The Galaxy is under New-Republic rule, but emerging from the unknown regions, the First Order has arrived, seeking one thing, a map. Led by Kylo Ren, Caedus Ren and General Hux, the First Order has begun to take control of key systems throughout the galaxy, leading them ever closer to their ultimate goal. The New Republic, with the help of an unexpected ally tries to stop them.

Opening Crawl:

"A Long Time Ago In A Galaxy Far Far Away …"

"30 YEARS LATER! The balance in the force has shifted once again. Following the destruction of the First Galactic Empire and the death of Emperor Palpatine, the New Galactic First Order has risen from its ashes, under the leadership of Supreme general Hux and Supreme Leader Kylo Ren, leader of the Knights of Ren. Now, the First Order, even in its small size, begins to reign terror and take over systems in the galaxy, one by one.

Meanwhile, the New Republic led by Chancellor Mon Mothma, are quickly preparing for galaxy wide war with the First order. The Legendary Rebellion Hero, and sister to the Jedi Master - Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia Organa Leads the Resistance, the New Republic Military.

Now we find Kylo Ren and his forces in search of a valuable commodity, a Jedi Holocron, holding information regarding the future of the force, along with a path to find a lost commodity, the Vanished Jedi Grand Master, Luke Skywalker …"

Drop down from crawl onto exterior of the planet (jakku):

Opening – raid on Jakku

Space. Jakku – Night

We overlook the desert planet of Jakku (reminiscent of Tatooine from ANH. A First Order Resurgence class SD flies in out of hyperspace and the destroyer sails towards the planets orbit. As the destroyer flies by the camera, we see the hangar bay on the underbelly of the shit come past, and First Order transports fly out and race towards the planet's surface (moving much faster than the SD).

Cut to:

EXT. Jakku Surface - Night

overlooking a small village. Camera pans to one of the 'huts'. We see a small orange and white droid (of a rare model) roll into the hut.

INT. Hut on Jakku – Night

We see two characters, an old man, and a younger one sitting across from one another talking.

Poe – the younger man is dressed in his outfit from TFA. He is wearing a pilot's jacket, with a black undershirt. He is carrying a large blaster around him, with a strap going around his shoulder. Poe is wearing khaki cargo pants.

Lor San Tekka – he is the older man. He is dressed in robes, but nothing like jedi or sith robes. He is bearded and moving very slowly. He appears to have lived through many eras of Star Wars, from the Clone Wars to the Galactic Empire, to even now.

POE DAMERON

Are you sure this will work? I'm risking a lot to be here.

Lor San Tekka

I'm sure it's worth it. This … this is the key to your problems, the key to unlock your future.

POe Dameron

I understand. I'll get this to the general immediately.

LOr san tekka

She'll always be a princess to me. I trust that you will but be careful. If this gets into the wrong hands, the galaxy could be doomed.

We suddenly hear noises coming from outside, the First Order troopers are approaching the village. We can hear the Tie Fighters & transports racing towards the surface. The Tie Fighters blast a few shots at the village, but nothing deadly.

You must leave now. Go out the back. Don't turn around.

Lor hands Poe something, wrapped in a brown cloth. Through the cloth, there is a faint blue glow. Poe and Lor peek through a fold of the tent, they look at each other, and then Lor nods to Poe, signaling that it is time to go.

Poe Turns and with BB-8, they run out the back of the tent. There is a Resistance X-Wing in the distance that they rush towards. (we see this all through the perspective of being inside the tent).

EXT. Village – Night

The First Order transports have finally landed. The camera is first on a side view showing the transports landing one at a time, with the bay doors quickly opening and the stormtroopers rushing out.

The storm troopers are again in all white armor, with the captains of the squadrons wearing a red lapel. Their helmet still has a Mandalorian look, but is distinct enough from the OG trilogy Storm troopers.

As the camera is panning around, it stops in the middle, where a particular transport lands (obviously different from the rest).

The camera switches angles and looks upward at the transport's doors.

The doors open and depressurize (giving off a smoke/fog look – ominous).

Four Sith troopers rush out (in red armor and with staffs instead of blasters), followed by the knights of ren. There are six knights, all carrying a different weapon.

There is an axe, spears, swords, and some blasters.

Lastly, we see Kylo and Caedus walk out simultaneously signifying the chain of command).

Kylo is dressed in his traditional garb. He is hooded, wearing his same helmet from TFA.

Caedus is also wearing black garb. He instead has small armor plating on his shoulder, like Kannan Jarrus from SW Rebels. He is still wearing robes though, but not as long as Kylo's.

Both of the men exit the transport together. While they are both powerful

EXT. Jakku X-Wing – Night

Poe and BB-8 make it to the x-wing (Poe is panting).

poe

Come on BB-8! We have to get out of here before they see us.

BB-8

**Beeps and Boops**

They both get into the X-Wing and ass they get ready to blast off.

Poe programs the Navi-Computer to set coordinates for Dantooine.

As he is doing this, Poe sees the village getting massacred.

Poe has a moment of conflict, wondering how he should handle the situation.

For a moment, Poe is prepared to leave, but after a moment of thinking, he decides to go with them.

AHHHH!

Poe takes the wrapped holocron and gives it to BB-8 (reminiscent of Leia and R2D2 from ANH).

poe

Take this. Make sure you get this back to base immediately! Don't make any stops and don't let it out of your sight.

Poe is worried of what could happen, shown by his facial expression after he gives the holocron to BB8.

Poe turns his modified X-Wing's turret and focuses it at the village (aim at stormtroopers).

He kills some of them but catches the rest of their attention.

He Jumps out the other side of the X-Wing (unnoticed) and BB-8 flies off.

The troopers fire at the x-wing, but they are ineffective.

Caedus notices this and uses the force to stop the X-wing from flying away.

Caedus ren (through mask)

You're not getting away that fast. (to troopers) FOCUS FIRE ON THEIR ENGINES!

The x-wing is slowly being pulled out of the sky by Caedus, showing off his full strength in the force. Suddenly, we see Poe running towards the village with his blaster, still unnoticed.

As Kylo and the other Knights are killing and capturing the villagers, Poe fires a bolt at Caedus.

This distracts him and the X-Wing is able to fly away and go to hyperspace.

Caedus pulls out his lightsaber and ignites it, but then we see Kylo ren turn and use the force to hold the blaster bolt in place (copy from TFA).

Kylo ren (through mask)

Guards! Seize him!

The Sith troopers rush over and secure Poe and take him back to the transport in handcuffs. They also secure his blaster.

Poe is taken specifically to the main transport with Kylo and Caedus.

Kylo ren

Now! Where is the old man? … Knights find him! (to troopers) Line up the villagers. Fire at will! …

As the troopers are aiming to kill the villagers, Lor San Tekka comes out and surrenders himself.

His spirit is broken.

He knows the fat that he will be facing by surrendering himself, but he understands the risk.

lor san tekka

That's enough! I'm here … what do you want from me Ren?!

kylo ren

It's been so long since we've seen one another. But you know why I'm here. You hold valuable information, and if you hand it over, I may very well spare your life.

lor san tekka

I've lived a long time young one, long enough to see where you've came from. It's a shame as to what you have become. Both of you. What would your mother think if she saw you like this? And you, your fa -

Kylo begins to force choke Tekka and pulls him closer to him.

Kylo ren

I will ask you again. Where is the holocron?

This time, Kylo is filled with more rage and hate when asking the question.

The audience can feel his frustration the more that Tekka continues to stall.

tekka

A holocron? Now where would I find one of those? And how would I find it before one of you two? (saying all of this sarcastically)

The whole time, Tekka is being sarcastic, wanting to drive his frustration up.

Tekka knows the two very well and he is willing to risk his life

Kylo ren

Very well then, Caedus … kill him.

Caedus grabs his lightsaber from his back and ignites it.

The camera cuts to his hands shaking as he holds the lightsaber.

He slowly raises it, still hesitant.

As he gets ready to slaughter him, we see Kylo's face.

He senses the conflict within Caedus.

Finally, Caedus strikes him down, still shaking.

He turns the lightsaber off and turns back towards the ship.

We go back to Kylo and see him stare at Caedus as he walks off, but he then turns his head back towards the dead Lor San tekka.

Kylo ren

Very well then. (he signals towards the troopers) Kill them.

The whole time, Kylo begins to sense a conflict in him, similar to that of Anakin in the prequel trilogy.

The troopers open fire on the villagers that were lined up earlier.

Afterwards, the troopers race back into their transports and we see the main transport again.

Poe is in the back with the Sith troopers guarding him.

The knights of ren are lined up on the walls.

Caedus and Kylo are standing next to one another and as the doors close, we see Kylo look over at Caedus again.

As everyone flies off, we cut back to the blaster bolt held in midair.

The bolt is released and blows up one of the villagers' homes.

Wipe To:

Dantooine – EXT – City Center Landing Platforms

The camera wipes to Dantooine (The home of the Jedi Temple that our big 3 characters trained at & Kayden's actual home).

We are at a landing platform in the 'Downtown' City Center.

A Mon Calamari Cargo transport is landing at the platform.

As it touches down, the bay door opens, and we see Republic troops unloading the transport full of supplies.

As the troopers are exiting, we see a woman, dressed in jedi Robes standing off to the side. She overlooks the city.

Jaina is wearing maroon robes for the top. Her pants legs are all white and her boots are maroon, with white engravings on them.

Jaina

Tace, are you good from here? I have some stuff to take care of.

Tace

Of course, just be back in time for us to leave. We don't want to be late back to the base - again.

Tace knows what is going to happen. The same sequence happens every time they come to Dantoonine.

Jaina

I'll try my best, but I won't make any promises.

Tace rolls her eyes back at Jaina, they have a joking back and forth banter with one another.

Jaina

Just prep the hyperdrive. We need to make a stop at Jakku.

Tace

Jakku? Who wants to go to Jakku? It's just another crap hole full of rejects and sand.

Jaina

Just do it. I'll be back soon. We have some stuff to pick up on the way back

Jaina rushes off to get to a speeder bike. She speeds past the other republic troops and goes into the distance.

Marx

Hey! Where are you going!? (yelling to Jaina in the distance)

This officer is obviously not familiar with this process. They are disgusted that Jaina is running off without helping unload.

Tace

Just forget it. Let's go everyone, back to work. (activates commlink) Captain, set a course for Jakku. She … has another special stop for us.

Tace looks off and sees a tiny image of Jaina racing towards something, but we cannot see it yet.

Wipe too:

Dantooine Jedi Temple – EXT – Day time

We see Jaina stop her speeder at the foot of the Jedi Temple.

This one is very different from the one we've seen on Coruscant and even the one on Lothal.

It has a much more modern & cleaner look to it.

Jaina walks up the temple steps and uses the force to open the doors.

The Temple clearly hasn't been used in years and Jaina is the only person who visits.

She steps into a training area and activates an old training droid (like the one Luke used in ANH).

Jaina ignites one of her lightsabers, it's purple in color.

She begins a training session through the course.

After she finishes, she goes onto a balcony outside and begins to meditate.

We start to see a flashback to her time training at the jedi temple.

We see a younger version of Luke Skywalker training a group of Jedi Knights at the same temple on Dantooine.

This is approximately 12-13 years earlier.

young luke

Very well younglings. You are on your way to becoming very strong and powerful Jedi. Always remember, a Jedi never acts out of anger or hatred. Jedi must separate themselves from emotions and attachments.

young Leia

Luke-

Young luke

Leia, stop right there. I already know what you're going to say. It worked for me – it will work for them.

Luke is overconfident in skills.

Young Leia

Very well then, just don't become too distracted, Master Jedi.

Luke looks at Leia and rolls his eyes in disgust.

He believes that he is teaching them the right way.

He turns back to the younglings and nods to dismiss them.

Luke looks at one of his pupils and sees Ben Solo (Kylo Ren) walking alone.

Kayden (Caedus Ren) runs up behind him.

They ignite their training sabers and begin to spar with one another.

Soon Jaina comes in and they all begin to train together.

They are very strong for such a young age.

Each of the three are beginning to show off a very specific skillset.

Ben is conflicted between the dark and light – Kayden is a master and skilled duelsit & Jaina is the most intune with her force abilities.

He does not come from the legendary Skywalker bloodline – but he trains and is powerful.

Now we hear engines of a fighter landing outside.

Jaina wakes up from her flashback/ dream and looks over the balcony.

She sees Poe's X-Wing, with BB-8 piloting in it.

Jaina

Their back!

Jaina jumps over the balcony and flips to land on the top of the X-Wing.

This is a first show of her force augmentation.

