Before you read there is a few things.
1.0 Red's character design (not personality) is based of Erza's mom. If you haven't seen Fairy Tail and don't know who that is, watch it.
2.0 I'm sorry but most of this chapter is a flash back. Naruto has taught me they are 'essential'. *Cough Cough nobody loves you Sasuke*
3.0 I might make a continuation of this story. My first draft is more then half way done. Giving my mind more space for other stories.
4.0 Tell my some of your favorite animes for another project i'm working on. Keep in mind that it will have something to do with One Piece (crossover) and that i haven't seen the Dragon Ball series, or Bleach.
5.0 Enjoy!

The red-haired boy stood in front of the smaller ones as a defense. His hair flowed to the right side of his head, covering half his face. The boy has long eyelashes, pale skin, and light green eyes. A green diamond shaped earring dangled from his exposed ear,. It gleamed when the sunlight hit it.
The four boys in front of him growled, "you can't protect her!" They spat. Their eyes darted to the girl curled up behind the defense. She was battered and beaten but held determination in her eyes.
The way her dark eyes slapped against theirs made them angry. "If you have such a big problem, then take it out on us." Another boy came out from behind them. His red hair shaped like a flame, and his eyes the same as the girl's. Goggles hung from his neck, sticking to his black tank top.
"Oh, if it isn't Eustass Kid! Saving your twin sister again? Are you taking responsibility for her actions? Do you know what she did? She stole from us again!" Kid huffed at their reasoning. He didn't care what they were saying, they hurt his sister and now they will pay. The twin sister pushed herself onto her feet, her muscles ached when she tried.
A hand pushed her down to the ground. When she looked up, she saw the kind eyes of her older brother. "Dagger, I-"
"Look little sis, we got this. Lay down and rest ok?" The older brother gave a smile to his sister. It was kind and welcoming, it made a warm emotion grow in her chest.
His head snapped to the boy's direction, his kind eyes changing in the process. "You think you two can take on the four of us?" One of them said.
"It doesn't matter if we can or can't." The older brother balled his hands into fist.
Kid walked towards the group of boys, "you hurt our little sister. And for that…"
"YOU WILL PAY!"
Both brothers punched the nearest person, landing a hit straight in their faces. The brawl went on for ten minutes before the group fled to the forest. Kid dropped to the ground out of exhaustion. He let out a satisfied sigh when his face hit the grass.
Dagger whipped some dirt off his face and chuckled, "you look tired Kid!" The brother plopped down on the ground next to the younger one.
"Shut up Dagger! You're pretty pooped yourself." The brothers let out a loud laugh.
The sister stumbled towards them, tears falling from her crimson eyes. She clenched her shorts and flung her head to face them. "I'm so sorry Dagger, Kid! I'm too weak!" The girl cried before falling to the ground with her brothers. Hot tears rolled down her cheeks at lighting speed. She felt helpless, weak, and guilty. They always save her, no matter what, they never back down when it comes to her.
Dagger lifted her head and smudged the water rolling off her cheeks. Her reddish eyes met his green ones, sparkling from the water still in them. "Don't say sorry Red, we are your brothers we have to protect you. What would dad say if we didn't." A laugh came out of the oldest as he spoke. The sister gripped her brother's hand and tore it away from her face, "one day, I'll save you! I promise!" Her ferocious eyes were easy to read for the oldest, she meant it.
"Not with your weak ass you will." Kid huffed, ruining the moment. The girl snapped her head towards her twin's direction, "what did you say Kid?!" She jumped on the younger twin, wrapped her legs around his neck and put him in a chock hold.
"Devils punishment!" She yelled, covering Kid's cries in pain.
The oldest one covers his mouth with his hand, shock coursing through his veins. "Kid, d-did you just say a curse word?!"
"She's choking me, and that's what you're shocked about! Oi, Red stop it!" Kid tried slapping her thigh to get her off, but she kept her hold.
"You're so young, you can't be saying such things. Oh? Red is that a new hold?" The oldest circled around the twins, inspecting the new move his sister came up with.
"Yes, I call it Devil's punishment." She said with a grin, completely ignoring the body under her struggling to breathe.
Dagger tapped his finger against his chin. "If you squeeze harder on the left side, it will increase the effect." He pointed out.
"Oh?" Red followed the tip, and just like that, Kid passed out. Red tapped on the top of her twin's head, when he didn't respond to the touch, she let go of him fully.
Both siblings tilted their heads to the side, "huh, looks like he passed out." Dagger muttered. He poked at Kid's cheek, when he didn't hear a growl he sighed.
"Let's lug him back." Red said, picking up her twin. Dagger helped her and lugged Kid back to the bar.
