or address them with love and acceptance.")
A white haired girl floats down equipped with military weapons and a black skintight suit. Guns and bullets all over a table as she picks up and examines one.
("My time as a protector is over. And now, a new man must step up, and respond to these beings acts of destruction upon the Earth.")
A black void accompanies a girl in a dark red dress, smiling eerily at the viewer. Ghostly white hands began to slide out of the floor in the thousands.
("I have put my hopes into this one man.")
Lighting cracks powerfully as a man in a red suit stands turning around. Lightning spirals around him as a glowing yellow lightning emblem is revealed.
("As I trust in him, the responsibility to protect this world from these otherworldly beings. And that mans name is,")
The mans face is shown as a flash of white light is blared with the cracking sound of thunder in a storm. As the title appears in white.

Date A Live: Mightiest mortal
In the year 2021 a supernatural phenomenon occurred near the country of Eastern Europe. A spacial anomaly erupted seemingly out of nowhere, and destroyed nearly half of Asia. Over thousands of people were dead, and soon over the years, many more of these anomalies began to ravage the world. Over the years after so many incidents and the spacial distortion properties, the public has named these strange phenomenons.
Spacequakes.
Because of this unearthly precedence, humanity screamed in fear. Governments were torn, scientists were baffled, the media became a cesspool, and people in general thought it was the end times, end of days, armageddon.
When suddenly, in the face of overwhelming odds, a powerful organization rose seemingly out of nowhere. Making its way all across Europe, possessing technology 30 years ahead of its time, research unlike any other in the world, and finally. A way to combat the seemingly impending doom.
DEM, Deus Ex Machina.
And the people were suspicious, obviously, but the things they produced and brought out peeked immediately the eyes of the world. And above all, with seemingly nothing to turn to in the face of these anomalies. The world surrendered, governments and nations were asking and people begged.
Which DEM quickly and cherishingly provided.
Henceforth, the worlds response to these spacequakes was a marvelous technological boon. Bringing in weaponry, technology, and research like sci-fi to protect and safeguard the world. And soon enough, for some unknown reason, spacequakes began to cease, nearly disappearing over the decade. The world was safe, and from the technology and research, boomed in advancement. In an age of technology and prosperity.
Chapter 1: The Girl In Violet Armor
In a dimly lit bedroom, a figure is covered in a blanket as the light from the nearby window passes through the curtains. A peaceful silence as birds chirp in the distance. The room is quiet, a computer and desk to the right, a closet to the left. And bunch of other stuff elsewhere.
"Gah!" The boy wakes up violently as he jolts up from his sheets. Shido, awoke from his sleep in a cold sweat. His black pajamas moist with sweat. Breathing heavily as his eyes are wide as possible. He hastily reaches for the curtains and pulls them apart, quickly blinding him as he looks back down.
'What... What was...? What the hell was that?!' He screams in his head as he clutches his bed sheets and tightens his jaw. His mind filling and going wild with questions unanswered. 'Was that a dream?! Where was I?! What were those statues?! Who was that old man?! What the hell is going on?!'
Bang!,
"Big brother!" A loud feminine voice breaks through as a cheerful young girl busted through the door with an overwhelming presence of positivity. "!" Shido immediately gasped as he looks in shock at the girl calling "big brother".
The girl was around 14 years old. Her hair a bright pinkish red, tied into 2 long twin tails tied by 2 white ribbons. And her small petite frame dressed in a lovely blue sailor school outfit, with thigh high lack stockings. Her entire being exfoliating joy and happiness and embodying the word "imouto".
'Kotori...?' Shido realizes.
"Goood morning!" Kotori smiled brightly excluding her wake up call. "Hm?" But quickly sees the sorry state her brother has woken up to. Worryingly she dashes to him with concern. "Uh... big bro, whats wrong? Your completely covered in sweat!" She asks a bit unnerved by his appearance.
"...Oh, uh... Don't worry Kotori, it was just a bad nightmare. Sorry for worrying you, I'll get up quick ok?" Shido smiles as he dissuades his sisters worries. Cutely patting her on the head as she sighs in relief. "Mmm... Well alrighty then, be sure to get up soon big bro! Wouldn't want to miss the first day of school would we?" She giggles getting off. "Oh! And don't forget breakfast!" She pauses before closing the door on her way out.
"Yeah! Totally, I'll be up in a minute!" Shido replied back before turning silent. His expression calming as he holds his chin up in deep concentration.
'Was that... a dream...? It was so real... ...Just what the hell was that?!'
'It was just a dream...but it was so bizarre,' Shido thought as he cooked swiftly preparing breakfast. 'and so surreal...' The sounds of pots and pans clanging as Shido, fully dressed in a white sleeved up shirt, brown pants, and a pink apron.
Cling, Cling, Cling,
Whisking the egg yolk intently. He pours it carefully onto the pan, the oil sizzling of the egg satisfying as he checks on the rice pot before taking out 8 strips of bacon from the fridge. Then pulling a vine of 8 small but plump tomatoes. 'Just... Uh! What the actual hell was that thing...?'
'Who was that old man...? And... why did he say that...?' He thought, sizzling the bacon on the pan with the eggs as he checks the miso soup before placing the whole tomato vine onto the same pan. 'Eh, god, or I'm just looking way to much into this. It was just a dream right. Right?' He takes a gander around at all the food. All of it looking mouthwatering and delicious.
