"Why?" Jason asked coldly. Was this hurting Carly? "He... He makes these advances towards me. He's done it several times. He'll ask me out for a drink or dinner, it he'll grab my knee or rub my shoulder as he's passing by me. Heck, he's even grabbed my breast before." Carly told him.
The rage in Jason's eyes was unmistakable. "And every time I politely decline because I want to keep it professional, he gets this dark look in his eyes and then he'll start to call me all these names." Carly whimpered. Jason was silent for a moment, and Carly watched as he gripped the steering wheel so tightly with rage, his knuckles turned snow White.
"Jason?" Carly asked quietly, to make sure he was okay. She was scared. Jason was only like this when he was really mad. Jason closed his eyes. "Why didn't you tell me?" He asked her calmly, which scared her even more. "I was afraid too. I was afraid he'd find out and hurt me, or someone I care about. I was also afraid of what you'd do to him too." Carly mumbled. She felt tears prick back into her eyes. "Then why don't you report him? He'll lose his license." Jason asked her, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.
Carly stared at him incredulously before answering him. "I'm to scared to do that too. I'm afraid he'll come after me. And I can't let that happen. Not with Michael in the after care institute, and Morgan and Joss to look after. They need me." Carly paused her rant to take a shaky breath. "And don't you dare tell me that you'll protect me, because you have your own damn life to live, and you very well can't camp outside my door 24/7, so I'm kinda stuck here!" Carly screamed exasperatedly.
Jason realized that she was right. There was no way out for her just yet, but he would figure one out soon enough. "I'm not gonna leave you after I drop you off, I will stay at the hospital, until your appointment is over. If he tries anything, I will make sure he pays." Jason vowed to her. Carly was his best friend, he couldn't let anything happen to her. "No Jason, you won't." Carly told him with conviction. Jason stared at her with shock, and shook his head. He wasn't about to argue with her. He knew what he was gonna do, she wouldn't have to know.
