Epilogue
4 years after the war
Today was the big day. Not only was it Naruto's 21st birthday, but today was the day when Naruto was finally going to become the Hokage. Years upon years of vigorous training, giving his life to protect the entire planet has finally paid off and he was going to finally realize one of his most biggest dreams that he spent his entire life working for. However, he always had one dream that was much bigger than that, and that was getting Sakura to love him the way he loved her. To get her to be his. He made that happen 4 years ago on his birthday as well. Today however, was going to be the day when he was finally going to achieve his most ultimate dream. Today was the day he was going to ask Sakura to marry him and spend the rest of her life with him.
Sakura had been gone for over 3 months on a mission with Ino. So, Naruto had plenty of time to prepare what he was going to say, how he was going to propose to her but he just couldn't put anything together and it was driving him crazy… added to the fact that Naruto still couldn't find the perfect ring for her. He wished Ino was around, because Ino could have helped with that kind of thing, but he realized that he had to do it himself. He spent his entire life wanting Sakura, wanting to marry her and spend the rest of his life with her, and refused to mess this up. He had to make it perfect, because in his eyes a woman that's above perfection itself deserved perfection, even if perfection itself couldn't begin to compare to her.
His heart began to race faster and a blush crept up on his cheeks as he allowed himself to think about how he wanted to proposal to go. He imagined that after taking her on the most romantic dinner that she would ever have, he would then propose to her on the Hokage monument with fireworks lighting over them that spelt out, 'Would you marry me?' But the more he thought about it, the more common he realized that type of proposal was; and when it came to Sakura, the most special woman in his life, he refused to give her anything less than the best.
After an hour of thoughtful walking, Naruto finally made his way to a jewelry store. He didn't find anything that he deemed good enough to propose to Sakura with in the other shops, and he hoped with this shop being the last one in Konoha that it would be his saving grace before Sakura came back. He walked inside.
"Ohayogozaimasu Naruto-Sama." The shop owner greeted causing Naruto to scratch the back of his head bashfully.
"Please Yua-Nee-Chan, Naruto is fine." Naruto responded gratefully at the respect of the shop owner.
The shop owner giggled at Naruto's bashfulness before smiling warmly at him. "You really have matured a lot over the years munchkin. The Naruto I remembered would have relished in the fact of people calling him that."
Naruto chuckled as memories of the 12 year old Naruto flooded his thoughts. "Yeah. But, the village accepted me as one of their own. My reasons for becoming the Hokage became bigger than just getting respect."
Yua continued to smile at him, impressed by how mature he truly proved to be. "Konoha couldn't have been blessed with a better Hokage.." She then stood on her tippy-toes to ruffle his hair.
"This used to be a lot easier when you were 12." Yua said through laughs as it proved to be difficult to reach Naruto's hair with his now 6'3 frame, causing Naruto to chuckle.
"So, what's going on Naruto? I thought with today being the day of your inauguration, you would be out preparing a speech or something." She then noticed the heavy blush on Naruto's cheeks which caused her to nudge him in the side teasingly. "Oh.. you must want more advice on how to get that Sakura girl…"
Naruto's blush deepened at hearing the pink-haired love of his life's name. He began to scratch the back of his head bashfully. "Actually, I'm going to ask Sakura-Chan to marry me today and…"
Before Naruto could finish, Yua squealed in delight as she hugged him, genuinely proud of Naruto for finally achieving his biggest dream. "Oh my God! Congratulations Naruto! I always knew she would have come around! When did this happen?"
"We have been together for 4 years." Naruto said proudly as the thoughts of when they first became a couple entered his mind. The kiss that Sakura first gave to him still had his lips tingling 4 years later. He could still taste the sweetness of the strawberries on lips. He remembered when he opted not to brush his teeth the next morning because he didn't want to wash the kisses away and as a result he earned a swift punch to head from Sakura for even thinking of doing something so nasty. She then assured him that she would be kissing him for the rest of their lives so he would never have to resort to something as gross as that. There was never a day that Naruto didn't feel like the King of the universe knowing that he finally had Sakura by his side.
"Nani? 4 years?!" Yua then fixed him with an angry glare. "And why am I just knowing about this?" She questioned as she placed her hands on her hips, tapping her feet impatiently as she waited for his answer.
Naruto began to sweat profusely at Yua's intense glare. He didn't know why every woman he ever chose to associate himself with proved to be so scary. Naruto began to scratch under his chin, trying to think of the perfect answer without being subjected to her wrath. "Well you see Yua-Nee-Chan…" Naruto trailed off as Yua now crossed her arms over her chest.
"Uh-Huh.. I'm listening…" Yua said, her glare intensifying.
"You are one of my most precious people, like a older sister that I thank Kami for everyday. I just wanted to save the best for last." Naruto admitted truthfully, a genuine smile plastering his features.
Naruto gulped audibly as Yua continued to stare at him with an unconvinced look. But after a few seconds she smiled brightly at him. "Aww, that's sweet of you Naruto." Yua finally spoke before wrapping him in a quick but loving hug. "Now, let's find you the perfect ring."
Yua turned to go to her display of rings allowing Naruto release a huge breath that he didn't even realize her was holding in before following her over to the display. "Did you have a specific ring in mind?"
"Yeah. I want one that is the epitome of beauty, just like her." Naruto explained in a dreamy tone as Sakura's face appeared in his mind. "But so far, I haven't been able to find any."
Yua winked at him before offering him a reassuring smile. "Don't worry Naruto, I think I have just the ring that you need… follow me." Yua said as she walked into a room in the back of the shop with Naruto in tow.
Naruto's eyes widened as his jaw slightly parted when he saw the back room of he Yua's shop. In it were rings that were all hand crafted by Yua herself. Rings that she created via requests of customers who wanted something more than just a basic ring for their would be spouses. Naruto's amazement was broken when he heard Yua call out to him. "Come over here Naruto…"
Naruto walked over to her as she turned to him with a beaming smile on her face and a pink box with Cherry Blossoms on it in her hand. She watched as Naruto stared at the box in her hands and then up to her face, wide-eyed. "I always had faith in you Naruto, I always knew you would have eventually gotten Sakura to look your way, so I made this ring for you years ago, so when that day came for you to marry her; I would have it ready for you." Yua then giggled. "But I just didn't expect it to be so soon."
Naruto continued to stare at woman that he considered as his sister before tears started to fall from his eyes when she opened the box and revealed the ring to him. The stone was Pink, but had orange underneath the pink and whenever the light hit the stone just right, the orange and the pink would merge into each other.
