I was laying on top of the roof of the academy. I was hiding in a place no one would ever dare look for me. I just wanted some alone time, and I would get it even if it killed me.
You're probably wondering why I wanted alone time, right?
Well, my sensei and I clashed earlier that morning regarding my tardiness to school, which happened just about every day. He insisted that it was making my grades drop, but I insisted that he get his head out of his ass and actually motivate me to pay attention. He sent me to the principal's office for my language, but I headed up to the roof instead.
I was just chillaxing, looking up at the clouds as I did so. Man, what wouldn't I give in order to have a more enthusiastic learning course?
No one answered my thoughts.
Yeah, nothing. Who cares if he has his head up his ass and doesn't teach for shit? I know most of this stuff anyway... I gave a sigh as I closed my eyes.
It had been two weeks since my dinner date with Sakumo, and the man had been avoiding me ever since he learned I was lowkey flirting with him.
Kakashi, who I didn't really see often, would still glare every time he spotted me. He still hasn't forgiven me for flirting with his father, and he certainly wasn't going to apologize for kicking me in the balls any time soon.
Why is my life so hard? I just want affection from hot men that aren't my shadow clones in disguise. I sighed dejectedly before opening my eyes. I nearly screamed at the sight of my sensei.
"What... do you think you're doing?" The man asked through grit teeth, his hands on his hips.
"Shit, man, you nearly gave me a fucking heart attack," I said as I clutched my chest.
"Tenrō, I sent you to the principal's office two hours ago," he continued as if I didn't say anything.
"Shouldn't you be teaching," I asked with an accusatory tone.
"It's lunch time," he said as veins became more prominent on his face.
"No wonder why I was hungry..." I mused.
The man's eye twitched. "I don't think you understand what I just said, Tenrō. You're going to the principal's office."
I rolled my eyes, and the man reached down for me. I allowed him to pick me up by my baggy shirt before dragging me behind him. I was content not to have to walk, being carried all the way to the damned principal's office.
The new principal was an ugly bastard. Like, you search up ugly bastard in the dictionary, and his picture will be there. His name was something I couldn't even be bothered with as I had already dubbed him as Fugly.
I was dragged into the man's office, sighing deeply as I prepared myself for a lecture. I was properly stood up and was directed to look at the principal. I kept myself from cringing at Fugly's horrific face.
My teacher bowed at the ugly bastard before taking his leave.
"You know, kid, you're in deep water," Fugly stated with his hands folded together. "Your grades are astronomically low in all areas, and you're a disruption to your fellow classmates."
"And the point is...?" I asked while motioning for him to hurry up.
"I'm thinking about dropping you from the program," the ugly bitch said while looking at me with the utmost annoyance.
I threw my head back and laughed. "Go ahead! Just know that there will be consequences..."
The man raised an eyebrow. "Consequences?"
"You drop me from the program, and I'm going right to the Hokage about your secret..." I said with a large grin.
His brow furrowed. "Secret?"
I nodded as I held my hands behind my back. "You're not upholding the rules according to the academy guidelines."
He snorted. "Prove it."
I pulled out a simple scroll from my robe. "Why, of course... You see, according to the academy guidelines created by Tobirama-sama when he made this place, you are supposed to uphold several rules. The first being: Everyone is treated as an equal."
"I do treat everyone equally," the man said as he sat back, crossing his fat arms over his body.
"Then why has class 1-A learning about the third taijutsu stance when we haven't even learned the first?" I demanded to know.
He scoffed, waving me off. "That's the same way we've been doing things for years."
"And you think Hogake-sama, student of the Tobirama-sama, would approve?" I asked sharply, causing the man to hesitate for a moment. "Exactly."
"He won't take the word of a child over mine," Fugly said dismissively.
"Maybe, but he will take a petition signed by no less than fifty students," I said with a nasty smirk.
"A petition?" He asked.