'Right... Can't be anything but. Just... forget about and focus on the food.' He closes, smiling brightly as he soon thought of the first day of school back. Before the hum buzz of the television clicks open mans voice comes from the TV. As Kotori is sat on a couch in the living room. The clicking of the remote catching his attention. 'Hm?' Shido tilts his head.
"Today's morning news, we have reported a recent spacequake." He says.
"Hey Kotori, what are you watching?" He asked. "Boring stuff, you know, the news." Kotori replied, huddled on the couch as the news began to talk about a recent supernatural disaster, a spacequake. "Going on about a spacequake today!"
"Earlier this morning spacequake was reported appearing around the edge of the city." The reporter said as footage shows from a aerial view a large crater like hole in the ground. The hole was smoking, with scotch marks could be seen within it.
"Witnesses say that the quake was quite small, but still did significant damage to the area." He continues as shown all around the hole large chunks of land and rock were blown out of the ground. With ash and similar smoking scorch marks.
"Fortunately no one within the vicinity was hurt or injured. Officials are still looking into it as to why this has happened." A woman continues.
"Civilians are advised to stay cautious as to this recent event." She says showing multiple other shots of destruction around the hole with a warning symbol on the screen.
Ah, and now I have that to worry about?' Shido inwardly shudders at the screen. 'And I mean jeez, today of all days! A school day!" A looming presence settling over him as he takes his eyes back to the oven. 'This is getting... pretty bad...'
"Another one, eh? Thats what, the 2nd time this week?" He asked, turning to his sister, flipping the eggs and bacons.
"Yeah..." She replied as she popped something in her mouth. "This is getting real dangerous now ya know." Shido sighs inwardly as he begins seasoning their food.
"I almost don't even want to go outside." He says mixing and drizzling the salts and peppers evenly over the tomatoes, eggs, and bacon. And dicing small green onions over the eggs carefully. "You can say that again. This is getting pretty serious." Kotori replied in quiet, serious tone. Clicking the remote as she lays lazily on the couch. Shido taste tests the soup, and then begins to take out the dishes. "Mmm, hey heads up I'm about finished over here." He tells.
"Oh! Uh... Yeah! You got it bro." Kotori quickly replied unfocused with a thumbs up. 'Mmmm...' Shido turns to his sister dubiously. Narrowing his eyes at her tone and posture. A creeping devious smile forming on his lips as he looks at her.
"Oh and Kotori?" He says. "Yeah?" She replied. "Did I ever tell you no sweets before eating?" He said, his little sister immediately gulped in response, a faint crack sound coming from her mouth. "Tch, tch," Causing Shido to shake his head, grinning.
"no, I don't think so... So you better spit-take it into the garbage, chew it up fast..." He turns his head, Kotori slowly turns as she reveals a pink and red swirled lollipop. Her face white as a ghost to her brother's expression. "Or I'm taking it myself." Him sporting a large, gruesome smile strewn around his face as he eyes the girl and her lolli.
"MMMM!" She cried out loud! "Yes! Yes big bro right away!" Almost springing from the couch and manically goes to the hallway bathroom. Shido's ghoulish smile fading as he laughs hard at her reaction.
'Hahaha! Oh that was priceless!' He laughs, checking back to their breakfast. Making sure everything is perfect, he turns off the oven as he delicately places the dishes.
Hehehe... Ah... Alright, breakfast, beginning of the day, most important meal.'He says as, from the left of him, a small ding dinged with two, golden brown bread slices waiting.
'Show time.'
—Change scene—
At the dinner table sat the 2 siblings. Gulping down each and every morsel of their delicious breakfast. A plate of scrambled eggs with green onion, 4 plump tomatoes, 9 pieces of fatty bacon, miso soup, and with a side of 2 golden brown toast. The siblings both eating very similar but incredibly different. Shido calmly savoring each 2 or 4 bites, And Kotori just eating with a mix of ferocity and cleanliness.
Kotori looked up to her brother as she dangled a piece of bacon on her mouth. "Hey Shido?" She asked.
"Yeah?" He replies.
"What... were you dreaming about, or having a nightmare about? Y'know, with all that sweat and stuff?" She asked curiously. As previously, the smell and drench of Shido's pj's were so bad, that they needed to put them with the laundry immediately. Her brother looked down busy sipping his soup.
"Oh, uh..." He nervously places it down. "Well, um. This... probably sounds crazy but," He pauses, taking a bite out of his toast and a sip of warm milk. "well, lets just say that I was in this cave. It was cold, and full of nothing right?" He starts, Kotori nodding in sync as she grows increasingly more curious.
"And then, when I turn my head around. This really, really old guy speaks to me. It sounds so much like a lucid dream its crazy." He finishes. Kotori's raised her brow, now intrigued at her brothers wild dream.
"And, so what did he say to you?" She asked, her interest peeked. Shido turns his head to the question. "I don't know, I can't exactly remember everything." He said, lying to her.
"Hmm..." Kotori paused for a second as she ate. "Pretty suspicious, but, wow. It sounds like a fantasy adventure anime opening of some kind. What a cool sounding dream big bro!" She cheerfully bursts. Shido smiles at her big faced praise. The 2 getting back to it as they begin finishing up everything.
