Marley walked into her room and slammed her door after the argument with her mother. She saw Kitty, sitting in bed, lighting up a cigarette.

"No, no," Marley said as she went to the bed. "My mom will kill me."

"She smokes," Kitty pointed out.

"No, shit; same brand." She grabbed the cigarette from her mouth and put it out. Kitty grabbed another cigarette and lit it. "No, shit," she replied. Millie started to walk outside Marley's window; Marley quickly grabbed the cigarette out of Kitty's hand as her mom walked away; she gave it back to her. "Here since you want it so badly." Kitty took it back and took a drag.

"Hey, look what I got from the tattoo shop," Marley showed her a belly button ring. Kitty smiled and put her cigarette out. She got up and grabbed a needle off Marley's sewing table near her bed; then she flipped Marley over and sat on top of her.

"You sure you wanna do this," she warned. "This will hurt more than your tongue."

"I don't fucking care anymore-do it!" Marley grabbed one of her stuffed animals and put it in her mouth to stifle her scream of agony that will follow. Kitty took the needle and started to pierce Marley's belly button; as she struck it, a whole lot of blood started rushing out of the small hole.

"SHIT!" Kitty exclaimed and ran out of the room to the bathroom to get toilet paper.

"Everything okay, Kitty," Millie yelled out in concern.

"Yeah just spilled some soda!" She ran back to the room and closed the door.

Marley was admiring her new belly button ring, laying on her back. Kitty was laying down next to her looking at her. "It's cool you're not scared of needles, Marls. Maybe we can get more piercings or tattoos?" They both smiled at each other.