"Petition: a formal written request, typically one signed by many people, appealing to authority with respect to a particular cause," I clarified for the absolute moron. "And yes, it is for your removal from this office."
His eyes widened as anger came onto his face. "You're threatening me, boy?!"
"Oh, I haven't even begun to threaten you," I replied as I gave quite the sadistic smile. "I'm an Uchiha, which means my word will be taken quite seriously. So, if I say something shocking about you, people are bound to listen."
"Shocking?" Fugly repeated questioningly.
"Oh, yes..." I agreed as I nodded. "Like how you and that 12-year-old girl from 6-A are having a love affair."
The man looked stunned. "Wh-what are you...?"
"You think people wouldn't notice just because you're the principal?" I asked demeaningly. "You're even more idiotic than I expected."
"I - I don't know what you're talking about. All my relationships with the students are strictly professional," Fugly stated with a shaky tone.
"Oh?" I asked with a smirk. "That's not what you were saying a week ago when you last said - how did you put it? - 'my lovely little whore'."
Fugly shot out of his seat angrily. "Alright, you little demon, listen up. I refuse to be intimidated by you. You have no evidence whatsoever about what's going on between Fumiko and I-"
"Not me, no," I denied while shaking my head. I then gave a wide grin as I said, "But imagine all the evidence Fumiko has."
"She would never turn against me!" Fugly declared with a wide grin.
I gave a loud laugh as I looked at the ugly bastard. "You don't know, do you?!"
"Know what?!" Fugly demanded to know.
"Fumiko... is from a civilian family..." I stated, causing his brow to furrow. I felt the utmost glee as I declared, "Do you know what will happen to you should the Uchiha Police Force find out about your scandal?"
The ugly bastard frowned at me, but didn't answer.
"You get exiled from the village," I stated with sadistic glee.
His beady little eyes narrowed at me, his big hands clenching into fists.
"So, are you going to drop me from the program and force my hand, or are you going to be a good boy?" I asked tauntingly, putting my scroll back into my robe for safe keeping.
"I'll kill you," the man spat out.
"Go ahead and try it," I demanded as I held my arms out to the side.
Fugly grit his teeth.
"That's what I thought," I said as I turned my back to the man. "I'm going back to class."
Fugly began to run at me like some kind of overweight linebacker.
I gave a wide smirk as I closed my eyes. I then turned my head to look over my shoulder and opened my eyes just in time to see Fugly drop to the floor like a large sack of bricks. I snickered as Fugly was restrained by an ANBU member whose name I didn't know.
"You set me up!" Fugly yelled angrily.
"No, I didn't. You set yourself up to fall with your sick perversions," I retorted with a wide grin. "I just happened to be the one to report you. Of course, Fumiko's testimony helped getting the evidence needed to put you down."
"You - I'll never forgive you!" The dumbass declared.
"Go ahead! The suffering of people like you soothes me, like a lullaby," I explained with the utmost glee. I then turned around once more, more than happy to skip out of the office and to class 6-A. I stuck my head in, calling out in a sing-song tone of voice, "Fumiko-chan~!"
"Oh, Tenrō! Come here!" The civilian turned shinobi replied as she motioned me over.
I did so, skipping over and sat on her lap, causing her to rest her chin on the top of my head. "The principal's going to be fired!"
"Really?!" The girl next to Fumiko exclaimed in surprise.
I hummed in approval. "He hasn't been upholding the rules properly, so he's going to get sacked."
"Nice," the boy next to Fumiko replied with a grin. "I hated that guy. He has no talent as a shinobi at all."
"Right? Like, how did he ever get selected as the next principal?" I asked.
The three of us snickered as Fumiko's grip on me tightened.
"Thanks for getting him fired," Fumiko said softly. "I... I would have killed him otherwise."
"Thanks for waiting!" I chirped in reply, "It was a fun job, and I learned about how petitions worked."
Fumiko gave a small smile as she slipped something inside of my baggy shirt pocket.
