Chapter 3
Jake and his father made it to Cairnholm, where they stayed in the inn there. They walked inside with their suitcases and got the key to their room. Jake went by himself to see the house that Miss Peregrine's children lived in but found destroyed.
He went back to the inn, sad that somebody had destroyed the house, he decided he was going back to the house tomorrow. The next day came, and he got dressed and walked back to the house. He looked around the house and went up to the next level, he looked around but then saw a person standing there.
"Abe." The person said. Jake freaked out and ran down the stairs, and as he was heading outside, he tripped and knocked himself out. Bronwyn picked him up and took him to the entrance of the cave. They walked into the cave and entered the loop.
Jake ran away and back to the inn where the landlord confronted him, but Millard, Olive, and Emma saved him. They went back to the house where Miss Peregrine was waiting for him.
"Miss Peregrine delighted to meet you." Miss Peregrine said, shaking Jake's hand. They walked inside to get a cup of tea, then took it outside. Fiona grew a carrot for tea, and Bronwyn took it inside. Miss Peregrine introduced all her children to Jake.
"These are the twins, Claire, Hugh, Millard, who you already met, Horace and Emma. Olive and Enoch are inside." Miss Peregrine said. Then Fiona told her about a policeman at the door for her. Miss Peregrine talked her way out of getting into trouble, and the policeman left.
Jake helped Emma with one of her chores, and they got ready to have dinner.
