"Is everyone done building their birdhouses?" Lizzie asked.

"Yes Miss Perkins." The class answered.

"Remember to be kind to them, and they will respond to you. In this way are all creatures." Lizzie said.

The bell rang and she walked over to a small blonde boy who looked rather sad.

"Alois what is it?" Lizzie said.

"The birds don't come to my window." Alois said. "It's because my mother doesn't love me, I know it."

"Alois, I'm sure your mother loves you very much." Lizzie said. "But Angela is the mayor. She has to have enough love for everyone. Here, I got something for you."

Lizzie handed him a book.

"See...Fairy Tales. You'll find your Happily Ever After."

Lizzie smiled at him and headed toward the hospital for her volunteer work.

Bam! She ran into Angela, the mayor.

"Oh! I'm so sorry Madam Mayor!" Lizzie said, picking up her parcels.

"Well you should be!" Angela snarled.

"I am! So very very sorry!"

"What?" Angela glared. "Just like that? Stop apologizing and fight back!"

"Now why would I do that?" Lizzie wondered.

As night fell she stared at the sleeping mystery patient.

The doctor, Sebastian, watched over his every move except when Lizzie was there.

It didn't matter what spell she tried.

The curse would not break.

Ciel would not wake up.
