Marco stood in the backyard of the Butterfly home with Daniel, River, James and Henry standing in front of him, "Okay Marco," Daniel spoke, stepping forward before tossing him a red rubber ball, "We're going to go over the basics of dodgeball," Marco opened his mouth before Daniel shook his head, "We know you know the rules, but we think it'll be best if you practice holding back to avoid any unwanted attention on your end,"
"O…kay? So what am I supposed to do?" Marco looked up and arched a brow, "Like you said, I now the rules. Hit someone with a live ball, they're out, catch the ball while it's live, the person who threw it is out and a teammate can come back onto the court, cross the line, you're out, so what do we need to-"
"We're just going to be running so simple drills," Henry answered before the four adults began looking around the yard.
Spotting a boulder against the back fence, River pointed towards it before calling out, "Try giving it a light throw at the stone there, boy, just to give us a visual on what we're working with here," Marco sighed and nodded before throwing the ball towards the boulder.
His eyes widened as he felt the ball leave the palm of his hand with a force and an electrifying surrounded the ball before shattering the boulder to a pile of rubble, "What the…we said lightly," James looked back in disbelief.
"I did throw it lightly!" Maroc snapped, shaking his head, "I never done that before! Yesterday and the whole…it was just a little force, but nothing like that!" Marco panted before looking down at the golden band around his finger, "Is this your doing?"
He flicked the ring and Henry sighed, "Okay, having you throw a ball with the hand that bears the demon artifact was a bad move on our end, why don't you try throwing it with your left hand?" Marco looked at him and shook his head, "What's wrong?"
"I'm…I'm righthanded, so throwing with my left hand might-"
"Just do it," River threw him another ball before pointing towards an old stump in the middle of the yard, "Lightly throw it at that stump," Marco took a deep breath as he raised the ball above his head in his left hand before throwing it towards the stump, the ball, once again leaving his hand with a force before being surrounded by a while light and began circling the stump.
The four looked at Marco before Daniel spoke, "So-"
"Again, that's never happened before," looking down at the Brass Ring of Humility, Marco frowned as he narrowed his eyes, "I really think that it's the rings that are-" before he could finish, the sound of the door swinging open caught their attention and the five looked back to see Moon, Jeri, Melissa and Christina stepped out of the house with panic-stricken faces.
Marco looked at the destroyed boulder and stump and looked back at the four before shaking his head, "Sorry about the-"
"No…it's not that, boy," Moon panted, shaking her head, "Star, Sabrina, Brittney and Ashley…they…there was a small explosion at the school before the ground opened up and swallowed the girls before closing back up," Marco's eyes widened as he felt his body began to shake, "The school called the police and they're hoping that they can help an-"
"It won't work," the adults looked at the hybrid as Marco shook violently, "It wasn't…not a force a nature, it was those damned bastards in the underworld," the adults stared at him with wide eyes as he fell to his knees and hissed, "These bastards are going to pay for this!" they watched as a dark aura surrounded his body.
The adults slowly walked up to him and Jeri spoke, "Mar-"
"Get away from me!" they jumped back as Marco looked up and panted, drool dripping down the side of his mouth before he slowly stood up, "I'm going to show those demons in hell that they've made a grave mistake in taking Star, Sabrina, Brittney and Ashley to hell," the adults looked at each other in silence, "Are you coming or not!"
They jumped and Christina softly spoke, "M-Marco, are you…are you okay? You seem a little-"
"This is what an Evil-Cycle looks like, now are you with me or not!" the eight looked at each other before looking back at Marco, "Well?"
"While we want to save our daughters, we don't know how you'll act," Moon spoke, shaking her head, "We've only known you for a few days and you told us that your Evil-Cycle is the exact opposite of your personality and we don't know what will happen if-"
"Are you with me or not!" The air between the hybrid and the humans grew still, "I'll let them know that you asked abou-"
"We're going," Marco looked up as Henry sighed and shook his head, "We're all going to die down there, so we might as well try to help save our daughters, but boy, what are you going to-" before the Asian man could finish, the ground began shaking and the nine fell through a fisher beneath their feet before it closed up again.
