There were two things Manjoume were terrible at: Beating Judai and Admitting his feelings for Asuka Tenjoin.
The latter was easier to suppress, he would never have let it get to him. He would keep his head in the game first and foremost. Granted today was about to flip all that on its head.
"Say Manjoume I've always wondered... Why don't you call Asuka by her first name?" The brown haired boy asked. "Of course of all people to ask him that would be Judai.
Manjoume had no response to said question however. " Could it be... Loveeeee?" Judai prodded teasingly. "Your the last guy I wanna hear that from." Manjoume replied. The black haired boy was not expecting his rival to be so "Perceptive."
And when he thought it couldn't get any worse Fubuki showed up.
"That is a interesting topic Manjoume-Kun." Fubuki said as he walked down the stairs. Asuka's brother getting involved meant one of two things: Another love duel or Fubuki turning into Darkness and coming for his ass. To be Frank the latter sounds better in comparison.
"It's nothing that serious is it? I just refer to her by her last name because I respect her." Manjoume explained, that was half the truth. "And that you like her." Judai shot back. That was the other half of the truth.
"Then why don't any of you call me 'Jun' then?" The Black haired duelist asked. "Cuz that'd be awkward/" Both Manjoume and Fubuki replied. "And there it is." Manjoume sighed.
On the opposite side of the Academia Asuka was dealing with her own problems. "Asuka-San do you like Manjoume?" Was the question that one of her best friends Junko asked her.
The blonde in question didn't answer the question, except her ears were now red. "Asuka-San you really have it bad." Momoe chimed in. "I-I have no idea what you mean." Asuka replied in retaliation as she kept walking. "Then why are your ears so red from embarrassment?" Momoe asked.
The blonde then walked even faster trying to escape from the two.
"Kuri Kuri" Hane Kuriboh went Alerting Judai. "" Oh speak of the devil, oiiii Asuka." Yelled Judai getting the blonde Girls Attention.
"Crap." Asuka thought to herself. Momoe and Junko were not far behind and now her "Crush" was here as well just as the conversation began.
"See now's your chance Manjoume Sanda." Judai chuckled as he ran away. "I leave everything in your capable hands." Fubuki said as he walked away himself. "Asuka, try answering your feelings too." The elder sibling said as he walked out of sight.
"Nii-San!" Yelled a now red faced Asuka. Momoe and Junko caught up with Asuka and both came up with the same conclusion. "Ah we've got homework to do so have fun Asuka-San!" Junko smirked as she and Momoe left her sight.
One thing both Asuka and Manjoume thought was how they were going to kill their friends. "A-Ahem! Did my brother say anything weird at all?" Asuka asked her crush weary of what Mr self proclaimed Cupid would have done. "N-nothing at all, thankfully." Manjoume replied recomposing himself.
"Is it bad that I call you by your last name all the time?" Manjoume asked. "Hmmm.. I wouldn't say its bad at all, everyone calls me by my first name, your the exception by it has its own charm." "That and I love it when you just refer to me by my last name." Asuka thought that last part out as she calmly answered The Black haired boys question.
But now she had to hear him say her name. "Try saying my name." Asuka asked as she walked up to Manjoume. "This is too good a opportunity to pass up." Asuka said to herself.
"W-well wouldn't that be a little disrespectful in a way? Your way better than I ever could so it comes with the territory." Manjoume said half lying through his teeth.
The blonde in question flicked his forehead kind of hard. "Baka I treat everyone equally, so you should drop the formality and say my name like everyone else." Asuka said.
There was nothing wrong with it right? She was giving express permission so it was ok by her explanation. "V-very well..." Manjoume said gathering his resolve making Asuka nod in anticipation.
"Asuka-San." Manjoume said Sweetly causing the blonde to cough up blood in response. "Asuka-San!?" Manjoume yelled out and when he said her name again it felt like someone shot a arrow through her heart.
"Are you ok Asuka-San!?" And again another Arrow was shot. "Asuka-San!" And yet another arrow.
"Hang on Asu-" Manjoume was saying but was stopped by Asuka. "No more... My heart can't take too much sweetness..." Asuka said struggling to get up.
"S-Stick with Tenjoin-Kun... I'll die of sugar if you keep saying my name." Asuka said shyly averting her gaze from Manjoume.
Manjoume was a lot of things but dense was not one of them. "Asuka-San." Manjoume said once more before Asuka buried her face in his shirt violently wailing on her crush.
One thing was for certain... Saying first names are enough to kill someone.