Smack, smack, smack, "WHAT HAVE I TOLD YOU GUYS ABOUT GETTING INTO FIGHTS!" Their mother's shout made everyone in the bar wince. The woman's anger was taking form as her green hair floated over her shoulders.
All three children touched the bumps forming on their heads. "Mom! I was the victim here!" Kid shouted at his mother, which wasn't a good idea. Another punch came raining down. "DID YOU RAISE YOUR VOICE AT ME KID!"
"WHAT IF I DID MOM! THAT FUCKING HURT!" Makino's eyebrow started to twitch, "did you just… CURSE AT ME!" Her anger tripled, meaning certain death for the children.
"Come on Makino, they're kids." Benn commented. Benn was the right-hand man of the Red-Haired Pirates, and Shanks's best friend.
"Yeah Makino, relax a bit." Yasopp added, twirling his liquor in his hand. Both men sat next to the kids at the bar, trying to save them from punishment. But…
Smack, smack. "YOU GUYS NEED TO BE BETTER UNCLES!" She lectured and waved her finger in front of their faces.
Both men clutched their bumps. "Now you know how we feel." Dagger whispered. Makino huffed when she heard the comment.
"Hey Makino, do you know where Shanks is?" Lucky asked, walking up to the bar. He saw the pleading eyes of the captain's children and crewmates. "I see the co-captain gave you a beating!" Lucky laughed and gripped his gut.
Yasopp and Benn rolled their eyes, you don't understand. They both thought before turning back to Makino.
Makino's personality turned upside down. She gave a sweet smile, "Shanks is upstairs with Nako. They are both sleeping, please don't disturb them." The bartender started washing dishes as she spoke.
"You know, you need to stop popping out kids Makino! The man barely eats, barely sleeps, and he's always stressed!" Lucky's laughter was suppressed by the chicken he was chewing.
"Yes, because he's the one that goes through nine months of pregnancy." Makino said with a laugh.
"I don't know Makino; he's been gaining weight recently!" Yasopp chuckled.
"Soon he'll be getting the same gray hairs he gives me!" Benn added. All of them laughed over the sound of the stairs creaking.
"I have not been gaining weight, and I will never look as old as you." Shanks blurted. He poked his head into the bar and glared at his crewmates and family.
Yasopp saw the state Shanks was in and laughed, "you look like a mess captain!" The sniper was right. Shanks's red hair was all over the place, messier than usual. The man looked like he was carrying cinder blocks in his eyelids, and the stubble on his chin resembles a forest.
The man yawned at the insult, not caring about the way he looked. He needs food, badly. "I don't understand it boss. Makino looks like a goddess, while you…" Lucky trailed off and gripped his mouth to hold his laughter.
Benn snapped his fingers when he found a perfect comparison. "An out of order bathroom at a gas station." The crewmates and family laughed.
Shanks snorted and rolled his eyes. "Boss, how many kids are you gonna have anyways? You already have four."
Makino answered the question, "no more. I'm already busy enough." The mother huffed, avoiding Shanks's pleading eyes.
"Come on Makino… one more." Shanks tugged on her shirt as he begged. The woman pointed at the three children in front of her, "you've said that three times."
"And look how great they turned out." Shanks tried to reason, pointing at his beautiful children.
"Shanks, you don't get enough sleep with Nako still a baby, and I know you can't stay in the village for long. You are an emperor, remember?" Shanks pouted, he hated when his wife was right. Which happens a lot.
While the adults discussed the 'just one more talk.' The children went their separate ways. Kid went to go practice his devil fruit, a gift given to him for his birthday from his father. Dagger went to go study upstairs; he is the smartest and nerdiest sibling. Red went to walk around the island, as she normally did.
Red stopped in the middle of the road when she saw two boys huddled near the forest. Her eyes widened once she realized who they were, "Sabo! Luffy!" The girl ran up to the boys, happy to see them.
She stopped once she saw the tears in Luffy's eyes. Seeing the little boy with puffy eyes and stained cheeks made anger brew inside her. Sabo looked up when he heard footsteps. He was surprised to see a now pissed Red standing over him.
Her hands in fist, her eyes wide, and her hair began to flow with her anger. "Who did this?" She asked in a low and dark voice. Luffy is like a little brother to her, and so is Sabo. Seeing anyone she cares about hurt drives her over the edge.
Luffy looked up when he heard her voice, "Red…" he mumbled before jumping into her arms. The girl gripped onto him, "who did this?" She said in a calmer voice.
"It was the devil, he-he s-said he does-n't w-want to be-be my b-brother." Luffy let out a cry from the words. Red turned to Sabo, expecting a better explanation.
