After some talking with KD, Dawn, Noise and Pumpkin, Tenebrae left. It was getting late, and the Seeker wanted to find the other Wielders before settling in. He kept himself "blind" in a sense, not using his sensory ability in town. He walked to the residential area of Daybreak Town, and he was surprised to see Promise jogging his way.

Promise smiled as the two stopped in front of each other. "There you are," she said. "I was just about to come get you all. Memory just finished speaking to Kai, and we were able to get you all rooms. He is eager to meet all of you as well."

Tenebrae nodded. "Good to know. Though I have no idea where the others are. I was getting tired, so I was going to wait in the area."

Promise nodded in understanding. "Well, I'll go look for them. Memory should be outside the building."

Tenebrae nodded as Promise walked by. He continued to the apartment complexes. Just like Promise said, Memory was leaning on the wall of one. She had her eyes closed and was humming a tune.

"You are very motherly, aren't you?" Tenebrae asked, standing before the white-haired Soul. "And what was that song?"

"Just a melody," Memory said, her eyes still closed. "One I hummed to Ashley every so often."

"I see." Tenebrae went to lean on the wall next to Memory. "And I guess it makes sense, since you both have been Partners since the Unions. You are lucky."

"Lucky?" Memory opened one eye to look at him. "I wouldn't say that. We've just been together for a long time."

"Exactly," Tenebrae said, lowering his head. "Wake me when the others arrive."

Memory looked out towards the street. "It won't be too long it seems. They're here."

Sure enough Ashley, Keval, Laci and Promise all approached. Each of the Wielders seemed happy and refreshed. They all had different degrees of smiles. Laci ran up to Tenebrae and started talking about the Souls she met. Tenebrae smiled and listened as the Alchemist talked.

Memory stood up and clapped her hands. "Okay everyone. I was able to get separate rooms for the guys and gals. I know Ashley and Keval are engaged, but still." She giggled.

The mentioned couple blushed deep red. They didn't break apart, but they did seem embarrassed. Laci giggled, while Tenebrae just rolled his eyes.

"Anyway, follow me," Memory said, walking into the building.

Laci went in first, following Memory. Ashley and Keval went in next. Tenebrae brought up the rear, but he looked off to the side. He blinked before going in.

Memory led the Protectors through the building. They went into an elevator and rode it up. It exited on a floor that seemed about halfway through the building. Memory exited and led them to a set of doors side by side. She pulled out a chain of keys and unlocked one of the doors.

"These will be your accommodations," Memory said, walking in. "The apartments are identical. Each apartment has a small kitchen, 2 rooms and a lounge area. There is a bathroom in between the rooms. There is a laundry facility on the ground level, which reminds me, we should get some more clothes and other items for you all."

"That would be a good idea," Ashley said. "We didn't exactly have time to pack. This was all so sudden."

Memory nodded and handed each of them a key. "The girls have this apartment, and the boys are next door. I strongly suggest you all sleep in your apartments. Visiting is fine, but overnight stay is frowned upon. I'll have someone come by to get you all so we can go shopping."

The Light Protectors nodded in confirmation. They watched as Memory left, waving them goodbye. When the door closed, the Wielders looked at each other.

"So…" Keval scratched the back of his head. "It's pretty late, but we have some time. Should we come up with a plan?"

"That would be a good idea," Ashley said. "But we still have no idea how we got here."

Laci sat on a couch and tapped her chin. "My lab isn't here, so neither are my notes. At best, we traveled through space or dimensions. And maybe KD was the catalyst!"

Tenebrae leaned on the wall and looked to be thinking. "We know that KD was forged when Twilight Town was transitioning between Realms. But I never thought it could accomplish something like that. My question is how the Medal brought out that power? We need to talk to the Keyblades to get an idea."

"You think KD would know how he did it?" Keval asked. "They seem to have all the memories leading up to the present, don't they?"

"That's a good idea," Ashley said. "If we ask him how he felt, it might work for us. Then we can see if any other Keys have abilities similar to the Medal."

"But the Medal wasn't supposed to teleport us," Laci sighed. "There has to be something I missed."

Tenebrae walked behind his girlfriend and hugged her. "We'll figure something out. I checked your calculations before, and they seemed fine at the time. And since this is your forte, I'm sure you perfected them."

Laci smiled into the hug. Keval and Ashley cooed, which caused Tenebrae to blush. He glared at his best friends but didn't move. Laci looked up at the Seeker and giggled at the antics.

"Come on bro," Keval said, giving Ashley a kiss on the cheek. "Let's head to our rooms and get some rest. We can worry about all the other stuff tomorrow."

