Hello again everyone! So a bit of background before we continue. I wrote this story originally in high school, well before KH3 and DDD, and there will be a few things that won't be canon. That was because I didn't look into the lore well enough and was going off of the knowledge from KH2. So this is a fair warning, and any comments about it will be addressed.
Either way, enjoy the chapter!

- Time break in same POV
The sunshine on Destiny Island was always inviting. It was always warm enough to take a nap in. Which is exactly what Keyblade Wielder Sora was doing. His gravity-defying brown hair barely blocked the sun from his eyes.
Sora laid across the paopu tree, snoring away. After his last adventure, he deserved a day off. He did miss the days of adventure with his friends Donald and Goofy. But he was happy to have found both his friends Riku and Kairi.
Unknown to the sleeping teen, both were sneaking up to the tree. Riku, the oldest of the three, with long silver hair and teal eyes, whispered to Kairi, the only girl of the group, with auburn hair and blue eyes. Riku counted down from three on his fingers. When he reached one, both he and Kairi shoved Sora off the tree, into the ocean.
The sudden jolt, due to the change in temperature, caused Sora to regain his consciousness. He spat out whatever water got into his mouth, as he stayed afloat.
He glared at his friends his cerulean eyes, before yelling, "What's the big idea!? Can't a guy get a nap in before you prank him?!"
"Sora, you lazy bum," Kairi said, shaking her head, "You were asleep all yesterday. Besides, we said we would do some exploring on the island."
"Or at least seal this World's Keyhole," Riku added, "Of course we could spar, just like old times."
"I'll pass on the spar," Soara said, after climbing up the ladder on the islet, "But sealing the Keyhole is a good idea. Race ya!"
Sora took off past Riku and Kairi, across the bridge that connected the islet to the island. Kairi pushed Riku back and ran after Sora. After he regained his footing, Riku chased after his two friends.
The trio made it to the cave with Sora winning the race. All three teens were out of breath.
"Well, that brought back memories," Riku said with a smile.
"Yeah, we raced just like this a few days before the Heartless came," Kairi said, with a smile of her own.
"So much has happened," Sora said, reminiscing, "First Ansem, then the Organization. A lot of powerful enemies appeared."
"Let's not forget our merging," a new voice added.
Next to Sora appeared the ghostly image of a boy his age. His blonde hair spiked with a spin in front. His eyes were just as blue as Sora's.
Next to Kairi was the ghostly image of a girl her age. Her blonde hair reached just past her shoulders, with some going over her left shoulder. Her blue eyes shined as bright as Kairi's.
"Yeah, some new friends as well," Sora said with a grin. "Thanks again, Roxas, Namine."
Roxas, the boy, crossed his arms and smiled. Namine, the girl, smiled with her hands behind her back. Both looked happy to have met their Somebodies. This was because they were able to spend time together.
"Alright," Sora said as he willed his Keyblade, the Kingdom Key. "Let's make sure the Darkness doesn't come back."
Sora aimed his Keyblade at the door in the cave. A small beam of light shot from the Keyblade into the Keyhole on the door. With a click, the door locked, and the Keyhole faded. With the task done, Sora dismissed his Keyblade.
The trio left the cave feeling accomplished. After all, their quest started after the island became consumed by the Darkness. With one more Door locked, it meant one less spawn point for the Heartless.
The walk back to the shore was mostly quiet. The trio knew no words were needed between them. That was just how their bond was.
The silence was broken when Namine spoke up. "What's that on the shoreline? It looks like a person."
Everyone looked to where the blonde girl pointed. Sure enough, there was a body at the beach. The person looked like a young man. The trio ran over to check on him.
In the water of the beach, was a boy who looked to be 15. His black hair was cut short in the back, but his bangs were long enough to cover his eyes. His clothes stuck out the most. In almost all black, he was dressed in a short-sleeved shirt and pants. On his right shoulder was an odd piece of armor.
Riku and Sora grabbed the boy and dragged him out of the water. Luckily, only the boy's lower body was in the water. He was breathing normally, with no coughing.
"Who's this?" Roxas asked.
"No clue," Soara answered, crossing his arms.
"He's not from either island," Riku said. He pointed at the boy, "His clothes aren't from this World."
"So, he came from another World?" Namine asked.
"It's a possibility," Kairi said with a shrug.
Riku grabbed the boy and put the unconscious individual on his shoulder. "Well, we'll at least take him to the tree house. We can figure out what to do later. He may be hungry when he wakes up."
Kairi and Sora nodded before following Riku. Riku effortlessly carried the boy to the treehouse. Once inside, he laid the boy down on his back. Kairi grabbed the cloth off the wall and covered the boy.
"We can't leave him here," Sora said, "But we can't bring him home. What should we do?"
"Hopefully, he walks up soon," Riku said. "Then we can ask where he came from. We'll figure out the rest from there."
"I'll go get some food from the island then," Kairi offered, standing up. "I'll make sure to get enough to last us a few hours."
"Thanks, Kairi," Sora said with a grin.
"We'll be here," Riku added.
With that, the Princess of Heart left the tree house. Riku and Sora sat in silence as the new boy slept. No one said anything, so the only sound was the boy's breathing.
"What do you think he was doing in the ocean?" Sora finally asked.
"Who knows," Riku shrugged, "He could've been on a boat that capsized. Or, he could have come from the Realm of Darkness, like we did after our fight with Xemnas."
"But we had Kairi's letter to open a door," Sora mentioned.
"Darkness…" a voice whispered.
