Luke's POV
"There is one thing I need to see first," the Grandmaster tells me, her regulator off to reveal a beautiful voice, "Lift your fighter out of the quickmud before it's gone." I turn to discover my X-wing sinking. R2 turns as well and starts making worried sounds. I reached out and attempted to lift it out. It budged then fell again. I grunted in frustration. "It's too heavy! I can't do it! How do you expect me to do it?" I yelled. The Grandmaster narrowed her eyes. "Really? Then you have a lot to learn, my student. Remember this… do or do not, there is no try." I gave her a confused look. She noticed and said, "However, don't always assume that it's always the case. There are times where you must at the very least try, though you may fail." She turned to the spot where my X-wing once stood and lifted her hands. Eyes closed in concentration, she lifted it out and set it down safely. The Grandmaster (I should really learn her real name, this is getting old) then turned and whistled towards the grass. I heard the reeds rustle to reveal a great white Loth-wolf. The Grandmaster grabbed her staff and jumped on to its back and helped the older human (I should also really learn his name) up. The others (to be honest, I should really learn all their names) did the same but the Loth-wolves were smaller and different colors. I grab my supplies and make a makeshift sled. The Wookie calls to me to climb on his red wolf with the Ithorian. I attached the sled to the wolf as R2 rolled on. "Hi, my name is Byph and this is Gungi," the Ithorian introduced me. "Let's move out!" the older human called to the rest of us before his partner snapped her wolf's reins. "How did you guys get here?" "We were once a part of the Jedi Order on Coruscant," Byph replied to me. "But that was before it became a Jedi Wasteland...before Operation Knightfall." I was about to ask him what that was when I realized he was telling me what had happened before I asked, his golden eyes misty.
Byph' s POV
It was a day like every other. The war had finally ended. My clan and I were in the Room of a Thousand Fountains meditating when suddenly two grey cloaked figures ran in. We were so confused on what was happening. They tried to warn us about something but they were too late. All at once we felt a dark presence sweep over us. The two figures turned to the doors. We could hear heavy footfalls. The taller one walked over to the door and opened it up to hundreds of 501st clone soldiers marching down from the far hall shooting any Master, Knight, Padawan, or youngling in their way. The source of the darkness was cloaked in the blackest robes holding a blue lightsaber in his hand. Under his hood, a pair of eyes, shifting from a crystal blue to a sickly yellow, shone through. Vader. The figure closed the door as quickly as possible before he noticed. Their companion tried to calm us down but we were inconsolable. We thought we were going to be reunited with the Force for good. The first figure called out to us and pointed up towards the ceiling. There was an air vent. The only problem, it was on the highest part of the ceiling. The two whispered closely, not wanting us to hear. Once they were done, the taller one tore the vent cover off. Then they turned and told us to jump as high as we could. We were skeptical but listened. We jumped and we felt the Force propel us upward. I looked back to see the shorter one reach for a gun and aim at the vent. I thought they were going to shoot us. Instead a line shot out and stuck to the plaster above the vent. While the shorter one scaled the rope, the taller one kneeled and pressed their hand to the ground. We felt the foundations shake and the clones' confusion. Then they stood up and jumped into the vent, coiled up the line, and replaced the cover. We were told to pull up our mental shields. We did and what happened next confused us. The doors banged open and the dark presence stalked in. He looked around, using both his eyes and the Force. He stopped right below us and looked up. We all held our breaths. After what felt like hours, he just left. The two figures told us to follow them. Not knowing what else to do, we just followed them. I felt a numbness all over me. The only thing I could comprehend was the fact that the Jedi Temple was no longer the safe haven it was. It was a place of death and darkness. It was a wasteland. The Order was gone…

"Wow. I can't believe that happened," I thought aloud. "I'm sorry for your loss. No one should have to go through that kind of pain." Gungi roared a thank you. "The Empire took our way of life. Now we vow to take theirs," Byph tells me, purpose in his voice.
