Ch. 2 Meeting the Sensei?!
"Hey, hey, wake up."
I was startled awake by Naruto shaking me.
"Wha... what's up, Naruto?"
"You had a nightmare. You were yelling in your sleep."
"Sorry... I haven't had those in a long time. I'm fine though. What time is it?"
"It's about 7 am. Do you wanna go train? I'm super pumped to go to the academy. Believe it"
"Sure, why not? I have nothing better to do at 7 am in the morning"
Apparently, he didn't catch my sarcasm and dragged me out to an empty lot. It had a little body of water in it and three training posts.
"This is my favorite training ground. I don't know why, but I enjoy it."
"It's not a bad little spot. Alright, how're we training? Running a mile or two?"
"A mile or two? That's our warm-up, Kin. Alright, let's go!"
"Oh, shi..."

30 minutes passed
Naruto is looking down at me as I'm breathing heavily on the ground.
"That. Sucked."
"I don't think it was that bad. You'll get used to it, Kin. We'll do this every day before school, so we don't lose to those clan kids."
"Well... that's concerning, but I suppose I owe you for letting me stay with you."
"You don't owe me anything. I just wanna be the hokage and have you be my secretary and the second strongest ninja ever!"
"Ninja? Hm idk if I'll be able to do that, but I'll give it a fair shot."
"Alright now. It's time for the rest of our warm up. Push-ups and sit-ups."
"Uh, how many of those?"
"50 each."
"Ah that's not too bad. Anything else after that?"
"Oh yeah. We have to train our chakra control, and that will be all of our morning training."
"Okay let's get to it."

Twenty minutes later
"Whew, I'm good at those, Naruto. A lot better than the awful running."
"Yeah, you're great at those, but this is the hard part now. You have to get a leaf to stick to your forehead."
"Uh how do I do that?" I looked at him questioningly.
"You use your chakra. Don't you know how to use chakra?" He stated.
"Uhh... no." Guilt hit me, and I had to look away.
"We'll have to go to the library cause I can't really explain it."
He said as he turned away and started heading to town.

We made it to the library. I was about to walk in as Naruto stopped me.
"Hey, I have to go in there as a henge. The uh townspeople don't want me to go in their stores."
I wanted to ask what a henge was, but I'll just read about it on my own. Same about this chakra stuff. Sounds like some bogus to me, but you never know.
"Alright, after you then, Naruto."
He made some kinda hand gesture and literally transformed into a different person. I can't hardly believe it tbh.
"I can't even form words right now. Let's just go inside, so I can read up on all of this stuff."
"Alright, I chose a Chunnin, so we can get the jutsu and chakra books."
He said as he beamed a smile at me and started heading inside.
"Alright, you do your thing and I'll just look around and try to find some books to
help me out. Meet back here in an hour or so?" I question.
"Sure. See you then."

10 am or an hour later
'I picked up some books that sounded interesting. Chakra control exercises,
Basics of Chakra, Chakra Elements, and History of Konoha. I think these are some necessary basic things, so I can grasp my situation.'
Naruto shook me out of thought as he proceeded to talk to me.
"Alright, you find some stuff that can help?"
"I don't know. I think these should help out nicely though." I say as I motion to the books.
"Alright, well I have a lunch meeting with the old man, so I'll see you later. Goodbye, Kin." He turns and waves as he walks away.

3 hours later
'I managed to pick some stuff up from just skimming over these books. Apparently, this country is divided into different lands. The main hubs of these lands are the villages. They run off a dictatorship-like leadership. There's five main villages. Konoha, Iwa, Kumo, Suna, and Kiri. That's about all that I got besides the fact that there's been three great wars. But that's not the weird part. Every shinobi here can use a power called chakra. This is a latent ability that just about everyone can use. I'll have to see if I have this ability or not. That would be a major plus. But, I digress. There's five main elements that everyone can use. Fire, water, earth, lightning, and wind. Same as the major shinobi lands. But there are exceptions called kekkei genkai. These combine different elements and are incredibly rare apparently. There's normal chakra and obscure visual ones. Now for the chakra control books. The basic one is the leaf thing that Naruto told me about. I found several other ones though. Like the tree-climbing and water-walking ones. These are apparently more advanced ways to train it. And finally, the rank of shinobi command. It goes civilian, genin, chunin, jonin, anbu, and Hokage. There's a special jonin that is lower than jonin but higher than chunin. Anbu is apparently like the secret service or special forces for shinobi.'
"Ughhh, I need to learn more, but I'm hungry right now."
I check the time and realize that it's only 3 pm. I still have a little bit of money, so I decided that I wanna go out to eat.

After about ten minutes, I was about halfway done with my food. It was so good. This will definitely be a spot I'll have to check out frequently. Or not. Out of the corner of my eye, I spot a familiar shade of purple stealthily watching my food. I narrow my eyes and say out loud, "Do you need something, Ms. Anko?"
Her eyes widen a tad bit, but she just smirks and struts over.
"Not particularly, short stuff. Just checking out the competition."
She quickly swiped a couple of sticks and kicked her feet up.
"I never expected to see you again, kid. Nice to know that you have excellent tastes."
"Nice to know that I shouldn't buy food with you around."
Her eyebrow twitches, "You should watch yourself, kid. I'll be stealing more than your dango if you keep that up." She said with a tad bit of sultriness and hint of danger in her voice.
I gulped cause I was very slightly terrified. "I'll keep that in mind, Ms. Anko. Sorry."
"Hey now kid. I was just playing around. Kind of." She added with a wink. "Now get on out of here, if you're not gonna eat."
"What do yo..." I start as I look down to see my plate is empty. I just shake my head and walk off.
"Alrighty then. Until next time, Ms. Anko."