"The pink signifies her and the orange signifies you. The orange is underneath because while she is a strong and amazing woman, you are her rock and foundation. The one who is always around to protect her and keep her happy. And when they merge together in the light, it signifies the undying love that you two have for each other. I call it Heaven and Earth." Yua finished with a warm smile as she looked at the boy that she considered to be a little brother.
Tears were now flowing uncontrollably in Naruto's eyes. He tried to wipe the tears from his eyes, but the more he did, the more tears came out. "You didn't have to do this, Yua-Nee-Chan." Naruto blubbered.
Yua refusing to take no for an answer, walked up to Naruto and gently grabbed his palm, placing the box in his hand and then closed his hand. "Take it Naruto, you worked too hard for this day." Yua said with a smile.
Before Yua could register what was going on, she felt Naruto envelope her in a hug. A hug that had all of the gratitude in the world. "Thank you Yua-Nee-Chan." Naruto sniffled.
Yua continued to smile at him, glad that she could bring more happiness to his day. "You can thank me by inviting me to the wedding."
Naruto wiped the tears from his eyes as he released the hug, a huge grin forming on his face. "I'm saving you a front row seat!"
Yua chuckled. "I'll hold you to that."
"You know I never go back on my word!" Naruto assured her excitedly.
Yua merely smiled at him before grabbing his hand and leading him back to the front the store. "Now, that that's settled. You shouldn't waste anymore time with me, you should be on your way to propose…" Yua trailed off as she watched Naruto then scratch his head bashfully.
"You do have an idea of how you're going to propose to her don't you?" Yua questioned, her eyebrow raising.
"Uhhh." Naruto dumbly responded causing Yua to place her hands on her hips, her eyes fixed angrily on him.
"This is something that you wanted for your entire life, and you didn't prepare for this day?!"
"It's not that…" Naruto spoke softly. "It's just that, Sakura-Chan is my most precious person, a goddess on earth. I don't want to give her just any old regular proposal, I want it to be special, amazing, one that no other woman could say that they ever had."
Yua's anger melted away as a warm smile replaced it. "Sakura is the luckiest woman in the world to have someone like you who loves her this deeply." Yua then crossed her arms over her chest.
Naruto flashed her a huge grin, but before he could say anything, he felt Yua pushing him out of the store. "Okay, enough talking munchkin, you have a proposal to prepare for."
"But—"Was all Naruto could get out before Yua cut him off.
"You're a creative guy. Just do it from your heart munchkin. I'm sure Sakura will love whatever you come up with." Yua assured him with a warm smile as she reached up and ruffled his hair again. "I have faith in you."
Naruto smiled warmly at her. "Thank you again, Yua Nee-Chan." Naruto responded gratefully, earning a nod from Yua before she closed the door to her shop.
Naruto's smile then melted away as he sighed, still racking his brain for an idea to how he could propose to his pink-haired flower. He decided not to use the rooftops to travel, but to walk through the village instead in hopes of something coming to his brain.
Naruto strolled through the village, his hands in pockets. Surprisngly, a lot of people wasn't crowing the streets of Konoha, despite today being Naruto's inauguration. He figured they were waiting until the time came around. He smiled to himself inwardly. He was glad the villagers couldn't see him in his current state. He just had to think of something, Sakura would be coming back in a couple of hours.
"The Naruto-Kun I know would always have a smile on his face. Especially on his inauguration day." A voice suddenly said to him, soft as honey.
Naruto looked up at the source of his voice, as a smile adorned his face. "Hinata?" Naruto questioned in surprise after not seeing her for a couple of years, earning a giggle from the purple-haired Byakugan user.
"Are you okay Naruto-Kun?"
Naruto put his hands behind his head as he flashed her a huge grin. "I'm fine Hinata!" Naruto exclaimed before opening his eyes and noticing Hinata holding the hand of a child causing his eyes to widen.
Naruto walked up closer to Hinata and the boy whose hand she was holding, a confused look on his face as he kneeled down and focused his eyes on the boy, noticing a lot of similarities to Kiba. "Who's this little guy?"
Hinata giggled once again at Naruto's confusion. "He's my son."
"Your son?" Naruto questioned in pure shock as he looked up at Hinata and back to the boy.
Hinata continued to smile at Naruto, nodding at him. "Yes."
A huge grin broke out on Naruto's face at the news. Naruto was extremely happy for her. "What's your name?" Naruto asked the boy softly.
"Inuzuka Itsuki." The boy shyly said, causing Naruto's eyes to widen again as his eyes focused on Hinata, noticing the ring on her finger.
"Inuzuka? Does that mean that you and Kiba are…" Naruto trailed off in complete surprise, still not wrapping his head around the whole thing.
Hinata giggled once again. "Yes, Kiba-Kun and I are married."
Naruto wrapped Hinata in a huge hug. Hinata wished this could have happened years ago. But at least she finally got to feel what it felt like to have Naruto this close to her. "I'm so happy for you Hinata!"
"Thank you, Naruto-Kun." Hinata said as she returned the hug.
Suddenly, Naruto felt someone grab his shirt, causing Naruto to forcibly let go of Hinata. "Hey, get off my wife! You had your chance!" The voice said through a laugh.
Naruto watched as Kiba walked over to Hinata put his arm around her shoulder, a smirk on his face. Naruto couldn't help but gush over how cute Kiba's family looked. "You guys look so cute together!" Naruto cooed.
Hinata giggled. "Thank you, Naruto-Kun. So what's new with you?"
Before Naruto could speak, Kiba joined in, his smirk never leaving his face. "I'll take a guess and say nothing since I'm sure he still didn't tell Sakura how he feels." Kiba said in a mocking tone.
Naruto flashed an angry glare at Kiba. "You're four years late dog breath! I'm planning on proposing to Sakura-Chan today!" Naruto declared triumphantly.
Hinata smiled warmly. "Oh my God Naruto-Kun." Hinata exclaimed, her voice still soft. "Congratulations. It was only a matter of time."
Naruto flashed her his trademark grin. "Thanks Hinata. I appreciate it."
Kiba however scoffed at Naruto's achievement. "About time, took you long enough." Naruto then flickered his sapphire eyes to Kiba again as he watched Kiba kneel down in front of his son.
"You remember when I spoke to you about cool people and losers?" Kiba gently asked his son earning a nod from him.
"Well, take a good look at what a cool person looks like…" Kiba said as he pointed to himself. "And what a loser looks like." Kiba finished with a smirk as he pointed at Naruto. "I used to kick his ass all the time."
