(Hill Valley changes to just plain land as a result of the ripple effect)
Verne: What's going on here?
Doc: Great Scott! Hill Valley just left us somehow! Must have been something Edna did in the past. But when and how?
Marty: (Sees a truck coming by them) Here's someone that could give us some answers.
William: Well you guys look lost. Is there anything I can help you with?
Marty: Yeah we're looking for Hill Valley.
William: Well which is it? A hill or a valley?
Marty: It's a town called Hill Valley.
William: Hill Valley a town? I know there was once a town here a long time ago but it must've gotten destroyed before I was born. My parents tried to buy land in this area when they first immigrated here but they got run off by Scary Mary.
Clara: Scary Mary?
William: Her real name's Mary Pickford. She scares people off if they don't agree with her on her morals. I go to her house every day to deliver newspapers for the Haysville Telegraph.
Doc: Can you tell us where we can find her?
William: On the edge of Shonash Ravine. But she's very difficult to get along with strangers so be careful and respectful. (drives away)
Clara: Could she be…
Emmett: We'll find out.
(They arrive at Edna's house on the train and get out)
Jules: This place has some cool stuff.
Doc: Don't touch anything boys. Just let us know if you find anything useful.
(Marty approaches the door but is tripped by a line which bangs the metal on the clothing liner)
Edna: (opens window) Stay away from my property!
Marty: (gasps) It can't be.
Doc: Pardon us for intruding madam but we were wondering if you could give us some information on what happened to Hill Valley?
Edna: I don't talk to hooligans! (slams window)
Clara: Very rude type.
Marty: Guys that was Edna.
Doc: Edna Strickland? It can't be?
Marty: This is how she was when I first met her in 1986. I had to go to her for information on where you were in 1936. But don't worry I'll take care of this.
(Verne knocks on the door and Edna opens the window again)
Marty: Hey Miss Strickland!
Edna: Who are you? And I'm Ms. Pickford!
Marty: I'm Michael Corleone. Don't you remember me with Carl Sagan over here with his wife and kids?
Edna: Ha! Those are foolish names! And I make it a rule not to talk to strangers with foolish names!
Marty: Come on Edna I mean Mary. Don't tell me you don't recognize us?
Edna: Hmmm you guys look familiar. Come close you two. (Marty and Doc look at eachother with concern and come closer) Ahh. Now I recognize you two. Stay there I'm coming down.
Clara: Hopefully she'll give us some information about what happened around here?
Edna: So what did you all come here for?
Doc: For some information on what happened to the town of Hill Valley. We were just at the Hill Valley Expo today and while outside at little after 5 PM we were seeing Hill Valley disappear before our very own eyes!
Edna: What is today's date anyways? Sorry I haven't kept track of dates very good lately.
Doc: Saturday October 10, 1936.
Edna: October 10, 1936? Hmmm. Oh yeah that was the day my ex-boyfriend Emmett Brown broke up with me. (cries) Why did he?
Doc: I'll tell you what I am Emmett Brown! And I came here from the year 1986! Well really 1893 since I married my wife Clara over here and have my two kids Jules and Verne with me and moved to the old west where I've been living since 1885 but I'm really from the late 20th Century.
Marty: And I'm Marty McFly the great grandson of William McFly who gives you Haysville Telegraph newspapers everyday. So give us the paper of when Hill Valley got destroyed!
Doc: (After Edna walks into her house and throws the paper at her) At around 10 PM on March 15, 1881, the palace saloon was burnt down along with the rest of Hill Valley by Mary Pickford resulting in the majority of the citizens being killed in building fires. She later shot down Chester the bartender while the saloon was burning, the founder William "Bill" Hill, and Beauraguard Tannen. Marshall Strickland and his son Roger escaped safe and sound. Sherrif Buford Tannen was killed in the burning inside the Marshall's office.
Edna: And that doesn't end there Mr. Sagan! (clicks gun)
Clara: No! Don't shoot my husband!
Edna: Shush lady! I'm going to shoot you along with your kids and Mr. Corleone after I shoot down…
William: Hey!
Edna: Willie! How much have you heard!
William: Enough of a months' worth of the Haysville Telegraph.
Edna: Get out or I'll shoot you too.
William: But you won't because that's against the law and you'll never break the law right?
Edna: Well….
William: (grabs her gun and shoots up in the air) This is your chance for you guys to skidaddle.
Doc: Come on guys! We got a mission to accomplish!
(Doc and Marty run to the DeLorean while Clara and the boys run to the train)
Doc: (while driving the DeLorean) Alright time circuits on. Setting the date for March 15, 1881 9:45 PM. Time to blast.
