The smell of lies

Red pov

My eyes opened from the beaming light hitting them. The first thing I did was sit up, a smile appeared on my face when I felt no pain, I felt good as new. Moving my arms and legs around was different, I was still a little sore, but I'll manage. I frowned when I saw that my room was empty, not even Marco was there. What time is it? When I looked at the clock, a sigh escaped me. That's why, everyone's eating lunch. As if on cue, my stomach growled.

"Might as well go up there." I muttered to myself. My regular jumpsuit was laying on the couch, I put it on and walked to the top deck. Walking was easy, walking up the stairs was painful. It took me five minutes to walk up the stupid things. Who made these death traps anyways? Stupid!

Once I got onto the top deck, I saw Pops talking to someone I've never seen before. The man was taller than me with black curly hair. His scent was unfamiliar and made my nose scrunch, he had the scent of a liar. Dirty and disgusting. What could the man be lying about? Only one way to find out.

Walking closer to Whitebeard made that nasty smell increase, it smelled rotten. Pops noticed me walking up to him with a disgruntled face, he frowned. "Are you ok brat?" the mystery man Pops was talking to turned to face me. His face was almost as disgusting as his scent, Zehahaha! You must be the new recruit."

The man stuck out his hand for me to shake it. I did, I didn't want to be rude, even though I made a mental note to cover my hands in soap later. "My name is Red, what's yours?" The man gave me a toothy grin, "Teach, it's nice to meet you pretty lady." Teach's eyes traveled from my face to my boots.

"Be careful Teach, Marco has already claimed her. Gurarara!"

"Pops!" I whined in an embarrassed tone.

"Am i wrong? You love my son, isn't that right." my embarrassment tripled. Does everyone know? They probably do… my life is over…

"I do… but…"

"But." Whitebeard repeated. Are we really going to have this conversation in front of the stranger?

"I'll tell you later." I turned on my heels and walked away from the captain and Teach. Something about Teach bugs me, I need to ask the commanders for more information about him.

When I walked into the room, everyone cheered. They all looked relieved and happy to see me back on my feet. "Red! I'm glad you're ok! Let me finish cooking and I'll come sit with you." Thatch gave me a sweet smile. I missed the ship, and the people in it, I wonder what happened to the gathering?

"Oi! Red, come here!" Jozu called from a table across the room. I am friends with all the commanders, even though I mostly sleep on the deck. So, I wasn't surprised when the rest of Jozu's table cheered for me to come over. Jozu sat with commander Vista, commander Fossa, commander Jiru, and commander Haruta.

"Hey everyone." I greeted with a smile.

"How's it been? Are you feeling ok? Why don't you eat with us?" The short boy named Haruta asked. He has light brown hair, dark blue eyes, and pale skin. He is the energetic one out of the commander's and is always curious.

"I'm feeling good, and sure I'll eat with you guys." Haruta was shocked by my answer, so was everyone at the table.

I flicked a brow, "what?"

"We thought you'd say no and sit with your boyfriend." Vista answer. You gotta be kidding me, everyone thinks that?!

"RED FUCKING EUSTASS!" my head snapped in the direction of the door. A shiver went down my spine when I saw a very pissed off Law and Kid in the doorway. Quickly, I hid my body behind Jozu, if those two see me here without telling them they'll kill me. Law might cut my head off and teleport it somewhere, and Kid will throw screws at me till I get tetanus. Yeah… i'll pass.

Jozu was confused about why I'm hiding but didn't question it. "I KNOW YOUR HERE RED! WHITEBEARD SAID YOU CAME IN HERE!" I whispered a curse under my breath and came out from behind Jozu.

Their eyes narrowed once they saw me walking up to them. I stopped in front of the table Ace, Marco, Izo, and Thatch were sitting at. All of them were giving me confused looks on why the two are so pissed, but I ignored them. Right now, I need to make sure my head stays intact.

"Damnit Red! You need to rest!" Kid snapped at me with a growl. I frowned at my younger twin, I didn't notice it before, but he's changed a lot. He's gotten taller, more muscular, and his voice is deeper. "Puberty really affected you huh." I mumbled.

My head tilted upwards to look into his eyes, he had a smirk stretched on his face. My eyes trailed downward. Studying his muscular body, which deepened my frown in the processed. Next, I looked at Law, who was also taller than me now. Even though the brunette is wearing a hoodie, I could tell he has gotten fit as well.

My fingers flicked against both their abs, "are these fakes?" I asked in a confused tone. There's no way my geeky twin brother. The one who was addicted to building weapons and cars from scratch, has a killer body. It's even weirder to see Law, the scrawny pale boy that would never put down his medicine book, look this handsome.

"Oi! What do you mean fake!?" Kid snapped.

"Yeah Red, we've gotten older, it's normal." Law said with an emotionless tone.

I crossed my hands over my chest and snorted. "There's no way you're my dorky twin brother, and my nerdy brother."

Law rolled his eyes, "you cannot be talking."

Kid huffed, "you used to be flatter than a board."