"Kiba-Kun.." Hinata gasped softly as she flashed her husband an angry glare before looking at Naruto. "I'm sorry Naruto-Kun.." Hinata was cut off as Naruto spoke.
"You left out the part where I made you eat dirt after kicking you in the face." Naruto responded with a smirk of his own.
Hinata put her hand on Kiba's shoulder as Kiba got up and walked up to Naruto. "You cheated and you know it!"
"We can settle it again, right now!" Naruto declared with a smile on his face.
Kiba knew to himself that he wasn't a match for Naruto, especially with Naruto being above a Kage in power now. But, he refused to back down in front of his wife. "I've been waiting for another opportunity to hand your ass to you! And whenever you and Sakura has a weakling of a son, I'll have my son kick his ass as a bonus!"
"I bet when Sakura-Chan and I do have a son, he would kick you and your son's ass at the same time!" Naruto barked back causing Kiba to put his forehead to Naruto's.
"Oh yeah?" Kiba growled out.
"Yeah!" Naruto responded, his smile never leaving his face.
Having seen enough, Hinata went in between Naruto and her husband, both of them towering over her by a foot. "Okay, guys that's enough." Hinata spoke softly.
Naruto and Kiba both continued to glare at each other before both broke out in laughter and gave each other a fist bump. Hinata couldn't help but giggle at their antics.
Hinata then turned to face Naruto. "So, Naruto-Kun. What was bothering you earlier?"
Naruto began to blush as he scratched his head sheepishly. "I was trying to figure out how to propose to Sakura-Chan."
"Awww…" Hinata said before getting cut off by Kiba's sudden laughter.
"Why would you be worried about that?" Kiba questioned. "I guess you lost your edge."
Naruto scowled at Kiba. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"Number 1, Unpredictable Ninja my ass." Kiba teased, still laughing, causing Naruto to fully face Kiba.
"I have a Rasengan with your name on it, dog breath!"
Hinata sighed as she nudged Kiba softly with her elbow and fixed him with an angry glare before focusing on Naruto, a small smile gracing her face.
"I think what Kiba-Kun is trying to say is that you are a man who always does everything from his heart. A proposal to Sakura-San should be no different."
First it was Yua and now Hinata and Kiba who told him the same thing. Maybe he was trying too hard to prepare instead of just letting his heart do all of the work. Naruto simply smiled at Hinata and Kiba. "Thanks! I'll make this the best proposal ever! Tebayo!" Naruto declared, pumping his fist in the air as began to walk past them and down the streets of Konoha.
"This is the perfect gift for Naruto. He will be soo happy!" Ino cooed as she looked at Sakura's now pregnant stomach. "Who would have thought that you and Naruto would be having a baby."
Sakura blushed at the thought of her and Naruto now becoming a family. "He really has his ways of melting my heart in more ways than one. Before I knew it he swept me off my feet and I knew that I wanted to have a family with him." Sakura then sighed. "I just wish that he would finally propose to me."
Ino offered her friend a soft smile, placing her hand on her shoulders. "Come on Sakura, you know if it was up to Naruto he would have married you in the academy a long time ago." Ino said earning a giggle from Sakura.
"Knowing Naruto, he's probably preparing something huge and you know how unpredictable he could be, especially with this kind of thing. It took Shika four years before he proposed to me."
Sakura blushed again, a warm smile forming on her face at the range of possibilities that Naruto would come up with just to propose to her. Then she realized that Ino admitted that Shikamaru proposed to her. "Shikamaru proposed to you? When?"
Ino blushed. "He did it right before we left for the mission. I didn't know he could be so romantic."
Sakura smiled softly at Ino. "Aww, what did he do?"
"He made me do a scavenger hunt for the ring." Ino smiled at the memory. "So, if Shika could come up with something like that, imagine what the Number 1, Hyperactive, Unpredictable Ninja could come up with."
"Naruto doesn't have to do much. He knows I would love anything he comes up with." Sakura smiled warmly as a hyperactive Naruto along with his Shadow Clones ran through the village preparing everything for her popped in her mind. "I know whatever he decides to do when that time comes, I'll love it."
"So, you don't have anything specific in mind?" Ino questioned as she finished packing the last of her clothes into her bag.
Sakura blushed. "I mean yeah, this is a day I've dreamed of since I was a little girl. But, even if Naruto doesn't do what I had in mind, I'm sure it would still be the best proposal I could ever ask for."
Ino sat down on the bed, clasping her hands together as she placed them under her chin. She looked at Sakura with a small smile. "I think if anybody could make your perfect proposal come true, it would be Naruto. After all, this is the guy who told you the words straight of your dreams."
A warm feeling washed over Sakura's heart as a huge blush stained her cheeks. Remembering the memory of Naruto confessing to her. "He has a way of making things even better than I could have ever dreamed of."
Ino couldn't help but be extremely happy for best friend. She had never seen Sakura smile so serenely, so contently. And she knew all along that if anybody could have made Sakura happy for the rest of her life, it would be Naruto.
"So…" Ino spoke causing Sakura to snap out of her thoughts and focus her eyes on the blonde mindreader. "What is this perfect proposal that you dreamed of?"
Sakura smiled as she looked down to her knees.
"Well, I've always dreamed of Naruto proposing to me in front of the entire village while I stood by his side after he became the Hokage. Fireworks would spell out his proposal to me." Sakura blushed deeply at the thought as her emerald eyes brightened. "Naruto doesn't have to do more than that to make me happy, even though I'm sure he will go above and beyond for me."
"That's sweet forehead." Ino smiled as she helped Sakura stand up from the bed she was sitting on. "Naruto is becoming the Hokage today, so who knows? It might be your lucky day."
Sakura returned Ino's smile, but it quickly melted away as Sakura's eyes turned into white circles when she looked at the clock. "We only have an hour and a half to get back before Naruto's inauguration!" Sakura suddenly shrieked.
Ino rolled her eyes. "Calm down forehead, it's only an hour walk from here to the village."
Sakura immediately grabbed Ino's hand and dragged her in tow. "Enough chit-chat pig! Let's get going! I am not about to miss what Naruto and I fought so hard for! His most special day."
Ino offered her friend a smile, as she recognized Naruto's determination inside of her. Naruto really rubbed off on her. "I'm sure this would be his second most special day." Ino quickly countered, referring to the day that Naruto finally got Sakura to look his way. "Although I have a feeling that today will be just as good for him."
"What the hell are you talking about pig?" Sakura rolled her eyes, as she increased her speed with Ino still in tow.