"Yeah, a B anime at best or something." He humorously adds. "With superpowers and harems am I right? And a pretty average plot line?" He continues, his sister giggling like a 5 year old.
'Whew! Glad thats outta the way.' '... But...though...should I have told her...?' He paused in thought '...No, no I don't think so. She might've been more worried than curious if I did...' He concluded preemptively. Scrapping up the pieces of bacon and eggs as he slurps the last of the soup.
"..." However, just in his thoughts, Kotori narrowly peers up to him expectantly.
'Should just think about school. I hope to see Hiroto today. Haven't talked to him for a while now.' He grins, just as his plate was totally empty.
"Hey big bro?" Kotori then raised her hand slowly. Shido looked her way. "Can I ask you something?" She asked as a small coy smile flushed on her face. Shido raised a brow at her gesture.
"Um, sure, what?" He says.
"About where we're gonna meetup at. ...AND where we're gonna have lunch today..." She coyly hinted. Shido widening his eyes and straightening his back in response.
'Oh...' He pursed his lips. 'Oh boy...'

"You wanted to come to... Danny's diner..." Shido looks down disapprovingly at his sister. "Yep! And this is where we'll see each other again!" She cheered gleefully.
It was 8:10 and right now and the entire street was busy with schedules. People coming in and out of suits and dresses, others getting out of their homes or having their breakfast at diners. Cars zooming in and out relatively normally.
The 2 were now fully dressed and ready to go. Shido in a white buttoned up shirt a striped blue tie, and covered by a black school jacket with a seal on it to show the school, Raizen. As well as the same brown pants and black grey shoes. Carrying a black book bag filled with supplies. Kotori was in her already middle school sailor uniform and black stockings. With small brown shoes now added.
"But its just some run of the mill diner. Nothing to good about it..." He sighed at the red and yellow sign up above. Clearly cheap and...probably ripped off. "Where did this even come from to eat at a diner anyways?" He asks.
"I dunno, I just had the sudden urge to come here." She cutely shrugged. Smiling opposite of her brother as she lightly swings her own pink book bag.
"Okay, then," Shido relents. "have it your way. We'll meet back here after school and for lunch, okay?" He smiled. "Mmhm!" Kotori joyfully nods. Before hugging her brother strongly out of nowhere.
"Kotori?" Shido confusingly asked. She looks up at him with a serious unnerved face. 'What the hell? What is—wait... is she tearing up?!'
"Promise me..." She pleaded, Shido quickly vowing hastily for the sake of embarrassment. '?!' However unpleasant glances were already giving him some looks. Him immediately starting to sweat drop at them.
"Okay, okay I promise I'll do it. Just let me go and please stop crying..." He promised, Kotori jumping back to her place and then running around him to the back. "Good big bro! And I'll keep mine too! You'll be coming 2nd, so I'll have to stay here waiting for a while." She smiled, before turning again serious. "I'll be here even if a terrorist attacks or a robber appears!" She swiftly and athletically kicks and punches the air.
With now those unpleasant looks turning into wide eyed confusion.
"Woah, woah, woah! Woah, okay, you've made your point I get it." Shido quickly stops her assault as he pats and ruffles her hair with a smile. Kotori giggling nicely as she jumps back further.
"Okay, okay, I get it." She finishes, grabbing her bag and hulling it over her shoulder. Turning to the left, she runs towards her new middle school day. "See ya later big bro!" She calls from the sidewalk, waving big happy and excited.
Shido waves back silently with a decent smile on his face.
"And don't forget! I'll even be here even if a spacequake happens!" She calls, her figure disappearing over the edge to where she was no longer visible. Leaving Shido all by himself... with the now onlooking people. Specifically, a group three girls across the street, wearing the same outfit as him.
And all three were looking at him.
"Hey girls did you just see that?" A blonde, tomboyish girl asks to her friends. A short haired brunette, and a glasses wearing long dark hair girl.
"Y-Y-Yeah, that was Shido Itsuka and his sister." The brunette, Mai, said. "And man do they look... really close." Unnerved by the bizarre relationship between them. "I swear the guy's quiet and all but you gotta wonder sometimes." She added.
"He's giving me the chills, what a creeper." The blonde, Ai, cringed.
"So lame..." Their dark haired friend, Mii, monotoned finally.
Shido chilled at her outburst as he looks all around at the people. He plays with his tie as he loosens it a bit with a gulp, before turning to nothing around him.
Click, click, click,
'Hm?' The clicking of shoes could be heard as it grows nearer towards him. '?!' He turns around hesitantly to his left again as then a sudden hand popped down on his shoulder. As a boys voice calls his name from behind.
"Yo Shido—"
"Gah!" Shido jumps before turning around. Facing an old friend from middle school. "Oh my god Hiroto. Don't do that to someone!" He reliefs at a boy with slicked back silky black hair. "...? Hmph..." He smirks, wearing the same exact uniform as him with black pants. His phone right to his face as he greets his best friend.
"That scared you badly Itsuka? Kotori must've really done a number with her words huh?" He smirked "You know I did hear that last one "I'll be even if theres a spacequake!"." He flashed his lashes, gaining a punch in the shoulder by Shido for the reminder.
