Final part: Avatars vs Amon
Jak and Korra quickly headed to the pro bending arena. They went through the back from their first trip to the arena. When they reached the main area there was a large crowd of people standing on where the game used to be played and in front of them was a stage.
The two of them walked next to the railing till they were close to the stage. Then after a few moments Amon, the man wielding electric batons and other equalists stood on stage, "Welcome everyone," Amon said walking over to the microphone.
"Long ago a fire bender killed my family and left my face scarred, that's when my mission to equality began," said Amon.
"That's a lie," Korra said getting everyone's attention as she and Jak took off their masks and used their fire bending to jump onto the stage, "Amon is water bender and a blood bender, hes councilman Tarloks brother," she said making people in the crowd look surprised.
"What are they talking about?" The man wielding electric batons asked.
"The two of them are lying, one last try to defeat me," said Amon.
"Were telling the truth, the spirits didn't give you the power to take away someone's bending, you use blood bending and your Yakones son," said Jak.
"Is there even a scar under that mask," said Korra looking annoyed.
Amon pulled down his hood, "Very well I will show you my face," he said before removing his mask, revealing a large red mark that went across his face.
"No that cant be right," Korra said looking shocked.
"You could have put that there before you put the mask on," Jak said looking annoyed as he stood ready to fight.
Amon looked at the crowd, "This is what a fire bender did to my face, the avatars are just making up lies to try and stop our mission," he said before putting his mask back on, "Perhaps the two of you need a reminder of my power," he said pointing at a platform that had come up, Tenzin, Jinora, Ikki and Meelo were chained to posts.
"What," Jak said looking surprised.
"No, they got away," Korra said.
"Today I read the world of airbenders forever," said Amon.
"No," Jak said punching is right fist forward, sending a blast of fire at Amon who jumped out of the way, "Free them, ill handle Amon," he said running forward as Korra ran over to Tenzin.
Jak dodged a kick from an equalist before pushing him off the stage with a blast of air. Then he sent the man wielding the electric batons and the other equalists off the stage with a bast of air. Tenzin ran next to Jak and sent a blast of air at Amon who dodged.
"Ahh," Jak said sending a blast of air at Amon and sent him flying to the water below, "Where is Pema, the baby and Lin?" He asked.
"Pema and the baby are in prison, I don't know where Lin is," said Tenzin.
"Alright lets go," said Korra as they all jumped off the stage and ran to the hallway. When they reached a path that went two ways.
"Alright lets go make sure your mother and the baby are safe," Tenzin said looking at his children.
"Prison break," said Meelo as they ran right when Jak noticed Amon exit the doorway behind them.
"Cmon," Korra said as the two of them ran to the left and into a storage room. Korra hid beneath a table that was covered by a sheet and Jak jumped up to the railing above. They waited for a few moments before Amon walked into the room.
Jak clenched his fists as Amon walked past the table where Korra was hiding. He then stopped walking and then Korra was pulled from the table and held in the air by Amon.
"Let her go now," said Jak jumping down when he couldn't move and he was held up in the air.
"You two have really been trouble," he said lowering them to the ground as they looked like they were in pain, "But first," he said walking over to Korra as her head looked up.
"No, don't," Jak said trying to move but looked in pain. He then watched as Amon placed his thumb on Korras forehead. Jak looked surprised as Korra fell to the ground.
"I told you I would destroy you, now there is only one left," said Amon looking at Jak who looked angry at him.
When Amon stood in front of him he blew a blast of air, sending him flying back. Jak stood up when he noticed the man wielding electric batons stood at the door.
"Amon, what they said was true wasn't it," he said before taking off his mask, "I trusted you, you traitor," he said. Taking out his batons he ran at his former leader, but froze and looked like he was in pain as Amon held him up.
"You have served me well captain," Amon said before tossing him into the wall behind Jak. Jak punched his right fist forward, hitting Amon with a blast of fire that sent him flying to the wall next to the door. Jak quickly picked up Korra and ran out of the room.
