Hello! Here is a Warriors story taking place in another part of the world where there are similar clans, but different cats. Note that I have not read Warriors nor have the plans to read it, so don't judge me too harshly. Or do judge me too harshly. I don't really care. Contact me via PM or my Scratch (daffodil6) for more info about the Gobos.
Chapter One
One day, as all my stories seem to begin, everything was nice and calm. The sun was slowly descending through the sky, and all the birds chirped annoyingly. Around the semi-thick forests of Thunderclan, Lightningpaw crawled under the brush covering site of the camp. Her almost-black gray fur kept getting caught on the surrounding plants, but she didn't care to search for another way through. Not too long after crawling through, the small amounts of sunlight shone before fading, and the camp of the clan was in view.
Sighing in relief that she made it before the daylight vanished, she began to make her way to the Warrior's dens. It was a short walk away from the dens, and she tried to hurry across the near-barren camp, only to run into Thornpaw during her sprint.
"Ow…" Thornpaw mumbled.
"S…sorry. I didn't see you there." Lightningpaw apologized, "I'm not used to being out when it turns dark."
"It's okay. The forest gets in the way of the sun and it becomes awfully dark. Probably one of the worst things about here." She gazed into the darkening sky.
Awkward silence crept grabbed them both for a moment before Lightningpaw spoke up, "I got to get to the Warrior's dens. We could talk later."
"Alright. I have to get to my den also."
She turned left and headed away, presumably to the medicine den according to Lightningpaw's sight, so Lightningpaw darted into the Warrior's dens. She slowed as she entered the large cave and look around. There were a couple of other cats in the den, most of which were trying to sleep. Since she was light as air, she quietly ran to her bed of leaves and lied down. As the moon was getting high in the sky, she felt everything calm, and was sleeping away…
But only a short amount of time after she fell asleep she woke up to a scream. It was distant and ended quickly, but she couldn't go back to sleep after that. Lightningpaw looked around... everyone was asleep still. Her curiosity got the best of her and she slowly exited the dens. The pitch black of the night fell on her surroundings, darkening everything she could see.
A rustle of leaves came from the left. She turned around and looked in the direction of the sound. Nothing was there. It was eerie, but she slowly moved closer. Looking right, nothing. Left? Nothing. All there was were leaves and the smell of wood. More steps forward and she felt her paw sink downwards. Quick reflexes sent her paw retracting as she looked down.
Blood and intestines of a dead cat lay there as Lightningpaw stood horrified. She screamed before quieting down.
"…Branchpaw…? Who… why? He's… dead."
More distant rustling told Lightningpaw to head back to camp, but she wanted to face whoever attacked. A yellow figure stood into her sight. Blood was on parts of its skin. Three or so points emerged from its head. The wind wailed and the branches swayed. Putting herself in a fighting pose, she prepared for what it would do. Windy blows knocked a branch down and onto Lightningpaw, causing her to fall down in pain. Her head was dazed and she thought she was going to pass out. The yellow creature faded out of her sight as she lost consciousness. One last thing she saw was the dark orange fur of another cat leap in front of her before she went out cold.
Alright... this story can't be that bad... so far. Rate and review, please.
