Chapter 3
"Alrrrright kids. It's the final tiebreaker for your academy experience. You're all free to go after this. But come on up, Sasuke and Kin." said Iruka.
Alright. Let's take a break here for a second. Confusing right? Let's do a flashback or two.
Flashback Begins!
"Okay kids. This will be your first spar of your academy experience. Who wants to go first?"
O=O=O
After some boring fights. Not that this one will be that entertaining.
"We only have two fights left. So, Naruto. You will be fighting Shikamaru."
"Yes, Iruka-Sensei. I'm ready. "
Shikamaru proceeds to continue sleeping as he's a lazy bastard. Or at least he did until Iruka activates the weird big head jutsu thing and forces him to wake up and enter the ring.
This fight doesn't really have any importance. Essentially Naruto loses by Shikamaru outsmarting him. But the final one. Kin vs Sasuke.
As I enter the ring, I start to get nervous. Sasuke is a part of the uchiha clan. They have a lot more training than me. Idk if I can do anything. I can only try though. I'm watching him, and Iruka gets us ready to start.
"Begin!"
Sasuke kicks off towards Kin. Kin is playing a more defensive game and standing his ground. Sasuke starts with a few basic punch, but Kin blocks them and proceeds to counter attack with a roundhouse kick. Sasuke used his interceptor style to dodge and delivered a solid kick to Kin's face. They separate and Sasuke gets ready to attack again. Kin, however, runs forward this time and tries to hit him with a solid axe kick. Sasuke goes to counter and roundhouse kick Kin, but Kin figured he'd try something. He barely manages to dodge and delivers a solid straight kick to Sasuke's stomach. He doesn't let up and continues to pummel him. He hits him with a left hook, right uppercut, and flips to hit a finishing axe kick. Sasuke had enough with getting beat by a simple civilian and dodged. Instead of attacking immediately, Sasuke takes a shuriken and tosses it towards Kin. Kin is rather shocked by this and gets slightly cut by it.
A scream rings out from behind Kin, and he swivels around to see Naruto bleeding with a shuriken in his chest. Time seems to slow down immensely for Kin. He quickly turns and goes to deliver justice to Sasuke. He sweeps Sasuke's legs and gets on top of him. He proceeds to beat the consciousness out of Sasuke. Sasuke was caught off-guard by his eyes. His red eyes that he shouldn't have. He plans on confronting him about this very mind-boggling scenario.
Iruka pulls Kin off of Sasuke. Kin passed out as soon as Iruka touched him. Iruka then brought Kin along with Naruto to the hospital to recover.
Flashback ends
"This will be our last match, Sasuke. It's been fun. Kind of." I say and I get ready.
"Hnn. Don't disappoint me."
Iruka steps to the side and yells for us to begin. We meet in the middle and I jump to kick Sasuke. He ducks down and goes to sweep my legs. I shift myself to land on my hand and do a side kick that catches Sasuke barely. He uses the momentum to deliver a roundhouse kick to my head. I almost got knocked out of the circle, but I manage to slow myself down. We proceed to clash again. I go for a spinning back fist, but he dodges it and delivers a good uppercut. I substitute with a falling leaf and deliver a devastating knee to Sasuke's face and use my momentum to throw him out.
Sasuke looks pissed at me and starts yelling.
"What the hell was that, loser? We're not supposed to use jutsu during the spars."
I just smirk as Iruka declares Sasuke the winner.
"Even if you lose, as long as you style on your opponent then you win."
I say as I walk away and start heading home with Naruto. It's been an interesting few years since we started going to the academy. My hair has gotten quite long. It's slightly long and still gray. I'm now about 5' 6". Naruto and I have been training a lot. I was able to complete the tree-climbing exercise, but I haven't exactly figured out the water-walking one though. I was able to get the three basic jutsu down to an acceptable level, but the bushin is very hard. Naruto is suffering the same fate as me but a little worse. His clones aren't good enough. I'm worried for him.
"Hey, Naruto. Do you want to try and practice the three jutsu for tomorrow?"
"Nah, Kin. I'm good to go. I believe that I can do it."
"Okay, Naruto. You going to spend time with Iruka and Sarutobi today?"
"Yep. I'll see you at home later though."
"Alright. I'll see you then."
I sigh mentally. I wonder when I'll have to tell him that I'll need to move into my own place soon. I hope he's okay with it. I'm worried. He's like a brother to me now. I'm gonna go train some stress off.