"That is true," Tenebrae gave Laci a quick squeeze, before heading to the door with Keval. "Some sleep will help to sharpen our minds tomorrow. Good night girls."

"Night!" the two women said as the men left.

"And you, young miss," Ashley said, putting her hands on her hips. "I think it's a good idea you head to bed as well. Kingdom Hearts only knows how long you have bee up before this fiasco."

"Ok but hear me out," Laci had a nervous smile. "What if, I stay up so I can do more research? This way we get home faster."

"Not a chance. You are going to bed," Ashley said. She went up to Laci and pulled the Alchemist off the couch. "Like Tene said, sleep will help you have a sharper mind."

Laci didn't fight back as she was dragged. "But we need to find a way home. Sleep gets in the way."

Ashley giggled and rolled her eyes. "There will be four minds working on the problem. Maybe more, depending on which Keyblades may help us. We got this."

The girls entered on of the bedrooms. It was a simple room, with a full-sized bed and a dresser with a mirror. The walls were bare and ready for decorating. The closet across the door was empty.

Ashley took Laci to the bed and forced the Alchemist to lay down. Laci removed her goggles and set them on a nightstand close by. The Alchemist pouted before settling to sleep. Within a few minutes, she was out. Ashley patted Laci's head before leaving the room.

Ashley headed to the other room across the way. She noticed the shared bathroom in between. Her room was identical to the last. She removed what she needed so she could sleep comfortably. Ashley eased into bed, falling asleep not long after. -

Keval and Tenebrae entered the apartment they were given. It was identical to the girls' place. The two said their good nights, before going into the bedrooms.

Keval simply flopped on his bed. The mattress creaked a bit from the shift in weight. Keval was able to make himself comfortable. Within a few minutes, snoring could be heard.

Tenebrae was taking his time. He had removed his jacket and gloves, setting them to the side. He was sitting on his bed, fiddling with his goggles. His eyes darted around as he was deep in thought.

"Oh adorable you are," a voice snapped the Seeker out of his thoughts.

Tenebrae looked around his room. "Who's there?" He gripped his head as a pained feeling came.

Tenebrae got out of his bed quickly. He quickly and quietly left his room and apartment. Wherever the voice was coming from, it wasn't close by. He took the elevator down to the ground level and exited the building.

Outside, Tenebrae looked around. His eyes scanned the area as his senses were open.

"Show yourself," he called to nothing. "Unless you're too much of a coward."

"No cowards here," the same voice as earlier said. It was feminine, but also seductive. "I'm just glad you took my invitation. You smell so much like my last Wielder, that I had to say hello."

Tenebrae turned to the source of the voice, on guard. Behind him was a woman. She was dressed in a black dress that hugged he curves, with a silver necklace going between her chest. A silver choker matched a bracelet on her right wrist. Her lips were white, which he couldn't tell if it was from makeup or not, since it clashed with her dark skin. Her hair was long and silver with black roots. What caught the Seeker's eyes, were hers. Her eyes were white, making it look like she was blind. However, it was the Gazing Eye on her forehead that shocked the Seeker. There were white markings under each of her eyes.

Tenebrae tensed as he regarded the newcomer. "I smell like your old Master? Don't make me laugh."

"Oh it's no joke, dear," the woman said with a chuckle. In the blink of an eye, she was right in front of him. Her white eyes stared into his red. "You reek of Darkness, just like him. Even if you have Light to try and mask it."

Tenebrae had been unable to react. Whoever this woman was, she was more powerful then she let on. His senses and instincts were screaming at him to run. But his body didn't respond.

The woman leaned back and smiled like nothing happened. "I think it's only fair I introduce myself. I have a few names. The Gazing Eye, No Name. But I prefer if you call me Nona. I think it sounds much cuter."

"Tenebrae just gulped and nodded. "I'm Tenebrae…"

Nona giggled into her hand. "Even your name. Did your parents have no faith in you? No matter, I only came by to make myself known. Don't worry."

Nona turned and walked away. She waved behind her, leaving the Seeker by himself. Tenebrae released the breath he was holding.

He clutched his head as his thoughts spun. The Seeker quickly headed back inside. He quietly made it back to his room. Luckily, he could still hear Keval's snoring, which meant the Lightning User hadn't woken up. Tenebrae slipped into his room and hopped into his bed. He tried to fall asleep, hoping that the experience didn't keep him awake. -

And there we go with another chapter. This one is a bit more laid back, and we will be picking up from here.
And this time's Keyblade was created and Cosplayed by a good friend who goes by Midnight Pursona on TikTok. She is an amazing cosplayer and skilled makeup artist, so give her stuff a look.
Until next time, everyone!