Ino smirked, unknowingly to Sakura, Ino read Naruto's mind the day before they left for the mission. So, she already knew that Naruto was going to propose to Sakura on his inauguration day. "I just have a feeling that Mrs. Haruno-Uzumaki, oops. I mean Ms. Haruno will be extremely happy today."
Sakura blushed at Ino putting Naruto's last name behind hers. But that didn't stop Sakura from narrowing her eyes at Ino. "You know something don't you pig?!" Sakura questioned accusingly as she looked back at the platinum blonde who had an "innocent" look in her eyes.
"I honestly don't know what you're talking about forehead. Everyday should be extremely happy for you since you're with Naruto, ne Sakura-Chan?" Ino teased in her best Naruto impression, causing Sakura's blush to deepen.
"That won't work on me this time Ino-Pig! I know you're hiding something from me!" Sakura said dangerously. "Now spit it out!"
"You're feeling very brave today, aren't you forehead? Talking to me like that." Ino chuckled which caused Sakura to smile confidently. "Once again, I have no idea what you're talking about."
"Well, you better figure it out by the time we get to the village or I swear to Kami I will beat you and Naruto into the ground." Sakura threatened.
Sakura then looked back and flashed Ino a threatening smile. "Difference is, I always make sure Naruto feels better, not so much for you."
"Please Sakura. I would totally kick your ass if you didn't have my God kid in your stomach." Ino smirked, which earned a chuckle from Sakura. "But, don't worry forehead, it's nothing bad. You will see for yourself."
Sakura rolled her eyes at Ino's answer. "Whatever pig."
Still racking his brain for answers, Naruto decided to stop by Ichiraku's, hoping that eating his favorite food might help him come up with something. He walked into Ichiraku's and sat down as Tuechi came to immediately speak to him as he set a bowl of ramen in front of him.
"I can't believe that today is the day I finally get to watch my favorite customer become a man!" Tuechi said in sadness. "I must really be getting old!"
"But, the older you get, the better your ramen tastes!" Naruto praised as he slurped a wad of noodles off of his chopsticks.
Tuechi laughed at Naruto's compliment as he placed another bowl of ramen in front of him. "I'm glad you think so." Tuechi then leaned towards Naruto and whispered to him. "Because for the rest of the day, your ramen is on the house."
Naruto's eyes widened as he almost chocked on the wad of ramen in mouth. "F-free ramen… All-all-all day?" Naruto stuttered out, his mouth salivating at the thought.
Tuechi looked around at the rest of the customers before motioning for Naruto not to be so loud. "Shhh! Not so loud!"
Naruto pouted. "You'll make me miss my inauguration if that's the case!" Naruto exclaimed, earning laughter from Tuechi as he walked away to help other customers.
"You're so obsessed with the stuff that you're willing to miss your inauguration for it?" A familiar voice behind Naruto said, causing Naruto to turn to meet the eyes of Sasuke who has a smirk on his face. "I knew I was a better man for the job."
Naruto smirked. "I can kick your ass again and prove to you why I'll always be the better Hokage."
"Hmph. Again? I can't even remember the first time without your face being under my foot." Sasuke retorted as he leaned in closer to Naruto, his smirk never leaving his face.
"Was that before or after I had you begging me for mercy?" Naruto said as he leaned in closer to Sasuke with a confident smile.
Suddenly, Naruto felt someone viciously yank his collar, pulling him away from Sasuke. "Hey! Go look elsewhere and stop trying to seduce my Sasuke!" The voice shrieked, causing the customers of Ichiraku's to leave in fear for their lives. "He isn't interested in men anyways!"
"Whaaaa?" Naruto screamed in pure shock as he turned to Karin, the source of the voice, his eyes closed in anger. "I like women lady!" Naruto hollered.
"Who in the hell do you think you're raising your voice at?!" Karin screamed back as she got in Naruto's face.
"I don't see anybody else around, do you Sasuke?!" Naruto barked back.
Tuechi walked over to Naruto and Karin and attempted to stop the argument. "Naruto? Young lady? Can you please calm down, you're scaring my customers away." Tuechi calmly requested, his arms up defensively.
"Stay out of this old man!" Karin yelled at Tuechi causing him to gasp in appalment as he walked to the back of his shop.
"Hey! Don't talk to him like that!" Naruto screamed at her.
"What are you gonna do about it?!
"I'll kick the teme's ass!" Naruto replied as he pointed his thumb in Sasuke's direction.
"Are you just gonna let him talk to me like this, Sasuke?!" Karin now screamed at Sasuke as she placed her hands on her hips.
"The teme has no choice!" Naruto answered, causing Karin to now pounce at him.
'They really are related.' Sasuke deadpanned as they both got louder with each word. He then decided to put an end to it. "Naruto…" Sasuke called out to him calmly.
"What?!" Naruto said in a scowl as he was holding Karin back from scratching his face off.
"Watch your mouth when it comes to my wife, before I have to kick YOUR ass." Sasuke said with a smirk on his face.
"W-Wife?" Naruto suddenly choked out as he ignored Sasuke's taunt and noticed the ring on Sasuke's finger. Naruto then turned around back to Karin, his eyes widening even more at the fact that he was married to Karin when he noticed the ring on her finger.
"Y-you?" Naruto pointed to Sasuke. "And you?" Naruto then pointed to Karin. "Got married before me?"
Karin walked over to Sasuke and sat in his lap, both glaring at Naruto with an insulted look. "What's that supposed to mean?" Karin and Sasuke growled out dangerously.
"Nothing!" Naruto quickly relented. "It's just, it seems everyone is getting married before me!"
Sasuke chuckled. "Apparently, not everyone is afraid to tell the woman they love how they feel like you are."
Naruto snickered at Sasuke's comment as he sat in the seat next to Sasuke. But moved a seat over when Karin glared at him threateningly for sitting too close to her Sasuke.
"W-why is she still looking at me like that? I already established that I like girls!"
Sasuke then looked around Karin and covered his mouth, whispering to Naruto. "Don't worry about her, she's jealous of anyone that comes too close to me."
Naruto nodded in understanding before Karin glared angrily at both Naruto and Sasuke, her eyes finally focusing on Sasuke. "What did you just say?!"
Sasuke then chuckled nervously. "I was only telling him how beautiful I thought that you were."
"Thought?!"
"Think!" Sasuke quickly corrected. "How beautiful I think that you are!"
Karin then smiled warmly at him before placing a kiss on his cheek. "That's what I thought you said."
Karin now in a good mood looked at Naruto who feared what he just witnessed and offered Naruto a small smile. "So, Naruto…"
"Huh?" Naruto nervously answered.
"Why haven't you told this girl how you feel?" Karin questioned.
