Author's Note: and now the final songfic I did for UF Zine. What I like to call the Piece De Resistance.

Let me tell you this one was hard to do. To keep it true to the original and yet different.

This is of course set in the Swap AU version of Jail Break, where for the first time Dipper and Mabel fused together to become the fusion Twin.

Stronger Than You.

"WHERE ARE THOSE CLODS!"

"It's Peridot," the newly formed fusion of the Crystal Twins stated, "Steven, Connie you two have to find the others and get to the control bridge."

"But we don't know where they-"

"Hold that thought." They hushed Steven as they closed their eyes; in their minds their sight traveled through the halls until it reached three separate cells holding, Rose Quartz, Amethyst, and Pearl.

"Okay you two have to take five left turns and you'll find the others," They closed their eyes again, "And then take six right turns and you'll reach the bridge."

"Wait how do you know that?" Connie asked, confused.

"Future vision," The fusion explained, "I think being fused makes it work better."

"Now you two hurry and don't forget, five left turns for jailbreak then six right turns to the bridge."

"Wait, are you sure you can handle Peridot alone?" Steven asked worried along with Connie sharing that worry.

The fusion smiled and winked at them, "It's okay guys, I'm never alone.

Steven and Connie looked at each other and agreed. If Dipper and Mabel could watch each other's backs in the past then they could do it even better fused.

The fusion watched as their friends left for their mission and just in time too as Peridot rushed in on the opposite side of the fusion.

"Where are-wait who are you?" The fusion turned around their face showing un-flinched determination as they open their palms showing Peridot the two gems.

"Oh, so the Garnet finally shows herself," Peridot said in disgust, "You might have changed your appearance but I still recognized those gems, and to think this whole thing stated out because you wanted to stay fused, you are-"

"Hold the phone, Peri," The fusion interrupted, "Now give the phone to me."

Peridot raised an eye, "What's a phone?"

"I'm just going to say this once and only once, I'm not my mom. I'm someone you haven't dealt with before," The fusion straightened their vest and cracked their knuckles, ready for a fight.

"Oh really?" Peridot said in disbelief, "Then who am I talking to?"

The fusion chuckled, "Haven't thought of a name myself, but for now. Call me Twin."

Twin: This is Garnet's kids, Back together.

And I'm never going down at the hands of the likes of you, because I'm so much better, and every part of me is saying 'go get her'.

Peridot scowled at Twin as the two started circling each other, ready for one of them to make the first move.

Twin: The two of us ain't gonna follow your rules.

Come at me with all of your fancy tools.

Lets go just me and you.

Taking this challenge Peridot turned the fingers on her limb enhancer arms into drills and charged at Twin. But Twin smirked and turned their hat backwards.

Twin: Lets go just one on two.

Twin managed to dodged the first strike and ducked their heads at the second strike, then they leaped frog over Peridot while pushing her head down as they jumped over. In anger, Peridot turned around and went to slam both hand drills into Twin but the fusion flipped backwards causing Peridot to puncture the ground.

Twin: Go ahead and try to hit me if you're able.

Can't you see that the two of us are stable?

Bet you think they way we're fighting is confusing.

But I think you're just mad cause you're losing.

Twin then kicked Peridot in the face causing her to free herself but before she could do anything, Twin grabbed her arms and with a smirk started spinning her around and tossed her across the room and into a wall.

As Peridot stated picking herself up, Twin stated flexing their arms, amazed by the strength of their fusion they summoned their gauntlets and hand-motioned Peridot for more.

Twin: You're never gonna stop what we are together.

We are gonna stick together forever.

If you break us apart, we'll just come back newer, and we'll always be twice the gem that you are.

In fury Peridot charged her drills again and charged as Twin did the same and the two clashed.

Twin: I'm born.

O-o-o-o-of

Lo-o-o-o-ove.

The three Crystal Gems sat in their cells in defeat until Steven and Connie both arrived. Before the three could ask how they got here, the kids wasted no time in freeing them. Quickly the kids lead the gems to the control bridge where Lapis piloted the ship. Seeing the prisoners free She grabbed her destabilizer and was about to strike but Steven grabbed it and Connie jumped over him and kicked her in the chest knocking her down as the Crystal Gems rushed in to aid them.

Twin: Lo-o-o-o-ove.

Lo-o-o-o-ove.

As this was going on, the fight between Twin and Peridot continues on. Peridot was pushed back by one of Twin's punches and as Twin goes at her again, Peridot changed her left drill hand into a blaster and fired a shot at the fusion. Quickly Twin shielded themselves with their gauntlets but the impact of the blast pushed them down but Twin quickly got up as Peridot charged right to them.

