Hey guys, sorry I haven't updated in a while, but I am trying to get better at this and I'll try to get at least 2K for the next chapter, but no promises. Now enjoy the chapter.
~Lunch~
"What were you thinking about during the lesson today Naruto?" Tenten asks when they sit near a tree in the back area of the academy. "I had a flashback Tenten, a flashback where there was a girl that looked like you before jumping and saying Moon Li..." Naruto stops and looks at Tenten and sees her shocked face. "What's wrong Tenten," asks Naruto.
"Were you going to say Moon Light Sword Style No. 17, Naruto," Tenten asks softly. Naruto just nods at this. "Naruto, when we have a spar session, spar me please." Naruto just nods at this and starts eating before Tenten continues, "And let me use my wooden sword." Naruto nods at this again seeing how Tenten is just going to use a wooden sword.
The bell rings signaling them to go back into the classroom. Naruto and Tenten look at each other for a moment before rushing to finish their lunch and quickly start running to the classroom when they finish.
~Classroom
Naruto and Tenten make in on time and rush towards their seats before the Chunnin instructor comes back into the classroom. The instructor walks into the class and starts gaining everyone's attention, "Today we are going out to the sparring ring, pick your opponent now and they can be boy vs girl if they gain my permission, the same idea with any weapons." Naruto immediately looks at Tenten, which she notices, and nods at Naruto.
Naruto and Tenten stand side by side waiting for the instructor to get to them. The instructor gets to them and starts by asking the two of them, "Are you two going to spar together." Naruto and Tenten nod at this before asking, "Can she use her wooden sword?" Before the instructor asks, Tenten quickly grabs her wooden katana and gives it to the instructor. He quickly thanks her before looking at the wooden sword and swings it a couple of times. He gives the sword back to her and says, "You may use it provided that Mr. Namikaze agrees." Naruto nods as soon as the instructor says this and he motions them to move one of the sparing rings.
~Sparring Ring~
Naruto walks up to the ring and sees Tenten walk up, while drawing her sword, as well. An instructor walks up to the ring and stands in the middle between the two before starting, "Make the seal of Confrontation." Naruto and Tenten quickly make the seal before jumping back to opposite ends. "The spar will end when one side is made unconscious, now begin!"
Naruto looks at Tenten and sees that she has her hand on her sword, which is against her left hip. Naruto shifts his stance to have his left foot forward and stands horizontally with both arms to the side.
Mira rushes at Naruto and starts by slashing towards Naruto's left arm. He lets his sword hit the side of his arm and deflects it before stating, "Renewal Technique: Bo-Bup." Naruto disappears in front of Tenten and reappears behind her. "Renewal Technique: Ground Drawer." Tenten jumps over his legs and sets up a guard when she sees Naruto going for another kick. "Renewal Technique: Hoe Grab." Naruto nails both of Tenten's arms and drag them down before continuing, "Renewal Technique: Tae Baek." Tenten gets launched across the room and slams into the wall. She slides down the wall and is completely unconscious due to the impact.
The instructor looks at Tenten and realizes that she won't wake up for quite some time. "Winner Naruto Namikaze." The instructor moves her towards the seats where the rest of the students are sitting. The instructor is about to tell Naruto to get off the ring before he notices a hand in the air. He looks towards the hand is shocked to see a Nara willing to do something. He motions for Shikamaru to speak his mind. Shikamaru nods at this before asking, "Sensei, can I please spar with Naruto?" The instructor is surprised at this request, but nods. Shikamaru stands up and walks up to the ring before taking a stance.
Naruto looks at his new opponent and notices that Shikamaru stands similarly to him, but with one big difference, his hands are balled up into fists and his feet are closer together. Shikamaru starts running at Naruto and starts, "Kyokushin Karate: Basic Punch." Naruto quickly moves out of the way and counters with a roundhouse to the body. Shikamaru grunts at this, but doesn't stop as he starts, "Kyokushin Karate: Choku Zuki." Naruto dodges the first punch to the chest but isn't prepared for the chop that knocks him down to his knees. Naruto looks up and sees Shikamaru's right foot coming towards his face. Naruto quickly rolls out of the way and does a kip-up back to his feet.
Naruto smiles at Shikamaru before starting, "Renewal Technique: Arang." Shikamaru is knocked back from the impact and looks up and sees that Naruto is starting something else. "Renewal Technique: Baek Rok." Shikamaru gets launched up into the air and hears, "Renewal Technique: Axe." Shikamaru gets launched back towards the ground is completely unconscious when he lands on the floor.
The instructor rushes to the unconscious Nara and quickly wakes him up. Shikamaru slowly gets up off the floor and walks towards Naruto. They quickly make the Seal of Reconciliation and walk back to the stands.
As soon as Naruto sits on the bench, however, he gets another flashback. This time, however, is not a girl that looks like Tenten, but a guy that looks suspiciously like Shikamaru. The man has his fist back before yelling, "First Stance: Fist of the Black Turtle!" His vision suddenly shifts and he is looking at a square-shaped object that had lights.
He then snaps back into reality as he realizes that the spars were over and people were starting to get up in order to leave. He then stands up and starts walking with the group while thinking, "Why the hell am I getting these flashbacks and where on earth are they from?" He quickly shakes it off and goes back to the classroom while deciding to debate over the confusing issue later.