"Hmph." Sasuke smirked. "I want to hear this."
Naruto was a little stumped at how Karin went from scary to nice in a blink of an eye, but he soon blushed at the question. Moreso his answer.
"I did tell Sakura-Chan how I feel. And we have been together for four years now!" Naruto declared proudly.
Sasuke began to clap sarcastically. "Congratulations." He muttered unenthusiastically. "Took you long enough…" Sasuke trailed off and then spoke again. "But if that's the case, what's stopping you from marrying her? You have been chasing her all your life..."
"I'm actually planning on proposing to her today…" Naruto replied, his blush deepening at the thought.
"Aww!" Karin squealed out with a smile.
Sasuke quirked his eyebrow. "But?"
"But, I can't figure out how to propose to her."
Sasuke chuckled. "You're the last person I expected to hear that from."
Naruto's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "What do you mean?"
"You're a spontaneous guy. Planning isn't necessary when it comes to you. You're one who lives for this kind of thing." Sasuke merely answered as if it was the most obvious thing in the world causing Naruto to tilt his head in confusion at his answer.
Karin smiled at Naruto, touched at how he wants to make everything perfect for Sakura. "Just do it from your heart. From what Sasuke told me about you, your proposal will be a lot sweeter if you don't think about it too much."
Naruto returned Karin's smile as he stood up and placed his arms behind his head. "Thanks!" Naruto then smiled impishly at Sasuke.
Sasuke looked at Naruto, clearly getting creeped out. "Why are you staring at me like that dobe?"
"I have to know…" Naruto trailed. "How did you propose to her teme?" Naruto HAD to hear this.
"He didn't…" Karin answered with a smile.
"Huh?" Naruto replied dumbly.
"I proposed to him." Karin finally admitted as both Sasuke and Karin blushed.
Naruto paused for a couple of seconds, taking in Karin's answer, but realized that that was exactly how it had to have gone down, knowing Sasuke.
"Oh." Naruto mumbled before grinning deviously at Sasuke, finding another opportunity to tease Sasuke. "Now I see why she wears the pants in the marriage."
"Hey!" Karin exclaimed, her eyebrows furrowing in anger. Sasuke however fanned his hand at her, motioning for her to calm down.
"I'll take care of this Karin."
Sasuke got up from his seat, his hands in his pockets as he approached Naruto. "What do you mean by that dobe?"
"You're afraid of your own wife and you wanted to be The Hokage?" Naruto laughed as he said it in a low tone so Karin couldn't hear.
Sasuke smirked. "If you want to make it to your inauguration alive, I suggest you leave now before I tell Sakura that you've been teaching the kids at the academy perverted jutsus."
All of the blood in Naruto's face drained. "Sakura-Chan would kill me if you tell her that! Besides, I didn't even finish my ramen!"
"Well, I guess it's time for you to make a choice. The ramen? Or Sakura beating you within an inch of your life, healing you and doing it all over again. I'll give you 5 seconds to make a decision… starting now."
"But—"
"3…" Sasuke counted down as Naruto gulped audibly.
"2…"
Without hesitation, Naruto ran off at a blinding speed on the rooftops of the building. Sasuke smirking at his handiwork, went back to his seat, allowing Karin to sit on his lap again.
Karin giggled as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "What did you tell him?"
"That I'll get Sakura to beat him within an inch of his life for teaching kids at the academy perverted jutsus."
"Did he really do that?"
"I doubt it. But once Sakura hears that, all bets are off. She'll kick his ass and then kiss him later." Sasuke smirked at the thought.
Karin giggled before cupping Sasuke's cheek. "You know….out of all that nonsense that he was spouting off, he did say one thing that was true."
Sasuke quirked his eyebrow. "What's that?"
"I do wear the pants in this marriage!" Karin declared boastfully before kissing him on the cheek and smiling at him.
Sasuke rolled his eyes and stared at his smiling wife for a couple of seconds before finally smiling back.
"You see?" I told you forehead! We're back in the village with 15 minutes to spare until the inauguration!" Ino declared boastfully as Sakura pulled Ino in the opposite of Naruto's inauguration.
"Uhh, Sakura? The inauguration is that way!" Ino pointed in the direction of the Hokage Tower.
"I know that pig!" Sakura responded. "But my house is that way and I'm taking a shower before Naruto sees me again."
"Oh come on forehead! You know Naruto loves and takes you for how you are, even if you are a little sweaty."
"He hasn't seen me in three months! There's no way I'm going to let him see me like this!"
"Which means the sooner he could see you, the better… besides, I'm pretty sure Naruto would much rather if you and him took a shower together after not seeing you for so long anyways." Ino replied with a lecherous smile as she nudged Sakura gently in the side causing Sakura to blush. Truth be told, that did sound nice but she refused to let Naruto see her like this.
Sakura folded her arms in defiance. "Nope. Not falling for it today pig!" Sakura then faced the opposite direction. "It will take me 10 minutes to freshen myself up and 5 minutes to get there."
"Umm.. more like 7 minutes. We've been talking to each other for over 8 minutes now forehead." Ino explained as she chuckled at Sakura's shock.
"What?!" Sakura shrieked, pointing an accusatory finger at the platinum blonde. "You did this on purpose, didn't you?!"
"I didn't really think about it, but it sure worked in my favor didn't it?" Ino laughed nervously before throwing her hands up in defense in front of a now seething Sakura. Seems the pregnancy made her even more scary.
"Are you forgetting who you're in a relationship with forehead?" Ino questioned, placing her hands on her hips as Sakura visibly calmed down a little.
"How can I ever forget?" Sakura said in a dreamy tone as a grinning Naruto popped up in mind. "But what does that have to do with me wanting to take a shower before seeing him?"
"Because, this is Naruto we're talking about. The man who is the happiest guy in the world with just fact of knowing that he has the honor of being in the same proximity of his Sakura-Chan." Ino smiled inwardly when she noticed her words finally getting through to Sakura. "And I know you don't want to be late to thing that you worked so hard to help him achieve, right?"
Sakura stared warily at Ino for a couple of seconds before sighing through a smile. "I can't believe I'm letting you talk me into be a pig like you."
Ino laughed, grabbing Sakura and pulling her in tow. "Trust me forehead, I'm doing you a favor." Ino stated, earning a confused look from Sakura.
"What are you talking about Ino-Pig?"
Ino smiled deviously at Sakura as they both made their way towards the inauguration. "I have a feeling that the shower you want to take so badly will be extremely magical after the inauguration."
