Epilogue

The sun was setting over the kingdom of Sindria. People were finishing work and preparing for another festival, that was probably held for some unimportant reason.
People of Sindria just loved to party.
The weather was still pretty warm and the sky was clear. And whenever you were, if you listened hard enough, you could always hear the sound of waves coming from the clear waters around the island.
It was a peaceful evening and the former prince of Heliohapt was finally done training. He spent many hours at the training grounds, catching up those few weeks when he wasn't. His ribs still hurt a lot, but the pain was acceptable.
He sat on the ground of the Scorpio Tower, looking at the sunset and thinking about everything and nothing. But after a long time, he felt peaceful.
"Done with your training?"
A soft voice spoke, and Sharrkan was quite surprised that she came to him. Not completely though. She did, sometimes. Sometimes, she looked at him and Alibaba training from her tower, or even came down with Aladdin to cheer on Alibaba.
And sometimes, just very hardly, she came to him on her own. Usually to scold him, to not overdo it. But whenever she did, deep down, he felt happy that she was concerned.
"Yeah."
"What about your ribs?"
"I can handle it."
"Okay, but remember not to overdo it. It will takes another few days before it gets better."
He chuckled at that. Yeah, she really did come to him just to tell him that.
"What?" She didn't understand his humour, but she haven't heard that sound in a while, so it was quite satisfying.
"Nothing. I was just thinking that you always go here only to tell me not to overdo it."
She chuckled as well. "That's not true. Sometimes I tell you to work harder, so you don't get fat."
"Yeah. But just so you know, I would still be hot, even if I got a bit bigger."
"You are not hot to begin with."
He laughed whole heartedly at her remark. Even though it annoyed him a bit that she always insisted on that. But she was still Yamuraiha, after all. "Right."
"I'm serious." The magician said, but she was smiling as well. She sat down next to him, resting her chin on her knees and looking at the sunset.
"Sure you are." Sharrkan smiled and sighed. "What about the experiment? I see you still have hair, so.."
She chuckled. "It didn't explode. It wasn't that serious, they could have just put borg over it and it would be good to go. Besides, it has to explode at some point to be a success. Just not now."
"Sounds complicated."
"I tried to shorten it so you would understand."
"You failed."
"Didn't YOU fail?"
"Not really." He laughed, and she shook her head, but smiled anyway.
After that, they didn't speak. They kept looking at the sunset, enjoying the quiet that they, for once, had around each other.
Minutes passed, and Sharrkan dared to look at the woman sitting next to him. Her ear shells were gone for once and her big signature hat laid next to her. Her hair moved quite freely around her, and her face had such a gentle expression, as her big blue eyes stared into the distance.
She was so beautiful.
When he thought so, her eyes moved a bit to check if he's looking at her, and when she found out she was correct, she looked at him, too. He kept looking at her, for once not panicking when they were this close.
"What?" She asked softly, in a voice that was just slightly louder than a whisper.
"Thank you."
"For what?"
He shuddered his shoulders, blushing a bit. "For everything."
She smiled again, blushing a little as well.
And as they sat there, she checked him once in a while, too. The sunset gave his skin such a bronze shade and his eyes were shining brightly. They were full of life again, and she was so glad they were. Her heart started beating a bit faster and she got this weird unknown feeling again.
What did this mean? Why did she feel this way around him? This stupid swordsman was just full of surprises to her. Just when she was finding at least some answers in her mind, he looked at her.
"What?" He asked.
"Uh.." She panicked a bit, before she realized why she was here in the first place. "I was just.. thinking.. right! I came here to give you the potion that will ease your pain."
"Really? I thought you were checking me just a while ago!"
"What? No way! You are imagining things!"
"Yeah, right!"
"I'm serious! Grah, why did I even bother bringing it to you." And at that, she stood up and left with her cheeks puffed up.
Sharrkan watched her leave, but just before she did, she screamed at him. "And don't sit here for too long, it's getting cold."
He rolled his eyes at her. "Yes, mother!"
After that, she stomped away with a small "Hmpf".
But after a while, he really stood up and prepared to leave. He even took the small glass full of… something, that made his pain go away for these past few weeks.
He started walking away, but stopped, to look at the bright sky one last time. The sun was just starting to fade from his sight, but he still caught the glimpse of its bright yellow color. It reminded him a bit of his dear student.
"Alibaba… wherever you are…" he paused and squeezed his eyes shut. It still hurt so much. It always will.. But despite the pain, he still gave one big smile to the fading sun. "Take care of yourself, friend."
And with that, he turned away and left.