"Ow man!" He grunted. Pocketing away his device.
"Yeah thanks for that jerk. But anyways," He scoffed, before pulling a bro fist. Hiroto smirked, taking it welcomely. "its good to see ya again man." He smiled. "Hmph, same to you man. Good to see you." He smirked, pulling back. The 2 starting to walk towards the right together as one of them starts the conversation.
"So, how've you've been lately? Haven't seen you in a while." Shido asked. Curious as to where his best friend has been in the last 2 months.
"Oh, uh, well, I've been sorta busy." Hiroto explained. "Kinda been studying up and reviewing my notes from last year for the semester." He confidently says. Showcasing a bigger black book bag, and his own large backpack. Filled with nothing but information, notes, and studying material.
"Oh wow, didn't see those." Not noticing earlier. "Did you really do all that? You must be well prepared." Shido looked impressed with his friends foresight.
"Oh, noo, actually I don't think its anything THAT good but, it helps." Hiroto says before changing the subject. "But anyways, so are you ready for the semester Shido?" He asks. Shido retorting wholeheartedly.
"You betcha I am. Didn't do any reviewing like you. But I'm still looking forward to it today." He grins, excluding his own confidence.
'I'm really looking forward to it today...' He thought.
"...Oh..." Hiroto then began to shake nervously. "And I MIGHT'VE been busy with some events and stuff..." Scratching his head as Shido stopped dead in his tracks. "Got me pretty excited and.."
"Hiroto..." Shido stopped and slowly turned his head to him hiding his expression. "You mean for 2 months... 2 months..." He began, as he recalls his friends uber obsession with a certain cape wearing genre.
"But they had really good stuff and it was so cool!" Hiroto began to scream like a fanboy. "I bought and sold so many crap dude! I had to do everything in my power to get them! I spent hours redesigning my entire room!" He uttered as he pumped up his hands trying to excuse himself. "I just got caught up okay you know how it is with me—"
"Hiroto..." Shido silenced him, immediately making him gulp.
Shido opened his eyes to a wide fury as he shouts. "Buying comic books, action figures, posters and props doesn't justify your 2 month absence while I was alone dealing with Kotori and SCHOOL PREP!" He shouts infuriated.
Back at near the diner, and with the 3 trio of girls.
"Hey wasn't that Tonomachi Hiroto over there?" Mai said. Staring off at the direction where their 2 other schoolmates headed. "Haven't seen him in while. Forgot he was friends with Itsuka." She added.
"I heard that he and him were boyfriends, in a relationship." Ai retorts. "No I'm fairly certain thats a ruse." Mai shakes her head disagreeing. "Although I do hear he has a well... "popular" relationship with the girls..." She says.
"Lame..." Mii simply comments.
"And did you see that big backpack he was carrying?" Ai remarks. "He must've been real prepared for today if thats all school stuff." Recalling to seeing his load.
"Oh yeah, I also heard that aside "that", is that he's actually a nerd." Mai comments. The 3 nodding in unison, as one of them, Mai, notices something out of her peripheral view.
"Wait... Hey girls, is that..." She says, tilting her body to see ahead of them, another girl with white albino hair wearing the same outfit as them. A black blazer with a tie and white undershirt as well as a short blue skirt and white thigh high socks. Her physique slender yet quite attractive.
"...Origami Tobichii?" Her back turned away from them and looking at the 2 boys ahead.
"Woah. The number 1 school super genius?" Ai said confusingly. "And she's watching them?!" All 3 friends in surprise at what the girl was doing.
"..."
All the while, the girls face is completely neutral, indifferent to everything as she only captivates at one person, one boy, Shido Itsuka.

Ding!, ding!, ding!,
The school bell rings as Raizen high school is flooded with footsteps of students. Everyone placing their shoes in and given schedules heading to their respective classes. Others late, not arriving, or lost in the halls. And others were already talking and catching up with their peers.
Shido and Hiroto already at their desks as others filled the room. The 3 girls Ai, Mai, and Mii including. A relatively quiet silence takes over the room. As Shido gets lost in his thought, and with his memories.
'...Why? Why?! ...Why did... he, say that?' Shido is sat at his desk 16 from the 4th row. His mind in contemplation as he raises his hand to his chin. Hiroto sitting right in-front of him.
'I can't... I just can't get that thing outta my head!' He screamed internally, ranting. 'Everything about it is driving me insane! I've got it on my mind all freakin morning! And that spacequake report this morning?! Just what is going on this mornin—'
He jerked, suddenly being pulled away. "Hey Shido, wake up." Hiroto shakes his shoulder. "Gotta pay attention soon if you want to make a good impression on the teacher." He says. "And wheres the heck is your stuff?" He then scans his desk, empty of supplies. While his was already filled with pencils, pens, notebooks, highlighters, etc.
"Oh, uh, sorry man." He says. "Must be drifting off today I guess." He falsely chuckles. Taking out his notebooks, pencils and pens. Hiroto smiles nodding. "Sooo..." Before turning around with a sly smirk. Shido slightly paled at his expression. "Wanna know something interesting...?" He said.
"Um... I'm hesitant to ask but go ahead." He replied. "Well... I was gonna tell ya earlier, but we got to caught up..."" Hiroto then fished out his phone as he quickly switched through his apps. "Check it." He said as he held out the screen to him.
