It had taken an hour for the workers to get Alexandria. She'd lost consciousness by that time. When they got to her she was alive, but barely. They carefully got her out and transported her to a hospital in a neighboring city. John was still in his hotel room. His cell phone rang.

"Hello?" He said.

"She's alive." Amber said happily.

"She's alive?" John said, the life instantly returning to him after being emotionally drained. "Is she alright?"

"She's stable." "She's in the hospital." "Within the next hour a helicopter is coming to life lite her to Memorial Hospital in San Diego." "She needs surgery both her legs are broken." "They have the top surgeon waiting at the hospital."

"What happened to her?"

"She was in the elevator when the earthquake hit." "She fell fifty feet and was trapped for three days, she was barely alive when they found her."

"Are you guys on your way to San Diego?"

"We're headed to the airport now."

"I'll see you guys when I get there." "I'm gonna call right now for a flight."

"Ok bye."

"Bye."

John hung up and called the airport packing faster then he ever had in his life. After hanging up from the airport he called Randy.

"Hello?" Randy said.

"Randy they found her, she's alive." He said happily.

"She is?"

"Yeah."

"That's great." "See, I told you." "Is she ok?"

"She's pretty banged up." "Her legs are broken but she's going to be ok." "They're life liting her to a hospital in San Diego." "I'm on my way there now."

"I'm so happy everything worked out." "Kim will be to when I tell her."

"I have to go."

"Ok bye."

By the time John got to the hospital Alexandria had already been in surgery for two hours. The doctor came out four hours later.

"The operation was a success." The doctor said. "Recovery will be long be her legs should function normally, eventually." "A lot of physical therapy will be needed." "It will probably be quite some time before she can have coherent conversation with anyone." "She's on heavy pain medication and will probably be sleeping, or out of it most of the time."

"Can we see her?" Amber asked.

"For a few minutes."

They went back to see her. Both of her legs were cast and had a bandage wrapped around her head.

"We're all here." Amber said.

"I'm here to." John said so happy to see her. "You're gonna be ok."

"She must've had an angel watching over her."

"Yeah." If that were true John knew exactly who is was.