Cheers roared through the entire village as the future Hokage of the village stood on the Hokage Tower with a smile on his face. The day he worked so hard for was finally here, but it didn't feel right now. He made a promise to Sakura that when this day came, he wouldn't accept the hat unless she was by her side, and Sakura held him to that.
Naruto's sapphire eyes scanned the entire crowd, searching for a speck of pink but he didn't see the apple of eye in the crowd anywhere. Naruto frowned as his shoulders slumped ever so slightly so any normal bystander wouldn't be able to read his body language, but Kakashi who was standing behind him did, his eye scrunching in concern as he walked up to Naruto.
Following Naruto's eyes, Kakashi looked to the crowd and quickly realized why Naruto looked so downtrodden. Sakura was absent from the crowd and Kakashi knew Naruto wanted her of all people to be here for him. In an attempt to alleviate Naruto's thoughts, Kakashi placed his hand on Naruto's shoulder.
"You alright Naruto?"
Naruto forced a smile on his face as he turned to look at Kakashi. "I'm fine Kakashi-Sensei."
Noticing the fake smile, Kakashi offered a close eyed smile to Naruto. "Don't worry Naruto, she'll be here. She wouldn't miss this moment for the world."
A genuine smile replaced the fake smile Naruto had. "Thanks Kakashi-Sensei, I know she will… it's just…"
"Just what?"
"I can't start the inauguration without Sakura-Chan." Naruto replied in a soft tone. "I refuse to start without her."
"But Naruto, you've had the crowd waiting for over 10 minutes already. It wouldn't be a good look as the Hokage if you keep them waiting."
"Then let them wait!" Naruto huffed as he crossed his arms defiantly over his chest. "Sakura-Chan always supported me, she was always by my side, fighting for my dream with me. I refuse to start without her!"
Kakashi's eyes widened slightly before he offered Naruto a closed-eye smile at Naruto's boldness. "I'm glad you haven't changed Naruto, you'll need that stubbornness for this job."
"Nii-Chan! Nii-Chan!" A voice suddenly called out to Naruto, cutting Kakashi's thoughts short.
Naruto beamed. "Yo Konohamaru! Did you set them up for me?"
"Hai! Nii-Chan! The fireworks are in place!"
Kakashi raised his eyebrow in confusion. "Why do you need Fireworks?"
Naruto then turned and grinned at Kakashi, his hands behind his head. "Good thing you asked Kakashi-Sensei because I need your help!" Naruto exclaimed as he began to whisper instructions in Kakashi's ear. "So, as soon as I kneel down to propose, you will use your fireball jutsu and…"
Kakashi nodded in agreement when Naruto finished relaying his plan to him. "Sure, I can do that for you."
Naruto hugged Kakashi. "Thank you Kakashi-Sensei!"
Kakashi awkwardly patted Naruto's back due to the Naruto catching him by surprise with the hug. "No problem."
"Still wearing your heart on your sleeve I see, eh gaki?" A powerful voice chuckled.
Turning in the direction of the voice, Naruto grinned. "What's up Baa-Chan?"
Tsunade walked up to Naruto and smiled at grown up Naruto appeared to be now. She noted how she had to now look up to look him the eyes. "I came to congratulate you in advance for finally making it to this day."
"Why?" Naruto questioned. "Aren't you staying?"
Tsunade chuckled. "No. I'm afraid not."
"But, I finally get to put on the hat and you won't be around to see it?" Naruto whined.
"Sometimes I wonder if the only reason why you wanted to become the Hokage is because you wanted to wear that hat." Tsuande smirked.
Naruto chuckled. "Of course not! I want to be The Hokage so I could always try my best to keep peace in the village and so I could protect everyone I care about!"
"Konoha is lucky to have someone like you as the one will look over the village."
"Thanks Baa-Chan! And I won't make this inauguration long! I'll just say a few words and then accept the position. It will take 10 minutes max!" Naruto begged.
Tsunade could see the hopeful look in his eyes. She could now understand why Sakura always told her that Naruto is irresistible when he looks at you that way. She sighed. "Alright Gaki, but—"
Before Tsuande could finish her sentence, Naruto wrapped her in a tight hug. "Thank you Baa-Chan!"
Tsunade smiled warmly at the boy that she looked at like a son. She was glad Naruto didn't change. After a couple of seconds, she returned the hug. "Sake later. Drinks on you."
Naruto released the hug and then looked at Kakashi-Sensei. "So Baa-Chan was going to ditch my inauguration to go drink sake. I knew it! Good thing I'm making a rule to ban the stuff tomorrow." Naruto teased as he glanced at Tsunade from the side of his eye.
Kakashi backed away slightly with a nervous look in his eye when he noticed the sudden rage in Tsunade's eyes.
"I was not ditching your inauguration to go drink Sake!" Tsunade screamed as she punched Naruto in the head, sending him to the ground with a lump on his head. "But that does sound like a good idea right about now!"
"I'm the Hokage now!" Naruto weakly declared. "And you will not-"
WHAM!
"You're not wearing the hat yet brat." Tsunade chuckled.
"I am sooo using Anbu on her, first order!" Naruto grumbled to himself as he watched Tsunade make her way to the exit.
Kakashi walked over to Naruto and helped him up. "Naruto, you have to give your speech. The crowd is starting to get a little restless."
Naruto scanned the crowd again and frowned when he didn't see Sakura. "No Sakura-Chan. No speech!"
Kakashi sighed, knowing exactly how deep rooted Naruto's love for Sakura is. "I'm sure Sakura will understand Naruto. She wouldn't want you to miss out on becoming the Hokage either, would she?"
Naruto sighed as he looked down to the ground in sadness. "No. But-" Naruto trailed off as he looked back at the crowd and noticed Sakura making her way to the front of the crowd.
Grinning like an idiot, Naruto turned to Kakashi. "Kakashi-Sensei, try to entertain them for a couple of minutes, I'll be right back!"
"Entertain them?!" Kakashi exclaimed as Naruto jumped off of the tower.
Kakashi sighed before walking over to the podium. Naruto owed him big time for this. He decided that maybe a few jokes would keep the crowd at bay until Naruto came back up.
Kakashi then cleared his throat gaining the attention of the restless crowd. "Naruto is a little occupied right now, so I will be filling in for a couple of minutes."
Kakashi expected a couple of claps, but none came. 'I was just their Hokage yesterday!" Kakashi thought in anger before beginning to tell his joke.
"Okay! What do you call a ninja that…"
"Boooooo!" The crowd began to boo Kakashi instantly before he could tell his joke. "Get off the podium!"
A cup of ramen came flying at Kakashi and barely missed him. "Who threw that?!"