As I enter the training ground, I feel Sasuke's chakra behind me, and I stop.
"Hello Sasuke. What do you need?"
"I've been holding my breath to ask you about this. But I want to know how you have the eye of the Uchiha, the sharingan. You're a clanless student. You shouldn't have that ability."
"Sasuke. What do you mean? I don't know anything about a "sharingan" or anything like that. I don't understand."
"Hm. Try leaking chakra to your eyes. That should activate it if you actually have it." Sasuke watches me closely.
I figure I should just humor him and do it. My blood runs cold though. The same effect from that first spar activates. Time slows down a good amount. Sasuke scoffs.
"You had this the whole time. You've stolen from my clan. But it doesn't make sense. Considering that they're all dead."
I understand his anger. I remember that day. It was definitely a heartbreaking sight. The entire village mourned the loss of the uchiha clan. I try to smooth it over as much as I can.
"Look, Sasuke. I don't know how I have these eyes. I can't explain it, but I don't see how it's my fault either way. Sorry. I have to leave now."
I quickly leave and go home before he can see anything.

I get home and look in the mirror. I proceed to activate and deactivate the sharingan for 20 minutes. I still can hardly believe that I have something like this, considering that it's a national treasure essentially. I'll need to train this. Maybe I can become stronger than just mediocre. I decide to keep this to myself for now.

The next day
Naruto and I finished up our training for the morning. I started to make a little bit of a breakthrough with the water-walking, but I'm nowhere near completing it. I decided to try and activate the sharingan and tree-climb. It was more difficult than usual, but I managed to do it. This will be interesting. Naruto and I start off towards school.
"Hey Naruto. I was thinking about something."
"What is it, Kin?"
I look towards him and start explaining.
"If you can't do the clone jutsu, then I'll do it for you. Just say "This is the time I'll succeed" and I'll step in for you."
"Don't worry about me. I can do it. It'll be alright."
"Alright. Just let me know."

We just finished the written test portion. It was kinda difficult, but I think we prepared enough. We should be fine. I'm up now to do the practical portion. As I walk into the room, I see Iruka and Mizuki. Iruka tells me to perform the henge, substitution, and clone jutsus. I toss a piece a paper on the ground and substitute with it. I make two clones and then substitute them into Naruto. Iruka smiles and tosses me my headband. I smile.
"Thank you, Iruka-sensei."
"Good luck on your ninja journey, Kin. I think you'll do fine."
I nod and walk out. As I walk out, I henge the clones into pieces of clear tape on the ground.
'Just in case Naruto needs me to interfere.'
Naruto started heading in and did everything good except for the clones. He tries two more times, and Iruka dismisses him. I stop him outside of the classroom and ask him
"Naruto. Why didn't you say the words? I could've helped you pass, and we would've gotten through it together."
"I need to be strong by myself. You won't always be around me to help. Plus, the hokage needs to protect everyone, even his second in command."
I go to retort him, but Mizuki walked up and started talking to Naruto.
I couldn't hear much of it, but I heard something about a forbidden scroll and an alternate test. I don't believe that he's sincere though. His eyes don't look like it.
I ignore it and just spend the day with Naruto as he celebrates my graduation.

It's about midnight. I hear Naruto leave the house, and I start following him. He's headed into the hokage tower through the window.
'This can't be good. I oughta watch over him for a while longer.'
He left with a scroll after a minute and headed into the forest. I'm watching over him for about an hour. I activate my sharingan to see what he's learning about.
'What?! Jutsu?'
He was practicing a jutsu called the shadow clone jutsu. It only seemed to take one seal. This can't be too bad, but I don't trust Mizuki.

After an hour, Iruka shows up and starts berating Naruto for taking the scroll. Naruto just looks confused and says that he completed the alternate test that Mizuki told him about. Iruka's eyes widen, and Mizuki shows himself.
"Die, demon."
He says as he throws a demon wind shuriken and hits Iruka with it.
As I see this, I jump down and grab Naruto. I start taking him away from the two of them.
"C'mon. We need to get away"
"No. We have to go save him!"
He shakes me off and starts heading back. I have to quickly turn around and head after him. As I catch up, I see a hundred clones of Naruto. I'm absolutely amazed by this. There's so many of them. As soon as I think this, Naruto beats Mizuki with all of them. Iruka stumbles to Naruto and hands him the headband.
"Congratulations Naruto. You're officially a genin of the hidden leaf."
O=O=O
I'm nervous. It's time for team assignments. We just managed to get to the academy right on time.
….(The teams are basically all canon. Except Sakura will be replaced by Kin. She's around tho. I promise.)
"Team 7 will contain Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, and Kin Kaze. Your Sensei will be Kakashi Hatake."
Naruto and I share a glance and smile.

