Charles stared blankly at the table he was sitting at, trying to process what had happened last month, still. It was a big event, and he felt the exact opposite that he should've about it. Two soldiers sat to his right. "Hey, Charles. Whatcha thinking about?" one of them nudged him. Charles snapped out of his thought and looked up at the two soldiers, who were looking at him, grinning. "N-Nothing." Charles lied. He didn't want to tell him what he was thinking about. "That's a lie, man." One of the soldiers said. "Yeah. C'mon... tell us your secret." They kept pestering him about it. "Mind your business!" Charles snapped, losing his normally polite and light-hearted attitude. "Woah, okay.." They commented. "But, still, can't you believe that Henry Stickmin guy stole from the Toppats again!?" One of the soldier kept talking to Charles. Charles shot up and looked at him. "Uh..." Charles looked for words. He thought about Henry for a moment. He's so bold, and adventurous, and- "Well?" The soldier said, interrupting Charles' thoughts again. "Ever since that thief stole the Norwegian emerald from the toppats, you've been really quiet." The other soldier commented. "Yeah. What's up with that?" The soldier who had mentioned Henry first said. Charles was getting annoyed at this point. "I've just been... thinking about what's going to happen with the toppats now. A-And Henry, too." Charles was worried about Henry, he didn't know why. The soldiers had listened and began whispering to eachother. Charles rolled his eyes, looking away from them. "Do you like Henry?" One of the soldiers taunted. Charles swiftly turned to face them "N-No!" Charles' face turned red. "Ooh, your blushing, you do like him!" The other soldier mocked. The soldiers started laughing as Charles' rage built up.. "No. I. DON'T! No means no, can't you two understand that!? Get that into your head!" Charles slammed the table once. "Woah!" One of the soldiers said. "Somebodys in a bad mood..." Charles rolled his eyes. Idiots... He thought. "But you d-" One of the soldiers began. "Ugh! Fine! Yes, you revealed my secret. I do like Henry!" Charles said furiously.
