Luke's POV
Over the course of a week, I quickly understood how daily life works here.
The Temple is divided into three main branches, one for light siders, one for dark siders, and one for the Greys.
The hierarchy is pretty self explanatory, the Grandmaster is the head of everything and her word is final.
The Council Members are a step down from her and are highly respected. They help the Grandmaster make big decisions.
The ones with the rank of Master are the people who teach the classes that the Council Members don't.
The ones with the rank of Knight are the ones who go out and complete various missions to other planets.
The Apprentices are the ones getting hands on, one-on-one experience. The Initiates are like over-eager tiny helpers.
The Wenye Silaha were once part of the 352nd Attack/S&R Battalion from the Clone Wars. They modified their armor to resemble the Shillian Mlinzi wa Nyumba.
Everyone plays their part in keeping the Temple tidy and hospitable. The jobs rotate every week. My job in the first week was to help Ganodi with the ships in the hangar a ways from the Temple itself. At first, the Rodian was reluctant to let me help but after meeting R2, she opened up to me.
"So, I have a question."
"If you have a question, just ask."
"What was it like on the way to the temple the first time?"
Ganodi looked up from her work, and straight into my eyes.
"It was… interesting…"
Ganodi's POV
I was in the tech room, fiddling with a part of a broken droid, when the Lady came in.
"Hello, Ganodi."
"Hu-hi, milady."
"Please, just call me Fulcrum."
"Oh-okay."
"So, what are you doing?" she asked, gesturing to the part I was working on.
I told her that it was just trying to keep my hand busy. She sat next to me and showed me some tips and tricks when working on droids.
Then her commlink buzzed. She brought her hand to her left ear and listened. She then turned to me.
"Sorry for ending this rather abruptly, but I have to go get my Agent out of a sticky situation, again."
I silently followed her to the dropships and snuck aboard without her noticing.
Once the ship landed, I followed close behind. She made various turns, almost losing her. Then she stopped in front of a metal door and something strange happened.
The Force rippled and changed around her. It took me a moment to realize what was happening. She was creating an altered appearance, closely taking the form of a Nightsister, clothes and all. I saw her smirk to herself and opened the door.
"Hello Ferine Itra. I believe you have one of my sisters in your possession?"
Her voice sounded so different, it took me a moment to realize it was Fulcrum.
"Ah, if it isn't Ahjajeas Tillo, the supposed leader of the Nightsisters." The man spoke with venom dripping from his mouth.
I couldn't see her face but I could sense her eyes narrow and mouth snarling.
"Where is she."
"Sheesh, alright, I'll get her. Tense much?"
The man left and came back with a tall, wiry figure with a bag over her head.
"Here, take her."
She took the newcomer by the arm and led her out of the room. She came my way and called out to me. She knew I was there all along.
She took us back to the ship, took the Agent to her quarters and spoke to her, then came out to me. By then, she'd changed back. She looked at me with an indifferent face, and led me to the tech room again, where she lectured me on the dangers I put myself in. We eventually went back to tinkering…
Luke's POV
Wow.
"That was dangerous, what you did."
"I know. At least I was able to learn more about the Dark Side a bit," she said with a wink. That's when I noticed a sheen of gold over her black eyes.