'...What in the...?' Causing Shido to immediately question what was put in his face.
On the screen showed a bright pink title screen of a cute dating simulator app. Showing the picture of a twin tailed pink haired girlfriend wearing a bright pink sailor uniform. "Use me as you wish senpai!" It said.
"What in the hell is this?!" Shido demanded, disturbed by this "dating app", but more importantly the fact that Hiroto's online "girlfriend" looks conveniently like Kotori. "Why do you have that and... why does she look like my sister!?" He paused before continuing.
"Woah, woah, woah! Her looks is just a huge convenience. The main girl is defaulted like this." Hiroto hastily retorted. "And besides, I wanted to do this anyways! You know, simulator, to pick up girls?" He shrugged sweat dropping.
"What the hell could a dating simulator help you do that?!" Shido said. Disbelief in thinking his friend would stoop so low.
"Hey now! I know what this looks like but trust me. This thing actually helps me. Its got routes, locations, tips, options and choices, etc, etc. It feels like I'm on an actual date!" Hiroto explains. "And sure its fictional and dumb, but I swear "she's" my girlfriend." Hiroto finishes. Shido nodding understandingly.
'That helps you?...'
"Well, whatever flows your boat man. If it help you thats fine." He finishes. Still unhinged by the creepily similar design but lets it go.
"Hello, Shido Itsuka." A girls voice rings out aside the two. ""!?"" They turn, both facing the girl from before. Her hair clear white, with 3 blue pins clipped in. Her face was unemotional and her tone was monotoned. Her gaze directly focusing on him.
Both boys nervous at this sudden girls appearance and calling out Shido's name.
"Um, yes we—" He looks to Hiroto, who more jaw dropped in shock, unresponsive. "I, help you?" He asks perturbed. She tilts her her head at his response.
"Hm, you... don't... remember..." She whispers, backing up a little. "Um, wait? What did you say?" He asks confused. "Mmm." She shakes her head. "No don't worry, its just... nice to meet you." She pulls her hand out patiently.
'...?' Shido looks at it for a minute, before accepting her handshake. "Uh, okay, nice to meet you too I guess." He says. Finished, she goes to her seat quietly, taking out a text book to read.
Shido pauses before noticing the attention of the entire class turned to him.
"Uh..." He slowly turns to his friend. "What was tha—!?" He says before being shaken up like a rag doll.
"DUDE!" Hiroto shouted. "Do you have any idea how lucky you are?!"
"What, no get off me!" Shido slap him away. "What the hell, whats wrong with you?" He asks even more confused. Hiroto looked at him as if he was a child. "Dude. That was Origami Tobichii. The number 1 top student in the school!" He says. "She's most popular and talented girl here! She's got top honors, perfect fitness, and number 1 in all subjects. How do you not know her?!" He demanded.
"What? W-Well I guess I've never heard of her or something." Shido blushed crossing his arms. "But anyways. What would someone like her want with me?" He asks.
"Dunno," Hiroto shrugs. "but it must be something serious. That girl is one of the top 3 for most beautiful in the school. And man is it true." He eyes sparkles "Her white albino hair, blue eyes and slender but built physique. She's like a real life anime girl! What I wouldn't give to have her on a dat—!" He begins to drool before being elbowed in the elbow.
"Hey, pull yourself together man. No time to drool on the ground." He says smiling. Hiroto embarrassingly began to retort. "!"
Ding!, ding!, ding!,
Before the 2nd bell rings as the students all sat down, as the doors slid open.
"Ah! Sorry I'm late!" A soft feminine voice apologizes. Revealing a young looking woman. She was short, with curly short brown hair and wearing small cute pink glasses. Dressed in a pink flowery shirt and brown yellow dress with a ruby necklace dangling from her neck.. The new teacher.
"My name is Okamine Tamae. But you may call me Ms. Okamine." She bowed in front of the class. Everyone cheered, thrilled and a bit excited for the cute, new teacher.
"WOW, she is young looking." Hiroto comments, whistling at the surprisingly beautiful teacher. "Yeah, never seen a class this riled up before." Shido, more impressed with the classes enthusiasm as he shakes his head in disbelief. "But I guess thats what you get when you have a younger woman as your teacher..."
"Now, now everyone. You may all chat and talk later. But class is in session." She orders. "Now, would you all please take a seat and open your textbooks, we may begin." She commands taking up her utensil.
The rest of the class does as told as they now begin.
—Change scene—
Elsewhere, in a darkly lit metal room. A large multitude of monitors and holographic screens display loads of information. Charts, graphs, maps, etc. The main monitor detailing the entire Tengu city. As well as a 3d holographic projector of the city on display as well. Showing the roads, buildings, interiors, even wind and precipitation levels.
As on the 2 maps, a single but noticeable red dot flickering near the center of the city. Energy levels nearby going on and off. However strangely beside the levels of energy, a silhouette of a person is right next to them. The energy reading from them as "spiritual energy."
"Contriella aura avu yotorimee skalv." A man speaks in a different language. Alongside 5 other people each with their own computer and monitors.
"Intensitetto folto shigelsa tori comma fein" A woman adds similarly. The energy levels now rising. The red dot now appearing and excluding a pulse of orange.
