Chapter 3: The In Between

When Henry had been woken by a soft sobbing he had crept down the stairs to investigate. He had been ready to save the day, but only found Emma taking long drags from an amber, apple smelling liquid.

Emma had tried to assuage his concern, but he's precocious enough to recognize wisps of love.

He had wanted to stop this from happening, wanted to save his real mom from getting tricked.

He had bitten the poison apple to protect her, but he wonders if he had caused pain instead of preventing it.

They lose contact completely.

They never talk about what had happened during the hours when the town slept and only the moon lit their excursions.

When Emma had thought her bedfellow unaware and amused herself by lovingly learning every curve of Regina's body.
