As Arthur Morgan laid nearly unconscious, on the side of a mountain in the East Grizzlies, he knew that his time in this world had come to an end. Was he a good man? Was he a bad man? These questions running through his mind are what drowned out the instinctive fear of death that was slowly creeping over him.

Ready to block out life's early rising sun, Just as his, was setting. He would soon realize in the coming moments that sometimes those questions can be easier answered than originally thought.

Arthur coughs and spits, his eyes going glassy. He was alone. Dutch, Micah, all of them had left him up there to die. As tough as he was in life, with an immense amount of worry about whom he really was, and if he had been a consequential part of any ones existence, He still feared death.

'Well boah...it's time isn't it?' His thoughts ring out through the fear and inquiries.

Just then he begins to hear a whooshing sound echoeing all around him, and throughout the canyon. Almost sounding like his own breathing. A wheezing, whooshing sound. He has enough energy to tilt his head up and he hears a boom, and sees this very peculiar blue box just a few feet from him, that definitely wasn't there moments ago.

Arthur coughs a few times.

"Oh that's great...big blue Boxes, I'm seeing things." It's almost only a whisper that escapes his lips.

The doors to the big blue Box open, with an almost calming squeal. Out steps a lankey, strange looking man in a trench coat and suit. He walks out slowly and closes the door behind him. He immediately sees Arthur over on the ground in front of him and rushes to his side without saying a word.

"...And just who in the hell do you think you are Mr.Hallucination." Coughs Arthur.

"Oi I'm real..." The man nags back, almost offended. "...very much real...just a second!" The skinny man holds a finger up as he reveals a device and places it onto the ground beside them. He presses a button on the tip top of this oval shaped device and it makes a few weird sounds before Arthur notices that his lungs don't feel like there on fire, the darkness isn't protruding upon him as quickly as it once was.

"What ...what in the hell is goin on , who the-"

"I'm the Doctor...Arthur." The Tenth Doctor looks directly at him.

"Christ, another stinking Doctor. Look I don't know-"

"Arthur I'm sorry to interrupt but time is running out. My time stretcher...well stopper...well...my time Doo dad here is stopping this universe's time stream for just four to seven minutes. The amount of time distortions, and other problems throughout this universe I'm causing are going to be astronomical...and your not quite getting half of this are you. Ok, im sorry but It's gonna be really hard to understand I just need you to trust me and listen."

Arthur ,baffled with some of the terminology used, and most of the last statement, nods in agreement.

"Ok Arthur ,I'm the Doctor, I travel time and space in my blue box over there..." The Doctor points.

"...I know alot about you, and your story, and your legend throughout history and I also know what your feeling, and obviously how it all ends. In this universe you go down in history as nothing more than an outlaw and a villain. But out there...Artie, out there you're still talked about. Arthur Morgan, the man who helped save so many, but was valued so little by himself. The Man who kept on fighting...to the very end."

The Doctor grasps Arthur's hand.

"Doc...you've got the wrong feller. I'm nothing but an old robber and outlaw. I've killed men for sometimes nothing more than a few dollars." Arthur retorts. "My name, my story, all of it can't be out there for anyone to even remember who I am."

The Doctor smirks.

"Arthur, there was a little boy named Jack. Do you remember him?"

"Well y-" Arthur sputters and spits a little blood trying to answer.

"Sorry, uhm yes I do. It's John's boy."

"Well, he goes on to write a book called Red Dead Redemption. It recalls your story to the best of his knowledge, your inspiration to his father and himself. The inner battle he feel that you faced being the man you were and what you did to survive. Arthur you were no angel, but you don't deserve to die believing that you were a pariah. No one deserves that." The Doctor's eyes glimmer as he explains all of this to the poor soul.

"Doc I...uh..." Arthur trying to fight back the tears. "Thank you."

"None of us want to go...I just hope this made it easier." The Doctor now shedding tears down his face. Watching Arthur Finally expire in front of him. He looks down at the ground and stands up.

"Good bye Arthur..." The Doctor whispers.

Soon after that The Doctor walks back into the TARDIS and within moments it dissapears into the night. As if the meeting never happened. The Sun rises on another day.