Now, she notices that Poe is not in the cockpit.

Her expression changes in an instant from excitement to worry.

Jaina

Uh… where's Poe?

Sudden Camera Change:

INT - The Finalizer Bridge – Hyperspace

Standing on the bridge is Kylo Ren, with Caedus Ren to his right and General Hux on his Left.

Kylo stands prominently amongst the three.

Kylo Ren

General, arrange for the prisoner to be transported to the cell block when we arrive.

Hux has a disgusted look on his face from Kylo Ren's demands.

He clearly has a grudge against Kylo

General Hux

At Once, Lord Ren

Kylo also senses that the general shares feelings to his comments.

Kylo ren

Did I say something to disturb you general?

As the three pillars of the First Order stand in silence, Caedus leaves the three, exiting the bridge.

Kylo turns to face Caedus as he walks away.

Kylo ren

I sense …

Captain Ardin

General Hux, we are arriving at Mustafar now. The prisoner is loaded onto a transport. Lord Ren, your transport is also ready for launch.

KYlo ren

Captain - have my Knights ready to go as well. We will be leaving for the surface immediately.

As Kylo leaves the bridge, Hux stares off to him, with another look of disgust. Captain Ardin joins him overlooking the planet.

general Hux

Guards, with me! Captain, I trust that you can lead the fleet while I am gone.

Hux leaves the bridge and Captina Ardin takes his position. He signals to his LT.

Captain ardin

LT. alert lord Ren that he may depart for the surface.

LT.

Understood Captain. (now he presses a comm. button). Lord Ren's transports are cleared for launch.

Still looking out over the bridge, we see the transports rushing down to the surface.

EXT. (Vader's) Mustafar Castle

Fiery and lava. Still looks like Vader's Castle. There are TIE fighters circling the castle.

The castle is heavily guarded, troops all throughout the castle and surrounding it.

The First Order transports land in the hangar bay.

INT. Castle Hallway –

We cut to Kylo Ren, Caedus, the Knights and some Sith troopers walking down a corridor in the castle.

kylo ren

Commander escort the prisoner to the brig. I will be there soon for interrogation.

Commander

Understood.

The troopers take Poe away from the rest of the group.

The Knights and Ren continue to walk down the corridor until they get to the outside of Kylo's Quarters.

Kylo ren

You are dismissed. … Except you. Come with me.

Kylo is looking specifically at Caedus. As Kylo enters his quarters, Caedus pauses, but then proceeds.

There is an obvious tension in the room.

Caedus ren

Guards, you may excuse us.

The guards nod and leave with the Knights.

Caedus proceeds into his chambers.

INT. Kylo's Quarters

Kylo overlooks the lava river down below his window.

Caedus stands on the other side of the desk.

Kylo, still looking out the window, proceeds to take his helmet off for the first time.

We see his long black hair flowing out.

Caedus on the other hand still has his helmet on.

Facing the wall, Kylo begins to speak for the first time without a filter.

I sensed a disturbance in the force with you on Jakku.

Caedus

I'm not sure what you are referring to Ren.

Kylo turns around to face him for the first time.

kylo

Let's not begin this. You know what happened. I sensed your hesitation at the village. I'm not sure why, but I can sense you slipping from the dark side.

Caedus

Slipping?! I believe that your arrogance is clouding your judgment. What would your parents say if they saw you now – your mother?

As Caedus says this, he turns towards the door.

Kylo in awe of what he just said, ignites his cross-guard lightsaber and swings it towards Caedus, intentionally not striking him.

KYlo ren

(as he is doing this he says) Well at least I have parents to return to, my apprentice.

Frustrated by what Kylo said, Caedus ignites one end of his double-bladed lightsaber. He then turns around quickly.

Caedus

Apprentice? I am more powerful than you could possibly imagine – regardless of my parents.

As the two prepare to duel, Kylo gets a transmission from the prison cell.

Commander Dent

Lord Ren, the prisoner is ready for interrogation.

Kylo turns off his saber and faces the hologram. Caedus then does the same.

Kylo ren

Understood commander. I am on the way. (now Kylo looks back to Caedus). We… will finish this later.

Kylo walks past Caedus as he exits.

Caedus exits soon after, buts heads in the opposite direction.

The camera follows Caedus.

He opens one door and the camera then stops.

As the door closes, it signifies the start of a new scene.

Camera change:

INT. Caedus Quarters in the castle. -

The 'same' door opens to reveal Caedus entering his quarters.

He rushes inside and plops on his bed.

He takes off his helmet and revels himself.

He has shorter hair, with scars lining his face.

Caedus paces the room, clearly in anguish, torn between the light and dark side of the force.

Caedus flashes back to his past –

Ceadus Ren/ Kayden Skywalker has flashing images, at random of pieces of his past.

We see:

Luke, Ben, Jaina, Leia, raid on the Temple, etc.

Sudden cut to:

INT – Castle Hallway – Night

Ren is walking down the hallway with his Sith troopers by his side.

Ren enters the cell where Poe is being held and his troopers wait outside.

INT. Prison Cell – Night

Kylo walks into the cell block.

He paces in front of Poe a few times before beginning to talk.

kylo ren

I had no idea we had the best pilot in the resistance with us. I'm honored. … I sense, fear flowing throughout you. Please, tell me what it is.

Poe doesn't want to talk at all, fearing he may give up valuable information.

Kylo ren

Very well then, how about I make this simple for you …

Kylo proceeds to remove his helmet.

He sets it on a pedestal.

Kylo ren

Where is it?

Poe dameron

What? Where is what? My ship? Gone. My blaster? Well you took it. My dignity? Well …

Kylo out of frustration begins to force choke Poe. This causes him to stop speaking.

Poe musters the strength to finish his sentence.

poe dameron

… Guess that's gone too now -

Kylo ren

The holocron? Where is it!? I know the old man gave it to you. I can sense it inside of you.

Poe is still being chocked and appears close to death, or at least to being knocked out.

poe dameron

I … Don't … Know …

Poe is saying all of this while he is still being force choked.

Kylo is growing more frustrated. He ignites his cross-guard lightsaber.

He then pulls it towards Poe's face.

Kylo places his hand close to Poe's head, as if he is trying to read his mind.

kylo ren

… you haven't seen inside it. Wait - there it is!

Kylo stops using the force and turns off his lightsaber.

He pulls a commlink out of his side and turns it on

kylo ren

General Hux?

General Hux

Yes Lord Ren?

Kylo Ren

The holocron … it's in a droid. A BB unit. It was headed for Dantoonine.

general hux

I will assemble a small fleet to be deployed at once.

Kylo ren

Very well.

Kylo walks away towards the exit of the room. The door automatically opens and Kylo proceeds to walk through it.

Kylo pauses for a moment.

Without turning his full body, he stretches out his hand and his helmet flies too him form off the pedestal.

The camera stays on the pedestal.

Another helmet gets placed on the same pedestal. It is Caedus Ren's helmet.

He has entered the cell block after Kylo has left.

Caedus places his hand on Poe's forehead and wakes him up.

Poe jumps up out of his sleep and starts breathing heavily before calming himself back down.

Caedus ren

I'm breaking you out of here.

Poe is both and awe and confused.

Poe Dameron

I'm sorry? You're going to do what exactly?

Caedus ren

Look, I need a pilot. I can fly, but I know who you are. You have a reputation, and so you might as well uphold it. Plus, you can get me somewhere I need to be now … Dantooine

As Caedus is letting Poe out of the restraints, Poes face turns from confused, to anxious and surprised.

poe dameron

No no no no no! I am not taking you to Dantooine. Not now.

Caedus ren

Why? I am the one freeing you right now. I'm also the one holding a lightsaber and could cut you to pieces at any point I want to.

Poe's expression changes again. He obviously contemplated his options and has clearly chosen one.

Poe

Well … you make a very compelling argument. I guess we're going to Dantooine!

Caedus ren

Good choice.

INT. Castle hallway - Night

Poe and Caedus exit the cell block and into the hallway.

Poe now has a bag/ cloth around his head so that he is not recognized.

INT. Castle hangar – Night

The hangar bay has glowing blue lights. It looks close to a Resurgence class SD hangar bay.

There a rows of TIE Fighters lining the walls of the hangar, with transports on the hangar floor.

Above them is a Hangar Bay Control Area.

In the middle of the floor is Kylo Ren's Transport that was used on Jakku.

They enter the hangar bay of the castle and start to go towards one of the Knights of Ren TIE Fighters.

Caedus Ren

Act natural. Don't draw attention to yourself

POE Dameron

Natural? How can I act natural? I have a bag over my head. That's the farthest thing in the galaxy from natural.

Poe and Caedus walk into the hangar bay, as if Caedus is transporting him off the planet.

INT. Castle hallway – Night

We cut to Kylo and his other knights of ren walking down the hallway.

They are approaching the Cell block where Poe was being held.

They approach the door of the cell and the two stormtroopers on guard move aside for Kylo and the Knights to enter.

Kylo enters, followed by the Knights.

They are surprised to see that the prisoner is gone.

Knight #1

Guards! Where is the prisoner?

Storm trooper #1

Uh … I believe that he was taken by Lord Caedus. He said that there was a prisoner transfer.

In a rage, Kylo, ignites his lightsaber and begins to destroy the unit that Poe was being restrained in, along with the walls of the room.

The Knights stand aside, allowing Ren to continue (as if they are used to this behavior from him).

Kylo then proceeds to use the force and pull the storm trooper towards him.

Kylo ren

YOU IMBUSLE!

Kylo proceeds to kill the trooper in a rage of hate and frustration

Kylo walks out of the room, his Knights close by.

As they walk down the corridor, Kylo pulls out a holodisk.

He turns it on and gets the Commander over the base.

kylo ren

Commander MeiLi! Lock down the base! Send all troops to the hangar bay. Alert me if you see Caedus.

Commander MeiLi

Understood Supreme Leader!

Kylo shuts off the hologram to the commander and opens another one.

Kylo ren

General Hux!?

Captain Ardin

Lord Ren, how unexpected. General Hux is not on the bridge at the moment. May I relay a message to him?

Kylo ren

Prepare the fleet. I sense that he will try to escape.

As the captain is preparing to respond, Kylo shuts off the transmission.

INT. Castle Hangar Bay – Night

We cut to Caedus and Poe preparing to board one of the TIE Fighters.

As they approach Caedus' personal fighter, a maintenance worker approaches.

Maintenece Worker #1

Lord Caedus, I must ask you to step away. The base is on full lockdown.

Caedus ren

I'm going to have to ask you to step aside and disable the locking gears.

Maintnence worker #1

I'm sorry sir but I cannot do that.

The maintenance worker slowly reaches for his blaster.

Caedus senses this and waves his hand past his face to activate the mind trick.

Caedus ren

You will unlock the landing gear. And you will let me go by with my prisoner.

The maintenance worker is suddenly dazed.

maintnece worker #1

At once, Lord Caedus.

The worker proceeds to step aside and unlock the landing gear.

Caedus and Poe board the fighter and begin to take off.

Caedus ren

Program the navigation computer for Dantooine. I'm prepping the hyperdrive now. Let's just hope we can get out of here unnoticed.

As Caedus is finishing the procedures and they start to move, Caedus senses Kylo Ren entering the hangar.

He immediately turns the ship around and tells Poe to start flying.

Caedus is begins firing in the hangar.

Kylo Ren signals for his troopers to fire at the ship, but they all get thrown off by the lasers from the TIE Fighter.

Poe and Caedus are able to fly off away from the base and into space.

We cut back to see Kylo Ren pull out his commlink.

kylo ren

Captain, they are coming your way. See to it that they do not escape. I am on my way.

Kylo loads into his own TIE Fighter and flies off into the distance behind Caedus and Poe.

Space – Mustafar Exterior – Night

The First Order fleet of the Finalizer along with two other SDs and escort ships are waiting for Caedus to arrive.

From our POV, Caedus' fighter zooms past, heading straight for the fleet.

INT – Caedus' Fighter – Night

Caedus ren

Has the Navi-Computer calculated the Hyperspace coordinates yet?

Poe dameron

It still needs a little longer

Caedus ren

How much longer Poe?!

Give me as much time as you can!

Space – Mustafar Exterior – Night

Kylo ren is zooming not too far behind them.

We get a look inside his cockpit and see his hands igniting the triggers of the lasers from the ship.

TIE Fighters begin to fly out of the SDs in swarms, all converging on the lone ship.

Poe and Caedus are being shot at constantly.

They are able to do some damage to the ships and out maneuver most of the pilots (even though they are trained, Poe and Caedus show that they have more skills than anyone).