It's been three hours. Before I realized it, everyone was gone.
"This blows." I say as I kick my feet up and start trying to nap. As soon as this happens, the door opens, and Kakashi is hit by the eraser that Naruto must've placed in the door.
"My first impression is that I'm not very fond of you three. Meet me on the roof in 5 minutes."
Kakashi said as he shushined away.
We all groan and head up to the roof. As we arrive, Kakashi motions towards some seats, and we all sit down.
"Okay, we'll have some introductions. Your name, hobbies, likes, and dislikes. You there. Go first."
He motions towards Naruto, and Naruto starts us off.
"My name is Naruto Uzumaki. I like ramen and simile the time it takes to make ramen. I'm gonna become the hokage someday." He says and he points his thumb to his chest.
"Next, you." Kakashi points to Sasuke.
"My name is Sasuke Uchiha. There's not many things that I like, and there's many things that I dislike. My ambition is to take revenge on a certain someone." Sasuke says, looking very emo in my opinion.
"Finally, you" Kakashi points towards me.
"My name is Kin Kaze. I like girls and dislike assholes. My hobbies are training and reading. Also, aren't you gonna introduce yourself, Kakashi-sensei?"
"Yes, I will Kin. My name is Kakashi Hatake. I have likes and dislikes. I also have hobbies." He says as he eye-smiles towards us.
"That's fair. So, what next, sensei?" I ask.
The other two look slightly annoyed, but I guess I'm just unaffected by it.
"Meet me at Training Ground 7. Oh yeah, you shouldn't eat breakfast or you'll puke." He says and he just leaves.
"Well then. I guess I'll see you two later. I'm gonna go train." I say as I leave.

I decided to sit at the training ground and train my sharingan. I activated it and did all of my usual training. I felt very drained after this, so I decided to get something to eat.
(Note: The training has been increased since the beginning of the story. It's been increased to 5 miles, 500 push-ups, and 500 sit-ups. They also do some chakra weight training as well. Not all the time yet, but during the training sessions. They also do an hour of chakra control.)
I was walking, and I decided to eat at the dango shop. It was right there, and I haven't had it in forever. As I sat down and ordered, one purple-haired kunoichi sat down at my table.
"What's up, brat? It's been awhile since you've been around. I thought you'd up and died." She says as she starts laughing.
"Not dead yet, thankfully. Just got my team assignment, I'm on Kakashi's squad."
"You what?!," she coughs, "I mean, that sucks, kid. Kakashi is a tough teacher."
"What do you mean?" I ask her.
She just looks at me and says, "He has very tough rules as a leader, but it'll end up fine." She ends off laughing. "If anyone can pass his test, then I'm sure you can since you're such an ass."
"I don't know if that's a compliment or not, Anko. I have confidence though. Thank you."
"No problem, kid. Now get out of here and give me your address. I'll bring your food by. I just can't be seen with a kid like you by my friends." She says while looking around.
"Are you kidding?! This sucks. Fine, here you go. I'm expecting all of it!" I yell as I walk away after handing her the address.

It's about 8 pm now. She still hasn't brought the food. I should've just gotten ramen.
"Hey Naruto, is there any miso ramen left in the cabinet?"
"Yeah, there is."
As I walk up to the cabinet, there's a knock at the door, and Naruto opens it. There's Anko there with some food. Naruto turns and looks at me. He smirks and just says, "Hey, Kin. Your girlfriend is here!"
I blush a tad bit. "She's not my girlfriend. She's just uh the delivery lady for a restaurant I go to." I say as I walk out of the apartment and close the door behind me.
"Oh? You like me, brat? Hahaha, that's cute." She laughs.
"Shut up. It's not like that. Can I have my food?" I immediately felt bad cause it sounded harsh to me.
She pouts.
"Uh, sorry. I didn't mean to be that harsh."
She just laughs at me again. "You're too naive, brat. Here's your food. Don't be a stranger." She then walks away.
I go back inside, and Naruto is just smiling at me.
"Oh, shut up." I say as I hand him half of it and go to lay down and read.

It's the same time Kakashi told us to be here, but he's not here yet. Again. So, I went to grab something quick for us all to eat. I got back and handed them both some nutrition bars and some water.
"Here you guys go. I think we'll be here for a while, so we should eat up and rest before he gets here."
Sasuke grunts, and Naruto thanks me. We all start eating.

