Next chapter of a fanfic no one will care about~!
Lightningpaw woke up to the light howls of the wind. Her vision was blurry and moving blobs of oranges and whites sped past her. She looked around to figure out where she was. There were plant-looking greens on what she assumed were shelves. A blink and the sight got better. While it was still blurred, she could identify the medicine cats going by. An orange cat with white splotches walked into her sight, carrying some herbs in their paw. They placed the herbs near Lightningpaw before changing position of their paw to adjust their hair.
"These thymes will help the healing process. As a warning, they'll burn at first."
Taking the thymes, the cat spread the thinned, crushed leaves across Lightningpaw's head and back where the gash from the tree stained. She watched both afraid and unsure as the plant was laid. Soon after a sting crept throughout the entirety of her body until she could no longer stay calm. A burning, intolerable pain kicked her into a sitting up position, to which the medicine cat had to hold her down.
"MAKE IT STOP!" She shrieked at her highest volume, "STOP!"
A few minutes, which felt like hours, passed and the pain ceased. Her brain was processing the events of what had happened when a shout came from the cave's door which took both cat's attention towards it.
"Leafkit and Blazepaw are dead!"
Another cat, a brown and gray one with swiped back hair, ran towards the cats and stopped in front of them. Shock was on his face.
"You can't be serious!" he shouted at them, "Leafkit was just born yesterday and Blazepaw was recently promoted, how could they be dead already?!"
Doing a little nod, the cat in the doorway gloomily responded, "We don't know. All we saw were their bodies and blood scattered everywhere in their caves."
"I won't tolerate that! Has Moss-shadow sent anyone? This is the eleventh death this week, and knowing last night, we could be under attack!"
"She sent out some warriors last night as soon as the news about Lightningpaw came. They have not found anyone."
He sighed, then asked, "Why must we have such an incompetent leader?"
The cat answered, "She's doing her best, no use arguing."
"Well, she's not doing what she SHOULD be doing, so I will go and DO what SHE is to WIMPY to do!"
Shoving the cat in the doorway to the side, the brown and gray cat ran out the door with little knowledge of what he should do. The doorway cat mumbled to herself, "If only Tumbledust would learn…"
With the interruption over, the medicine cat turned to look at Lightningpaw, who began to look at the medicine cat.
"Your wounds'll heal soon. Take it easy and don't move your back much, or your head."
They lifted their paws off the table and walked to the next injured cat in the bed next to her. Lightingpaw slowly got up and off the bed of leaves and sticks to exit the cave. As she started her trek to her cave, another shout emerged, but this was a more familiar one.
"Attention all cats, Moss-shadow has called an emergency meeting, get to the highrock as soon as you can."
Highrock was a short travel away, it was near her cave too, so Lightningpaw began her slow walk there. The gentle winds that rustled her fur felt nice after what had happened last night. A few fallen leaves crunched under her paws and the soft dirt closed the sound of her steps. Everyone else already arrived by the time she got there. Slightly embarrassed for forcing them to wait, Lightingpaw quietly took her seat as everyone waited for Moss-shadow to go on the rock.
After a few more minutes of silence, Moss-shadow finally made her appearance as she came from the right of the rock and moved towards it, then stood on it. She had a fake blur fur hairstyle that covered up her left eye and trailed almost to the end of her neck. White fur was what she had on her face and neck, but her body was a dark grayish near-black color. Her eyes were a bright cyan with markings around her eyes, clearly from earlier battles that declared her a leader.
"Everyone," she began to speak in a soft, calming voice, "I know you all are panicking over our recent undercover attacks, and I am too. Dustbreeze, my mate, and I have been figuring out what to do. Dustbreeze's idea would be the most effective. As a leader, I will pass her idea as a new rule. All kits must be watched by a group of three or more warriors, and every other age group should be accompanied by one other warrior. Bladeclaw, you will be paired with Lightningp-"
Her sentence died before it could complete as her head fell off her body; the cats forced to watch as the severed part bounce and roll on the ground. In her place was a blue cube, roughly the size of Moss-shadow's body. On its face were green goggles and on its head was a spinning cap in the colors of red, blue, and green. It shouted, "LISTEN HERE CATS, I WILL RULE OVER YOU IN NAME OF GOBOS. ANYONE WHO IGNORES MY RULES WILL BE CHOKED TO DEATH WITH A KETCHUP BOTTLE. AGREED AND UNDERSTOOD?"