"They don't get along that well. The devil always tries to push Lu away." Sabo sighed. Red patted the younger one's head, her fingers trailed through his hair and calmed his nerves.
Red cupped Luffy's chin and brought his face to meet hers. "Let me go talk to the devil ok?"
"Red I don't think you sh-"
"Where is he?" She interrupted Sabo.
The blonde winced from her tone; she isn't going to let this go. Sabo sighed again and pointed to the forest. Red nodded and followed the direction.
It didn't take long for Red to see a trail of smoke behind trees. She followed it till she saw a freckled brunette, eating meat with a disgruntled face. Her footsteps startled the devil, he gripped his pipe and got into a battle stance. When he saw Red he scoffed, "what the hell do you want monster."
The two of them don't know each other's names. They've seen each other many times but they just call each other by their nicknames. The devil and the monster.
Red didn't answer the question until she was right in front of the brunette. "What the hell is wrong with you? You made Lu cry!" The girl snapped. Ace clenched his pipe tighter from the mention of the younger one.
The devil squeezed his eyes shut as he yelled, "He is not my brother, I have no brothers! I have no family! We are not related!" Since his eyes were close, he was surprised when a hand slapped against his cheek. He was even more surprised when he heard the girl he feared so much. The girl that is known as the red monster. Cry.
Tears flooded her eyes from his words, Ace turned his head to meet them. Her eyes screamed in anger, as if he'd crossed the line. Which he has. "How dare you! How dare you say that about Luffy!" The boy was confused, is she this mad because of Luffy? Why does she care? They aren't family. "W-why do you care anyways. You guys aren't family!" Another slap came from his words. This time, his head stayed tilted from the impact.
"Blood ties don't matter! Do you hear me?! Family is the bond people share, not the blood that's In their veins! I may have my family, I know you don't, but… LUFFY AND SABO ARE STILL MY BROTHERS! STOP BEING SO STUBBORN ACE, EVERYONE KNOWS YOU FEEL THE SAME!"
Does she truly believe that? Is it possible for someone to mean those words? Ace turned his head, facing her ferocious eyes. She meant it.
"What if Gol D. Roger had a kid huh? Would you still mean those words?!"
"Yes." She answered, without hesitation. Ace gaped in shock, she didn't stutter, hesitate, or think about the statement. She said yes, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
Is this why Sabo and Lu are so attached to her? This girl is…
"Children don't get to choose their parents, if Roger had a kid, I would have no problem with making him my brother."
Her brother…
While Ace went into deep thought, Red left without another word. She meant what she said, no matter what, those three will always be brothers to her.

Red pov
What is this feeling? Where am I? It's dark yet cold, empty yet suffocating. Where am I? I tried moving my body, but it didn't respond. I felt exhausted, pushed past my limits. When I try to remember what happened, I draw a blank. Did something happen?
My brain felt foggy, my body felt heavy. Was I drugged? Where's Thatch- pain started filling my back from the mention of the woman. Memories flooded back, the shopping, the bathhouse, the commander, the pain.
I tried to grab the skin the pain was affecting, but I couldn't move. The more I thought about the memories, the more the pain grew. It was as if a knife kept stabbing me across my back, adding more scars.
No, not more of them. Don't I have enough? Why can't the pain leave me? I don't want the memories anymore. I want to forget him and the pain.
Even though it was pointless, I kept trying to move. My body glitches when it tries to reach that one spot on my body. Soon enough, I gave up. Once my arms relaxed, the stabbing sensation grew across my frame.
My body twitches every time the knife strikes. Screams crawled out of my mouth, expressing my agony. A liquid settled on my tongue and flowed down my lips. From the iron smell, I could tell it was blood.
My eyes started to water in relief. The only way to get through this pain, is to end it all. My lips curled into a sad excuse of a smile. The blood kept flowing out of me, soon I'll have none left
Mom, dad. I wish I could see you again before I go, but just know I love you. Thank you for everything you've done for me.
Kid, Nako. I'm sorry I couldn't keep my promise to you guys. I'm sorry I couldn't protect you.
Dagger, there is many things I want to say to you, but if I'm dying, I rather end with thank you.
Whitebeard, I'm sorry my time on your crew was so short. You're like a second father to me, old man, I hope you know that.
Thatch, you were the best sister I could ask for. I'm sorry I'm leaving you as the only girl of the group.
Boa, I'm sorry I couldn't keep my promise to you. You will always be my friend.
Izo, I'll miss you and your lectures. Take care of Thatch for me.
Ace, Sabo, Luffy. I hope all your dreams will come true. You guys will always be important to me, no matter your heritage.
I'll be joining you soon, Blue.
Marco… I wished I could've told you the truth. I wish I could've told you
I love you.