After they kill off most of the TIE's, they get past the fleet, with Kylo and a few TIES still behind them.

POE dameron

All right, we're ready to make the jump. Bring us around to point seven!

Caedus ren

Got it!

Caedus proceeds to take over the ship and swing them around to the coordinates.

As they prepare to jump off to hyperspace, we see that Kylo is able to fire a tracking device onto the hull of their fighter.

Followed by that, one of the TIE escorts is able to get a hit onto one of the ships engines.

The ship jumps into hyperspace.

We are still in space and we see Kylo's Ship zoom past the camera, changing the scene for us.

INT – Kylo's Quarters – Night

We see Kylo entering his quarters, but this time he goes into a different section of the space.

Kylo walks slowly and quietly.

Kylo stops in front of an unidentifiable object.

Kylo then kneels

I have failed you. But do not worry, I will finish what you started, I will live out your legacy.

Now, the camera changes and starts from the floor and pans up.

It is Darth Vader's burned corpse and suit hung/ stood up against the wall. Kylo stands up now.

Kylo ren

I will avenge you … Grandfather.

Camera Wipe:

Hyperspace – Caedus' Tie Fighter – N/A

We see Poe messing around with buttons and knobs on the console.

We then see a look of concern wipe over his face.

Hey! We have an issue!

Caedus ren

Well what is it?

It looks like one of the engines got hit right before we made the Jump.

Caedus ren

So, what's the issue? It's not your first time being shot at – I know from experience.

Poe dameron

We're leaking fuel right now. If we ignite the engines for too long, we have about a 1000% chance of blowing up. We need to land, and land fast.

Caedus ren

Well, get to reprograming the Navi-computer. I'll see if I can make any quick changes so that we don't blow up.

POe dameron

Alright, looks like the closest system where we won't get shot out of space is - Jakku.

Caedus ren

Well then, it looks like we know where we're headed.

Poe and Caedus continue to work and mess around on the consoles of the ship.

Poe gets from up under the console he was at to take steering control again.

Poe

Exiting hyperspace now.

We are thrust out of the blue and white light from hyperspace travel.

We see a shot of the desolate sandy planet, like the one from the opening of the movie.

Space – EXT of the ship – Day

We see the fighter floating towards the planet. The 2 have no control over the navigation since they aren't using the engines.

As the ship moves into the planet's atmosphere, we cut to a shot of Poe in his seat, with Caedus behind him.

POe

I've got a bad feeling about this.

Cut to D'Qar:

EXT – Resistance Base – Day

We are at the resistance base on D-Qar.

The camera pans to see the ships, equipment, set-up of the base.

It then lands on a landing platform. The transport from Dantooine is landing on the platform.

In the background, we see and X-Wing (Poe's) rushing in to land. Jaina makes a very abrupt landing on a fighter pad.

We see her open the cockpit hatch and similar to before, she easily flips out of there and lands on the platform

All available personnel, report to landing pad 11 and 13 for unloading. Repeat, all available personnel report to pads 11 and 13.

During that sequence, we see resistance fighters, pilots, etc. exit the main base/ HQ.

We cut back to Jaina who is looking over. In the background BB8 gets out of the X-wing and starts to follow Jaina.

Still looking at the HQ, we see that the majority of people have exited. A few seconds later, we see Leia and Han conversing while walking over.

Jaina rushes over towards them, with BB-8 close behind.

Jaina does a few flips to get past some of the things in the way (crates, people, etc.)

She does one last flip off of an X-wing and lands behind Leia and Han.

Princess Leia - General Solo.

Jaina is being very courteous.

Jaina skywalker

Leia, I think that we need to talk about something.

Jaina pulls the holocron out of one of BB-8s compartments. She raises it with the force to the eye level of Leia and Han.

Leia

It appears we do.

We see Leia and Han stare at it one more time. the camera zooms in on the blue light of the holocron.

Zoom out from the blue light to show the sky of Jakku

EXT. Jakku – day

We see the blue sky of Jakku, with the sand sitting underneath. It's beautiful and peaceful.

All of a sudden, the damaged TIE Fighter flies into view of the camera, slightly in the distance.

INT. TIE Fighter – day

Caedus ren

Poe! Do you trust me

Poe

Well, given our current situation, I'm not sure if I have a better option.

Caedus

That's what I was looking to hear.

We see Caedus press the emergency unlock button freeing them from their seat and opening the top hatch.

Caedus then jumps out of his seat and struggles to get ot the exterior of the ship, but he does eventually make it to the hull.

Caedus is standing on the top of the hull of the ship. With one hand, he holds onto the ship, with the other, he concentrates and stretches out to Poe, but not to grab his hand

Back inside the ship, we see Poe being lifted out using the force and then, Caedus flings him upward.

Caedus then flips off of the TIE, in a fashion similar to his siter, but not as refined.

He does a few rolls before he gains control again.

He rushes to where Poe is still falling (he is unconscious).

Caedus concentrates to gain control of Poe's body. Poe is close to hitting the ground, but Caedus is able to set him down carefully.

Looking up, Caedus is able to see the TIE crashing in the distance.

He looks down, removes his helmet and with the force, wakes Poe up.

POE

** gasping for air**

Caedus

Great, you're alive. Let's keep moving.

Shift to:

INT. bridge of the finalizer – Night

The finalizer is still overlooking Mustafar.

Kylo ren comes aboard the bridge, flowed closely by general Hux.

Kylo force pulls captain Ardin to him and ignites his saber.

kylo ren

Captain give me one good reason why I should not kill you right now.

LT. #1

Genaerla Hux, the tracker on the escaped TIE fighter has relayed a position. It was last seen hurdling to the surface of Jakku.

Hux approaches the LT. and Kylo drops the captain.

Hux

Well, where is it now?

LT. #1

Sir, the transponder has been cut off. Local reports of the Area say that there has been a crash 5 klicks south of one of the local villages.

Hux

Well then, have a salvage crew inspect the site. They couldn't have survived that crash.

Kylo ren

Delay that order Lt. Have my ship prepared to go to Jakku. Order the local system to send all available forces to the crash site and the village. I want everything locked down. No one in or out.

With hesitation, the Lt. proceeds with his orders.

Kylo begins to walk off of the bridge, General Hux following him again.

hux

Ren, why would you commit so many forces to that. You have other duties to attend to here, and I'm sure the local patrols can deal with two measly fugitives.

Kylo pauses in his walk. He force chokes Hux to the ground, releasing him soon after.

kylo ren

Do you have an issue with my authority general? I would hate to have to find a replacement for a man of you great talents.

Hux

No, Lord Ren.

Kylo leaves and Hux walks over to a Holo table and brings up a star chart.

WIPE TO:

INT. Resistance HQ – Day

The jedi holocron is sitting on a pedestal.

In the center of the room, there is is a holotable, projecting an image of an ancient Jedi Holocron.

Leia

Well, it seems as if Poe succeeded in his mission. I believe that, if we can unlock the holocron, we would have unlocked our future, the future of the force.

Han

Well what is even in this thing? What is so special about it that we can't figure out on our own? I mean, we have a Jedi sitting right here! What can this do that she can't

leia

Han, I know that this is complicated, but these holocrons, the are like history books, recordings, maps, all put into one.

jaina

They can connect with the force, give us a map of the force sensitive children around the galaxy. Maybe more importantly, they can give us a map. A map to my father … Luke Skywalkers.

The room erupts with noise at the mention of his name. it is clear that the galaxy believes in Luke, but maybe not in his lineage.

han

Well then, if this can bring back my friend, then we have to do it. So, how do we crack this thing open?

Leia

Only a jedi can do that job. It has to be Jaina.

Leia turns to Jaina. She is in awe, fearful that the fate of the galaxy is in her hands.

The whole room turns to look at Jaina

She can now really feel the pressure mounting.

Jaina moves to go and grab the holocron off the pedestal.

Jaina then leaves the room and walks across to another room.

Leia is prepared to go after her, but Han puts his hand on her shoulder to stop her from going.

Han

Leia, you have to let her figure this out on her own. Just like Luke needed to leave us to become the legend he is to us.

Leia turns to look at Han. She feels relived that she has someone supporting her.

While they are holding onto one another, R2D2 comes and bumps Leia, he is carrying an urgent message.

Leia let's go of Han and turns towards R2D2 who is rambling out of control.

leia

R2? What's wrong? Is your transmitter jammed again?

C3PO is trying his hardest to follow behind R2.

C3Po

No Mistress Leia. There is an urgent transmission waiting for you in the war room.

Leia looks at Han as if she needs his permission to go.

Han nods at Leia as she goes off with 3PO and R2.

Han

I'll be right behind you. Get going, I'm sure they need you.

Ha stares at Leia walking away, his arms crossed.

Chewbacca come up behind him. He does his signature noise.

Han

Shut it chewie. You know we aren't still together. But I will always love her. Til the end.

Han and Chewie follow the path that Leia went down.

EXT – Jakku – Day

Caedus and Poe continue to walk across the sand dunes. They come up on a local city center, similar to the one seen on Tatooine in ANH.

We cut to Poe and Caedus arriving at the market.

Caedus keeps his helmet on but decides to ditch the robes.

As they are walking through the local market, Poe notices some ships lying out on the other edge of the market.

Poe

Hey. Those look like ships lying around. If we can get inside one, I can rewire it and get us of this bucket of junk.

Caedus is contemplating this idea.

Caedus

No. we don't need to attract any more attention than we already have. Let's look around a little more.

Caedus continues to walk around the market a bit more, carefully listening for any information.

Poe enters into a bar. It's fairly desolate, some light music playing. The occasional bounty hunter is spread out, along with a few civilians.

Poe looks around a bit more, his eyes landing on a group of drunk friends wresting one another.

He has a look on his face as if he feels above them.

Poe pulls out some credits and slide them towards the bartender.

Poe

One Ambrostine. An extra shot

The bartender takes the credits and faces towards his liquor shelves.

Bartender

That kind of day huh?

The bartender gives him a glass full of the liquor, he even gives him a second one.

We cut back out to Caedus walking around the village.

He begins to pick at some fruits, acting as if he is minding his business.

He hears someone talking about a stolen ship sitting on landing pad 12.

We see a smile wipe cross Caedus' face. He discreetly walks to the Bar where Poe is

Back inside the bar, Caedus comes in, removes his helmet and signals for the bartender.

Caedus

I'll take what he's having

Th bartender takes Caedus' credits and repeats the same process.

While the bartender is making the drink, Caedus leans into Poe.

Caedus

Landing bay 12. I'll meet you there.

As Caedus proceeds to get up out of his seat, we hear those same noises coming from outside that we heard in the beginning.

Caedus and Poe look at one another. They know what is about to happen.

They get up and rush out the Bar. Across from the landing pads are troop transports, storm troopers are filing out, firing up the marketplace, hoping to find the fugitives.

Poe and Caedus run out onto the horizon, standing between the landing pads and the troopers.

Caedus

Poe, get to the landing pad, do what you need to do to start the ship. I'll join you … shortly.

Poe runs off towards the landing pads. We see him searching for landing platform 12.

He goes one by one to the different platforms before finding it.

Once he finds it, he goes to the platform console. In a rush, he is trying to unlock the landing gear and the ship.

While he is doing this, the owner of the ship comes rushing and yelling. (he is yelling in his own alien language.

Starship Owner

**insert random language**

He catches Poe's attention and Poe tries to work after, but is still unsuccessful.

The Alien owner then pulls out a blaster rifle and starts firing.

Poe hurdles the console and pulls out his blaster.

poe

Why do I always get these missions?

They begin trading shots with one another before the Alien hits the pad's console. His strikes to the console unlock the landing gear and unlock the ships doors.

Poe is shocked and takes one more look at the alien and fires at him. He is now dead.

Poe slips his blaster back in his holster. As he is about to go onto the ship, Poe overlooks Caedus back on the sand dune.

Poe

Hey! I got the ship! We need to get out of here. NOW!

Caedus looks back to Poe

Caedus

Prep the ship, I'll be there in a second.

Poe ruses into the ship. We cut back to Caedus standing across from platoons of troopers. He ignites his lightsaber and puts on his helmet.

The troopers began to open fire on him.

Caedus starts to deflect the bolts by spinning his saber and he even hits some of the troopers.

Caedus then starts to run towards the groups of storm troopers and starts to kill them by beheading them, stabbing them, the occasional force push, etc.

Caedus takes out a few platoons of troopers, and then more start to arrive. It begins to look overwhelming.

Caedus takes off his helmet and drops it into the sand. He is prepared to Die.

