Carly panicked, and slung the door open to find Jason leaning against the opposite wall. He looked at her with concern etched on his face. "Are you okay?" Jason questioned her with alarm. She shook her head, trying to calm her heart rate.
Jason immediately straightened up, ready to barge into the office, but Carly stopped him. "Jason, no, the Doctor didn't do anything. I just need to talk to my mother. I'll meet you at the front desk. " Carly said weakly. Jason nodded but didn't look at her.
Carly ran to her mother's office. "Mama." She called out in a rush when she arrived. Bobbie looked up and smiled at her daughter. "Carly! What a nice surprise! What brings you here to see me today? " Her mother asked her. "Can you take Morgan and Joss tonight? They've been missing their grandma, and I kinda need a break. " Carly lied.
She had to pull out all the stops to make sure her children were not home tonight. Bobbie looked surprised. "Of course. You know I always want my grandchildren. I'm leaving now, so go get them from Mercedes, and drop them off. I'll be there. " Bobbie suggested.
Carly nodded and hugged her mother. "Thank you so much Mama. " She said gratefully.