"Monsto machinichi Princess!" Another man shouts as the silhouette now is titled "Princess". Body temperatures now present within it.
"Oh..." A man sighs, he has white blonde hair. "She's here." He declares, smiling. "Someone alert the commander immediately." He then orders. """""Yes lieutenant sir!""""" The many members followed suit.
—Change scene—
Ding!, ding!, ding!,
"So Shido" The school bell rings a 1st period class was finally now over. "Wanna walk home together after school? I got something cool to show ya!" As Hiroto is asking his friend over the desk.
"If it's one of your superhero fanboy things count me out please.." Shido retorted as he already knew what he was thinking. As a new movie had recently come out and it was placed conveniently close to here.. His friend looking devastated. "Hey! I know what I did okay! But I promise you I'll let you join ok? It's gonna be awesome!" He shouts, uplifting himself pausing for a moment. "But seriously though do you want to come or not?"
"Nah, I'm meeting my sister at the diner. Maybe next time alright." He replied unfocused. Looking out the window in a daze as the same thing was now on his mind.
'I... I still can't that out of my head! Everything I dreamt was so real! It felt real, it sounded real. It was like I was there!' Still contemplating ever since the lesson began. 'And I know its what he said! Hell, it sounded so descriptive and like a warning that I can't stop thinking about it...'
"Oh well, I hope something doesn't get in your way, like she said right?" He said. "What she say again? A spacial quake?" He puts a hand to his chin. "Terrorists, robbers... man somethings wrong with your sister..." He blinks perplexed. "Yeah, I can't really stop her, she just says somethings like that for no reason. But I can't actually believe she would say something like that out of nowhere—!"
BEEP!, BEEP!, BEEP!,
He comments before a loud blaring alarm goes off. "Ow! What the hell?!" He shouts covering his ears. The entire class doing the same. As the intercom speaks from above.
"ATTENTION! A SPACIAL QUAKE HAS BEEN SPOTTED NEAR THE CITY! THIS IS NOT A DRILL! I REPEAT, THIS, IS NOT A DRILL!" A booming female voice warns. Grabbing everyone's attention Immediately.
"Holy shit..." Hiroto curses, sweat drops harshly. 'I DIDN'T THINK HE MEANT IT LITERALLY!'
"ALL FACULTY AND STUDENTS REPORT TO THE UNDERGROUND SAFETY BUNKER IMMEDIATELY!" The woman demands.
'What the hell?!' Shido looking similarly mortified. Looking at all the others with either shock or fear... except for one.
'Tobichii?' He wondered as she stood straight up and rushed through the door outside without anyones notice, except for him. 'Where's she going...?'
"Dude!" Hiroto snapped him out of it. "We need to go now!" He pointed towards the others.
"O-Okay everyone! F-F-Form a single file line and quickly head towards the bunker!" Okamine exclaimed overwhelmed. Everyone lining up quickly as they hastily make their way down to safety.
Outside, the loud alarms blare throughout the city as safety measures were being taken over the impending supernatural disaster. Civilians either staying at their home, their area, or quickly finding a place to bunker down in. Trains, cars, and small houses were being lifted down the ground by huge fortified metal gates.
Larger buildings were being locked down by reinforced metal shudders and plates as civilian workers rush down to their underground safety bunker.
The entire city was now on serious lockdown. Quiet, barren and desolate as could be.
The entire school was being led down into the bunker. Long metal escalators heading down into the ground below. Everyone evenly but hastily going down one by one.
"Shido! Come on! At this rate we'll be the last ones!" Hiroto called as he followed the class below. Shido all the while thinking and distracted by the entire room. Made entirely of steel and other materials.
'Holy crap look at this place, its like I'm going down a military bunker...' He thought before Hiroto pulled him closer. "Do you want to be last or something hurry up!"
"Oh!" Shido shakes his head. "Right I'm sorry, I got distracted was all." He said. Hiroto facepalming at his friend. Before then Shido remembers something.
"I'll be here even if a spacequake happens!"
'Oh god...' He thought. "Hang on I need to check on something." He stopped, turning serious as he quickly brought out his phone and began checking it. Going through the lock and apps to the GPS app system.
'Come on, come on.' He thought.
Touching the screen, he sees a map of the entire area. Typing in Kotori's phone number, he sighs in false relief. 'Come on, come on, what am I doing anyways? Your gonna be totally fi...'
Before looking at the screen at her sisters current location.
"What could you possibly want to do on tour pho—?" Hiroto chastised before blinking wide eyed seeing his friends face. "Oh. My. God..." His expression, a ghoulish, terrified, petrified face as he stared at the screen.
Kotori's cellphone location was at the diner.
'WHAT! WHAT THE FUCK?! WHY IS SHE THERE?!' He screamed in his head as Hiroto came to see. His expression paling as well. "What...? What the hell...?" He put a hand over his mouth. "You two, what are you doing!" Until suddenly appearing was Ms. Okamine. "All the others are currently going in the bunker, why are you still here?!" She demanded angrily and overwhelmed. "Well, lets go!"
"Ms., please you don't understand something just came up." Hiroto tried to explain. Shido on the other hand was quiet and shaking. Turmoil coming over him as he gritted his teeth hard.