As they troops are preparing to open fire, Poe start to fire at them with the ship's turbo lasers.

The expression on his face starts to change as he feels like they may have the upper hand.

They take out a few more troops as Caedus also takes some out by hand and with his saber.

Eventually, Poe takes off with the ship.

Poe

Watch out, I'm coming in hot!

The ship flies overhead of Caedus and the storm troopers, eventually soaring past them.

Caedus turns around to see the ship coming straight it him, the bay door opening up.

He turns on his commlink

Caedus

Delay that! Just fly over me. I have another way to get on.

poe

Uh… got it. I'm coming in Now! Get ready.

Caedus starts to run in the direction that Poe is flying thee ship in. The ship is not too far behind him.

The storm troopers are firing blasters at the ship, but it is having no effect.

Now, Caedus closes his eyes as he is still running. He suddenly stops and using force augmentation, he jumps into the air and lands on the hull of the ship.

We get to see part of that shot from the perspective of POE in the cockpit.

Caedus

Poe! Turn around, hold the ship steady.

poe

Got it! Heading to point 6.

Poe hits a few buttons on the NAV console. He then grabs the steering mechanism and turns the ship.

Poe starts firing at more of the troopers.

Cut back to the top of the ship –

Caedus is now standing on the hull, his hands outstretched.

We can see some of the remaining troop transports starting to be lifted off the ground, but before anything happens, we see green turbo lasers hit the hull of the ship, close to hitting Caedus.

Caedus drops the ships and pulls out his lightsaber, once again deflecting some of the bolts away.

All of a sudden, the TIEs are being shot at from off camera with blue turbo lasers.

Following that explosion, the Millennium falcon comes in, destroying another TIE fighter.

INT – Falcon on Jakku – Day

Han hits one of the buttons on the console

POE! We're here to help.

Soon after that, X-Wings fly in and Resistance transports land on the surface.

Resistance troops come rushing out of the transports, firing across at the remaining storm troopers.

We then go to one of the squadrons of X-Wings, Led by Wedge Antillies.

Red Squadron take out the transports, Blue and Green squadrons, form up on me, we are going for the fighter groups.

The battle ensues.

We get to see Poe and Han 'racing' to take out troops, fighters, etc.

Caedus is on the ground again, helping the resistance ground troops take out the last of the storm troopers.

We see fighters getting destroyed and troopers dying from both perspectives.

Overall, the First Order forces are being overwhelmed.

Both the Falcon and the random ship Poe was flying land.

We see that the remaining troopers who have surrendered are being taken prisoner by the Resistance forces.

The ramp into the Falcon lowers and Han and Chewbacca pop out.

Soon after, Poe come out of his ship.

Han pulls out a commlink.

han

Wedge make sure to take a squadron and scout the area. We don't need any surprises coming up

Understood General. Red and Blue Squadron, on me.

Han and Chewie walk towards Poe.

han

It turns out your mission was a success. Leia got the information and they are working on unlocking it now.

A sense of relief wipes over Poe's face

POe

Thankfully. I wasn't sure if bB-8 was going to be able to make it back to the base.

han

It was only thanks to Jaina that we got the info.

Caedus enters from the side.

Caedus

Jaina?

Han turns around, surprised to see his nephew.

han

Kayden? I can't believe it. I never through I'd see you again.

Caedus/ kayden

Thanks for the warm welcome. Uncle.

Poe has a confused look on his face in the background. He is trying to out the pieces together.

Han

You know she's not going to want to see you right. She might even want to kill you.

Caedus/ kayden

Oh, I'm well aware.

A first order star destroyer enters orbit, Kayden and Han notice.

Caedus/ kayden

I'd say we should leave. Let's finish this talk on the ship.

Han looks like he agrees. They all start to board the ship, Han heading up the rear.

Han pauses before he gets on.

han

(to the transports) hey! Load em up! They're on their way in for another attack and I don't want to be here to see it.

The transports begin to take off.

Han pulls out a commlink again

han

Wedge, were leaving. Set your coordinates for home base. We'll see you there.

Han boards the Falcon and the boarding ramp retracts.

The falcons take off and follows the troop transports. The fighter groups follow not too far behind.

Space – Jakku – Day

We see the ships exiting the atmosphere and preparing to leave the system.

The ships enter hyperspace one at a time, but fairly quickly.

EXT. Jakku battle ground – day

Kylo Ren's transport is landing at the battle ground.

The village and market look decimated.

As the transport touches down, the ramp opens up. It is just Kylo and his knights.

Search the village. Kill and survivors who are non-compliant.

Understood Lord Ren.

The knights split up to search the village.

Kylo and his red Sith troopers search the reminets of the battle.

The walk across the scorched sand until they suddenly stop.

We cut to the ground and see Caedus' helmet that he dropped.

Kylo bends over and grabs the helmet.

Through his own mask, he looks at his fallen companions' helmet.

He hands the helmet to one of his troopers.

He turns around and heads back to his transport. He pulls out his commlink

(to his knights) Return to the ship, we are leaving for Mustafar.

The knights return to the transport and we see them take off along with the TIE fighter escort.

Caedus and Chewbacca are playing 'space chess'

Poe is leaning against one of the walls and he still looks confused/ surprised.

Han exits the cockpit of the Falcon and congregates with everyone else.

han

Everything seems to be in order. The top gun seems to be jammed, but we can fix that once we get back home.

Caedus/ kayden.

So how did you all find us. I don't remember either of us sending any transmissions.

chewbacca

** makes noise **

Caedus/ kayden

Spies Huh. Not too bad old man.

Han goes to open a hatch in the floorboards to do some maintenance on the falcon.

Poe

So, Kayden, let me understand this, why does Jaina want to kill you? I thought the Jedi were peaceful.

Caedus

They are. … I was like that too at one point in my life. But things have changed. Years ago, Jaina and I, along with out cousin and other force sensitives trained on Dantooine with our father, Luke Skywalker. Jaina, Ben and I were the best of the class. Jaina and I were especially praised four our abilities. Ben however, he was always the one that Luke criticized. Luke felt that Ben did not show as much promise as we did. I could sense it. The tide in the force was changing. I had sensed the dark side calling to him long before anyone else did.

Caedus/ Kayden stands up and circles the room. He stands against one of walls.

Caedus

Ben, he began to lose faith in the Jedi order, he lost hope in himself. Honestly, I even started to lose faith in the order. The dark side is full of temptation, an easy way to achieve power. I remember the day that he left.

We start to see a flash back of those events.

Ext. Dantooine – Afternoon/ Dusk

Luke Skywalker in his Jedi robes stands at the top of the temple steps.

Jaina, Kayden and Ben were all sparring, and we are viewing the end of the battle.

Jaina force pushes the two away from her, but Kayden quickly stands up to go at her again.

Kayden and Jaina trade blows with one another.

Luke looks in awe, amazed of the power of his children.

luke

Kayden, Jaina, well done you two. You seem to be honing your abilities. You two will be the keys to our new order, responsible for the future of the force.

We cut to Ben; his face is overcome with rage. He is truly beginning to embrace the dark side in its full power.

He stands up and force chokes Jaina and Kayden. For a moment, his eyes turn yellow, visually showing his strength.

ben

Enough! The Jedi are ruined. Ancient History. I refuse to be denied by you or anyone else.

Luke ignites his lightsaber and points it towards Ben.

Luke

ENOUGH! Drop them, Now.

Ben has a relapse. He recognizes his wrong. His eyes turn back to normal and he releases Jaina and Kayden to the ground.

They fall and then try and recover. Ben then falls to the ground, unconscious.

INT – falcon – hyperspace

Han is coming up from the hatch we was working in.

kayden

That's when Luke lost faith in Ben. Many of us did. I refused to give up. I believed that if someone like Darth Vader could be redeemed, then I could bring him back. I realize now I was wrong. Later that night, Luke went into out quarters. He ignited his lightsaber, standing tall over Ben. I woke up first. What I saw that night only confirmed my doubt in the Jedi order.

Kayden turns around, he faced Han and looked him in the eyes. He is only confirming Han's assumptions.

Han looks down, feeling as if he has lost not only a child, but a friend.

Kayden

Ben rolled over and locked eyes with Luke. Luke realized the mistake he was making, but at that point it was too late. Ben grabbed his saber ignited it, and then pushed Luke out of the room and over the balcony. By the time Luke got back inside, Ben had slaughtered those who did not want to join him. I went with him, believing that just maybe, the Jedi had fallen too far to come back from. From that point forward, Ben Solo, became Kylo Ren, and the rest is history.

Han is now standing up out of the hatch and he covers it back up. He is preparing to go back to the cockpit, but he suddenly stops.

han

That's they day that I lost everything. My best friend, my lover, and my son.

Han presses a button to open the door.

han

(FROM THE COCKPIT) – We're coming out of Hyperspace. Prepare yourself.

WIPE TO:

INT. Jaina's Quarters – Night

We see Jaina's face, eyes closed. There is a faint blue glow shining on her face. She is opening the Jedi holocron.

The camera cuts to show the whole room. Leia is standing behind Jaina.

Good Jaina. Concentrate … focus your energy and your mind. View it in your head.

We zoom in on the Holocron, the ends are starting to turn, slowly but surely.

leia

Good. Keep your focus. Embrace the force.

The holocron is continuing to open, but it is moving faster.

INT – Kylo Ren's meditation chamber – DAY

We see Kylo ren is meditating. His form is mimicking the one that Jaina is in.

** for this scene, we will be cutting back and forth from Jaina and Kylo, showing that they are establishing a connection in the force.**

We cut back to Jaina, the holocron is still opening even further and the light is growing larger.

We cut back to Kylo Ren.

Cut back to Jaina, the holocron ends are now separated and is almost fully open

We cut back to Kylo Ren again, this time zoomed in on his face.

We cut back to Jaina and the holcron is full open.

leia

Good, Now, focus, what do you want to see. Concentrate through the force.

Jaina

A map …

We cut back to Kylo ren, still zoomed in on his face.

Jaina

I want the map, the children of the force.

The camera changes for a wider view. The holocron is fully open. Jaina is still focusing, eyes closed.

We cut to Kylo one last time from a wider view. We then zoom into his face again.

Kylo

Show Me

We cut back to Jaina. We hear an echo from Kylo's voice and then Jaina falls to the floor. The holocron falls afterwards, but it is still showing the map.

Jaina on the ground looks up at Leia.

jaina

It was him. I saw Ben.

Jaina stands up with help from Leia.

jaina

He wanted the map. I don't know how, but he saw inside of me. I think he knows where some of the kids are.

Leia now feels concerned about the fate of their mission

Leia

Well then, we will have to act fast. Now that we have the list, I'll start assembling the groups.

Leia pulls out a holodisk

leia

Admiral Ackbar, begin to prepare ships. Have Han lead one of them. And tell him to see me when he gets in please.

ackbar

Princess, General Solo is back, and I think you're going to want to see what he brought with him.

Leia is concerned about what Han may have brought with him.

Jaina and Leia walk out of the quarters.

EXT. Resistance HQ. – Night

The bases lights are burning bright, luminating the area.

The falcon is sitting prominently in the middle of the base.

Han is leaning against one of the landing gears, with Chewbacca next to him. They are talking to Admiral Ackbar and one of the other command officers.

Jaina and Leia are overlooking everything from the Balcony.

Jaina

I wonder what Han brought back with him.

I've got a bd feeling about this.

Leia is actively looking because she senses something. She then see's Kayden walking out of the Falcon and knows that Jaina will not like it.

Jaina is still in a joking mood looking at Leia. She takes a look at where Leia is looking and her expression changes again.

Jaina becomes overcome with anger and frustration.

The camera changes to see Han and Ackbar walking up the step to go into the Command center, with Kayden close behind.

In the background, we see Jaina landing acrobatically behind Kayden.

Why. Why are you here?

Jaina is speaking with a lot of pain in her voice.

The camera zooms in on her, and she has a tear rolling down her face. She ignites her lightsabers.

Kayden, still with his back to her, ignites his blood red lightsaber, but only one end of the hilt.

Jaina. This isn't necessary. Let me talk to you. You are still my sister, even if we don't agree.

Kayden turns around to face his sister that he hasn't seen in years.

kayden

I'm not going to kill you.

jaina

I wish I could say the same

kayden

That … is not the Jedi way

We see Leia, still on the balcony where they exited. She is worried that Jaina could turn to the dark side of the force as well.

Jaina is clearly the aggressor in the fight, Kayden is on the defense the entire time.

Jaina charges towards Kayden quickly. She takes her lightsabers and takes two swings, one at his head and one at his leg.