I gave an internal chuckle at the payment. I sat with them and chatted for the rest of lunch about menial subjects. I then dismissed myself and returned to class while clasping the piece of jewelry from Fumiko's family's store.
My sensei was shocked to see me there, but didn't say anything since he obviously knew I would only be there if the principal had backed off.
I rested my head on my desk as I sat through the rest of class until it was dismissal time. I then yeeted myself out of the window and ran back to the Uchiha compound. I rushed inside of my apartment and jumped onto the couch. I grinned at the necklace that I pulled out of my pocket.
It was a chakra necklace, one that worked similarly to the First Hokage's necklace. I put it on under my baggy shirt and gave a small squeal. I had gotten my own chakra necklace, and all I had to do was wait a week to collect evidence!
Being a so-called demon had so many little benefits that most people wouldn't even think about.
There was a knock at my door, snapping me from my happy trance.
I pursed my lips as I got off my couch and walked over to the door. I cracked it open, only to see an ANBU member in a cloak. I opened my door the rest of the way and asked, "Need more evidence?"
"Not necessarily-"
I slammed the door shut at Orochimaru's voice. I took a seconds to compose myself before opening up, my eyes narrowed. "Alright, old man-"
"I'm 30," Orochimaru interrupted.
I had to do a double-take before remembering I was Kakashi's age, making Orochimaru younger than he was when the Naruto series officially began.
"I don't look that old," Orochimaru said bitterly as he looked down at me.
"Yeah, but, like, looks are deceiving," I stated before musing, "I bet you'll look thirty when you're fifty. I suppose it comes with being a snake that sheds their old skin."
"You know I'm a human, right?" Orochimaru asked.
"I mean, you look human, but are you really a human?" I asked skeptically, my eyes narrowed.
"Are you a human, or a demon in disguise?" Orochimaru questioned.
"Well, that's an easy one," I said with a scoff. "I'm obviously a demon."
Orochimaru seemed amused as he said, "I suppose I walked into that one."
I nodded in approval. "Now, what are you here for?"
"I'm curious as to how one... petitions for the removal of their superior, and you seem to have that down pat," the snake answered.
"Are you getting rid of Danzō?" I asked gleefully.
"No," Orochimaru denied, causing me to purse my lips. "I wish to get rid of the Hokage."
I looked hesitantly to my left, then my right. I made sure no one was videotaping my reaction as I looked up at Orochimaru. "As long as Danzō's not replacing him, I'll help."
Orochimaru had to do his own double-take, clearly not expecting that. He then motioned for me to step aside.
I did so, allowing Orochimaru into my apartment. I motioned to the couch and asked, "Would you like some tea?"
"I would prefer to get straight to business," the thirty-year-old replied curtly.
I accepted that as I sat down on the couch next to him, causing him to raise an eyebrow. I pulled a scroll from my baggy top and unrolled it on the coffee table in front of the couch.
Orochimaru slowly took his mask off, his eyes wide at the small writing. "This is..."
"A plan to overthrow the current Hokage, yes. Hiruzen is undoubtedly the worst Hokage in history," I stated as I allowed a scowl to come on my face.
"You don't know the half of it," Orochimaru said with a frown. "The way he's going, we're going to be involved in a war in a few years."
"Oh, I knew that," I said honestly. "It'll definitely snowball into the Third Shinobi War."
"Exactly," Orochimaru agreed before pausing. "How do you know about politics at your age?"
I gave a grin as I asked, "Would you believe me if I told you that Tenko often fucked those in the political scene?"
"And you eavesdropped?" Orochimaru questioned, causing me to shrug.
"The walls were super thin, and I had nothing better to do," I replied honestly.
Orochimaru hummed before quickly moving on. "What do you know about the situation in Takigakure?"
"Rebels are definitely going to be the cause of the war," I replied honestly.
Orochimaru nodded in approval. "And do you think Hiruzen is going to do a thing about rising tensions?"
