Chapter 4

Marcel sighed entering the bar with Garnet. He checked his pockets " no gil " He thought. Chris walked in front of the two and handed a bag of gil. " Here five hundred gil , enough for some food and drinks " He said. Marcel took the bag " thanks Chris ,I will pay you back or something " He said. Chris placed his hand on his chin with a small grin. " All right Marcel , you don't have to smoke the cigar but you can't throw it away ". " and if you agree we are even " He said.

Marcel sighed " fine , fine Chris but tell Garnet about your summoning power in detail " He said taking a seat at the bar. Chris sighed " fine , what would you like to know , princess " he said taking a seat at a table. Garnet took a seat. " All right Chris , how do you have a similar power to me but one eidolon " She asked. Chris noticed a waitress put to beers. " thanks , but when I was born i had a family i think but was raised by someone else ". " I remember I first summoned Carbuncle to protect them , but they abandoned me because of it , by running away in terror " He said taking a sip of beer.

Garnet held the mug " I see then you met Zidane and took his last name and joined the tantalus theater troupe " She said. Chris took another sip of beer " yup and then I left the troupe and joined the knights of pluto and because my brother needed help betrayed them " He said. Garnet was about to take a sip. " Princess , do not drink that swill " Adelbert said. Garnet placed the mug down . " Adelbert , i was making small talk and learned some stuff about Chris " She said.

Adelbert took a seat near the two " he still betrayed the knights of Pluto " He said crossing his arms. Chris finished the mug of beer " I know , but i wasn't supposed to help with escape unless needed " He said hiccupping. Garnet chuckled " i see , well since i am a princess , I will take responsibility for your actions as one of my knights Chris " She said. Chris smiled " thanks , by the way the monster hunt is going to be fun " He said.

She moved her hand throu , her hair. " true , i am looking forward to fighting in it as well " She said. Adelbert slammed his fist on the table. " Princess Garnet , you should not be participating in such a horrid event " He said. Garnet took a sip of the beer " I understand , but I just want to test my power " She said. Adelbert sighed noticing Baku and Vivi enter. Chris waved them over. Baku took a seat " your uncle , the regent said to come see him after the monster hunter " He said.

Garnet smiled of course. " I am looking forward to the morning , and when the hunt begins " She said. Chris noticed Marcel and Zidane were drunk . Chris sighed " lets head to the Inn , Garnet " He said standing up. Garnet nodded and left with Chris. Adelbert ran after the two taking Vivi's hand so the two could keep a close eye on them.

Meanwhile Marcel relaxed and laughed at Zidane's joke. " So tell , me of this world , where you died , Marcel " Zidane asked. Marcel laughed " I am kinda , drunk but i thought I told you " He said. Zidane nodded no taking a sip of beer. Marcel passed out drunk about to speak. Zidane was drunk but helped Marcel to the inn. Zidane and Marcel walked to the inn. Marcel woke up as rain hit his face. " I basically died and Jaden and Yubel gave me a chance to live but coming to this world " He said hiccuping. Zidane nodded as they entered the inn and headed to the rooms the innkeeper pointed to at the back of the inn. Marcel walked into his room and passed out on the bed.

The next morning Marcel woke up with a headache. He walked downstairs and saw Chris , Garnet , and Vivi. Chris clapped his hands near Marcel. Marcel covered his ears. " too loud , Chris , where's Zidane and Adelbert " He asked. Garnet sighed " Oh , trying to wake Zidane " She said. Zidane walked down the steps with Adelbert. " Thanks for the wake up call " Zidane said.

Adelbert looked at Chris " How many drinks did you brother have " He asked. Chris walked out the door "not sure , but see you all at the monster hunt " he said. Garnet waved bye and took a breath " well good luck Zidane and Marcel " She said leaving. Zidane stretched his arms. " Well lets head out Marcel " He said.

Marcel nodded leaving the inn with Zidane. Marcel saw all the people gathered for the monster hunt. He noticed Vivi standing near Chris and Garnet. Zidane laughed " I see Adelbert , is not participating " He said. Marcel nodded readying his duel disk as the monsters were realised from cages.

Marcel dodged strikes from the enemies near the tram. He used exodia's leg and head. He heard an announcement garnet was in the lead and zidane was in second and Chris was in third. He got on the tram and took a seat. He saw the theater district and saw the enemies. He quickly used Exodia completely to defeat the enemies quickly to gain points. He then heard an announcement , He was in second place. He noticed the theater district had no more enemies and got back on the tram. He headed back to the main district and noticed time was up.

He clapped as Garnet was announced the winner. He went to the throne room of her uncle and noticed Chris got third and noticed Zidane , Adelbert , Vivi , and a person he didn't know clapping. Garnet noticed her uncle cid was a frog. " nicely done , my niece and everyone who participated " Cid said. Garnet covered her mouth " uncle about my mom Brahne the queen " She said.

Cid smiled " she is planning to attack other countries , your safest here my niece " He said. Garnet sighed " but i could , go back and talk to her " She said. Cid nodded no " ribbit , lets go eat and celebrate " He said. Garnet sighed looking at the plant that put the knights of pluto to sleep , She got from Chris bag.