An hour and a half later
Kakashi shows up finally. He pulls out a clock and some lunch. He gives us an eye smile. "Alright. You have until noon to take these bells from me. There's only two, so one of you will be sent back to the academy. Begin!"
Sasuke moves toward the trees somewhere, but Naruto and I stay in plain view.
"I don't know if you two are confident or stupid."
"Hah, we can take care of you, Kakashi-Sensei. Don't you worry."
I nod and get ready. "Alright, Naruto. Let's get those bells."
We both rush towards Kakashi. Naruto goes for an axe kick. Kakashi dodges it and sweeps Naruto. I go for a straight kick, and he dodges it by dropping on his back. He then sweeps me too, but I catch myself with my hand and spin to give me the momentum for a kick towards him. Kakashi grabs my leg and kicks me away.
I get up and yell at Sasuke.
"Hey, Sasuke. Can you lend us a hand or something?"
Naruto creates 10 shadow clones and starts running towards Kakashi. I follow soon after and activate my sharingan. Kakashi quickly dispatched the clones with shuriken and kunai. Naruto goes for a haymaker and gets caught by Kakashi. He throws Naruto at me. I dodge while creating a shadow clone to catch Naruto. Kakashi saw my eyes and was shocked, so I used that to my advantage. I created another clone. I kicked towards Kakashi as the clone jumped to the side and threw the kunai at the bells. Kakashi gets hit by my kick, but he turns into a log. I quickly look around and can't find Kakashi.
"Beneath you, idiot!" Sasuke yells at me.
I quickly dodge to the side as Kakashi jumps out from under where I just was. Naruto and Sasuke prepare themselves as I do. We rush forward, and Kakashi dodges my kick and Sasuke's kunai. Naruto and his clones go for an axe kick and they manage to hit Kakashi. He substitutes with a clone and gets away. But Sasuke shoots a fireball at him. I run to one side and yell at Naruto as I make a clone.
"Go to the other side!"
Kakashi jumps to my side, and I catch him mid-recovery and clip the bells. They fall to the ground. I substitute with one and grab the other one. I toss them to the other two and look at Kakashi.
"I guess I fail then, huh?"
Kakashi just starts laughing and smiles at us with his eyes.
"You all pass."
"..."
"..."
"... what?"
"The test was based on teamwork which you three showed. So, you all pass. Meet here tomorrow at 10 am for your first Shinobi mission." He says and disappears.
"Well… we did it." I say. Still rather shocked.
Sasuke grunts.
Naruto just yells. "Yesss! We did it!!!"

Training ground 7 at 10 am
We arrived at 10 and waited for Kakashi. He finally showed up at 11.
"Alright, you three. Let's go do your first mission."
O=O=O
A few weeks later
"I hate D-Ranks. They suck. I will always hate them and this stupid cat." I say as I'm holding Tora.
"Agreed." says Sasuke.
Naruto just pouts with scratches all over his face.
"Kakashi, when can we do better missions? This is boring and lame." I say as we leave the Hokage Tower.
"We'll get there, Kin. For now, we have some new training to do."
O=O=O
We arrived at the training ground, and Kakashi handed us all a piece of paper.
"These are pieces of chakra paper. They tell you what your chakra affinities are. All you have to do is put your chakra into the paper."
We all do that. Naruto's paper is cut in half. Sasuke's paper crinkles and burns. My paper gets wet and crinkles.
"Ah, this is interesting. Naruto, your affinity is wind. Sasuke, your affinities are fire and lightning. Kin, your affinities are water and lightning. I'll give you each two jutsu per affinity." He creates two shadow clones and separates us.
"Alright, Kin. For your water affinity, I have two beginner jutsu for you. I have Liquid Bullet and Hidden Mist Jutsu. The lightning jutsus I have for you are Lightning Style: Overdrive and Lightning Style: Violet Bolt."
"I'm ready to learn, Kakashi-Sensei."
Kakashi showed him the two water jutsu first. "For the Liquid Bullet, you have to concentrate the chakra in your lungs. For the Hidden Mist Jutsu, you use your chakra to make mist and control the thickness with your chakra."
He showed me the jutsu, and I was able to get them on the first try. These are incredible. I can't wait to get stronger and train these. The lightning techniques were a tad bit harder, but it wasn't bad. They definitely make me feel cooler. I can feel my chakra drained a tad bit. I'll have to train using my chakra more now that I have stuff to use it with.

