The next morning Alexandria called Ann on Skype. Ann popped up on the screen and immediately she could tell something was wrong with Alexandria.
"What's wrong Alexandria?" She asked.
"A lot." "Something happened last night."
"Between you and John?"
"Yeah."
"Well it obviously wasn't a good thing."
"It was an unplanned thing." "I told you they were making a movie about his wife."
"Right."
"Well he had to be on the set yesterday to supervise some scenes."
"It hit him really hard." "Last night he came to my room." "He was so sad." "He finally opened up to me and told me what happened to Sherri, everything." "He was emotional and started to cry."
"Aw."
"Yeah." "We hugged." "He kissed me, we started making out." "Eventually it progressed into starting to have sex, we didn't but we were getting ready to." "It felt really good, I mean the intimacy." "I haven't had that with someone in a long time." "Suddenly he stopped, got off of me and said he couldn't do it." "He said he wanted to but he couldn't." "Then he left."
"I'm sure it wasn't about you."
"He said it wasn't." "I have to tell me we can't hang out anymore."
"Why?"
"I have feelings for him."
"I know."
"It's not his fault but as I already knew, he'll never move on." "It's my fault for allowing myself to get close to him." "I can't be around him anymore." "I don't want to just be friends but that's all we can ever be." "I have to walk away before my feelings for him get any deeper." "I'm gonna miss him." She started to cry a little bit. "This sucks." She sniffled.
"Aw, don't cry."
Meanwhile John was in his room. He dialed Randy's number.
"Hello?" Randy said.
"Hi." John said depressed.
"What's up?"
"Alexandria and I almost had sex last night." John explained everything leading up to it. "I never thought I'd want to have sex with anyone again." "In three years I've had no desire whatsoever." "Last night it felt really nice, just to be close to someone again."
"What went wrong?"
"I wanted to, I really wanted to but as I was kissing I couldn't stop thinking of Sherri." "I stopped and told I couldn't do it." "I left." "I can't spend time with her anymore."
"I think you're running away because you have feelings for her."
"Yeah I do."
"John it's ok."
"No it's not." "I still love Sherri."
"You can love Sherri and be with Alexandria."
"No I can't." "I just hope she takes it ok." "I think she's great." "I'll miss her."
"You don't have to do it."
"Yes I do." "I can't let myself fall- He stopped. "It's not fair to her." "I'm pretty sure she has feelings for me to." "I can't do this to her." "I care about her to much."
Later that day John stopped by the set during the lunch break. Alexandria was surprised to see him because she knew he wasn't supposed to be there that day. John went over to her.
"Can we talk?" He asked.
"Yeah." They went outside.
"Alexandria, this has nothing to do with you but I don't think we should spend time together anymore."
"Neither do I."
"I'm really sorry."
"Me to."
"I just have to much stuff going on right now to um…
"I understand." They hugged.
"Take care of yourself."
"You to." "Bye."
"Bye." She watched as John drove away. Even though she was hurting she pushed her emotions down and went back inside.