I laughed. "Not a damn thing."
"Exactly. He needs to be replaced before things escalate," Orochimaru stated seriously.
"If you start now, you can gain followers from the shadows," I said as I pointed to Step One of Plan Sacking Sarutobi. "Those from the Intelligence Division are definitely going to be the first ones to take your side. I would go after Yamanaka Inosuke first, as he is the Captain."
"I was thinking the same thing. Then, it would spread to Torture and Interrogation-"
"No," I denied with a shake of my head. "It would spread to the rest of the Ino-Shika-Cho formation first and foremost. Inosuke is closer to them than anyone else in the Intelligence Division. He would undoubtedly tell the rest of his squad over a drink, and they, depending on their loyalty to Hiruzen, would either agree with Inosuke or convince him to back out of the petition."
Orochimaru seemed to look down at me in a whole new light. "You... really know your people..."
"Networking is important, especially when you know how incompetent your leader is," I said seriously before turning back to my scroll. "So, you also need to make sure that Chōmune and Shikagami are on board with the idea. You must subtly show them that the Hokage is a fool that needs to be replaced before going after Inosuke."
Orochimaru nodded, agreeing with that notion. "If I must do it that way, then I should go after the Naras after Inosuke."
I nodded in approval. "Because they are the ones most likely to go to the Hokage if they're against you, you must make sure they are on your side. Furthermore, they are excellent advisors, young and inexperienced or not. They are the ones who make decisions for the Hokage during the wars, not his current advisors."
Orochimaru sat back, holding his chin. "Are you insinuating that I should treat this as a war?"
I crossed my arms as I, too, sat back. "You're going to start a civil war if you aren't prepared properly. That much is certain..."
"Are you certain?" Orochimaru questioned.
"You don't know the loyalty of the Uchiha clan, do you?" I asked with the utmost amusement.
"After Madara, I'm not so certain that the clan is loyal to Konoha," Orochimaru said with a bit of sass.
"Let me tell you about the sharingan," I said as I pointed up at my black eye. "An Uchiha can activate the sharingan after the loss of someone precious."
"Yes, I know that much," Orochimaru stated with a bit of boredom.
"No, you really don't," I denied, causing Orochimaru to look at me with a slightly furrowed brow. "You see, an Uchiha has much more intense emotions than everyone else. We're never neutral in politics because we do feel one way or another, and we feel it intensely."
"So,you're implying that you Uchihas are… sensitive?" Orochimaru questioned.
"Every single one of us," I confirmed, "Now, let me explain one thing to you: If an Uchiha loves someone, it's one of the strongest bonds you will ever find in this world. If that Uchiha loses that loved one through murder, they will undoubtedly activate their sharingan. They will hate those that took their loved ones away unconditionally and do everything in their power to prevent it from happening again."
Orochimaru hummed as he muled that information over. Then, he asked, "Do the Uchihas love the village?"
"They love it so much, they would start a coup just to ensure it survives and the legacy of the Will of Fire lives on," I answered honestly.
"So you know about the Will of Fire?" Orochimaru asked with great amusement.
"I live by it," I replied honestly. "Nothing will break my determination to see everyone I care about happy. That… is my nindo, and my Will of Fire."
Orochimaru stared at me for a long moment before giving me a genuine smile. "I see. Perhaps the Uchihas are trustworthy after all."
Hot dayum, I thought, He's lowkey attractive when he smiles. I need to make this man smile more often…
Orochimaru tilted his head to the side a bit, frowning slightly. "Is there something on my face?"
"A good-looking smile," I approved, "7 out of 10, would smash-"
"Your mother really was a whore," Orochimaru said, disapproval in his voice.
"Yes, she was," I approved with a nod. "I prefer to call myself demisexual, with a side of polygamy."
The man blinked at me.
"Demisexuality is a sexual orientation where people only experience sexual attraction to folks that they have close emotional connections with. Of course, I love, like, a lot, so I want to love more than one person at once. That is polygamy," I explained.