As she swings for his leg, Kayden activates the bottom half of his saber, blocking the attack. Kayden then uses his free hand and force pushes her away.

Jaina digs her sabers into the ground to slow her down.

She bounces off of the wall behind her and thrusts herself into her brother. Kayden throws her in the other direction, and she rolls.

Jaina gets back up. She and Kayden continue to swing at one another, Kayden still on the defensive. Eventually, Kayden is able to knock her sabers out of her hands one at a time. Kayden force pushes her to the ground.

Jaina tries to call to her lightsabers but, before she gets the chance, an end of one of Kayden's sabers is at her throat and she abruptly pauses.

Kayden turns off his sabers and walks away. Jaina gets up, still full of emotion. In front of a crowd that has formed around the two, Jaina uses the force and pushes Kayden against the Falcon. She calls to one of her sabers and ignites it, holding it too his neck.

Jaina is still overcome with emotion

EXT. Hux's office - Night

We are in Hux's office on the Finalizer.

There are all black 'death troopers' standing outside of his office door.

We cut to see Kylo and his red Sith troopers walking down the hallway towards Hux's office.

They arrive at the office.

The Sith troopers move out of the way and the one on the left pulls out a commlink.

INT. Hux's Office – Night

Hux is typing at a holo computer at his desk. Which is behind a holotable. On the holotable is a map of the Outer Rim. Some of the planets are highlighted.

Kylo stands across from Hux at his desk.

Kylo takes out a holodisk which has the information of the location of the force sensitive children.

Kylo activates the disk, and it displays a list of planets across the galaxy that hold force sensitive children and those planets are highlighted yellow.

Kylo also take off his hemlet and drops it on the desk.

This is a list of planets. They contain the galaxy's force sensitive children. They will be used for … our future.

Hux is supriosed and skeptical. He walks around and turns off his holo table.

How did you aquire this? Did we not lose out on your ancient Jedi Holo-thing?

Kylo clenches his fist while he says the next line

Kylo turns to leave and he grabs his helmet.

I need four fleets assembled immediately. Fully equipped with battalions loaded.

Hux's face become annoyed.

Four fleets!? How in the galaxy do you expect me to have four fleets of star destroyers equipped? You ask the impossible. Our forces are depleted after your stunt on Jakku.

Kylo stops in his tracks.

That is your problem. I expect it done immediately.

Ren ignites his lightsaber, trying to threaten Hux.

Hux stands in fear.

Then we seem to be on the same page.

Kylo turns off the lightsaber and leaves.

Scene change | The door to Hux's office closes and we change to Resistance HQ

All of the resistance forces are loaded in the war room.

On the holotable, there is the identical map of the one that Kylo ren had.

Kayden is standing in the corner. He is clearly separated from the group.

These hold the locations of force sensitive children around the galaxy. There are five key planets that we will be going to. They are spread out around the galaxy.

The crowd is whispering. Some of them are clearly skeptical of this mission.

One of the fighter pilots stands up.

Force sensitive? We have a full blown jedi and haven't done anything with her. What are these children supposed to do anyways?

Much of the crowd starts to agree with them.

Leia starts to get worried as she no longer has any support

The crowd begins to die down.

You may be right. You do have a Jedi. I haven't done much, but that changes today. Today, we stand up to the evils of the galaxy. My Father defeated two of the most powerful beings in galactic history. I'm here to do the same.

Kayden steps out from the shadow.

The crowd is in shock that a fallen jedi is willing to help.

Leia's face changes to happiness and relief.

Very well then. We are deploying groups to Lothal, Naboo, Rodia and Tatooine. All forces will regroup at Dantooine before returing to Home Base.

The crowd is now finally getting pumped up. They are excited to be active again.

The squadron to Lothal will be led by Commander Poe Dameron. Han, you will be going to Naboo. You too chewie. Admiral Holdo and I will go to Rodia, and the group to Tatooine will be led by –

Kayden has a moment to contemplate and then he too steps forward.

Jaina turns to look at him, her face wiped with disgust.

Then it's settled. Admiral Ackbar, you will stay here to coordinate any reinforcements. Everyone to your stations and your ships. I want all fighter loaded and aboard your destroyers just in case. 3 squads of troops with every detachment. You have your orders, and may the force be with you.

Everyone begins to rush out of the room.

INT – KYLOs CHAMBER – DAY

We see Kylo Ren kneeling before his grandfather Vader

How? How did you gain your power? Show me. Show me what the force can do Grandfather.

There is a ring, signaling he has an incoming transmission.

Sith trooper

Lord Ren, you have an incoming transmission coming from the Supreme General

Ren stands up and leaves the shrine room, the door closing behind him.

He approaches his desk and turns on the holo transmission.

What is it General?

I have prepared the first fleet. We are preparing to send it to Naboo under command of Captain Ardin.

kylo ren

Ardin? Is he not responsible for the loss of our prisoner?

hux

I have full confidence in his abilities.

kylo ren

Very well then General. His failure shall reflect on you. I will be sending two of my knights to accompany him.

Hux has an annoyed and frustrated look on his face.

Kylo ren shuts off the transmission. He then presses another button and two of the knights show up on the hologram.

You two will be accompanying the group going to Naboo. Recover the child. Kill all who resist. You will have a battalion of troopers sent with you.

Understood Master.

Space – Fleet to Naboo over Mustafar – Day.

The fleet is comprised of a Resurgent class (The Legacy), two Medium Cruisers (The Breaker and the Orion) and one light Cruiser (The Vindicator).

INT. The Legacy – Day

Captain Ardin is entering the bridge with a data pad in hand. There is a CMDR. And LT. standing with him.

Commander. Have the fleet prepared to make the jump to Naboo. LT. have all ground forces prepared for an immediate departure once we arrive.

The Commander and the LT. walk away. The door to the bridge opens with, with two of the Knights of Ren walking on the bridge.

I was unaware that you all would be joining us on the mission.

Knight #2

We will be leading the ground assault. We have specific orders from Lord Ren.

Very well then. Your forces are being prepared as we speak.

Ardin looks down to a bridge officer

Execute the jump to hyperspace when ready.

SPACE. Naboo Feet

We see the fleet from the exterior jumping into hyperspace.

EXT. Resistance HQ.

We see fighters being prepared, and there are corvettes in the back of the compound flying to get in orbit. Behind the compound, we see Nebula Class SDs (there are more in orbit).

We now switch to transports being loaded with officers heading to orbit.

In front of those transports is the command crew (Leia, Han, Jaina, Kayden, Poe, Holdo, Chewie, and Ackbar.

Now we are in the conversation.

Admiral Ackbar is handing everyone data pads.

These data pads hold coordinates to the children. Find them, take them to the Jedi Temple on Dantooine. They will be safe there.

Transports behind them are starting to leave to take off for the ships in orbit.

han

Alright Chewie let's get going before they leave without us.

Han and Chewbacca are walking towards the falcon and han pulls out a communicator.

han

Commander have the squadron ready to depart for Naboo. Make sure all systems are checked. We're preparing to leave the surface now.

Han and chewie get on the falcon and after a few seconds, they take off.

We look back at the group and Ackbar is heading for the HQ.

Holdo is getting on the transport for her and Leia.

Poe also gets in his X-Wing, BB-8 following close behind.

Leia looks at Jaina and Kayden. We see Poe's X-Wing fly off in the background.

Trust one another. Trust in the force and it will guide you in the right direction.

Leia starts to walk away towards her transport. She stops and turns back towards them.

May the force be with you. Always.

Leia gets on the transport and the ramp draws back. The transport lifts off and heads towards their ship.

kayden

Well, we have a mission. We shall get going.

Jaina is not even facing her brother. She is walking towards their transport.

It seems that we shall.

They both load on the transport and the ramp retracts. They then take off and head to orbit. R2D2 is with them.

We see C3PO looking at the ships go off into space, but then he walks back to HQ.

SPACE – Res. Fleets – Day

We see the fleets prepared to jump into hyperspace.

**SQUAD 1** Poe's fleet: His X-Wing, along with 3 others. There are also 2 CR-90 corvettes and a Hammerhead corvette

**SQUAD 2** Han's fleet: He and Chewbacca are in the Falcon. Han also has a Mon-calamari Cruiser and one CR-90 Corvette.

**SQUAD 3** Leia's Fleet: She and Holdo are on a Mon-calamari Cruiser and two hammerhead Corvettes.

**SQUAD 4** Jaina and Kayden's fleet: Their lead ship is a Nebulon-B frigate, along with two CR-90 Corvettes and an A-Wing escort.

INT. Poe's X-wing - Day

Behind Poe, we can see 3 other X-wings with blue markings.

EXT. Poe's fleet – Day

We see Poe's fleet jump off into Hyperspace.

INT. Falcon – Day

Commander prepare to make the jump to Naboo.

EXT. Han's fleet – Day

The fleet makes it's jump into hyperspace.

INT. Leia's Cruiser Bridge.

Leia

Jaina, Kayden. Don't get into too much trouble. May the force be with you.

Leia turns around to see Holdo walking up behind her.

Lt. if all systems are prepped and ready, make the jump.

EXT. Leia's fleet – Day

Their ships make the jump.

INT. Nebulon B – Day

We see Kayden walking up to the bridge overview point. Jaina is looking onto space, admiring the landscape.

kayden

Just like old times huh?

Jaina is still looking off into the distance.

jaina

That's what I'm afraid of.

The ship makes the jump into Hyperspace.

EXT. Outskirts of the Naboo capital – Night

The first order fleet has arrived, with the ships in the planet's atmosphere.

We see many transports landing on the surface.

All the transports land and open their bay doors.

The troopers walk out of the left and right transports, and the two knights along with four death troopers come out of the middle.

The Knights & death troopers lead the charge, while the regular troopers create a formation.

They begin to march on the city center.

As they enter the city, a small group of soldiers exits and capital building.

They run down the steps and try to rush the First Order troops. The death troopers immediately fire on the troopers.

Now the main doors open and the Queen and her guard exit.

Naboo queen

What is the explanation of this? We have declared ourselves a neutral system. I order you to leave at once.

knight #1

That is not an option you have my lady.

The knight force pulls the queen towards him. The Naboo Guards aim their weapons and the death troopers kill them immediately.

Knight #1

I believe you have some information for me. Please, let's make this easy. Where is the child?

The knight is ominous, rubbing his hand across the Queens forehead.

The Queen pushes the knight off of her.

Naboo Queen

I have nothing for you.

The queen turns her back to the army.

knight #1

Very well then. You have chosen your fate.

The other knight pulls out his light axe and ignites it. we see him swing it in the queen's direction.

We then see the torso of the queen fall (we don't see him physically cut her).

the knights turn around.

Find the child. Bring it to me.

We see the various squadrons of troopers dispurse and we begin to see them break into homes and shoot civilians. They also start to burn down homes.

Some of the troopers begin to take prisoners.

We then see the Knights and their death trooper walking out of the city center. We can still see the massacring of the city happening to their sides.

INT. Resurgence Class Bridge. – Night

Captain Ardin is reading a data pad as he walks onto the bridge.

He overlooks the decimated city from the bridge. He can also see prisoners being loaded onto transports flying back to the ships.

Lt. what is the stats of our troops

Bridge officer #2

Captain, the forces have been recalled. Prisoners loaded onto transports heading back to the ship.

Very well then. Prepare the hyperspace jump for Mustafar. We will leave within the next rotation.

The Knights enter the bridge and stand behind the captain.

All of our troops have been recalled and they are being loaded back on the ship. We will be departing soon.

knight #2

Excellent Captain. Before we leave, deploy a squadron of bombers. The target is capital city. Make sure they hit the capital building.

Captain ardin has a confused face.

captain

That … was not in my orders from General Hux. I was only instructed to …

knight #1

I understand that captain, but these are your new orders.

captain ardin

Very well then.

The captain walks forward to the NAV console and activates the communication system.

captain ardin

Bomber groups two and four, prepare for deployment. Your target is the city center. Leave no survivors.

The captain steps back in line with the knights.

We see the fighters flying out towards the city and we can see them start to bomb the city.

We turn back on the three.

Behind them, the bridge doors open, and two death troopers enter.

The knights turn around.

We now see that there is a little girl with the troopers.

One of the knights lowers and gets on one knee.

He removes his helmet and he grabs the little girls chin and tilts it towards him.

The girl is clearly crying.

Don't cry little girl. You have nothing to fear. You are in safe hands. My master will be very pleased to see you.

WIPE:

SPACE – Lothal – Day.

We see Poe's fleet exit hyperspace.

