Dean refused to show he was scared. He was the first one to step inside the next room. He held his breath for a second and then blew it out before taking another step. He turned around to look at Seth and Roman.
"It's okay. It's safe," Dean said.
Roman and Seth stepped inside too. The door slammed behind them, and a black panel slid down to make the door disappear completely. Once again they were trapped.
"I don't like this," Seth said.
"Those armors look expensive," Roman said.
"We're not stealing armors," Dean said. "We need something we can actually carry out to our car. Do you have any idea how much an armor like that weighs? Not to mension that we have no idea who would actually buy one of those."
"I was just admiring them," Roman said.
Loud sounds broke through again. It was the same sound repeated several times that seemed to happen at the same time. They all jumped and shone their flashlights around.
"Ehm, guys?" Roman asked nervously. "Did the armors hold spears before?"
Seth and Dean shone their flashlights at the twelve armors who all had spears pointing outwards.
"No," Dean said.
"I don't like this," Roman said.
One of the armors suddenly moved towards them. By reflex Dean emptied his gun into it before finally jumping back to not be hit by the spear. The armor stopped.
"Tracks in the floor," Roman pointed out.
"You were right, Roman," Seth whimpered. "There are traps in here."
"Shut up, Seth!" Dean growled.
They heard the sliding sound again. The armor behind them from the other wall was moving forward.
"Run!" Dean yelled.
All the armors started moving forward. The three men ran through the room towards the door by the end as fast as they could. Dean and Seth made it there and heard a loud crash behind them followed my Roman howling in pain. They turned around to see their friend on the floor with an armor over his leg.
"Fuck, it hurts. That shit is heavy. Get it off me," Roman said.
Seth and Dean worked together to lift the armor enough for Roman to get his leg out. Luckily he hadn't been penetrated by the spear.
"No normal armor is that heavy," Roman said. "People wore them to battle, for fuck's sake. No one can lift that alone. She had them created for this purpose."
"Fucking bitch!" Seth muttered.
"And I'm out," Dean held up his gun. "Don't use your bullets if you don't have to. Don't be stupid like me."
"What do we do now?" Seth asked.
The black panel slid up and revealed the door to the next room. It opened on its own so they could shine their flashlights inside.
"I don't wanna do this anymore," Seth said.
"You don't have a choice," Dean said.
"Dean's right," Roman sighed. "She told us we only get one chance at making a choice. We chose to try our strength with the house. We have to get through this."
"And we're going to," Dean said. "We're gonna get through this fucking house alive, and we'll fucking hunt her down in the process."
"She's hunting us," Seth said.
"We're hunting each other," Roman said. "She's never danced with someone like us before."
"We've never fucking danced with someone like her before!" Seth yelled. "Wake up, damn it! You keep talking big talk but you're just as scared as I am. Just fucking admit to it."
Dean and Roman shared a look and then they both sighed.
"You're right. I'm scared," Roman said.
"Me too," Dean said. "But that doesn't mean I don't stand by my words. We have to keep moving forward, and we will get out of here."
"Alive," Seth nodded. "I'm with you on that as well. We'll get out alive."