"Understand what?!" Okamine asked. "What could be so important to just stand here?!" She demanded. Hiroto again tried to tell. "Looks its just that—"
"What?! Just what could it really be—?!" She demands, Shido's fist clenching up as he grows a knot and a feeling in him.
"Just listen!" Hiroto cuts her wording off. "Shido's sister not in safety out there!" Screaming the news. "W-W-Wha..." And Okamine just stood there, a-gasped and shocked. "What...?" She says.
"TCH!"
Before Shido suddenly runs off the opposite direction. "I'm sorry!" He says, sprinting towards the entrance of the bunker as he his best friend and teacher behind.
""W-W-What?! Wait! Shido!"" Both Okamine and Hiroto tried to say before being cut off.
"I'm sorry but I need to make sure she's alright! I'm sorry but don't worry about me alright!" He yells, his voice fading as he was already gone from view. Leaving his best friend and homeroom teacher alone. Hiroto looks at her. "Well..." He looks back, takes a reluctant breath, then to her. "Um... H-He's... gone. ...But we... we need to get out of here." He said placing a hand on her shoulder with a small smile.
"..." Tears starting to from, she nods quietly in agreement.
—Change scene—
Outside, the city is desolate and quiet, the streets are empty as the sirens have stopped blaring. All except for one boy, one student, running through the streets like his life depended on it, or as in someone else's.
'What in the actual hell?!Why is she there?!She can't have been freakin serious could she?!She couldn't be that stupid could she?!I'm gonna die out here?!' He thought as he is covered in sweat after running the whole way without stop or rest. Drowsiness, worry and exhaustion getting to him because of his sister.
'If she's still there... I'm totally gonna hit her for this... Yeah... definitely... Shit...' He pants, finally dropping on his knees dripping sweat. "Okay... I gotta be close..." He pulls his phone as he catches the time.
"Oh shit..." He cursed, 10:01 PM it read. Before coming to he GPS and sees his location. "Oh my god! Yes! I'm really close!" He cheers before beginning to run again.
'God I hope she's okay. Probably scared huddled at the diner or something.' He thought, envisioning his sister pleading for safety and her brother. Faster sprinting because of the thought.
'I am so lucky to be even out here! The spacequake isn't even happen... ing... ...Wait...' He then paused. 'Where...' Keeping up the pace through the streets as he looks around, seeing nothing but empty, desolate roads and nothing else.
'Where IS the spacequake?' He wondered, now recognizing that nothing was happening. And there was no sign of an impending spacequake. 'There's... nothing... I... I don't see or hear... anything...' He began to worry, unable to think what could happen any second. '...So...' He looks around carefully as he began to slow down. '...theres not a quake yet...? I'm safe...?' He thought.
Boom!,
'Huh?!' Before suddenly he hears a sudden pop in his ears, sounding distant and vague. He stopped, trying to listen. 'What was that? Did I just hear something?'
Boom!, boom!, boom!,
'There it is... There's something there...' 3 same sounds then reverberated in the distance. 'But... what is that...?' He thought as the sounds distant become closer and more frequent.
'That... sounds like...'
Bam!, bam!, bam!, bam!, bam!,
'Gunshots?!' 5 different smaller ringing, sounding similar to a firearm triggering. 'Are those gunshots?!' Shido's mind raced. The sounds now of gunfire shooting far, far away from him. 'What the hell?! Those sound like assault rifles or something! Whats going on?!' He thought.
'Is someone fighting? No, it sounds like multiple this related to the spacequake? Wait, what is happenin—?!'
BOOM!, BOOM!, BOOM!,
Before a thunderous boom exploded in the distance. 'WHAT?!' Shido screamed as he could see a massive fiery explosion in the distance going off. Its boom ringing through his ear canals as the wind stale before, now began to pickup exponentially. "Holy shit!" He cursed. "That was an explosion!" The air growing thicker and heavier by the second.
Shido's mind filling and racing with questions. 'What the hells going on?Is this related to the spacequake?!There's gunshots, and explosions?!' He thought. "Just what the hell is happening?! He screamed.
Rumble, rumble,
Before the ground started to rumble and shake beneath him. Cracks began creasing the road as the wind out of nowhere then blew in his face.
"Oh my god!" Shido tries to keep steady he rubs his eyes harshly at the specks of dust blown. 'Oh shit what now—!' He says before looking up and saw something that made his jaw drop and his heart race.
VRRRMMM!,
A gigantic black ball of purple energy began to swell up coming towards him. Everywhere around began to be destroyed and annihilated. The road now breaking apart into chunks and pieces, flying all over or just being destroyed.
"AHHHH!" And taking Shido off his feet with them.
Flinging him and debris across the road hitting him all over his uniform and body. Landing on a hard piece of the road.
Thunk!,
"Ugh!" He lands hard on his front as he grits his teeth hurting. "Gah...! What...? What the hell just fucking happened...?" He opens an eye to see the destruction brought unfortunately upon him. The entire area was reduced to bits, pieces, chunks and shards.
'Oh... yeah... spacequake...' He thought. '...Shit...' He cursed. '...Wait...' Before pausing, looking up, his eyes begin to focus on something peculiar near the impact site. 'What is... What is that...?' He thought curiously. As around the area and all across the pieces of the road, a strange glittery, sparkling purple like hue hovered over everything.
