Alexandria was in the rehabilitation hospital for three months. She was finally going home today. Like with any healed injury the doctor told her there may be times where she was in pain. Alexandria was zipping up her bag.
"Ready to go home?" John asked.
"Yes." "I can't believe it's been seven months since I've been there."
"I know."
"I can't wait to see Riley."
"She misses you." "I think she thinks something happened to you." "The neighbor said she waits by the window for you." "For about a year after Sherri died she did the same thing."
"Aw." "Well then we have to hurry home and show her I'm ok." "You know what I can't wait for?"
"What?"
"Finally starting to plan our wedding." She said smiling.
"Yeah." "It'll be fun."
"Since I'm finally better we can put these last couple months behind us and start our lives again."
"I can't wait."
"Me either." They kissed.
"Let's get out of here."
"Yes let's do."
Four hours later they walked through the front door of their home.
"Riley." Alexandria said happily. Riley came running up to her happily. "There's my girl." She said bending down to pet her. "Daddy said you missed me." "I missed you to."
Later that night Alexandria got in bed next to John.
"It feels so good to be back in our bed." Alexandria said.
"I'll bet."
"What would you think about having the wedding in Boston?"
"I think that's a great idea." "My family won't have to travel far."
"Let's talk about it later." She kissed him. He kissed her back but pulled away. "What?"
"I just, I'm afraid I'll hurt you."
"John my legs are ok."
"I know but what if something happens."
"It won't." "Baby, we haven't had sex in seven and a half months."
"I know."
"It'll be fine." They kissed.
