Chapter Fifteen
Epilogue
June 1998
Padfoot sat in the stands surrounding the stage bouncing his leg, impatiently. He couldn't wait for the ceremony to start. Padfoot held a giant camera in one hand and a smiling baby girl in the other. Two-year-old Arianna Juliet Prongsworth was Padfoot's oldest child with his new wife, Sandra. James Aberforth Prongsworth had yet to make an appearance and his very pregnant mother was off at the lavatory again for the second time since they had sat down half an hour ago.
Padfoot had been so happy the last six years. There had been no more sign of the repugnant Tom Riddle since the rupture of the wraith at the end of Harry's first year. The lack of signs of the Dark Nutter and of Harry Potter had driven Dumbledore off the deep-end. The man had been forced into retirement last year, much to his brother Aberforth's satisfaction.
Padfoot had finally reached out to his old friend, Moony, during Harry's third year. Their reunion was bittersweet. Remus was remorseful that he could have ever believed Padfoot could have betrayed James and Lily. Padfoot was remorseful that he could have ever believed his friend Moony had been the spy. They made up with each other and picked up their best friendship right where it had left off. Padfoot even hired Moony to do the books at his new, very successful, magical car and motorcycle dealership.
The Death Eaters never rose to their old vile ways again. With the worst of their lot in Azkaban for good, the most they ever did was brood and be arsehole bigots. It was bad enough, in Padfoot's opinion. He did his best to undercut the worst of their lot in the Wizengamot. With both the Potter and Black seats under his sway by proxy, he was able to undercut them quite a bit.
Sirius sat now waiting for his precious oldest child, Harry, to cross the stage and graduate from Hogwarts. The boy was likely to be engaged to his very bestest friend 'Mione before he was 20, if they kept going as they had for the past three years. Kellah and Ron were likely to be close behind them on their way to the altar. The pair of couples had been inseparable since their adventures in first year. Sirius considered their normal Hogwarts years filled with the adventures of youth to be his greatest accomplishment.
Sandra returned to her seat just as the music started for the processional. She took the toddler girl, who was squealing with excitement now that she could see her big brother and her psuedo sister. Aberforth was sitting on Sirius' other side, holding the new Granger baby. Moony sat beside Aberforth. Little Landon had been a surprise to the Grangers who thought they couldn't have more children, especially at Emma's ripe old age of 45 years old but she certainly had. The little boy was the pride of the pack at the moment. That's what Sirius considered the wonderful people who now filled his life - his pack. He planned to keep them all for life, if they'd let him.
The happy couples watched their children graduate with love in their hearts. Sirius Black and Harry Potter might be gone but Harry and Padfoot Prongsworth were just getting started with their happy lives.
The End.
