Author's Note: In this time where most places such as Libraries, Movie Theaters, Bowling allies, etc are closed due to the Cronovirus. It is thankful that we have fanfictions to help us get through in these frustration and scared times.

Now this songfic is requested by Crow38, this will center in the Crystal Falls AU and focuses on Amethyst.

The Song comes from the same Disney film as the last one, Aladdin.

One Jump Ahead.

The sun shines bright upon the town of Crystal Falls. No doubt at this moment its citizens are enjoying a great day.

A day of sun, a day of joy. A day of-

BOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM!

…A day of pranks.

As signified by a mushroom cloud made up of paint started raining down onto the town. Many of the denizens reacted to mix of shock from the explosion and disgust by all the paint covering some of them and their houses.

Among the collection of groans and shouts across the town, there are sounds of laughter from two individuals…the ones who caused it in the first place.

Stanly Pines and his partner in pranks, the gem who came up with this explosion of color, Amethyst.

The two pranksters hid by an alley as the two continued to enjoy the fruits of their labor.

"Did you hear the HB scream?" Amethyst laughed. "I swear her screamed was louder than the explosion!"

"You know I told you that it was too much but boy I'm glad you didn't listen to me for once!" Stan chuckled.

Amethyst continued her laughter. "Well, someone had to do it while you switched off the cameras!"

Stan's laughter died down. "I thought you did it?" It was at that moment Amethyst stopped laughing too.

"Uh, oh."

"FIND THOSE TWO!"

If they're not in trouble now…they most certainly are now.

"The old split maneuver?" Stan said looking at Amethyst.

"After you," after that Stan and Amethysts ran in opposite directions of the alley. Stan ran left while Amethyst took right…she should have gone left.

For as ran around the corner she spotted Holly Blue Agate with a look of pure rage on her face along with being drenched in pink, brown, and green paint.

"YOU!" Holly Blue growled, pointing and accusing finger at the prankster.

"Hey HB," Amethyst chuckled as she waved. "Can't you take a joke?"

Holly Blue glared and snapped her fingers, and a group of Jasper guards.

Amethyst gulped. "Guess not." Then she quickly bolted through the streets.

"Don't you just stand there, GET HER!" Holly Blue ordered as her Jasper guards chased after Amethyst along with Holly Blue following them.

Amethyst: Gotta keep, One jump ahead of the losers.

One swing ahead of the sores, I prank only those who deserve it more, and that's nearly everyone!

One of the Jaspers pulled out a Gem destabilizer and was almost near Amethyst, but quickly Amethyst pulled out her whip from her gem and wrapped it around the Jasper's arm and swung her back to the group, knocking them down.

Holly Blue quickly got up and continued the chase while the rest started to get back up and follow.

Amethyst: One jump ahead of the lawman, she's made and quite provoked.

She just doesn't apricate me jokes!

Amethyst then manage to spot a barrel and quickly with her whip wrapped around it and flung it straight into Holly Blue's chest pushing her back to the Jasper guards as well as breaking the barrel, drenching all of them.

And making the Agate even more frustrated.

Holly Blue Agate: REJECT!

Jasper Guards: Defect!

Holly Blue then pulled out her own whip and swung it at Amethyst.

Holly Blue Agate: Half-backed!

Amethyst saw that coming and used knocked it away with her own whip and swung hers up and swung up to a rooftop.

Amethyst: Get wrecked!

Try a different tact, guys!

The Jasper guards then started climbing up the walls with Holly following behind.

Jasper Guards: Rip her open!

Holly Blue Agate: Smash that Pint-size!

Amethyst quickly spotted an open window from another small building and quickly ran towards it while jumping over the edge.

Amethyst: I can take a hint, got to face the facts.

Could use a pal or two.

Thankfully Amethyst made it into the window and found herself in a room full of Pearls, and thankfully no sign of the Pearl she knows.

Pearls: True, oh it's sad, Amethyst's hit the bottom.

She's become a one-gem rise in crime.

Looks like they can be just as annoying as she is. Amethyst thought, then a loud thump was heard near the window.

Amethyst turned to see Holly Blue holding onto the window trying to get in after a nearly-failed jump.

Holly Blue Agate: I blame your senses if you even had some!

Amethyst shrugged and shapeshifted into a bird and flew onto Holly Blue's head.

Amethyst: Gotta live to prank, gotta to play the thing, tell you about it when I got the time!

She pecked Holly's nose and flew back to the ground and started to shapeshift into multiple different stuff while hiding from Jasper guards and Ruby guards.

Amethyst: One Jump, ahead of the slowpokes.

One skip, ahead of the goons.

Next time, gonna use a nom de plume.

Holly Blue let go of the window and landed safely on the ground, only for her guards to fall on her. Amethyst chuckled as continued to stealthily avoid the other guards while shapeshifting to random object.

Amethyst: One Jump, ahead of the nitwits.

One Jump, ahead of the flock.

I think, I'll take a stroll around the block.

Thinking she was clear, Amethyst resumed her normal form…to bad she ran into the Ruby guards, and not to mention that she found herself in a dead end.

Doc: Halt You!

Army: Vandal!

Leggy: Wait what?

Navy: Scandal!

Amethyst nervously chuckled as the Ruby Guards cornered her in.

Amethyst: Let's not be too hasty.

Then without warning, a crate fell on the Rubies, they weren't cracked or poofed but that did knock them out, Amethyst looked up and grinned at Stan giving her thumbs up before leaving.

Stan: Still I think she's rather sneaky!

Amethyst jumped over the down Rubies and continued on her way.

Amethyst: Gotta live to prank, gotta to play the thing, otherwise we get along.

Holy Blue Agate: WRONG!

