It was supposed to be a night to remember. It was Natasha's 100th birthday party. The big number. Natasha was counting her lucky stars that she actually got this far and was able to be there with her family the people she loved on this special Luckily her and Clint had managed to rein in Tony's attempts for an extravagant bonanza to a much smaller happier crowd dancing in the 40's themed space downstairs.

Everyone was dancing and relaxing as they mingled. It was mainly people from SHIELD and the Avengers invited. They were all happy and smiley thankful for this break from their normality of risking their lives almost on the daily.

Natasha was talking to everyone when suddenly there a kerfuffle near the entrance. Intrigued she looked over and saw a ghost and enemy from ger precious life. This shit wasn't going to blow over quickly. Pulling out her gun that was always on her person she made her way over to the commotion.

'James, I need backup. Everyone else stay back.' James pushed his way through the crowds until he got to Nat's side. When he looked at the person he realised the look of bitter resentment forming and the anger threatening to overflow. He hated this man. He had ruined every chance he had with the redhead in a previous life and had made his life hell.

'What a lovely welcome.'the figure said. He was obviously smug at this reaction to his arrival. They had obviously gotten soft since their time with him.

'What the fuck are you doing here Ivan'panicked Natasha. She was terrified. Not for herself however but for everyone else around her. They didnt need to be wrapped up in the nightmare that was her past.

'I would have expected a nicer reaction from you my dear'

'I said what the fuck are you doing here'

'Just giving a happy birthday to my wife. Oh I see you managed to pick up the trainer along the way. My congratulations to you.'

'Oh stop speaking shit why don't you.' Bucky retaliated. His anger had reached a boiling point and he was about to attack when Natasha hand on his arm.

'James, calm down. You aren't going to be much help if this goes to shit if you turn winter soldier.' Nat spoke trying to soothe him.

'Hold up. What the fuck is going on here?'Stark called out making his way to the front. He was utterly confused about the connection between his friends and the man that had just crashed the party. How dare he crash one of the famous Stark parties and he was mildly concerned for JARVIS. Tony wasn't the type to just sit back so he dared to be the first person to ask a question

'We will explain later just evacuate all the people' James replied hurriedly.

Ivan made no attempts to stop them as the crowds made their way out of the tower and headed home. Even had a look of shock and confusion but were glad to be granted safe passage home. Only the Avengers family stayed behind to deal with the man named Ivan.

'Now my wife would you explain to these people you call your family the true extent of your stories.' Natasha seethed he was obviously trying to put them against her and James. Hopefully they loved them enough for them to just listen. She decided to play his game.

'For that me and James are going to need several more drinks' Natasha replied as she made her way over to the bar and pulled out a bottle of vodka. She poured out two shots passed one to James and they both gulped them down.

'Tash, please dont let yourself get blackmailed into this.'Clint reasoned

And when she looked up all the emotion had gone off her face. She had the look of a cold hearted assassin and it was scary.

'To be honest I couldn't care less at this point in time.'she paused. She needed to put up a facade so that she could figure out what Ivan's plan was.

'I have a question' Tony piped up. Pepper smacked him round the back of the head but he still continued 'Who is this man and why is he referring to Barnes as Trainer.'

'I would like you all to meet my ex-husband Ivan. The marriage was exiled.' She added after hearing Ivan's protest. 'During the Red Room training I'd guess around seven months after Bucky fell off the train he was sent to the Room to train us. Mainly in weaponery and stealth. During that time he was referred to as Trainer or Soldat. After a couple months it turned into something of a romance. A getaway from the horrors. Unfortunately Madame B found out and we were both taken away. He was brainwashed as was I. I completed the graduation. I was reluctant however to join the KGB so they took we back to the machine and altered my memories to think of Ivan here instead. We got married and then they staged his death. I was emotionally blackmailed into becoming the Black Widow.' She finished. Everyone else was gobsmacked apart from two Avengers. Clint and Steve already knew about this. Clint because Natasha had told him and Steve because Bucky was rubbish at keeping secrets.