Twin: Lo-o-o-o-ove.

"Don't touch that!" Lapis shouted as she struggled to get free from Amethyst's whip while Pearl guard her from behind, "You fools don't know what you are doing!"

"I think we got a pretty good idea of what we are doing," Connie remarked.

"Do you have the controls Rose?" Pearl asked worried as Rose sat on the pilot chair.

"Don't worry, I flown once," Rose commented as she looked at the controls, "How hard can that beWWOOOOW! Rose bellowed as she thrust her hands into the panel and along lines of data and code flashing through her eyes.

At the same time both Steven and Connie noticed on one of the monitors showing a live feed of the battle between Twin and Peridot.

Twin held both of Peridot's drill arms together and was nearly having a tough time holding onto them, so they quickly tossed her upwards.

But Peridot was expecting this and used her boots to rocket back down towards the fusion and fused both her drills into one big drill to strike a finishing blow, but Twin managed to grab ahold as both of them stared drilling downward until they reached the engine room.

Twin was the first to get up, while wiping some blood of their lips and they picked up their hat.

Twin: This is who we are.

This is who I am.

And if you think you can stop me, then you need to think again.

Peridot gave a mad smirk, ignoring that her lends was cracking. Twin saw Peridot taunting them with her drill arms but that only hardened their resolve to win this.

Twin: Cause, I am Garnet's children.

And I will never bend.

And I won't let you hurt my planet.

And I won't let you hurt my friends.

With a mad laugh Peridot charged, drills speeding fast ready to shatter, but Twin quickly summoned back their gauntlets and stated punching the drills one by one causing sparks to fly from each hit and even causing dents on the drills.

When Peridot tried to attack again, Twin grabbed the left arm and made it hit its twin causing both drills to break then Twin kicked Peridot in the stomach pushing her back.

Twin: Go ahead and try to hit me if you're able.

Can't you see that the two of us are stable?

I know you think I'm not something you're afraid of, cause you think that you've seen what I'm made of.

Peridot looked at her fingers, some of them where broken off or damaged but she had enough to make a blaster for both and stated firing but to her frustration, Twin managed to jump and dodged each shot.

Twin: I'm even more then Garnet was.

I'm the symbol of her cause.

Peridot gasped as Twin managed to get in front of her.

Twin: I am her fury.

Twin punched her with their left hand.

Twin: I am her patience.

Twin punched her with their right hand.

Then they grabbed Peridot's chin forcing her to look at them.

Twin: I am her son and daughter.

Then Twin punched Peridot in the face and right into the central core of the ship.

Twin: I'm born.

O-o-o-o-of

Lo-o-o-o-ove, oh-o-o-o-oh.

As Peridot screamed caused by not only the energy from the core but also the explosion of this. Twin quickly used this to escape and join the others.

Twin: L-o-o-o-o-ove.

And we're stronger than you.

The result of the explosion caused the bridge to shake knocking everyone down and also resulting in Lapis managing to free herself and escape by a blue orb that formed around her and launching herself back to the Earth.

Steven, Connie and the Gems looked the front window and watched in fear as they're getting close to the Earth, and not in a safe manner.

Twin: L-o-o-o-o-ove, o-o-o-o-of l-o-o-o-ove.

And we're stronger than you.

The group turned around as the bridge doors flew open and the gems gasped at an impossible/familiar silhouette appears.

"Garnet?" They said at once.

"Nope, just Twin," The fusion entered fully, "A little battered and bruised but A. O.K!"

The crystal gems where shocked at this and where about to ask questions but Steven and Connie came up to the fusion, "The ships going down what do we do?" Steven asked.

"We brace for impact what do you think?" Twin exclaimed.

"But what about Jasper?" Connie asked, "We can't leave her out-"

Twin placed a hand on Connie's shoulder and gave her a sad look, "I'm sorry, Connie but there is no time."

The ship shook violently again as it reached the earth's atmosphere. While this was going on, in another cell, Jasper, looking a little dejected prepared for the upcoming crash.

O-o-o-o-of l-o-o-o-ove, l-o-o-o-ove…

At this moment the hand ship made landfall at the beach near the temple, and what happens next… is another story.

Author's Note: It was fun and creatively challenging, doing the UF Zine, and WOW! My 90th chapter! Wonder what I'll do for the 100th? Oh well I cross that bridge when I get to it.
