Hello everyone! Knightmare here! With a new Fic!
For those who know of my Light Protector, this story was his beta. It was conceived well before KH3, so this story won't actually touch that game. Instead for a Timeline, it takes place during Dream Drop Distance, but will not be part of the Mark of Mastery. So, be ready for an adventure you aren't expecting

The Keyblade War. Few in this world know about it. But the legend still lives. Keyblade Warriors of Light and Darkness flocked in search of the ultimate Key:

The X-Blade.

Few know how to create the blade, but many know its necessary ingredients: Light and Darkness. How much of each was the question that plagued many Wielders.

One man was said to have found the balance: 13 Darkness and 7 Lights. Many called the man crazy. But none knew much of him. All they could call him was the Seeker of Darkness. ~~~

"Young one hurry," a worried master called to his apprentice, "We must flee before the Darkness comes."

Young Tenebrae ran towards his master. Both were Keyblade Wielders, with Tenebrae inheriting his from his master. His black hair was trimmed in the back, but with bangs long enough to hide his eyes. To many, his black eyes made it look like he was devoid of emotions, but he was an emotional lad.

Tenebrae and his master were running from creatures of the Dark. Heartless as many called them. They seem to strike mainly Keyblade Wielders, for they wield the only tools that could destroy the beasts.

Both Wielders made it to the edge of their town. Few were still around, but they were waiting for transport. Only a select few could use the Keyblade Gliders, causing difficulty for those with apprentices.

Tenebrae looked back to see the Heartless gaining on them. All the other wielders were panicking. Tenebrae, though, felt at ease, almost exhilarated, by the circumstances. He wanted to rip the Heartless into pieces. He wanted to destroy and decimate them.

"Young One, where are you going?" his master called.

Tenebrae had started to walk towards the advancing creatures. He summoned his Keyblade: Ninja's Darkness. The blade of the key looked like a double-edged sword. The teeth were a shuriken imbedded into the top of the blade. The hilt looked like the hilt of a sword, with a golden guard that looked like a flowing scarf. There was a section of red connecting the blade with a guard; a shuriken picture was printed in that section. The Keychain was a small kunai knife.

"I'm going to have fun," Tenebrae said with a chuckle, "I'll be right back."

Tenebrae ran into the mob of darkness. While hacking and slashing through the creatures, Tenebrae looked like he was having too much fun. His black eyes turned to gold as he cut apart a Heartless that tried to escape. Laughing like a maniac, Tenebrae struck down the last Heartless.

Tenebrae turned to his master and the other Wielders. Tenebrae's smile grew to a maniacal grin. He took slow steps towards the group his Keyblade scraping across the ground. Almost everyone, save his master, looked at him in fear.

"Do you turn to the Darkness, my Apprentice?" His master asked.

"What can I say?" Tenebrae laughed, stopping his advance. "My name does mean DARKNESS!"

Tenebrae charged at his master, causing the older wielder to summon his Keyblade. The two clashed, Tenebrae pushing his attacks. Having been taught by the older Wielder, Tenebrae was at a disadvantage. Even now, he was having too much fun. He kept trying to use power and strength to beat his master.

His strategy didn't work, for his master saw through it. With quick footwork, his master was able to throw him off balance. Using that moment, his master was able to slash Tenebrae in the back. A shock went through Tenebrae's system, making him realize his master added a lightning spell to the attack. The attack caused him to become paralyzed.

"My foolish pupil," His master said, tears falling down his face, "I'm ashamed that it has come to this. But you leave me no choice. You will have to wander through the Darkness. You will have no memories of who you are. Only until you can meet someone who can change you darkened heart, will this curse stay. Hopefully, you will change for the better."

Tenebrae's master opened a portal beneath him. The portal flashed before engulfing the Wielder. As the light was engulfing him, he heard his master say, "When your memories return, I hope you will be a better person. Until that time, I wish you well."

Tenebrae was forced to shut his eyes, as the light of the portal became too bright. He could feel the effects of the spell take hold, his mind shattering. His memories broke apart, disconnecting from one another. His only remaining memory was that he was a human.

Tenebrae collided with a body of black water. He drifted slowly into the open sea. His memories drifted like the waves of the sea. He was not sure where he was or where he was going. Everything was becoming blank, nothing made sense to him. The more he drifted, the more he forgot. Until he could not remember his own name. ***