Sora and Riku looked down at the boy. His breathing was becoming heavier. It looked like he was starting to sweat. His face started to contort in pain.
"What should we do?" Sora asked, wide-eyed
"He doesn't look to bad," Riku stated, "For now…"
Before Riku could continue, the boy screamed at the top of his lungs. Both Wielders freaked out as the newcomer screamed and gripped the sheet.
"You spoke to soon Riku," Roxas pointed out. "Now what?"
"I'm thinking," the silver-haired teen said.
Sora was looking around frantically. He seemed to get an idea. Sora took out a Potion from his pack and poured the contents into the screaming boy's mouth. The sound of gulping could be heard as the Potion went down the boy's throat.
"What are you doing?" Riku yelled.
"I thought I was helping!" Sora said defensively. "Potions usually work, right?"
"If you have an injury," Riku pointed out.
"Actually, it worked," Roxas said. "Listen, he's not screaming. In fact, I think he's waking up."
Both teens looked at the "patient" in surprise. Slowly opening his eyes, a pair of black eyes revealed themselves. The boy sat up and looked around. He shook his head and stuck out his tongue. He started spitting, as if something bad had got on his tongue.
The boy finally looked up and saw the two Wielders. Though his eyes were lidded, he smiled at the two. He looked very tired, but also kind.
"Hello," the boy said in a ragged voice.
"Hi, I'm Sora," the brown-haired teen said, smiling.
"I'm Riku," the silver-haired teen said.
"Nice to meet you," the boy said. "My name is…" Before the boy could answer, he flinched and grabbed his head. His scream came back with a vengeance. When he calmed down, he was panting. "I don't remember. I don't know who I am."
"You mean, you don't remember your name?" Riku asked.
The boy shook his head. "I don't remember anything. I don't even know what I am."
"Then what about that armor on your shoulder?" Sora asked, pointing at the piece. "I've never seen anything like it."
"I don't know." The boy stood up. He hit the button on the armor piece and the whole roomed flashed. When the light subsided, the boy was outfitted in black and gray armor. He moved around and looked at himself.
Both Riku and Sora inspected the boy's armor. Both were just as surprised, it seems. But the armor only seemed to raise more questions. And the boy didn't have any memories to answer them.
The boy's armor faded as he sat back down. "What does that mean?" he asked.
"We don't know," Riku said, "We're sorry."
"I'm back," Kairi called from the door. "I've got plenty of food." When she walked in, she noticed the boy awake. "Oh! Our guest is up."
"Yeah, but he doesn't remember anything," Sora said.
"Bad case of amnesia," Roxas put in.
"So, he doesn't remember his name?" Kairi asked, putting down the food. "That's not good. Without a name, no one will be able to help him."
"Light…" the boy whispered, "A light devoid of Darkness."
Kairi looked at the boy surprised. Besides the people within the room, no one knew she was a Princess of Heart. She was one of seven, with hearts of pure Light. How could a random stranger know that fact?
"Sorry," the boy said, looking away, "There is something about you that sparked a memory. But it wasn't helpful."
"it's okay," Riku assured the boy, "She is a princess with a bright light. I'm surprised you can sense that."
The boy looked at Kairi. There was something weird about the boy. Each of the Wielders were shocked when the boy summoned a Keyblade.
The Keyblade looked like an actual broadsword. The teeth were in the shape of a four-pronged shuriken. The guard was golden and seemed to mimic a flowing that attached to the hilt of a sword. The charm on the Keyblade's keychain was in the shape of a kunai knife.
All five teens were surprised. Riku and Sora were surprised to see the boy brandish a Keyblade. Kairi was surprised to see the Keyblade pointed at her. Roxas and Namine couldn't understand what was going on.
"Seven and Thirteen," the boy said, "To defeat the Seven is my goal. And that Seven is Light."
The boy looked at Kairi with golden eyes. The same eyes as Xemnas. The same eyes that brought back horrible memories for the Princess and the Witch. Before anyone could react, the boy charged.
It was then that Riku and Sora snapped out of their stupor. Both willed their Keyblades. Riku tackled the boy and pushed him out of the treehouse. Sora got to Kairi and got into his battle stance.
Riku and the boy were battling on the beach. The boy's style was extremely aggressive. Riku had to stay on the defensive to conserve his energy. He couldn't anticipate the boy's movements or strategies.
The boy had a maniacal grin on his face. It looked like he was having too much fun. This wasn't the boy that was found washed up on the beach. This was a Heartless in a boy's body.
Riku used a chance to block the boy's attack. He knocked the boy's Keyblade into the air, and with a quick change of his footwork, Riku slashed the boy across his chest. The blow was shallow, but enough to knock the boy out.
"It's okay," Rikus said, dismissing his Keyblade, "I got him."
Sora jumped down and ran up to Riku. Kairi chose to climb down the ladder. Both boys looked over the defeated newcomer. They looked at each other, trying to figure out what to do.
"So, we learned he can wield a Keyblade," Riku said, when Kairi made it to them.
"And that he's dangerous with it," Sora added.
"But why attack Kairi?" Roxas asked.
"That's what we'll ask him when he wakes up," Riku said, grabbing the boy.
So I'm sure you all noticed what the inconsistency was. And at the time, I hadn't realized, but now I know that Roxas and Namine technically couldn't talk t the others. But it helped provided dialogue and it's a fan-written story. I've seen people change the entire universe, so my change is minor.
But otherwise, a new Wielder and many questions without answers. I hope you all are excited for the next chapter.
