(Marty and Doc arrive at the expo to watch his younger self drive the flying vehicle)
Sylvia: Ladies and gentleman! Our final science project presented by Emmett Brown. Give your hands together for his flying vehicle!
(Audience claps and cheers but Erhardt and Sarah Brown storm into the gym)
Erhardt: No! Where is that no good son of mine?!
Sarah: Up there with some vehicle! Emmett get down here right now!
Emmett: No! This is my own life and dreams! Not your guys'!
(Marty runs in front of them on the bottom of the stairs)
Marty: Mr. and Mrs. Brown. Let your son pursue his dreams as a scientist and an inventor!
Erhardt: What do you think you're doing Mr.?!
Marty: Listen Judge Brown. I know you and your wife want to do what's best for your son but you can't force him to go into a field he has no interest in.
Sarah: But law is the best field for him!
Marty: But he's more interested in science! So accept Emmett for what he wants to be!
Audience: Yeah!
Erhardt: Grrrr. But he's my kid and he will do what we want him to do with his life!
Marty: This is America and this is nothing like Germany where you were forced to enter a field your parents wanted you to enter!
Audience: Yeah!
Sarah: But.. But…
Marty: How did your parents feel at the time you left Germany for America?!
Erhardt: My papa didn't scolded me for my decision to move to America but I stood up to him so I could follow my dreams.
Marty: Then support Emmett and his future dreams!
Erhardt: Oh really? Do you think this performance will be a success or a failure?
Marty: It might be a success.
Sarah: Oh really? That machine? Won't look like a success.
Marty: Even if it does become a failure, you still should support your own son for his future. So what will it be? Allow Emmett to do what he's passionate about? Or force him to do something you guys want him to do?
The audience chants for Erhardt and Sarah to support Emmett in his dreams to become a scientist.
Erhardt: We have made our decision to support my son whatever he wants to do for the rest of his life.
(Audience cheers and applauses)
Emmett: Thank you mom and pop!
Sarah: Of course Emmett! We love you and will support you whatever you do as long as it's not something criminal or immoral!
Emmett: Don't worry mom I would never do anything to disappoint you and pop.
Sylvia: Anyways, let's give it up for Emmett's flying vehicle!
(Emmett rides his flying vehicle around the gymnasium with his parents smiling. The vehicle runs out of gas and lands to the ground but the audience still cheers)
Marty: Great job Emmett.
Emmett: That was a success but not sure if this accident will affect my future career.
Marty: Emmett. Your future hasn't been written yet. No one's has. Your future is whatever you make it. So make it a good one.
Emmett: I will Michael. Thank you.