We all meet together after he finishes meeting with us. I look at the two of my squad mates.
"How did you two do? Like the new Jutsu?"
Sasuke nods and says, "Yeah. I think that this will make you guys more usable."
Naruto just smiles and says, "I won't lose to either of you."
I start laughing. "You two are too much sometimes. Imagine thinking that you're able to beat me."
"Hey! You're not that strong."
"What's that supposed to mean, loser."
I just laugh again and tell them that I'm going to go get something to eat.

I stopped at a different training ground instead. I wanted to train these water jutsu more. I spent a half hour practicing my water jutsu while having my sharingan active.
After that, I went to the dango shop for some sweet, sweet food. I sit down and order some food, and I wait.
I keep on waiting for about 30 minutes, then I just start eating my food. I wait a little longer, and the owner sits down at the table.
"Are you waiting for Anko? She won't show up today. She's out at the bar this time every week. Who knows? Maybe you can find her and bring her some food. On the house, of course."
"I'll try my best, but I don't think I'm that important. Thank you, Honmei."
(Note: I just wanted to give him a name cause I don't think they ever give him a name.)
"No problem, kid. Come back anytime."

I started looking around the red lights district. I found five bars, but I didn't know which one to search first. So, I decided to go from the most suspicious ones to the least. Luckily, or unluckily, I found her at the third one. She didn't notice me as I walked up and sat beside her.
The bartender walked up. "Hey kid. What do you want?"
"Uhh, I'll have the weakest thing you have."
"Alright, here you go kid." He says as he hands me a bottle of sake, and I pay him.
I finally turn to Anko and hand her the food. "Hey, Anko. Here's some food for you from Honmei."
"Oh, hey kid. I didn think I'd shee you around here. Thanksh for the food." Anko said, visibly drunk.
"Uh, no problem, Anko. But do you want me to take you home? You're pretty drunk." I say with some worry in my voice given the place that we're at.
"Nah, you're too young for me, kid." She said laughing.
"... I'm 31 now…" I mumble to myself before looking at her. "Anko, I'm not hitting on you. I'm just worried."
She waves me off, but I decide to stick around outside while waiting for her.

I'm glad that I waited for her. As she came stumbling out of the bar, she was blocked by 5 guys. They looked suspicious and were being pretty lewd. Anko just waved them off, but they wouldn't let her leave. One of them started to get handsy, and my blood boiled. I activated the sharingan and jumped down to axe kick one of the guys. I hit him, and he's out cold. The other four are confused, so I use this opportunity to take down another with a well-placed punch and kick. The last one finally gets to his senses as Anko takes two of them down. He grabs her and puts a kunai to her neck.
"Don't come any closer, kid. Unless you want this hot piece to be spewing a bunch of blood." He said as he licked his lips and started groping her.
My rage was burning my insides. I hate scum like this. Something changes in my vision. Time seems to be immensely slow. I can see faint chakra signatures from them. My eyes focus on Anko, and she seems pissed and shocked at the same time. Shocked by my eyes and pissed about the situation. I use this opportunity to take a kunai, and I hit his arm with it. He drops the kunai and screams.
"Scum." I run up and knock him out with a stomp to the head. I grab a hold of Anko and lead her away.
"Damn, I knew I should've just made you go home earlier. Where do you live, so I can make sure that you get home."
"You worry too much, Kin. I could've handled it. Thank you though." She says as she led me to her house.
Once we arrived, I had to do a double take. Her house is pretty messy. Not terribly so, but still messy. But it's a nice little place that's in a good area.
"Jeez, do you know how to even clean?"
"Shhut up, kid. I can clean f.. fine."
"Sure. Go to sleep, Anko. I'm gonna clean this place up." I say as I start picking up the trash in her house and organizing things.
She just starts off to a door in the back while undressing. I make sure that I don't face the door as I clean.

About an hour later, I've finished up all of the cleaning and everything. I take a little piece of paper and write her a note. I put a glass of water next to it and the food that she still had with her.
'Drink water. And next time don't start getting naked in front of me without any warning. "YoU'rE ToO YoUnG FoR mE" tell that to your drunk self. -Kin.'
I finally go home and go to sleep.

Hah, sorry about that guys. I got bit by the writing bug apparently. I made a pretty lengthy chapter. Hope you guys enjoy it. These were my first attempts at a fight scene. It was kinda hard not to be repetitive whenever I don't have a lot of jutsu or weaponry to go off of. So, I apologize for that. Anyways, I plan on doing the Land of Waves shit next chapter. Thanks for the support or hate. As long as it's read then idrc. But yeah thank you very much for spending your time on this story, and if you want to follow and favorite then I'd appreciate it. I'd be more inclined to write a new chapter than play Dragonball Xenoverse 2.