We see that Lothal is under blockade from First Order ships.

Okay everyone. Prepare to activate your signature cloaking.

We go through POE's x-wing, along with one of the corvettes and see them press a button.

On the Corvette, there is a screen that shows an external layout of the ship.

A yellow line wipe over the outline and change it to a standard cargo transport.

INT. Corvette

There is a flashing light on the console. They are being hailed.

One of the officers presses the button underneath and the flashing ceases.

First order Officer

Transport C7-Niner, transmit you and your escorts clearance codes or you will be fired upon.

bridge officer

Captain, this is transport C7-niner. Transmitting clearance codes now.

The captain of the ship presses a button to signify transmission.

The captain holds a nervous expression.

We wait a few seconds.

first order officer

Transport C7-niner, you may proceed to the landing zone for inspection.

EXT. Poe's fleet

The ships zoom past the first order fleet.

EXT. Lothal Outskirts – Day.

We see Poe and his fleet landing outside of the city, not at the landing zone.

Poe gets out of his X-wing, along with the other fighter pilots. A few troops exit the Corvettes.

Poe and his troops run towards the city.

INT. First Order Destroyer – Day

Captain, I have just received word that neither the cargo transport C7-niner or its escort craft have made it to the landing zone for inspection.

first order officer

Lord Ren's predictions have fallen perfectly in place. Alert Commander Slav. Have him deploy the garrison … quietly. I don't want those fugitives alerted.

bridge officer

Understood sir. I will contact the commander immediately.

EXT. City center – Day

Poe and his troops have their back against one of the buildings. There are posters and propaganda surrounding the city, urging the citizens to join the First Order military.

pa system

It is your duty. Serve you Supreme Leader. Serve your People, Join the First Order.

We can see part of one of the small roads. There is a platoon of First Order storm troopers walking down the road.

Poe take out a holomap and it shows the groups location and tells them the directions to the child.

Poe signals his forces on the other side of the road that there are troopers coming.

Poe then gives another signal (1, 2, 3). He then closes his fist to signify the attack.

The troops rush out from the side of the building and shoot at the storm troopers.

They all walk out on the street.

poe

Alright. Our target is right around the corner.

Poe turns around to face the group

poe

Kay, go prep the speeders just in case. The First Order might notice a missing squadron.

Kay runs off back towards where they came from.

poe

Everyone else, with me.

Poe and his troopers start to rush down the back roads, killing off any first order troopers that they may encounter.

poe

Hey, let's get moving. We don't have much time before they figure out were here!

Eventually they make it to the main road.

Poe sticks his hounds out to the side, signifying them to slow down.

poe

Blasters away.

They put their blasters away.

The main road is full of first order troopers, too many to take on at once.

Poe pulls out the holomap one more time to take a look.

The map shows that they are just a few houses down.

poe

Just a few houses down.

Poe puts the map away.

The group starts to walk down the main road and stops in front of one of the houses/ apartment style buildings.

Poe opens the door and a few of them enter.

You two, stay out here. Alert me if anything happens.

INT. Child Home Door - Day

We see Poe and some of the troops outside of a door to one of the homes.

Poe knocks.

There is no answer.

Poe knocks again.

Still no answer.

Poe and another trooper pry open the door.

Everyone walks in and the door shuts behind them.

INT. Child home – Day

The lights are out, only the natural light is illuminating the room.

The group searches the home.

Poe is alone searching with his flashlight.

Poe enters the bathroom and hits one of the lights.

The light is flickering harshly and then it goes out.

Poe looks behind a door in the bathroom and sees a mother shaking with her child in her arm.

Are you one of them? I won't let you take him from me.

The mother is still shaking. She is obviously scared. Her child's face is shoved in the mother's body.

poe

Ma'am, we … need to talk.

EXT. First Order Military Base on Lothal – Day

First order TIE fighters are landing on the platform to the left.

There are squadrons of storm troopers re-entering the main base.

INT. Lothal military base – DAY

We see the Starship commander on a hologram speaking with the ground commander

Captain, are you sure of your theory? I'm sure that I would be alerted if there were a band of what – Rebels?

first order captain

Commander, I assure you of my theory.

As the commander is prepared to respond, we hear a ring coming from someone outside his door.

Enter

A LT. enters the room with a data pad.

Lothal LT.

Commander Slav, we have failed to get a response form squads 3, 4 and 7. I had group of troopers to investigate, and my troopers reported those squadrons … eliminated.

Commander Slav starts to believe the captain.

He looks back towards the captain hologram.

commander

Well then captain, your theory may have some credibility. LT., order squads five and six to the fugitives last known location. Order squadrons one, two and nine along with a tank escort to the main city center. Have them tear apart the city. I want every house, business, everything inspected. I will join you shortly.

Lothal LT.

Understood commander. I will deploy them immediately.

The LT. walks out and the door shuts behind him

The commander presses a button and the hologram goes off.

The commander sits back down and folds his hands. We zoom in on his eyes.

INT. Lothal Home – DAY

Poe is sitting across from the mother and her child.

Poe also has a few troopers sitting with him.

Ma'am, you and your child are in danger here. I can assure you that the First Order knows about your child. Our goal is to keep you all safe.

The mother is still obviously worried.

Mother

But what will happen to me? I'm no fighter.

poe

I assure you; you will be kept safe. We can relocate you and your family to a Republic world…

Mom is still worried but is thinking about it.

poe

… but you have to come with us now.

mom

Ok. We'll come with you.

poe

Great!

Poe pulls out his commlink

poe

Mark, status update. We're getting ready to leave.

There is no response

POE

Mark? Mark!

Mark turns on the commlink from his end.

Sir! You need to –

Mark was shot.

Now we can hear gun shots and tanks outside.

The first order is now starting to decimate the city.

Poe rushes towards the window and he can see building being ripped apart to find him and his troops.

Poe then looks down and see's storm troopers banging on the door.

Poe runs back towards the group. He rushes the mother and child and hurries them to grab their things.

We're leaving now. everybody get your stuff

Poe pulls out the commlink again

poe

KAY! Get those speeders ready and send me your corrindates. Have those ships prepared and ready. The first order is on their way.

Poe and everyone else runs out of the house before the first order can get in.

From inside the house, we can see them running out of the back across the landscape.

EXT. Tatooine – Day

A transports lands on the surface. Mos Eisley Space Port can be seen in the distance.

Kayden and Jaina both walk out of one of them, followed by a few troopers.

In another one, we see speeders being unloaded.

In the last one, we see more troopers being unloaded.

kayden

So where is the child we're looking for.

jaina

You are a force user last time I remember. How about you use it.

Jaina starts to feel through the force to locate the child. She is having trouble focusing, but is getting close

kayden

The child is 4 clicks west. Alright everyone, let's get going. Load up on the speeders.

The resistance troops are still hesitant to listen to Kayden

Jaina notices this

jaina

You heard him, load up and get going. We'll be right behind you.

Everyone starts to prep the speeders, some of them even starting to head off.

Jaina looks back at Kayden.

jaina

How did you figure that out? I couldn't feel anything through the force.

kayden

I didn't need the force.

Kayden pulls out the holo map/ data pad that Ackbar gave them. He has a smug look on his face

Jaina rolls her eyes.

kayden

We should get going.

Kayden and Jaina load up on the speeders and follow the troopers who have already left.

EXT. Naboo City Center - Afternoon

We see the Falcon landing on Naboo.

A few seconds later, Han and Chewbacca get out of the falcon and stare at the destroyed city in awe.

Han and Chewbacca start to walk towards the city.

Han bends over and swipes his finger across the ash.

He stands up with his fingers now black like coal.

Its fresh.

INT. Naboo Childs Home – Afternoon

We see the door to the childs home from the inside. The house is pitch black on the inside

All of a sudden, we see Chewbacca prying open the door and the natural light illuminates the room.

Han pulls out a flashlight and his blaster. They search around until they come up on the child's dead family piled on the wall.

han

Hey Chewie. I've got a bad feeling about this.

EXT. tattoine Farm – Day

Kayden and Jaina have acquired their child and have her on the back of a speeder.

Jaina and Kayden are talking with the family while everyone else is prepared to leave

jaina

I assure you; your daughter will be taken care of. She will be trained to be a very powerful Jedi.

dad

How can you assure me of that? The Jedi are dead. Skywalker is gone.

jaina

One Skywalker is gone, two remain.

Jaina ignites her lightsaber Infront of the parents

The parents are in awe

mom

You? You are a skywalker?

jaina

The Jedi are not dead. And with children like yours, the Jedi will return to glory.

She turns off her saber.

The whole time, Kayden has a sad expression

The two walk away and start towards their speeders.

As they are getting on, Jaina looks over at her brother.

I sense conflict in you. Why is that?

Kayden is not looking at his sister now.

kayden

Maybe they should be.

jaina

What? Maybe who should be what?

kayden

The Jedi. Maybe it's time for the Jedi to die.

Kayden takes off on his speeder. Jaina follows right behind him.

jaina

What? How could you say something like that? Remember at one point, you were a Jedi. I am a Jedi. Our father is a Jedi.

kayden

I know that, but maybe –

faint voice of luke skywalker

Kayden

Only Kayden can hear his name being called.

It is not 100% clear if it is Luke's voice.

Kayden stops his speeder. He feels something in the force. Jaina stope hers but she is still ahead of Kayden.

Jaina turns towards her confused brother.

Kayden is looking off in the distance but there is nothing.

After a few seconds of not responding, Kayden takes off to wherever he was looking at.

Jaina is tempted to follow him

She is about to speed off with him, but one of the troopers stops her

Jaina! Let him go. We have a job to do.

jaina

I can't do that. Contact me when you are leaving. I'll send you our coordinates.

Jaina start to speed off behind him, but she is significantly farther behind.

INT. Leia's Cruiser – Night

Holdo is walking towards the bridge, talking with one of the bridge officers.

Make sure that when we arrive on Dantooine, we are prepped for restock

Holdo and the officer enter the bridge, with Leia standing overlooking Rodia.

Also, contact Mon Mothma. Leia and Ackbar wanted to speak with her.

officer

Understood admiral.

The bridge officer leaves and holdo joins leia at the top of the bridge.

So how did it go?

Well, we have recovered the child, with no incident. I've had all of our forces recalled and the fleet's coordinates are set for Dantooine.

Wonderful. Have you checked in on our other forces?

holdo

Well, I have attempted to contact all of them. Jaina's forces have reported a successful recovery of their child. When I last spoke with General Solo, his forces were just arriving in the system. Leia is worried. She grabs Holdo's hand and looks out onto the tapestry of stars.

Leia walks towards them and nods towards the mother.

The child looks up at Leia and shakes her head.

EXT. Lothal – Day

We see Poe and his squad on speeders, their ships not too far ahead.

Behind them is Commander Slav in a tank, with two other tanks next to him. There are also squadrons of storm troopers firing at them.

The resistance forces are firing back at them

As they approach the ships, one of the speeders gets shot at and explodes

They finally make it to the ships

Everyone gets into their ships (corvettes, X-wing, etc.)

Poe is in his cockpit and there is a fiery glow on his face.

Head for orbit. Make the Jump to dantooine.

Poe presses buttons on his nav console. He then grabs the steering and takes off.

On the last corvette, the mom and child are rushing on last. As the daughter gets on the mom is shot in the back by one of the troopers.

The child turns around.

She sees her mother lying, dead on the floor.

Out of anger and fear, the child out stretches her hands at the troops and many of them fall back.

One of the troopers on the ship grabs the child's arm and pulls them in.

We can see the mother being left on the surface.

All of the ships fly off into orbit, followed by some TIE Fighters.

SPACE. Lothal orbit – Day

The resistance forces are in retreat for Lothal. There are TIE fighters chasing them and some ships are firing turbo lasers.

The ships are able to make the jump to hyperspace to Dantooine.

INT. Kylo Ren's quarters on Mustafar – Night

Kylo Ren is in his quarters, his holomap is displayed.

Ren is circling the table

The two knights who went to Naboo enter, they are holding the childs arms.

The knights push the child towards ren, as he shuts off his map.

Ren approaches the child and stares into it's eyes.

I sense fear in you. Let's change that. We are friends. There is nothing to fear.

Ren stands up again and walks towards his knights

Well my lord, we did not have the forces to take the other children. Even on Lothal a small band of Republic forces were able to get through our blockade.

Lothal? We have military base and personnel on the surface. I told the captain to let them through. Those fugitives were supposed to lead us to the child.

Kylo ignites his saber for a moment, but then turns it off.