"Ngh..." Slowly getting up with an arm, his other arm faintly hurting, bleeding a little from the palm. His eye closed from the minor discomfort and his legs and abdomen having several small scrapes. A tiny bit of scrap in his skin but nothing actually damaging.
Nearing where he was originally. He could now very well see that the purple hue was some sort of weird ethereal energy. Similar to those in fiction or fantasy.
'...No way...' He thought.
And reaching where once was, he started to realize that whatever happened just made a huge deep hole in the ground. Debris and dirt everywhere. With the purple energy seeming to come from it.
"Wait... You, y-you gotta be kidding me..." He whispered. Before laying eyes on the whole crater. "!" And immediately dropped all sense of reasoning or thought of any kind as he stared at the center. At something completely unreal. Because, in the center of the disaster brimmed hole in the road. Sat a large, enormous, and long golden/metal throne. It was tall, riding looking, and decorated with intricate design and details. However, what was truly eye-catching was the transfixed glowing blue orb connected to what appeared to be a long sword handle at the top. The throne looked archaic, ancient, and most of all out of this world. Transfixed into the ground like a hammer in dirt.
'T-T-Thats... A throne...' Shido body shivered quaking. 'And... is that...'
Shido's blood runs cold at not the throne, but at someone.
'a girl...?' He said.
A girl, beside the throne on one knee. She was beautiful, her skin clear and clean as can be. Her hair was a long, dark purple, tied into a large intricate butterfly shaped accessory on her hair. She was wearing a black corset like dress. Opening at the back and exposing her impressive bust. With a 2 deep layered pink and white mixed gradient skirt. All adorned at the shoulder and waist with a intimidating but gorgeous set of purple, violet, gold and creamed colored armor. Alongside a pair of gauntlets with petal esc cuffs. Sharing her color scheme as well as a pair of armored boots.
Alongside her large golden throne she looked like a beautiful princess from another world entirely. However what surrounded her was destruction and dust. Resulting in an air of uncomfort and intimidation. The earlier ethereal purple energy originating from and around her and her throne.
"..." Shido thoughtlessly and blankly stared at her. "..." Unable to move because even if he did. He still couldn't miss her face. She was neutral, calm and collected but possessing an air of unease over her. And, she was staring right back at him intensely with glowing, purple eyes.
'What an impossibly beautiful girl...' He thought unhelpfully entranced by her, blinks. The girl then breaks the tension as she makes a move and takes action first.
"Hmpf!" She jumped and pushed herself over the throne gracefully. Landing atop the throne as she takes the black handle and breaks it off from the throne, destroying it. A large gleaming silver broadsword uncovered, held to the sky. Its large, large size granting a reactionary gulp from Shido.
"!" Shido then quickly snaps out of it as he frantically tries to move backwards away. She immediately responds by lifting the broadsword so easily, and violently swings it down towards him.
SLASH!,
As a giant wave of purple energy rushes in-front of him, as Shido instinctively ducks to his left in a frenzy. "Shit!" Rolling through the rubble, he tumbles into a debris wall on his side.
"Ugh..." He groans in pain, slowly getting up holding his side.
Swing!,
Before a force of wind opens his eyes to the tip of a glowing blue, thick, metal broadsword. The girl now right in-front of him glaring daggers into his eyes.
"You won't get away..." She threatens, her voice a velvety tone. Shido looks on in fear of the imminent threat.
"...What...?" He could only muster out. She narrows her gaze as she points the tip indicating her aggression. He gulps fearfully in response.
"So I see, you." She coldly declares, pointing her sword at him with the clear intention to harm him. "You too, like them, are here to kill be as well..."
AN: Hello everyone! And welcome to Date A Live: The Mightiest Dates! This is my first ever story a concept of mine and something I'm really hoping to succeed. I really wanted to try it out. And what better way than to show it on fanfiction. I actually tried doing this before a year ago and... well... yeah it was garbage. It was so bad I couldn't stand to see it and deleted my account. It's still up there and if you want to read it by all means please do, tell me everything you want about it, I know I did.
But, aside from that. I do have a reason for crossing over 2 seemingly unrelated series and characters. Cause it seemed pretty neat and something somebody might be interested in.
First, for me, Shazam has always been a very underrated character in comics and media. His look is great. His powers and abilities are literally from gods and legends. He has his own kind of rogues gallery. And his story of a poor kid turning into a superhero with a word was really cool and heartwarming. He's had his own animated movie. The New 52 gave him a cool new origin story. He was awesome in Young Justice. And now has his own live action feature length film that is marvelous.
And then secondly, Date A Live has always had a certain charm to it that really drew me into it. It wasn't really that good, it was kinda mundane with some definite unique moments, nothing exceptional. But I liked it. It was a guilty pleasure of mine. I thought the concept of the show was very entertaining. The characters personalities were cute and likable. The powers and abilities were cool. And the kinda harem was entertaining and fun.
And so, one day when watching the anime, this little idea popped in my head. And it seemed to mix rather well, girls, powers, a good story, etc. So, after a while of brainstorming and contemplating. I decided to make this account and post my idea on here. This is something I hope people can get behind, and more importantly, something I can passionately work on. (again)
I will be starting this story off with 4 chapters so don't expect anything from me for a while till I'm finished. I want to make a good impression that this story will be taken seriously and something I really want to do.