I managed to waste some more time until it finally became 6 pm. I showed up at the Hokage Tower as it's called.
As I walk up, the secretary just tells me to go up to see Lord Hokage. I'm getting nervous as I approach this big wooden door. I knock and a clear, powerful voice tells me to come in.
As I walk in, I'm greeted with the sight of an older man in a basic white robe and a hat with the kanji for fire on it.
"Well, young one. Why did you need to see
this simple old man?"
I seriously doubted that he was as simple as he said.
"Ah, yes Lord Hokage. I was wondering if I could be enrolled into your shinobi academy. I have nowhere else to go."
"Ah, that is surely a predicament. And please, call me Sarutobi. Well, I think I can let you enter as long as we set up your citizenship beforehand."
"Ah, okay, Sarutobi. How do I do that?"
"Well, it's a lot of behind the scenes, but I can set it up for you and just let you know when you can enroll into the academy." He says as he smiles warmly.
I get a little teary-eyed as he reminds me of my family that I am starting to miss dearly.
"Thank you, Sarutobi. I promise that you won't regret it."
He just continues smiling and says, "I'm certain that I won't. What is your name?"
I wipe my eyes and look him in the eyes.
"My name is Kin. Kin Kaze."
"What a fine name that is Kin. Maybe you'll be able to help Naruto out more than I thought. At any rate, I'll let you know when the citizenship is complete." He just gives me a knowing look and dismisses me.

I lay on the ground covered in sweat. It's been a few weeks since I met with Sarutobi. We've had a few meetings since then with Naruto. My citizenship was finalized, and we start classes tomorrow.
Naruto is on the ground next to me.
"Hey, Kin. We have to do something important before tomorrow."
I look at him quizzically and say, "What is that, Naruto?"
"We have to get you some new clothes. I already have my clothes, but you don't. First impressions are everything."
"Yeah, I should get some new clothes. I really need them."
Naruto nods. "Yeah, let's go get you some now."
"I don't have the money right now though, Naruto."
"It's fine. You'll just have to pay me back with ramen later." He said as he gave his
trademark grin.
"That's a fair trade. I just hope it doesn't hurt my wallet too much." I say mainly to myself.
Naruto just laughs and we head to the store to get me some new clothes.

We got back home from the store, and I have to say. These clothes are actually pretty awesome. I got some breathable, black cargo pants, some black close-toed sandals, and a dark blue t-shirt with a black blazer.
We decided that we'd go to sleep early to prepare for the big day. Somehow I knew it wouldn't be that easy.

I didn't get much sleep, but I guess Naruto was unaffected because he went into training full tilt. I was too exhausted to really show the same enthusiasm. I got through the training though. We went home and got ready. I just really wanted to take a nap.

We arrived at school about 5 minutes early. As we walked into the classroom, there were a few interesting characters already. There was an emo-looking kid with some real crazy hair, a chubby boy with swirls on his cheeks, a kid that was already asleep, a dude with a dog, a blond chick that looked like she could use some ramen, an almost invisible girl with lavender eyes, and a girl with pink hair and a "... big forehead."
I mutter as I look at the pink-haired girl. Luckily, no one noticed that I said that. I think.
This class is shaping up to be interesting. I wonder how it'll end up.
It was pretty quiet when we walked in, but everyone soon went back to what they were doing. Naruto got put up by the quiet girl and I was put next to the emo kid. I tried starting a conversation, but it didn't go well.
"Hey, are you emo or do you just look like it?"
He gave me a slightly annoyed stare and just looked away. I guess he's shy or something.
Finally, the door opens and in comes the teacher. He has a ponytail and a scar across his nose. His skin is slightly tanned. He gives us a warm smile and says "Hey, guys. Welcome to your first day at the academy. My name is Iruka, and I'll be your teacher. Now, everyone it's time for your first physical fitness test."
Everyone slightly groaned at that and headed out to the track that the academy has.

The physical fitness thing was not what I expected. We ran about what Naruto and I run everyday. Plus we had to do throwing exercises and learned about the three basic jutsu that we'll need to know to graduate in 4 years. After that, he made us go back inside to start the worse part of school. The text learning.

Naruto and I finally got home from the first day of the academy. We were mentally and physically drained. We soon passed out. Maybe this new life won't be so bad.

Okay not quite the Sensei that you might've thought but yeah. We'll get to that next time. I really just want to write more of this story. Like I have chapters pre-made. I just wait to release them, but I don't wanna have more than 2 made up before I release it. That way I'm not super confused and reupload the same thing. Anyways, I'm just gonna release this new chapter today 'cause of TheDemonRaksh favoriting it. Thank you ;-;.