Jadepaw stood up as the gem on her forehead started to glow. "I refuse. Everyone," she walked in front of the rock, "We cannot deal with a dicta-"
Another sentence died as the cube made a clicking sound with its mouth and one of the yellow three-pointed three-legged creatures came out and stabbed her with its points. Blood flowed from the broken veins in her chest and she fell limp on the floor. Every cat stayed silent. The creature, dubbed as a "Gobo", removed the orange cat's body and walked next to the cube.
"ARIGHT. NO MORE TRAITORS, OKAY? BEING A TRAITOR IS NOW BANNED!"
Shouting angrily, the blue cube calmed itself down before any cats could speak and continued to speak itself, "Refer to me as 'Cuboi', alright? First command as a leader, I will change everyone's names. You there, the cat with the crème emo hair and orange spots," it looked at Lightningpaw, "You are going to be called…"
"You can't change my name like that!" Lightingpaw shouted, "My name is Lightningpaw and always will be!"
"Oh, so you wanna play THAT game? YOU wanna do it, eh?" It continued to speak after its interruption.
"Yes. I don't care if you kill me, I will fight fo-"
"I don't care about your heroic monologue. Your name is now Karen and I don't give a Nano."
All the cats stared at Cuboi. 'We refuse' was the chant they began to do, but Cuboi couldn't care less. It clicked once more and a bunch of the Gobos came and threated them with their heads as Cuboi began once more, "I don't care about my dictatorship and neither should you. Now… GET THE FRICK OUT THERE AND DO SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE. ALL RULES YOU KNOW OF ARE NOW ILLEGAL. Speaking of rules, new rule: two Gobos will be in each cat's house, invading their privacy, and if any of them are found dead," its voice was now sounding a lot more chaotic at this point; more-so than it already was, "then I will send a bunch of Gobos and have all those cats publicly executed so NO ONE WILL REPEAT AFTER THEM AND TICK ME OFF EVEN MORE THAN BEFORE. Thank you for listening, now screw off."
The cats started to rebel against Cuboi's rules, but were quickly scattered by the Gobo army coming in. "I said… SCREW OFF!" Cuboi shouted at the top of their voice.
Lightingpaw and Bladeclaw quickly paired up before the Gobos started to surround them on their way to their caves. Each cat was followed by the army of Gobos, and once at their cave, they would be shoved inside along with two other Gobos. Lightingpaw and Bladeclaw were the first ones targeted for living nearby, but Bladeclaw only went with Lightingpaw to try and survive.
"Are you sure we will survive?" Bladeclaw whispered.
"I hope so… I don't want to die so soon." Replied Lightningpaw quietly.
Once every Gobo and cat was in their caves, Cuboi hoped off the Highrock and looked at the taller and a different shade of yellow Gobo next to it, "C'mon BreadGobo, let's go put a treehouse in that tree up there." It pointed a let the tallest and widest tree near the rock.
"But you don't have any hands…" BreadGobo replied.
"Exactly. And you have them. Let's go build before it gets too dark."
They walked over to the trees as the sun reached the highest point of the sky and everything was bright. But while the area is bright, the living is turning hostile. The other areas began to notice the sudden lack of Thunderclan cats due to the constaint watching and restictions Cuboi began to place, and while most of the cats figured it was something changing that would be normal, a certain cat from the Riverclan knew something was up and made it their goal to find out what as soon as night fell
I used my OC as the dictator, which is not actually mine, but is from some flash game out of some Stenyl Jam from 2012. And yeah, I decided to have a dictator take over using yellow-orange creatures with pointy heads and three legs, don't judge me.