"Jak, my bending," Korra said sounding weak.
"Don't worry, for now we need to get out of here," Jak said looking serious before he looked in pain as he dropped Korra and was pulled back by Amon. Amon then pushed him into both walls, before standing above him.
"Goodbye, Avatar Jak," Amon said holding his thumb up.
"Get away from him," Korra said angrily before punching her right fist forward. Sending a blast of air and pushing Amon back. Jak fell against the wall looking at Korra who looked surprised.
"I can air bend," she said before looking determined, "I can air bend," she said before blasting air at Amon pushing him back further. Jak stood up when Amon pointed his hand at Korra.
"No," Jak said punching his right fist forward, sending a blast of air at Amon and sending him flying out the window. Jak took a breath before running over to Korra and holding her up.
They walked to the window to see the people below insulting them when blast of water shot up, revealing Amon with no scar and in a water tornado.
"The avatars were right," one of the people said when Amon jumped into water and began to swim away.
"Cmon, we gotta make sure Tenzin and the others are okay," said Korra looking down.
"I'm so sorry," Jak said as they walked away.
"Its okay, I'm just happy he didn't get you," she said smiling a little. After finding Tenzin and his family they headed back to air temple island. They met up with Mako, Asami, Bolin and Iroh who had completed their mission.
Lin arrived and walked over to the avatars and revealed that Amon had took her bending, "I'm sorry he got you too," she said looking at Korra, "What about you?" She asked looking at Jak.
"I'm alright, Korra saved me in time," he said looking down.
The reinforcements from the untied forces arrived and on one ship was Tenzins brother Bumi standing at the front, "Yeah," he said cheering.
"Great, now I have to entertain my brother," Tenzin said before sighing.
The group flew to the compound back at southern water tribe. They were waiting in the main building with Tonraq and Senna while Katara tried to restore the rest of Korras bending.
The door to the room opened revealing Katara with a sad look on her face, "How is she?" Jak asked.
"I'm sorry but theres nothing I can do," said Katara.
"No," Jak said looking down as Tonraq placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Theres gotta be something you can do, you're the best healer in the world," Lin said but Katara shook her head.
"I'm sorry, Korra can still air bend but her connection to the other elements is gone," said Katara as everyone looked down. The door to the room opened revealing Korra.
"Korra, everything is going to be alright,"said Tenzin.
"No, its not," she said before walking outside. Jak quickly ran after her.
"Korra," he said getting her attention as she stood next to Naga, "Listen its going to be okay,".
"No its not, now just go," she said looking away from him.
"What do you mean?" He asked.
"I'm not the avatar anymore but you are, so just go back to republic city and help them," she said.
"No not without you," Jak said holding her hand, "I didn't tell you how I felt about your for a long time and I still feel the same way, I love you," he said.
"I'm sorry," she said before jumping onto Naga and taking off out of the compound.
Jak watched her go when Tenzin stood next to him, "Just be patient with her," he said putting a hand on his shoulder.
"No," Jak said taking out his glider, "I'm not leaving her alone, not now," he said before taking off into the air. When he found Korra he looked surprised as he landed on the ground.
She was in a tornado and her eyes were glowing. Earth and fire shot from the tornado before a large wave of water shot up in front of her. Korra then landed on the ground with her eyes not glowing.
"I knew you were amazing," he said smiling.
She looked surprised before running over to him and hugging him. Jak hugged her back, "I'm sorry for what I said," she said.
"Its okay," Jak said before the two of them looked at each other. Korra then quickly kissed him on the lips and he kissed her back.
When she pulled away she smiled at him, "I love you too," she said before quickly hugging him again and Jak hugged her back smiling.
Later on Korra was able to restore Lins bending, making some of the others look surprised.
"Thank you," Lin said when Tenzin walked over to Korra.
"I'm proud of you avatar Korra," he said smiling before looking at Jak, "You as well, avatar Jak," he said.
That night Jak and Korra slept in the same bed holding each other close, both of them feeling happy that they had gotten through the battle together.