Orochimaru raised a brow. "And you have a close emotional connection with me how?"
"I've heard a lot about you, and I think that you're a very admirable person," I admitted, "You do everything you can for the sake of bettering the village, even if your methods are different."
"And how do you know what I do is for the good of the village?" Orochimaru asked with a smirk.
I looked him dead in the eyes. "You wouldn't be interested in the changing of the winds and become Hokage if you didn't want to better the village."
"I… I haven't told anyone that I want to become Hokage," Orochimaru said.
In Abridged Alucard's voice, I heard in my mind, "You dun goofed."
I blinked once before saying, "Well… It's been passed down from team to team, starting with the Second Hokage… The most ambitious are always made Hokage-"
"I would like to disagree," he said as he openly frowned. "Sarutobi isn't the type to choose the most ambitious-"
"He will choose those who have great accomplishments and a strong Will of Fire," I stated firmly.
Orochimaru clearly disagreed, but didn't bother to start a debate. He instead turned his focus to the clock on the wall. "In any case, I must leave. Keep this scroll on your person at all the time."
"That is obvious," I stated as I rolled the scroll up and put it inside of my baggy top.
Orochimaru put his ANBU mask back on before taking his leave from my house like your average ANBU member.
I waved to him before deciding that I would go to the training grounds. I needed to be in top shape for when the war comes.
Obito and Gai were sparring intensely, both of them not noticing my presence as I stood at the edge of the opening in the trees.
I crossed my arms as I watched what they were doing and how they could improve fighting.
The two of them jumped back while panting heavily.
I whistled, catching their attentions. I walked over calmly as they eyed me cautiously. "Gai, your movements are too stiff. Obito, you need to learn how to dodge better."
"Yes, Master," they answered in unison.
I nodded once in approval before finally increasing my arms. "Now, you two take a breather as I warm up."
The two boys were glad to take a break by the stumps, hydrating themselves and massaging their muscles to make sure that they don't strain them too much.
I began a casual warmup of burpees, the lunge matrix, a few arm rotations, and some light punching. I then turned my attention to my pupils, who had cooled down and hydrated by then. "Today, you're going to work on tag-teaming."
"You mean him fighting for a while and then me?" Obito asked.
"Tag-teaming has nothing to do about the length of time fighting, but rather looking for an opportunity for your partner to jump in and allow you to regain some stamina when needed," I stated firmly, my hands on my hips. "You two need to work in sync more often if you're going to defeat me someday."
The two nodded, accepting my words easily.
"Gai is starting today because Obito charged first yesterday," I said, causing Obito to pout a bit.
Gai got into a fighting position and looked at me seriously.
I got into my own as Obito jumped back and began to observe carefully.
Gai lunged at me, his speed a bit slower than usual.
Ah, he must have bought those new training weights, after all, I thought as I dodged to his side, bringing up my knee so I could hit his gut.
Gai collapsed to the ground, motioning to Obito to take over.
Obito ran for me, his hand clenching into a fist and drawing back.
I internally sighed at how obvious he was being. I really needed to beat that out of him.
Obito jumped over Gai, sending a punch at my face from above.
I easily caught his fist before throwing him over my shoulder. I watched Obito flip around so he could land on his feet and internally nodded at how he had improved in that regard. I then watched as Obito tried a low kick at my shins. I jumped up, only to Obito to signal to Gai.
Gai tried to tackle me from behind, but he was too slow.
I flipped myself around in the air and slammed my foot into Gai's back, sending him into the ground.
Obito took over as Gai motioned to him. He sent another low kick at me as I landed, only to have his foot landed on, causing him to yelp in pain.
I jumped up, allowing him to withdraw his foot before moving back a meter.
Obito shook his foot before coming at me again. He aimed a punch at my gut and swung.