"Sorry babe!" Kakashi's wife, Anko apologized causing Kakashi to look at her with comical shock. "But that joke was going nowhere fast!"
Anko then poofed next to Kakashi and dragged the now sad Kakashi from the podium. "Come on babe, get off the podium." Anko then smiled suggestively at him. "I know something better we could be doing with our time."
Kakashi blushed as Anko led him to the exit on top of the tower.
Naruto landed in front of Sakura. A huge blush colored his cheeks as she smiled brilliantly at him and gently grabbed his hand. "Did you miss me Naruto?"
"More than you can ever imagine, Sakura-Chan." Naruto responded without hesitation as he looked her lovingly in her eyes and leaned down to kiss her but was interrupted by Ino.
"Awww! You two lovebirds can kiss later." Ino said as she grabbed Naruto's hands and started to drag him away, causing Sakura to begin to seethe.
"What do you think you're doing pig?!"
"No need to get jealous forehead!" Ino quickly quelled the situation causing Sakura to blush. "I just need to borrow him for a few minutes."
Sakura crossed her arms in defiance. "Yeah, yeah, yeah! Make it quick!" Sakura huffed, still feeling hot from the moment Naruto and her just shared.
Finally getting Naruto out of earshot of Sakura, Ino looked up at Naruto who couldn't take his eyes off Sakura.
"She gets more beautiful by the day." Naruto dreamily admitted.
Ino rolled her eyes. "Naruto, you get to spend the rest of your life with her. I want to talk to you."
Ignoring Ino, Naruto continued to admire Sakura's beauty and then his eyes focused on her stomach, causing him to smile. "Wow, looks like Sakura-Chan's been eating enough ramen for the both of us, not that I mind. I think it's extremely.."
Ino facepalmed, cutting Naruto off. "She's pregnant you idiot!" Ino whispered.
Naruto whirled around to face Ino, his eyes widened. "What did you say?"
"Sa-Ku-Ra, your Sakura-Chan is pregnant!" Ino reiterated slowly.
Naruto's jaw dropped, his eyes widening to an unbelievable size. "So, Sakura-Chan is carrying my…"
"Yes! She's carrying your baby!" Ino sighed. "I swear you've gotten dumber as the years went by."
Ino watched as Naruto's face went from one of complete shock to the happiest smile she ever saw.
"YATTA!" Naruto exclaimed as he turned on his heels to run to his soon to be wife but was stopped when Ino grabbed his hands.
"Wait a minute Naruto! I still have to talk to you!" Ino said as she got Naruto's attention.
"What's up Ino?" Naruto questioned with genuine curiosity, but couldn't stop looking back at Sakura.
"Look back again and I'll make any beating that Sakura has ever given to you seem like child's play." Ino threatened causing Naruto to finally give her his undivided attention, a nervous smile on his face
Ino smiled. "I know you're planning on proposing to Sakura today."
Naruto's eyes turned into white circles. "H-h-how?"
Ino smiled mischievously at him as she pointed to her temple.
"You didn't tell Sakura-Chan did you?" Naruto asked, looking around to see if anybody was eavesdropping.
Ino crossed her arms. "Of course not." Ino replied causing Naruto to sigh in relief.
"I wanted to help you come up with the perfect proposal for Sakura."
Naruto grinned. "I already have that covered!"
Ino quirked an eyebrow. "Really?" Ino questioned, earning a swift nod from Naruto. "What did you come up with?"
"I was planning on proposing to her after my speech on the Hokage Tower in front of the village, then I'll have fireworks spell out Will You Marry Me in the sky. And the rest, I'll just wing it!" Naruto explained proudly as he put his hands behind his head.
Ino's eyes widened quickly enough that Naruto didn't catch it. That look of shock soon turned into a warm smile. Nothing more had to be said, in Ino's eyes Naruto was definitely the perfect man for Sakura. He was going to make Sakura's fairytale come true again.
"That's really sweet Naruto." Ino admitted, lightly punching him on the arm. "You better keep my best friend happy."
"Sakura-Chan's happiness is my top priority!" Naruto yelled back to Ino as he ran to Sakura.
Sakura blushed as Naruto made his way in front of her, a warm, loving smile on his face. He placed his hand on her cheek and on instinct she melted into his touch, her eyes closed in contentment. Her eyes then opened when she felt Naruto gently place his hand on her stomach.
"Sakura-Chan… you have a little me inside of you?"
Sakura giggled at the happy gleam in Naruto's eyes. "I have a little us inside of me." Sakura corrected.
"YATTA!"
Suddenly, she let out a small "eep" when Naruto hoisted her in the air and started to spin in circles with a huge smile on his face. "Put me down Naruto!" Sakura said through laughs.
Doing as he was told, he placed Sakura on the ground and he started to kiss her all over. "Naruto!" Sakura said through giggles. "I'm sweaty!"
Naruto looked her in the eye, his eyes showing nothing but love for her as he gently cupped her cheek with a warm smile on his face. "So am I." He countered in a gruff tone. "Now, how about we pick up where we left off, ne Sakura-Chan?"
Sakura blushed heavily as Naruto reached down and began to passionately kiss her. She wrapped her arms around his neck as he pulled her in closer, earning a lot of "ewws" from nearby kids, but a lot of "awws" from the nearby girls.
Naruto released the kiss and looked at Sakura who had the tip of her finger between her teeth as she looked away from Naruto shyly. "You've gotten even better at that." Sakura softly smiled.
"Being away from you for three months will do that to me Sakura-Chan." Naruto replied softly before putting his arm around Sakura's shoulders and turning to face where Kiba was standing.
"Hey Kiba!" Naruto called out to him causing Kiba to look at him.
"What?!" Kiba smirked.
Naruto then pointed to Sakura's stomach. "You and your son better fear for your lives, because with Sakura-Chan's smarts and my power! Your kid is dead meat! And that goes for you as well TEME!"
WHAM!
"Owww! Saaakkkuuurrrraaa-Chhhaaaannn!" Naruto whined as he held the top of his head.
"You will not subject our child to violence!" Sakura scolded.
"B-but! Dog breath said that his kid would kick our kid's ass!"
Sakura's eyes turned into white circles. "He said what?!" Sakura exclaimed.
"That his kid would kick our kid's ass! We can't let him get away with that!"
Sakura then turned her head to look at Kiba with a evil smile. "Okay, Naruto, I guess I can make an exception for our first child. I'll make sure he gains my strength."
Naruto grinned impishly as he pointed to the now nervous Kiba. "Yeah! You hear that Kiba? When our kid gains Sakura-Chan's monstrous strength, your kid is dead meat!"