This could work for us. Contact General Hux. Tell him to fully prepare our forces for an assault on Dantooine.

Dantooine? Why would we waste our time there?

Because it is the location of one of the galaxy's last standing Jedi Temples. And do not forget, it was once OUR temple. They are not foolish enough to take them back to their base. They will want to train them secretly.

EXT. Luke's home on Tatooine – Day

Kayden pulls up next to his father's home on Tatooine.

Kayden slides down a small hill of sand.

He opens a door and examines the area.

He then enters a dark room

Kayden ignites his lightsaber to light up the room

Kayden turns around and his father is standing behind him.

Kayden has his aaber ignited and pointed at his father

We see Luke as we saw him earlier in the movie (younger) – this is the last image Kayden has of his father.

Kayden looks over and realizes nothing is there. He shakes his head and walks out with his sister

Come one the transport is waiting for us. We're needed on Dantooine now.

The transport is landing in front of the house/ farm and they load onto it.

SPACE – Mustafar – Night

There is a fleet assembled over mustafar. The finalizer is front and center, with four other Resurgence Class destoryers (two on each side). There are also light and medium cruisers on the sides.

There is a squadron of TIE fighters entering the resurgence.

INT. Resurgence hangar bay – Night

There is a battalion of storm troopers in the hangar bay on both side of Kylo Ren's transport.

Kylo's transport ramp lowers and standing in are the two Sith troopers along with Kylo and his Knights.

General Hux and his Death troopers are waiting for Kylo Ren.

The Sith troopers exit and move off to the side

Kylo then exits, the child in front of him. Then his knights exit.

Hux, have your guards take the child to a secure area. Don't lose sight of her

The death troopers grab the child and walk off with her.

We have our fleet established. I will be leading the battle and Captain Ardin will be in command of our interdictor cruiser.

Has the interdictor arrived yet?

Not yet my lord, but based off my last communication with it, it will be here very soon

kylo ren

Excellent general. Have the fleet make the jump once the interdictor arrives.

Of course, my lord. However, are you sure it is wise to leave Mustafar unguarded?

kylo ren

Mustafar will be fine. Their forces will not be interested in anything here. Their goal will be to protect those children.

INT. Finalizer bridge

We can see the rest of the fleet from the bridge of thr finalizer

Kylo and Hux look out of the viewing window.

They turn their head and they see the First Order Interdictor exit hyperspace and form upn with the fleet

Hux activates the commlink

Captain Ardin, are you and your forces prepared to make the assault?

Yes General. We are ready to make the jump to hyperspace.

Hux turns off the commlink and faces towards one of the bridge officers.

Hux nods towards the officer and they make the jump.

EXT. Jedi Temple on Dantooine - Dusk

We see the Jedi temple standing prominently, surrounded by lush green grass and the water surrounding the temple.

The sun is setting in the background, with a pink and orange color.

Outside of the temple, we see The Falcon and a transport (Leia's)

While we are looking, Poe's X-Wing and a transport land to the side of the base.

INT. Dantooine Jedi Temple – Dusk

Leia and Han are talking on the side while the Rodian child is wondering the temple.

Now we see Poe and his child enter the temple as they walk towards the two talking

General, Princess, sorry I'm late. The First Order's presence on Lothal has been greatly underestimated.

han

I know Jaina's group is on their way, but aren't we missing one?

The first order got there before we could. They destroyed the city. Burned straight to the ground.

EXT. Jedi Temple – Dusk

We can see the faint outline of the first order fleets entrering orbit of the planet

Poe and Han run out onto the balcony to see the fleet.

And I think that they are going to do the same here.

SPACE – over dantooine – Dusk

The first order fleet towers over the small cruisers and frigates of the resistance

INT. Finalizer Bridge – Dusk

Ren and Hux are standing in the same spot as before

The first order is tearing up their resistance forces, even though this is not a true fleet/ battle group.

EXT. Jedi Temple – Dusk

Poe, Han and Leia are seeing their forces being decimated.

BB-8 rolls over and Leia kneels next to him

bb-8, open a channel to admiral Ackbar.

BB-8 does a few beeps and boops. He also extends his long-range antenna.

Admiral. The first order has arrived, and they have engaged our forces. I need you to deploy the fleet to Dantooine immediately.

BB-8 beeps again

Dammit. We're jammed!

All we can do is hope that even a part of our transmission got through

INT. Reistance HQ – Night

Admiral Ackbar, along with a Mon Mothma hologram and other officers stand around a holotable.

They are all reacting to the transmission from leia, but only part of it got through.

The transmission ends

I move that we deploy our forces immediately.

The room disperses immediately.

We now take a look at the resistance forces leaving.

INT. Resistance fighter hangar – Night

There are red alert lights flashing throughout the whole building/ base now.

We see pilots fueling fighters and loading up.

There are a variety of fighters, from X-Wings, B-Wings, A-wings and a new Y-wing variant with an additional large engine in the back

EXT. Resistance HQ – night

The red alert lights are still flashing.

There are troops loading up in transports to go the capital ships.

Behind the main complex, we see Home One rising out of the background, with nebula class destroyers doing the same.

We also can see fighters flying by, going into orbit

SPACE – Fleet over D'Kar – Night

The main resistance fleet is prepared.

Home One is the flagship, but there are also Nebula class destroyers, CR-90's, two re-fitted arquintens, two Mon Calamari cruisers like the one Leia had and a new Star Hawk class Battleship

INT. Home One – Night

Admiral Ackbar spins around in his chair and faces towards the stars.

All ships prepare for Hyperspace. Set coordinates for Dantooine.

The ships in front of Home One blast off, followed by home one

We are inside the ship as it makes the jump to Dantooine.

Space. Dantooine Fight – Night

We still see the first order fleet decimating the small band of resistance forces.

Holdo's cruiser is the last one standing, even though it is heavily damaged.

INT. Holdo's Cruiser – Night

The red alert signals are firing all throughout the ship.

Admiral, we have hull breaches in the hangar bay, as well as levels 3 and 4.

Holdo is defeated

Holdo pauses to think for a minute.

Holdo turns back to see the TIE fighters getting ready to make another run at their bridge

On a tactical officer's console, a red light starts to beep and make a noice

Admiral, we have several large ships entering the system

With a sliver of hope, holdo changes her facial expression

SPACE – Battle over Dantooine – Night

All of a sudden, the Resistance fleet exits hyperspace.

The fleet begins to open fire on those TIE fighters attempting to bomb Holdo's cruiser.

INT. Home One Bridge

Ackbar is in his command seat.

All fighter craft, deploy.

SPACE/ EXT. Home One hangar bay – Night

We see squadrons of fighters exiting the hangar bay and rushing towards the First Order fleet.

We are seeing a side view, and with that, even more fighters are racing in from off screen.

INT. Home One bridge

Gold squadron target their engines. Red and blue squadrons knock those TIEs out of here.

SPACE. Battle over Dantooine – Night

The fighters are now in a dogfight.

The cruisers and destroyers are firing their Turbo lasers at the first order destroyers.

The fight was relatively balanced, both sides losing fighters, etc.

INT. Finalizer Bridge – Night

Well, if you are going to do it, I would suggest you land now.

Agreed. I trust that you can handle this battle.

Kylo ren leaves the bridge, followed by the knights and his Sith troopers.

Hux's death troopers come up behind him as Ren leaves.

Hux's face is one of disgust from ren

Move our light cruisers to the point position. Deploy five more fighter squadrons. Have our Medium cruisers protect our rear.

Hux walks towards a console and presses a button

Ardin, their fleet is here. Make the final jump into the system.

SPACE. Battle over Dantooine – Night

We can see the interdictor cruiser entering the system at the rear of the fleet.

We can also see transports of troopers, tanks etc. leaving the finalizer heading towards the surface.

We now go back to the resistance fleet.

In the back, Kayden and Jaina's forces finally arrive in the heat of battle.

They are now in a CR-90

INT. CR90 – Night

Commander get us to these coordinates on the surface. Hopefully they are still waiting for us.

EXT. Jedi Temple – Night

The battle in space is lighting up the night sky.

There are small explosions.

We see the CR90 landing on the surface outside of the temple.

Jaina, Kayden and the Child exit the corvette soon after.

INT. jedi Temple – Night

Jaina and Kayden are rushing into the temple.

Leia, Han and Poe are waiting for them.

What's going on here? How did they find us?

leia

That I'm not sure of, but I do know that they are here for them.

We see the children playing with each other in a corner, oblivious to their surroundings.

han

Well then, we need a plan.

Poe pulls out a Holodisk that displays a layout of the battle above

Han

Well then, Leia should take a transport back to the Defender (Star Hawk class battleship) and lead the battle in space with Ackabar.

Han looks as Leia for confirmation. She nods at him and then walks towards a transport.

han

And take the kids with you!

Leia and the children board the CR90 and head off into space.

han

Poe, we need to take out the interdictor. You and some squadrons of fighters should be able to take out the shields. Take come corvettes with you.

poe

Understood general.

Poe rushes off with BB-8 towards his X-Wing.

Han now looks up at Jaina and Kayden.

han

You two and I will stay here and lead the ground battle. I'll be in the falcon for Air support.

kayden

I'll stay here as a distraction for Ben. You know he'll be coming for the temple and he probably thinks the children are still here.

han

Alright. Then Jaina, you'll need to lead the ground forces.

Jaina is looking through the open roof of the temple and up at the destroyer

She senses something.

No. the last child. I can still sense her. She is not subdued to the dark side yet. I need to get on that Ship somehow … and I think I have an idea.

kayden

Are you sure you want to do this? It's going to be risky.

jaina

And what you're doing isn't?

kayden

Fair.

Jaina walks off and looks over at her brother and uncle before she goes.

Kayden is now overlooking her from the temple, seeing her board a transport.

As the transport leaves the surface and flies off, Kayden over looks the city.

In the distance, we see Resistance transports landing, with the first order battalion landing on the other end.

Han walks up behind Kayden and pats him on the back.

han

Good luck kid.

Han is walking to board the falcon.

kayden

Han. You know I don't want to, but if it comes to it, I will.

Han pauses.

han

I understand. I know that you will do your best.

Han walks towards the falcon and boards the ramp.

The ramp closes and Chewbacca and Han take off towards the city.

Kayden is staring at the falcon flying off.

kayden

May the force be with you.

Kayden turns around and walks back into the temple. The ancient stone doors close behind him.

SPACE – Battle over Dantooine – Night

The battle is starting to shift in the First orders favor with the interdictor cruiser entering the system.

The fighters are stillenaged and the ships are still firing.

Both sides have ships with hull breaches and fires, but still fifinr away.

INT. Home One – Night

Send all remaining power to the forward deflectors.

We see a hologram of Leia pop up next to him

ackbar

Princess, nice to see you again

leia

And the same to you admiral. I see you got our message. Admiral, how close are we to taking out that interdictor? We need to leave as soon as those civilians are evacuated.

I have deployed a squadron of X0wing and Y-Wings with commander Dameron as instructed by general solo. He also has an escort of two hammer head corvettes.

leia

Understood admiral.

INT. Leia's destroyer – night

Leia is overlooking the battlefield and Jaina enters behind.

jaina

Leia, the missing child … it's here.

leia

Here? Where?

jaina

It's abord Ren's ship. I felt it's presence while on Dantooine.

Leia Pauses for a second.

leia

I can feel it too. What do you suggest we do?

jaina

Well' I have a crazy idea. It involves jet packs and some space suits. I'll also need a transport

Leia can tell what she is going to do and gives her a smirk.

leia

Take whoever you can get to go with you. I'll have a ship ready for you.

Jaina nods before rushing out of the bridge.

EXT. Poe's attack – Night

Poe is leading his charge through the battlefield.

It's him, along with a X-wing squadron and a complement of Y-wing bombers. The two corvettes are in the back.

INT. Poe's cockpit

Alright, we aren't going to get too many shots at this to pick your targets wisely. I have an Idea for those hammerheads. Ready for some fun BB-8?

Bb8 beeps.

poe

Great. All wings form up on me.

EXT. Poe's squadron.

Poe and his fighters are maneuvering through the fire, doing flips and spins, taking out and TIEs in their path.

They eventually come up on the interdictor

poe

Y-Wing, deploy proto9n bombs and take out their shields. X-wings, get rid of those TIEs. Corvettes circle around and target their engines.

Poe's battle group start to execute the orders and do their jobs.

EXT. Dantooine City Center – Night

The lights are illuminating the city in the night.

