Roman and Seth walked over to the panel Dean was standing by. The panel slid up and the door opened. Dean sighed in relief when the door opened on its own. Roman and Seth shone their flashlights inside. Another empty room with white walls. Not off white like this room. Purely white but with a black floor instead. They stepped inside and the door slammed behind them.
"There's nothing in here," Dean said.
"Should we just hurry through then?" Seth asked.
Lights were shone on the wall and the ceiling. Small video clips started playing. Video clips from other people having been in the house and tried their luck with the different rooms. There were rooms they hadn't even been in. People they knew from their line of work and people they had never seen before. It kept switching between people, rooms and traps. And then two scared faces that Roman knew all too well were shown jumping from circle to circle in the same room they had just been in.
"Jimmy? Jey?" Roman asked.
His two cousins had been missing for two months now. The last thing he heard was that they would try their luck with this mansion to find some treasures. Rumors started flowing about a week later when everyone realized they hadn't seen the twins for a while.
"Where are they?" Roman yelled.
Another video clip started playing of someone trying to make their way out of a glass box full of water. Seth held his breath in fear. He did not want to try that.
"No, go back!" Roman yelled. "Where are my cousins?"
The clip started playing again but it played a bit longer. It played until Jey tried to open the door and got electricuted. Like Dean, Jey fell backwards with a scream. The clip stopped before Roman could see if Jimmy had saved Jey, or if Jey had been penetrated by arrows. The clip started playing over and over. Jey jumping to the last circle and trying his luck with the door knob.
"Where are they? Tell me where the fuck they are, you bitch!" Roman screamed.
"Roman, calm down," Seth tried.
Roman didn't listen. He was angry and scared, and he kept screaming. He sprinted through the room and down to the next panel and started pounding away on it. Dean and Seth hurried down to Roman. The panel slid up and the door opened. Without thinking, Roman ran into the next room, still screaming about where his cousins were. A red dot suddenly appeared in Roman's black hair.
"Get down!" Dean yelled.
Dean threw himself into Roman and tackled him down on the ground just in time. A shot went off and hit the wall instead. Roman rolled around and looked around with wide eyes. Dean looked at Seth who had a dot on his hips.
"Seth, move!" Dean yelled.
Seth jumped backwards before the shot was fired and hit the wall.
"Stay out of the red dots!" Dean yelled. "Seek cover!"
There were a lot of items in the room to hide behind. Roman and Dean crawled over the floor. They wanted to get to the next panel but this room was huge. Like ball room huge. They would have to figure out how to navigate their way through the room while hiding behind all the items and avoid the red dots.
"Seth, get a move on!" Roman yelled. "Don't fucking sacrifice yourself out there!"
Another dot landed on Seth. He looked at his chest for a second with the dot there.
"Seth!" Roman screamed.
Seth dove to the right. He had no idea what was over there. He just wanted to hide behind something. He ran around a table with eight chairs. The ground suddenly opened below him and he fell through. He couldn't be far away because Roman and Dean could still hear him scream.
"Get me out of here!" Seth screamed.
Seth's voice was full of panic. Roman and Dean crawled to the trap door in the floor and started pushing down on it. It didn't move. They could hear Seth scream in a panic they had never heard before. Whatever he was faced with downstairs was pure horror to him. Dean started pounding his fists on the trap door.
"Open it!" Dean screamed. "Stop it! Let him go!"
A spotlight was turned on in another part of the room. Roman grabbed Dean's arm and pointed. The spotlight was shining above another trap door. The red dots that kept moving avoided that spot.
"We have to," Roman said.
"Fuck that bitch!" Dean growled. "If I ever get my hands on her, I'm gonna strangle her to death."
They crawled over the floor and avoided the red dots. As soon as they were both on top of the trap door, it opened and sent them downwards.
