Chapter One: Used to Belong
Since Marshal Mary Shannon came back from her vacation to Mexico with Faber. Marshall hasn't been the same he treated her more like a co-worker than best friend. She missed him but started to pull away also she didn't tell him what was happening in her world anymore no more Jinx and Brandi updates. No more anything. She did her own paperwork, didn't expect anything from him anymore.
Mary also noticed Stan was harder on her making her feel more alone than ever before but also making her decision to leave easier. In the end it will be easier for everyone involved. She knew when her welcome was wore out and she knows hers has. That's why she liked working FTF. No partners, no one to get attached to.
Which is why Mary already put her house on the market. Packed up what belongs she wasn't taking with her. She was living out of her suitcase. She talked to Jinx and Brandi about what was happening and why she felt the need to leave in which for the first time ever they both understood and offered her their support and to nit tell anyone else about what was happening and wherever Mary would be going to. Mary already put in for her transfer behind Stan's back knowing it'd put the final nail in the coffin. She was just waiting for her new orders and she was hoping for it to happen soon.
She couldn't take it anymore. She just wanted everything to go back to normal. Most of all she missed Marshall and Stan, the closeness, the jokes, but most of all she misses what felt like a family when she used to belong here in Albuquerque now she knows she doesn't belong here anymore.
Mary already decided to change her number when she finally leaves. She already knows that once she leaves she won't be coming back and she doesn't want to be found. She's going to return back to what she once was when she didn't have to rely on anyone and the only people who excepted anything from her were her mother and sister.