We get a view of Kylo, his knights, a battalion of troopers and some tanks marching on the city. This is reminiscent of the shot of Anakin entering the Jedi Temple on ROTS

On the other end of the city, we see troopers loading up transports of civilians in distress. All of a sudden one of the transports get shot at and blows up from a shot from one of the tanks.

Kylo Ren is now engaged in the fight.

Ren ignites his saber and begins to slaughter the resistance forces.

The knights of ren follow suit.

The first order troops are also opening fire and raiding the city.

The First order is decimating the city like they did on Naboo and the resistance stands no chance.

Kylo finishes killing a squad of troopers and then he looks up.

He takes off his mask and, in his eyes,, we can see the reflection of the Jedi temple in the distance.

Some of his knights walk up behind him

Are we attacking the temple?

No. I will be going alone. Stay here. Make sure no one escapes.

Ren grabs a speeder and rushes off towards the temple.

A few seconds later, The Falcon then flies over head to go to the temple.

SPACE. Battle Over Dantooine – Night

We have the camera locked in on a corvette rushing towards the finalizer.

INT. Corvette – Night

In the airlock, we see Jaina, along with around 15 troopers equipped in space suits with jetpacks.

All right. We have one shot at this. Make the landing, I'll cut us inside and then we get the child.

Jaina turns around towards the exit.

She presses a button on the side and the airlock opens.

Jaina is the first one that jumps, and she is followed by the troopers soon after.

SPACE. Finalizer – Night

They are all racing towards the hull of the ship with their jet packs.

Right before they hit the surface, they turn their bodies to land upright.

Jaina proceeds to ignite her lightsabers and slice open a hole in the hull.

The troops all rush inside, Jaina is the last one in.

INT. Finalizer hallway – Night

We see Jaina put the piece she cut out back into the ceiling, and then one of the troopers reseals it with a welding tool.

Jaina and the troopers take off their suits and helmets and throw them on the ground.

They rush off down the hallway.

At one of the intersections, they are spotted and fired upon.

Jaina ignites her sabers and deflects the bolts back at the storm troopers, while the resistance troopers are also firing back, taking cover from the walls.

Once the storm troopers are taken out, they continue down the hallway.

INT. Finalizer Bridge – Night

The battle is still very much engaged outside in space, however now, it appears that the first order is starting to win.

Hux is still standing on the bridge, captain ardin is on a hologram next to him

Captain, what is the status of our interdictor cruiser?

ardin

General, our engines have been taken out buy their bombers, however the ship is still operational. No wait –

The transmission has been cut.

hux

Commander! Explain!

General, it appears that their fighters have been able to cut the cruisers communications array.

hux

Very well then. Try and re-establish communication with the cruiser. Have our light cruisers advance to engage the corvettes? Deploy more fighter squadrons to intercept any additional fighters who may be trying to engage the interdictor.

Another officer comes to Hux as he is walking off the viewing platform.

General, there have been reports on Deck two of intruders. There have been reports of a potential Jedi sighting.

Hux turns to the officer with a concerned look

Did you say jedi?

Yes general. What would you like me to do?

Let's send our visitors a little gift. They will be going after the child. Lord Ren will not be pleased if they escape with her. Deploy 2 squadrons of troopers to the cell block. Do not let them escape, under any circumstances,

The officer rushes over to a communications consoles to give those orders.

Hux is leaving the bridge and his death troopers standing on the side exit with him.

EXT. Jedi Temple – Night

The Temple is sitting in alone as we see an ariel view.

Kylo finally reaches it with his speeder.

Kylo gets off and walks across the bridge and he finally reaches the steps.

Kylo grabs his lightsaber from his hilt, preparing to ignite it.

As he is about to take his first step, the Falcon comes up and lands across the bridge.

We see Han get out and start running across the bridge.

han

BEN!

Kylo stops walking and he turns his head slightly.

Han finally reaches his son

han

Ben. What are you doing?

Han has pain in his voice clearly.

han

Ben! Look at me. Take off that mask, you don't need it.

Kylo ren turns around and faces his father. He takes his mask off and drops it to the floor

Why? Why are you here?

han

That's the question you need to ask yourself. Look at what you've done to yourself … to this galaxy.

Han touches one of the scars on Ben's face.

Kylo is having a moment of conflict.

Kylo looks past his father and to the city in the distance.

He is visibly in distress.

han

Give it to me. You don't need it anymore. Stop this nonsense.

Kylo is shaking like Kayden was in the beginning.

He is slowly giving his father the lightsaber.

Han take a hold of the saber, but Kylo is still holding onto it, still shaking.

han

You are no Vader.

Suddenly, Kylo changes his expression. Han has said something terribly wrong.

Kylo ignites his lightsaber, stabbing his father.

INT. Leia's Battleship – Night

Leia can feel Han's loss through the force. She needs to sit down.

One of the bridge officers helps her.

INT. Finalizer Hallway – Night

Jaina and the troops are fighting through squads of storm troopers.

Jaina is running on the wall and slicing the few remaining storm troopers in her way.

She gets off the wall and stops.

She gives the same look as Leia; she can feel Han's death through the force.

EXT. Jedi Temple - Night

You're right. I am no Vader. I will finish, what he started, and become more powerful than he or the Jedi could have possibly imagined.

Kylo turns off his saber.

Han for one last time touches his sons face and looks him in the eyes.

han

Ben. I … love … you

Kylo shoves his father's body into the water surrounding the temple.

Chewbacca sees his dead friend and fires one of the cannons at Kylo before taking off towards the city.

Kylo looks off at his father's ship in disgust

Kylo turns back to the temple and walks up the stairs.

He reaches the top and puts his hands against the stone walls of the temple, hindering him from entering.

Kylo ignites his cross guarded saber and jams it into the thick stone walls to cut open

INT. Jedi Temple – Night

We see Kayden meditating in the middle of the temple, above the Jedi Order symbol.

The room is lit from the moonlight through the roof of the temple

Kylo is finished cutting through the temple wall.

Kylo kicks the cutout down and it lands Infront of him

His dark figure enters through the hole

Kayden exits his meditation stage and lands down behind the Jedi order symbol

Kayden begins to walk the walls of the temple, rubbing his hands against them.

Power. That was never my reason for leaving. I saw the flaws of the Jedi order. I felt your pain, and in my arrogance, I thought if I went with you, that I could fix what both my father and I saw.

kylo

There is nothing here for you to fix. But I on the other hand, I can destroy the Jedi and the Skywalkers, starting with you.

Kylo, with his lightsaber still ignited raises it to above his head.

kayden

Very well then.

Kayden pulls his lightsaber from behind his back and ignites both ends.

He raises it above his head.

The two rush towards one another and lock blades, staring deep into the other's eyes.

INT. Finalizer hallway.

Jaina and the troopers can see the cell door that the child is being kept in.

The cell is heavily guarded by two death troopers and a squad of storm troopers.

Jaina takes a moment to contemplate then she closes her eyes.

We can see the regular storm troopers being lifted off the ground, slammed into the ceiling and then dropped back on the floor.

The death troopers are now on guard, drawing their blasters and looking for the Jedi.

Jaina steps around the corner, her shoto blade in her left hand, but not on.

The death troopers open fire, but Jaina, her eyes still closed deflects the blaster bolts away with the force.

She then ignites her saber and cuts their blasters in half.

She turns her sabers off and throws the troopers into the wall.

The resistance troopers come running around the corner, crowding behind Jaina

Jaina gets on her knees and uses the force to open the door to the cell block.

The little Naboo girl is crowched up against the wall, scared.

Jaina rushes down to the girl and bends over.

It's okay you're safe now. We're here to rescue you, but you have to come with us.

The girl nods and jumps on Jainas back. Jaina rushes out of the cell and pulls out a communicator. She calls for Poe

Poe! We've got the girl, the plan is a go!

INT. Poe's X-wing – Night

Got it!

Poe changes his commlink to talk to the hammer head corvettes.

Alright, I have an idea. It's worked before, but I've never seen it. you're going to have to trust me. Move to Point 12. You're going to ram that Star Destroyer.

INT. Jedi Temple – Night

Kayden and Kylo are still fighting.

We see them both now sliding across the floor away from one another.

kayden

Ben! Listen to me! You have to resist the dark side. I know it's tempting, but look at you

kylo

The light side never embraced me. You, Your sister, your father, not even my mother! You! You were the chosen child, son of the most legendary being in the galaxy. And Me! I was thrown away.

kayden

Ben. I'm sorry, but you still can change

kylo

It's too late for that.

Kylo rushes towards Kayden and they continue to trade strikes with one another.

Kylo is feeding into his anger and hatred for the Jedi and his family.

He begins to strike aggressively, fighting sloppy

Kayden sees this and tries to take advantage.

As Kylo tries to take a final strike, Kayden turns off his top blade, and swings under kylo to stike, butt hnott cut off his leg with his other blade.

Kylo bends overm grabbing his leg.

Kayden stands over him, his blade ignited ot his throat.

Kylo still in a rage wipes thee blood from his gloves onto his face and force pushes Kayden into the wall.

Kayden is caught off guard and his lightsaber turns off and falls out of his hand.

Kylo and Kayden stand up at the same time and the both try to force push one another at the same time

They are in a stale mate for seconds, both giving all that they have to one another.

The Jedi order symbol is in front of them, the moon over head lighting them up.

They are holding it for so long, that the floor of the temple begins to crack, and the temple rumbles.

Overhead, as the space battle ensues, a Collison from the hammer heads into one of the Star Destroyers, and then into the interdictor, causes an explosion.

The scene is spectacular.

Both Kylo and Kayden are caught in awe and look up, no longer using the force.

Kayden, with this moment of confusion, presses a button on his wrist commlink (he is signaling for the Falcon).

Kylo notices and tries to force push him again, but Kayden uses his acrobatics and jumps to the next level.

Kayden then jumps through the skylight in the roof.

The Falcon is almost there.

Kayden then looks down at Kylo Ren and shakes his head.

Kayden stretches out his hands, calling for his lightsaber and it comes to him

Kylo tries to jump to the roof in time, but Kayden is able to jump into the Falcon before he gets there.

Kylo is standing on the roof, looking at the falcon race towards the battle is space.

Kylo pulls out a commlink

SPACE. Battle over Dantooine – Night

We can see the interdictor cruiser now blown up and the resistance fleet can retreat.

Poe and his group fly by the camera and rush to re-join the rest of the fleet.

INT. Finalizer Hangar Bay – Night

Jaina, with the child still on her back, and the troopers are rushing towards a first Order Transport.

Let's go. we don't have a lot of time. Contact Leia, tell her we're in a stolen transport.

As they are boarding, Hux, two more death troopers and more storm troopers enter the hangar and fire on the shuttle

The shuttle is able to escape and race to join the fleet.

Hux is standing in disappointment as the shuttle escapes.

Hux walks out along with his troopers.

SPACE. Battle over Dantooine – Night

The resistance forces are in full retreat.

All of the ships are returning and facing their hyperspace route.

INT. Home One – Night

All craft, make the jump to Hyperspace.

From the inside of Home One, we see the ship make the jump.

INT. Finalizer Hangar Bay – Night

Kylo ren and his ground forces are returning.

We see the transports landing in the hangar bay.

Kylo and his knights exit, Ren with an obvious look of disgust on his face.

EXT. Resistance HQ – Dawn

The resistance base has everyone returning, the sun rising in the background.

Fighters are landing, people and troopers are exiting transports, etc.

We focus in on Leia exiting her transport. She is visbly distressed from the loss of Han.

Chewbacca and Kayden rush over to comfort her.

LEIA!

Jaina is rushing over to comfort her aunt. They embrace ona another tightly for a few moments.

The eventually separate.

Behind Jaina is the little girl that she saved from the Finalizer.

leia

Chewie, can you take them inside, Admiral Ackbar will be pleased to see them.

Chewie gives his noise/ growl

Chewbacca grabs the kid's hands and takes them into the HQ.

kayden

Leia, I think he's gone. I tried, but … the dark side has overcome his spirit.

Leia is visibly disappointed

Kayden nods as Leia walks back into the HQ.

Jaina walks up next to her brother.

I'm glad you're back

kayden

Glad to be back.

jaina

But that, that's going to have to change

Jaina is talking about his lightsaber and his clothes.

INT. Kylo Ren's Quarters on Mustafar – Day

Kylo is once again kneeling before his grandfather

Grandfather, I've failed you. I will fulfill your destiny.

In the background, we can hear a faint voice (it is Darth Bane, the ancient sith lord)

Ben – Ben – Ben – HAHAHAHAHA

Kylo turns around from his grandfather's shrine with his saber ignited, but nothing is there.

We Zoom in on Kylo's Eyes.