WHAM!
"Owww! What was that for Sakura-Chan?"
"I NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT MONSTROUS STRENGTH! I SAID STRENGTH!" Sakura growled.
"Oi! Gaki!" Tsunade suddenly called out to him. "Get your ass up there right now and start your speech before I assist Sakura in kicking your ass!"
Naruto immediately got up, laughing awkwardly at Tsunade's threat. He couldn't figure out why all women in Konoha were so scary. Even Hinata showed shades of it earlier that day with Kiba. Naruto then decided to use the opportunity to lift Sakura up bridal style and took her on the tower with him.
"Naruto! What are you doing?" Sakura squealed at the sudden movement.
"I made a promise that you would be by my side when I became the Hokage, and I meant it."
Sakura smiled warmly at him. "Baka." She mumbled quietly.
Placing her down next to him on the podium. He gently kissed her on the forehead before immediately starting his speech.
"I will admit! I was never too good at speeches! But a couple of friends reminded me that I'm one who always does things from the heart! So here goes" Naruto then turned to look at Sakura who was looking at Naruto with a confident smile.
"At first, I wanted to become the Hokage so everyone who used to make fun of me and treated me bad would respect me. But then, you guys accepted me! You went past the hatred and finally accepted me as one of the village and I decided that I wanted to offer the village my protection! To bring peace was the new goal! To protect my most precious people was an even bigger goal." Naruto then looked at Sakura with a warm smile as she returned his smile.
"But to be honest! I couldn't have made it this far without the most amazing woman in the universe at my side." Naruto then gently entangled his hand with Sakura's as he continued.
"You see, without Sakura-Chan always supporting me, always doing whatever it took to make sure that my dream stayed alive. I probably wouldn't have reached this far. I couldn't have been the Hokage without Sakura-Chan always keeping me line, always making sure I was okay. She always took care of me, and she always made it a priority to try to make sure I was safe!"
Sakura looked at Naruto with a soft smile as tears started to flow from her eyes, she squeezed his hand gently as he continued to speak.
"She's the most amazing woman on the planet. Not a day goes by where I don't fall deeper in love wit her."
"What the hell is he doing?" Shikamaru whispered to a now gushing Ino.
"Awww!" Ino squealed. "He's about to do it!"
Shikamaru instantly regretted his question, rolling his eyes before sighing. "I'm sure I most likely don't want to know anymore."
"Oh shut up and take notes Shika!" Ino commanded to her future husband as she latched on to him. "Because tonight you're going to surprise me with something romantic!"
Shikamaru sighed, but couldn't help but smile. "I'll see what I can do Ino."
"I want to wake up to that beautiful smile every morning, those beautiful green eyes, I want to hear her scold me when I do something stupid, I love her feistiness, how determined she is, how gentle and caring she is, how she could go from sweet to angry and then back to sweet in mere seconds, I like when she calls me baka… basically. I love everything about her and that's why I have a question for her."
Flurries of leaves blew around them as Naruto kneeled in front of a gasping Sakura who now had both her hands covering her mouth as tears flowed freely from her eyes.
Naruto smiled warmly at her as a Shadow Clone dropped from the sky and dropped the box with the ring in his hand. Kakashi then used his fire ball jutsu to light the fireworks.
Sakura's eyes widened when she saw the fireworks launch into the sky to reveal the question.
'Will you marry me?'
Sakura turned back to Naruto, a fresh set of tears flowing from her eyes and she helped him to his feet and kissed him passionately. She then nodded.
"Yes." She whispered through a teary smile.
Naruto then flashed her his foxy grin as tears of his own started to flow from his eyes. "YATTA! I get to spend the rest of my life with Sakura-Chan!"
The whole crowd began to cheer for Naruto, not only as a Hokage but now being a future husband and father.
"Hmph! And he said he needed help." Sasuke said with a smirk.
"Awww!" Karin squealed as she latched on to Sasuke. "It almost makes me want to redo our proposal, but this time with you being the one to do it! Can we?"
"No." Sasuke simply replied with a smile on his face, earning giggles from Karin.
Naruto then turned to her and placed the ring on her finger and smiled at the child like gleam in Sakura's eyes. "It's beautiful Naruto!"
"I knew that ring would have something in common with you." Naruto replied with a smile earning a blush from Sakura.
Naruto then pulled Sakura in close to him and this time he initiated the kiss, causing Sakura to swoon. He then whispered against her lips. "You've always kept me happy Sakura-Chan. Now, I will spend the rest of my life giving you a taste of the happiness you've always given to me."
Sakura hugged him. "I think it's the other way around baka." She then placed her head on his chest.
"Ughh. You're really sweaty." Sakura said with mock disgust earning a huge grin from Naruto.
"We're both sweaty Sakura-Chan." Naruto chimed in with a suggestive look and equally suggestive smile.
Sakura rolled her eyes with a smile as she already knew what Naruto was getting at. "Okay, and what do you suggest we do about that Naruto?"
"We could take a shower together!" Naruto blurted out with a blush before starting to laugh awkwardly. "You know, as a way to celebrate—"
Sakura cut Naruto off by placing her fingers to his lips. "Okay." Sakura said with a small blush.
Sakura then looked down to Ino, who was smiling at her. "Do you still hate me for earlier?" Ino yelled out to her.
Sakura retuned Ino's smile. "I guess your strategies makes sense… sometimes Ino-Pig!" Sakura yelled back to her as Naruto hoisted her into his arms. Sakura could easily move by herself, but it felt better being in Naruto's arms and she could get used to it.
"Have fun!" Ino yelled out to Sakura as Naruto started to make his way across the rooftops.
Naruto looked at his fiancé and soon to be wife who was looking into his eyes with a look of love. He was the man who always made her dreams come true. "How did you know?"
"How did I know what Sakura-Chan?"
"How did you know the proposal straight from my dreams?" Sakura smiled.
"I just did it from my heart. My heart basically told me what your heart wanted." Naruto grinned.
Sakura cupped his cheeks gently. "You are such a baka… but you know what?"
"What?"
Sakura reached up and placed a gentle kiss on his lips. "But you're my baka, and I wouldn't have it any other way."
"That's ditto for me! Well not the baka part but the-" Naruto was cut off when Sakura placed her finger to his lips again.
"Just shut up and kiss me. I can't wait until we get into the shower." Sakura demanded with a blush.
Naruto beamed. "You don't have to tell me twice Sakura-Chan!"
Naruto and Sakura had their son 6 months later, and got married, beginning a new journey together.