I ducked under the boy's arm, my eyes narrowing on his diaphragm. I slammed the side of my shoulder into his diaphragm and watched as he went soaring away. My eyes widened as I realized Gai wasn't within my line of sight.
The air behind me shifted, an obvious sign that Gai was there.
I turned around as fast as I could, only to be punched across the face. I stumbled back, surprised that he had managed to move so fast. I quickly realized he had been purposefully luring me into a sense of false security, causing me a bit of glee.
Gai then jumped away from me.
I felt my heart rate shoot up before Obito swept my legs out from under me. I couldn't help but grin as I used my left arm to catch myself. I then twisted my body around faster than Obito could comprehend and kicked the side of Obito's head.
Gai quickly jumped toward me as Obito fell to the ground, stunned from the attack. Gai sent a punch my way, only to immediately be sent to the ground as I whipped around and backhanded the boy hard enough to leave a mark for a week.
I watched the two pant heavily as they stood up, glaring at me harshly. I looked between them before glancing up at the sky. "Okay, that's enough for today. We're going to be doing this tomorrow, but in the forest."
"Why?" Obito asked curiously.
"Well, most fighting between shinobi of this land happens in the forest for obvious reasons." I motioned around to the many trees. "It's a field advantage that the shinobi of Konoha have and need to utilize to its fullest if they're going to win against the enemy."
"So, basically, we need to learn how to use the environment - this one in particular - to our advantage, right?" Gai asked, causing me to nod in approval.
"Exactly," I said as I crossed my arms once more. "We'll meet here tomorrow at our usual time, and I will make sure to be here on time."
The two nodded at me, their determination shining brightly in their eyes.
With them ready to give it their all the next day, I took my leave. I was quite pleased that the two decided to stay after to survey the area once more. I had been teaching them well, and they had been retaining the information to an impressive degree, though that was probably because I had beaten the information into them for the most part.
The walk to the center of Konoha was rather long, and the shopping district was surprisingly busy considering the time of day.
I picked up the usual healthy food from the grocery store as I wasn't really welcome at the Uchiha's main grocery store in the heart of the compound. I sighed to myself as I compared the vegetables to one another. I eventually got what I needed and began to head to the checkout register.
There, standing in line with his son, was none other than Sakumo-sama.
I was initially going to approach them to start a conversation, but stopped as I watched how Sakumo-sama smiled brightly down at his son, Kakashi smiling back just as happily as he talked animatedly about something.
They were having a perfect family moment - one that would be forgotten in a month, sure - but a perfect moment nonetheless.
I lowered my eyes to my basket of groceries and turned heel. I walked around the corner and decided to do some more browsing. I waited for a few minutes before going to the checkout counter once again. I nearly froze upon seeing Sakumo-sama casually chatting with Orochimaru just past the checkup counter, but then reminded myself that they were friends.
Orochimaru glanced over in my direction, probably because he saw movement, and then turned his attention back toward the older Hatake.
Kakashi looked over at me and frowned deeply, glaring daggers into my soul.
Noticing his son's behavior, Sakumo-sama glanced over his shoulder. Upon seeing me, he gave a smile, as if he hadn't been ignoring me for the past two weeks.
I gave an awkward nod of acknowledgement as I headed up to the counter and began to put my items up for her to scan.
She did so quickly as she asked, "How was your day?"
I shrugged. "The usual, you know?"
She chuckled as she noted aloud, "The usual for you could be causing the apocalypse or staring up at the sky in boredom."
"Hey, I haven't started the apocalypse yet," I said while puffing my cheeks out.
"Yet," she joked, causing me to chuckle at just how close she was without knowing it. She then told me the total, which I paid, before giving me my single bag of groceries.
I bid her goodbye before trying to leave the store. As I was heading towards the door, Orochimaru motioned me over. I made a face at him, but he ignored it, insisting that I head over. I gave an internal sigh as I did so, heading over to the man.
"Hello, again, Tenrō," Sakumo greeted with a smile.
Kakashi silently glared, not even pretending to be polite.
