Something Wicked This Way Comes

When Ranka Fujioka opened his door this morning, he had expected to have to shoo away that annoying blond idiot again. What he did not expect was some freak in a cloak asking to see Haruhi. His baby really needed to be more selective about her friends. Too tired from a hard nights work to argue much, Ranka simply sighed and opened the door

"I don't suppose you're part of that Host Club as well?" He tiredly mumbled

"Oh no, I'm president of a club of my own. I have visited your son there though." He really couldn't understand how so many people thought his precious child was a boy.

"Haruhi, there's a boy here for you!"

"Tell Tamaki- Senpai that I told him I already have plans today!" She yelled from her room

Plans?

"It is I, Nekozawa. I have come to pick you up as agreed." 'Nekozawa' responded

Did his Haruhi have a date with this creep?

Haruhi popped her head out the door "Oh. Hey Nekozawa-senpai! Is Kanazuki already with you?"

A... three person date?

"Miss. Kanazuki is currently waiting for us in the car."

"I'm off then. Bye Dad!"

Whatever, he would think about it in a few hours when he wasn't so tired.

"Alright senpai, what exactly do you need me to do?"

"Well, the other members of the black magic club have agreed that they would like you to be a sort of referee in our little... debate."

The black magic club was in absolute upheaval. There had been an argument between two members over the true meaning of black magic, which had resulted in the other members taking sides. A chasm was formed that could not be rectified without an outside member, free of any opinion. Nekozawa had generously supplied Haruhi. Haruhi had mercifully agreed to supply her assistance.

Thus the argument began

"Black magic is the use of magic for selfish or evil purposes, it is the left handed path to white magic's right."

"Evil is based off of individual opinion, black magic is intent. It is what the caster intends for the recipient."

"It is called black magic due to the dark nature off it. It is curses, and cannot be used for the good of anyone besides the caster."

"Who are humans to declare black and dark to be negative? Assuming you even decide that one thing is evil, which you really can't, then who are you to force it into strict categories!"

"You cannot even begin to try and fudge clearly set boundaries like that! The differences are as obviou-"

"Human made differences which have little to do with the magic itself! In fac-"

"Enough! Did we not invite Fujioka for this very reason? What do you believe?" All eyes turned to the president, quickly shifting to the (awfully short) boy he'd brought with him

Haruhi blinked

"This is pointless." Ever tactful in her responses

"How dare he!"

"Who let him in here!"

"I cannnot even be-"

"Silence! Fujioka, please continue."

"I don't think either of you will we able to convince the other, so why bother trying? As long as you can agree as you're actually doing it, isn't it good to have different opinions? Just get over yourselves and realize you don't always need to agree."

The club members blinked. That...

...could work.

They celebrated their newfound unity by cursing Tamaki to wake up with bags under his eyes, then all ate a hearty meal.

"Thank you for your assistance Fujioka." Nekozawa said while dropping her off at her house after a very eventful day.

"It's fine, anytime. The food and company are enjoyable."

"May your sleep be filled with terrors."

"Thanks senpai, good night to you too!" She closed the door

"Haruhi," She heard her father say

"Yeah Dad?"

"Did you go on a date without telling your daddy!? Why does it have to be that weirdo, he scares me! What about Kyoya!"

Haruhi opted to ignore his ramblings and instead showered.

A/N: I got a review on 'We Do This Every Month' that just absolutely made my day and I immediately started this. I have another one called 'Enter if You Dare' also in the works. The summary for that will likely be 'Nekozawa was always trying to get Haruhi to visit the black magic club. Eventually, she actually did, though it was due to no real coercion, she just wanted to return his wig.'

...One handed typing and half worked ideas are not a good combination.