Amethyst gulped and saw Holy Blue back on her feet, steam coming from her nose and grinding her teeth with her Jasper guards behind her.

"Uh, Bye!" Amethyst turned into a ball and started rolling fast away.

"GET HER!" screamed Holy Blue.

And did the chase ever go on, they chased Amethyst up and down, all around, while she kept on shapeshifting.

She turned into a ladder that Holly Blue climbed only to fall off, Amethyst even fooled the Jaspers by turning into one.

"She went that way!" Amethyst said to the guards, thinking that she was one of them, nearly worked until Holly Blue stood in the way.

"You idiots!" shouted Holly Blue, "Jaspers are not Purple!"

The Jaspers looked at each other then back at Holly. "Are you sure?" They asked.

Before Holly Blue can say anything, Amethyst jumped over the guards and bounced off Holly's head and used her whip to swing across the buildings.

"WHY AM I SURROUNDED BY CLODS!?" Screamed Holly Blue Agate while she and her guards; both Jasper and Rubies, followed Amethyst.

Amethyst: One jump ahead of the rockheads

Holly Blue Agate, Jasper Guards, and Ruby Guards: Reject!

Amethyst: One hop ahead of the hump.

Holly Blue Agate, Jasper Guards, and Ruby Guards: Defect!

Amethyst: One trick ahead of Disaster.

Holly Blue Agate, Jasper Guards, and Ruby Guards: Scoundrel!

Amethyst: They're quick, but I'm much faster.

Amethyst soon ran out of things for her whip to grab on, she instead swung herself on top of another building only too once more found herself surrounded by her pursuers, but instead of looking frighten, she was grinning.

Amethyst: Here goes, better throw my hand in.

Wish me happy landin, all I gotta do is jump!

As Amethyst jumped off, Holly Blue was about to go after her but then The Ruby called Leggy tugged on her arm.

"Uh, mam, I found this ball on the floor," Leggy said as she gave it to Holly. "Do you know what that is?"

Holly looked at it and saw a timer counting down from 3.

"I hate my life."

Amethyst safely landed on a tarp just as her last paint bomb exploded.

"Ha! I knew saving that one would pay off," Amethyst laughed, then she felt a hand on her shoulder.

"Hey Stan is that you? Did you see that, boy I wish I couuuuuuuu," Amethyst gulped when she turned to see Pearl glaring at her.

"Hey, Pearl," Amethyst sweated. "How you doing?"

One Jump Ahead Reprise.

"What where you two thinking!" Pearl shouted at Amethyst.

"We were thinking of making the greatest prank, in Crystal Falls ever, Duh." Pearl fumed at Amethyst nonchalant response, as said Gem relaxed on the couch.

"You and Stan have to step a better example!" Pearl stated. "For crying out loud, you both are war heroes and you are not acting like it!"

"Well I thought that since today everyone is in a dull mood, me and Stan thought we could liven things up," Amethyst said. "Give them a-ha-splash of color. Hehe."

Pearl groaned while grabbing the bridge of her nose, and before she could lecture her anymore. Rose Quartz came out of the temple doors while holding her infant son.

"Alright Pearl, that is enough we're going to be late for our meeting/apology to Holly Blue," Rose said as he put her baby in his crib before kissing his forehead.

"Now remember Amethyst, I want you to watch Steven while we're gone."

"I still think Amethyst should go with you, Rose," Pearl suggested. "I can stay and watch the baby."

Rose nodded. "I know, Pearl. But knowing Amethyst instead of apologizing to Holly, she would pull another prank from her gem."

Amethyst shrugged. "Yeah that's something I would do."

Before Pearl could lecture Amethyst again, Rose stood between them and raised Amethyst's chin up so as to look at her.

"Amethyst," Rose started. "I am trusting you with watching Steven. Can I rely on you?"

Amethyst was going to make a joke but noticed the serious look in the Quartz's eyes. "Of course, I can take care of the little guy."

Rose smiled and headed out the door. "Come on Pearl, we don't want to keep Ford and Stan waiting."

Pearl sighed and followed Rose out the door but not without giving Amethyst the 'I'm watching you look'.

Amethyst was about to head to the fridge when she heard Pearl outside.

"Honestly Rose, I don't like leaving Steven with her, after everything that has happened Amethyst has become nothing but trouble and-"

"Pearl," Rose said soft but sternly. "You forget, Amethyst was on the front lines near the end and she saw what happened. She is dealing with this in her own way, you more than anyone should understand that."

They continued talking buy Amethyst shut them all out and she went to fridge for a can to munch on. Yeah, she knew what she saw and it scared her, hell many of the gems in Crystal Falls still remembered what happened.

So, she wanted people to stop thinking about it and more on something else, maybe they would apricate her for it. But no, all she got instead was cursed at and ridiculed by those she fought alongside and protected.

Amethyst: Reject, defect. I won't accept.

If only they looked closer.

Amethyst swallowed the can whole as she looked at the window, looking over the town.

Amethyst: Would they see a poor gem? No siree.

Then Amethyst heard the happy giggles of little Steven and went to the crib to hold the little guy.

The infant patted her cheek gently almost as if he was saying 'There, there, it will be alright'.

Amethyst: They'd find out there's so much more to me…

"Don't worry little guy, I'm fine," Amethyst said holding Steven close to her.

"They can call me whatever they want, it won't get me, and hey when you get older you can join Stan and me on some crazy pranks, what do you say to that?"

"Gaba, gaba goo!" Baby Steven smiled.

"Yeah, whatever you say, now come on let's go mess up Pearl's stuff huh?" Amethyst chuckled as she took the baby inside the temple for some good old friendly fun….and maybe leave a prank or two for Pearl.