"Hello," I greeted before looking toward Orochimaru. "You summoned?"
"I was just telling Sakumo here about your petition," Orochimaru said with a devious twinkle in his eyes.
"You're getting the principal fired again," Kakashi said accusingly.
I shrugged. "Until a competent one comes along, I'm not going to be satisfied."
"You're going to be dropped from the program soon," Kakashi said.
"You don't know the future," I chided, "And besides, the principal would actually have to prove that I'm as incompetent as a newborn first. As long as I keep myself from the failure group, I'll be able to continue as normal."
Kakashi pressed 'X' to doubt.
"In any case, you're one step closer to receiving equal treatment for those in the academy," Orochimaru interjected.
I nodded in approval. "Once the biased teachers and principal are forced to conform to guidelines, it will only be the students that need to reform. That will understandably take more work, but it's a step in the right direction."
"It's nice to see that you're so determined to get everyone treated equally," Sakumo-sama said with a smile.
I gave a forced smile back before trying to excuse myself from the conversation. "Well, I need to go cook myself dinner, so-"
"How about you come over again for dinner?" Sakumo-sama asked.
I made a point of looking at Kakashi warily, the boy looking at me with narrowed eyes. "Yeah, no. I'm not dealing with that tonight, thank you very much."
"Kakashi won't hurt you again, I assure you," Sakumo-sama said as he patted Kakashi's head.
I pressed 'X' to doubt, and it openly showed on my face.
"What did Kakashi do last time?" Orochimaru inquired.
I grimaced at the mere remembrance of what happened, shifting from foot to foot. "Let's just say, I won't be able to make children for a while still."
Orochimaru raised a brow, amusement clear in his eyes. "Well, at least it wasn't Tsunade that hit you."
I snorted. "Well, I'm not Jiraiya, so I won't be trying that any time soon."
Orochimaru chuckled as Sakumo gave a smile.
Kakashi seemed a bit confused, but still continued to glare at me nonetheless.
"In any case, I will have to decline your offer. I do have something going on tonight," I lied smoothly as I gave a nod of my head.
"You're not going to do anything bad, are you?" Kakashi asked suspiciously.
"Not tonight," I denied, "Tomorrow maybe, but definitely not tonight."
Kakashi gave me a deadpanned expression at my reply before shrugging it off. He was satisfied with my answer, it seemed.
"I'll be on my way now," I said as I dismissed myself from the group. I made sure to keep up a cocky and happy facade until I reached the inside of my apartment. I then sighed deeply as I allowed sorrow to show on my face. I headed into the kitchen and dining room area of my apartment before putting away my groceries. I then walked into my bedroom and collapsed on my bed.
Numbness filled me despite how much I wanted to feel some type of emotion, be that positive or negative.
That night I was going to see my shadow clones disguised as those I admired deeply, but I couldn't have been bothered to put on a happy face and interact with them. Hell, I didn't even have the motivation to make the shadow clones.
I closed my eyes, sighing deeply. I just laid there, trying to figure out why Sakumo-sama had acted like he hadn't been ignoring me for the past two weeks, only to act like nothing had happened. If I hadn't experienced that, I would have been able to write everything off and continued on my day without feeling that emotional blow.
No answers came to me because life simply wasn't that easy.
I opened my eyes, allowing me to stare at the wall of my room. I just stared and stared as I also tried guessing why he had invited me over for dinner if he was obviously wary of my presence.
Eventually, night fell across the land, engulfing my room in darkness.
I decided to just crawl under my covers, not bothering with cleaning myself nor making myself dinner. As I closed my eyes, I wondered if I would ever truly be happy in the Naruto universe. I probably wouldn't be, not when it was obvious that I was an outcast and would be one for the rest of my life.
Well, I suppose it shouldn't have bothered me that much, as I was always an outcast in my previous life as well, pretending to be normal so that I could have a peaceful life.
Nevertheless, life continues on.