A muffled laugh came from the commanders, making my face flush. Both men smirked at my embarrassment, as if they were mocking me. My eyebrow twitched from their cocky faces; they did not just go there…

Third pov

Red's face boiled with anger and embarrassment, while the two men flashed mocking smiles. Ace choked on his laughter, "how flat are we talking?" the brunette tapped the table as an example. When Law and Kid nodded, he fell on the floor from his uncontrollable laughter. He clutched his stomach, the air in his lungs flowing out of him in vibrations.

Izo rolled his eyes at the second commander's childish actions. Thatch giggled at how funny Ace looked. Marco kept trailing his widened eyes up and down Red's body, surprised how much the woman 'developed'. I'm turning into such a pervert. The blonde mentally sighed

Red snapped her head towards the freckled moron, who was still laughing. When she did, she saw Marco's intense stare directed on her curves. Mainly her chest, "stop looking at me Marco!" Red flicked Marco's forehead to bring him back to reality. "Oh sorry, yoi." the first commander smiled nervously.

"Whatever, I'm going to the island. I want to see Luffy, bye." Red stomped away from the commanders and brothers, leaving guilt in the room. Well, Marco felt guilty, the brothers followed her.

Izo stood up from his seat, "lets go. Ace, Thatch, stop laughing, and Marco…" Izo turned to the blonde. His pout resembles a kicked puppy, "stop looking like an abandoned dog. She isn't mad at you; she can never be mad at you. Now let's go, I'm curious to see this Luffy person."

The commanders said goodbye to Pops and headed to the island. Marco was still frowning, his pout leveled up, he is now a newborn puppy with no family. The sight made Izo take pity on Marco, but he doubts Red is mad. She just wanted to get away from him before her brothers said something worse. On the other hand, Ace is the happiest person alive. He gets to see his younger brother after being apart for years. Thatch is just happy to be off the boat, Red told her the first place she wanted to go when she was rested. So, she is leading the way for the commanders.

Thatch leaned into Izo, "What if we run into celestials." she whispered, even though everyone heard.

"Well, we shouldn't draw attention to ourselves, so we'll avoid them at all cost yoi." Marco responded with a deeper frown. I hope Red is ok, and I hope she doesn't run into any of those bastards.

"Where are we going anyways?" Ace asked when he was done fantasizing about seeing his younger brother.

"It's called Shakky's rip of Bar. I don't know why she picked it, but it seems important to her." Thatch answered.

It didn't take them long to reach the bar, well if you could call it that. The building looks like a gush of wind could knock it down. "Are you sure this is the place?" Izo asked Thatch. Thatch nodded, making a sigh escape Izo. Of course Red would pick a weird place like this.

A scream came from the bar. The commanders didn't waste any time hopping onto the hill the bar was on and busting into the building. They were surprised to see Red on top of someone and ten people staring at her in shock. The bartender wasn't in shock, she had short black hair and a small smile.

There was a man with green hair carrying three swords, a blonde with curly eyebrows, a reindeer? Three women. One with short orange hair, one with black shoulder length hair, and another with short green hair. A man with a long nose, a fishman, a starfish, a cyborg, and a skeleton? Izo recognized everyone but the starfish, fishman, and girl with green hair. The rest were the Strawhat pirates.

Which means… she's on top of… poor Marco. Izo looked at the first commander, his depression became visable as pity vibes floated on top of him. He's not even a puppy anymore, poor guy.

"Hmhdo hsjshn!" a noise came from the boy underneath Red. The woman grabbed the man's head and pulled it up for him to breathe. Thatch and Izo gave a disturbing look to the man and how he could stretch. Ace told them about the boy's devil fruit, but still… that's weird.

"I missed you so much Lu! How have you been? I saw the new article about Enies Lobby! Good job!" Red's smile was as big as Luffy. She missed her younger brother, he is always a ball of sunshine in her life.

Luffy grinned, "I missed you more Dem Dem! I'm good, how about you? Oh, and I kicked their butts for my crew member." the rubber boy stretched his hand and gestured to his shocked crewmates.

Red looked up and smiled, "hi there! I'm Red, Lu's older sister." Robin and Brook started to chuckle. "Nice to meet you." while the others stayed in shock, Red turned her attention back onto Luffy. "I brought you someone…"

Luffy tilted his head up to look behind his sister, his eyes grew wide when he saw the grin of his older brother.

"ACE!"

"LU!"

Ace jumped onto the two and grabbed them into a hug. Izo and Thatch smiled at the affection, but Marco… Izo turned around to check on the blonde. He was now leaning against the wall for support, looking like he's seen a ghost. Jeez, he's long past puppy…

The siblings exchanged greetings, still in the hug, which almost killed Marco. But then they took a seat at the bar.

"Ok, Ok, so you're telling me your Luffy's siblings? By blood? Dragon had more than one child?" Nami asked, trying to get her thoughts in order.

"No, we are not family by blood, not that it matters." Ace answered.

"Yes, my dad is actually Red-Haired Shanks." Red said in a causal tone, as if it did not send everyone's mind spiraling.

"Shanks had a kid?" Robin asked.

