Sup guys, Lighting Wolf here, back for another story. This one about Naruto. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own Naruto, Masashi Kishimoto and a few others do.

The village of stone wasn't at all somewhere anyone expected to break into… then again? The figure currently doing so wasn't really what someone would call ordinary.

Nor did he wish to do so, the assassin always employed his skills to kill or retrieve… being a bounty hunter usually allowed him the ability to decide how to best bring down his enemy.

That said? being a Ninja from the Hidden Sand village was something the assassin was proud of.

Then they came, he didn't know why he accepted the job, maybe as a foolish way to try and retire from the vile lifestyle of taking life from a world that had already lost more than enough?

It didn't matter, they found him, and forced him to undertake the mission that he currently found himself at.

To kill the Tsuchikage and frame it so Sunagakure took the fall, setting up more conflict between the villages and hopefully in whatever sick pit of scum the 'client' called a mind? Start another damn war.

If it wasn't for the fact, they held his sister hostage? He'd sooner die, swallowing an explosive tag and taking the client to hell with him then betray his village. Betray his oath to his people.

He hated the client, if he had a dying wish? It would be to kill the client which he planned on doing.

Maybe that would atone for all the deaths he caused… he sighed, climbing the wall, trying to get to the work he did reluctantly.

He was a coward, being easily cowed into killing the Kage of the village. He only caved because they had numbers and skill, he'd destroy the rest of the group if he could.

"Forgive me…" The assassin was quick over the wall and into the compound, having crossed into many such areas before.

If it wasn't for the fact, he wanted to rip himself to pieces rather then carry out the sick deed? He would admire the beauty of his surroundings, instead? He was forced to sneak through the magnificent gardens.

"Damn it…" He sighed and was forced to throw something, he refused to kill the sentries. The assassin was going to kill the Kage, he wouldn't kill more people.

More blood being spilt would end up sickening him, more then it already did. He cracked his neck and sighed, the assassin had chosen to bring bombs laced with a scent that would knock out the sentries.

At least honest people who were defending their leader had more honor then him, a nameless thug with a blade.

He also carried a Kunai with a toxin that would kill quickly and painlessly.

"I'm going to murder him when I get back. I will make sure his death is painful, lasting… that it wipes the very smile from his worthless face when I fight him." The assassin muttered, he didn't care to speak, his tongue had already caused him enough trouble.

He would leave his sister to the rest of the care, the assassin didn't wish to be her protector, not because he didn't care about the life of her.

No, because it proved he was unworthy to be her guardian. She deserved someone who wouldn't slip up and cause mistakes.

These thoughts were meaningless as he scaled the tower to where the Kage was, he almost wished he could throw himself from the height.

God did he loathe himself, then again? There was a difference from being an honorable but pragmatic shinobi and being an unscrupulous assassin.

He sighed and slunk into the shadows, finally within range of his target, just a little further and his pathetic task would be complete.

He looked around, there was no sentries, then again? The Kage was the best warrior in the village, as was the last one. They were warriors, that was one reason they were left in charge of the shinobi around them.

He drew the blade from his side, trying to make sure it was ready for combat.

He sighed and looked around, no witnesses. He took off his headband. They'd find it believe someone had killed the Kage.

He stepped closer, hoping something went wrong, something had to go wrong.

A mistake would be nice.