"Yes, four actually. My twin is Eustass Kid." Chopper felt like his mind was going to explode. Eustass Kid was the captain with a higher bounty than Luffy. The one from the worst generation Shakky was talking about.

"Hold on, i get how Ace knows Luffy, Luffy told us about him, but how does he know you." Zoro's question made the siblings tell them the whole story. Izo and Thatch just sat back and watched, Marco was still collecting himself.

"That's about it. Oh, and I'm the second division commander of the Whitebeard pirates." Ace pointed at the mark on his back. The Strawhats gasped, HOW COME EVERYONE IN LUFFY'S FAMILY IS A BIG SHOT?!

Nami looked at the people Ace and Red brought with him. Sixteenth commander of the Whitebeard pirates Izo, fourth commander Thatch, and..

"ARE YOU MARCO THE FUCKING PHOENIX?!" Sanji shouted, amazed the man was standing right there in front of him. The man is the first division commander of the Whitebeard pirates! And has an over one billion berry bounty.

Marco turned to face the blonde and gave him a nod, "hey, yoi."

"AWESOME!" Chopper and Franky said in unison. Marco gave a sheepish smile, not knowing how to deal with his 'fans'.

Brook kept his attention on Red, he walked up to her and bowed his head. "Hello miss, you are quite beautiful. May i see your panties?" Everyone grew wide eyed at the man's question. DID HE JUST ASK THE DAUGHTER OF SHANKS! A CREW MEMBER OF THE WHITEBEARD PIRATES! TO SEE THEIR UNDERWEAR?!

Red gave a confused look before starting to pull her zipper down, "sure." she replied, shocking the others further. "DON'T YOU DARE RED!" Izo shouted, stopping the woman from stripping. Izo is starting to think Red has a mental problem, WHO DOES THAT?!

The redhead was confused by Izo's action's but shrugged. "Their black lace. If that helps you." Red said, making Izo's eyes fall out of her head. Brook and Sanji started to nosebleed from the information. The Strawhats were in the same state as Izo, the commanders laughed and everyone else. Well, not everyone..

Izo looked at Marco, the man was on his hands and knees, being crushed by the weight known as depression. Now this is getting hard to watch, I feel bad for him. "Why are they laced Red? For Marco?" Ace said, in between his laughter.

Red's face heated up from the comment… and Marco… the man was struggling to keep the blood in his nose. I take it back, I don't feel bad anymore. Izo sighed at his idiotic crewmates.

"It's great to see you Red." the Fishman, green haired girl, and starfish exclaimed.

"Hatchan! Camie! Pappag! I missed you guys!" Red got up and hugged the three.

"How do you know them?" Franky asked.

"I used to be on Hatchan's crew, and I met Camie and Pappag on Fishman Island." Nami flinched when Red said Hatchan's crew.

"Ho-how could you be on their crew." The tremble in Nami's voice caught everyone's attention. Her crew knows her past with the fishman, but the others don't.

"The Sun pirates saved me from the celestial dragons." Red said bluntly.

Nami knows who the celestial dragons are, Hatchan told them about them before. Doesn't that mean she was a slave? Why would a fishman save a human? And what are the sun pirates?

"When the crew disbanded, Hatchan went with the prick known as Arlong. Ugh, gross." Nami became more confused at Red's comment. He was in a different crew before.

"I'm sorry Red. I should've listened when you told me not to go." Hatchan gave an apologetic look to Nami as well, which didn't slip past Red.

"I'm guessing Arlong affected you too?" Red asked

"Yes, he took control of my village and made me steal money for him to get it back." Nami's hands balled into fist. The old memories traveled back but stopped when she heard a hand slap against skin.

When the navigator opened her eyes, she was surprised to see Red's hand in the air and Hatchan's face with a hand mark. "Damnit Hatchan! How could you do that? You moron! Say sorry to this poor girl." Red demanded. Hatchan obeyed, he knows how Red is, he knows that she knows the pain he feels. Unlike most people, Red always has a good reason for her actions.

"I'm sorry Nami." Nami could tell by the fishman's voice he meant it, but she was still too stunned to reply.

Red stepped in front of the woman, "now, I am not making an excuse for Arlong, he is trash. But, Hatchan was treated like trash because of humans. They think less of fishman, so I hope you can understand each other."

Red paused and turned to Hatchan. "Fisher Tiger would be proud of who you are right now, Hatchan."

"And miss, thank you for giving him a chance." Nami blinked a few times to process the information she just heard. When she did, she felt the redhead wrap her arms around her.

For some reason, the woman's words, her actions, makes her resentment melt away. It reminded her of her captain… "yes, let's start over Hatchan." Hatchan jumped for joy and joined the hug.

This woman may be more like Luffy then I thought. Nami thought, when she saw the grin Red was flashing.

I know Marco's bounty isn't said in the anime, but I think it would be over 1 billion. Around Katakuri's, maybe even higher. Yep, i brought Teach... disgusting... But i also put Lu and Zoro so that is a plus. I can't stand Teach, for obvious reasons. Fucking shit face! Ugh! Anyways, hope you enjoyed!
