Chapter 2 - Painful Memories
Moments earlier. Hana's attack was stopped dead in its tracks. She couldn't believe that someone other than 'Naruto-sensei' could stop the attack that he taught her. With a graceful twirl and a flick of her wrist, the masked woman launched Hana against a rock and fell into the stream. The sound of one battle faded in her mind as she drifted into darkness.
The darkness was brief and the sound of battle quickly replaced with one of destruction. The young girl opened her eyes as she did the sight almost overflowing into her brain causing her to shake her eyes bursts like dams holding back an ocean of water. The sight she was seeing was one she had already seen and deep down she knew it. She was seeing the death of her father, a Jonin guard of Konohagakure Igaki Oharu. She stood there as her father protected her as he was impaled by a bladed sash. The weapon was ripped out of his body. He fell to his knees as blood sprayed the face of the young girl. Stood over her father was a bold man with a twisted grin, spikes came out of his head and black piercings jutted out of his face. However, his eyes are haunting grey in a spiraling pattern to the corner. Hana began to run away from the man but fell on a small rock trying to getaway. With a thud she hit the ground, blood began to seep from her head as it bounced off a wall then the hard rocky ground. She looked up at the sadistic monster who killed her father. Fear truly gripped her as she could do nothing. The bladed sash moved forward like a predator searching for its next meal. As it coiled just before they lunge forward time almost stopped as the young girl screamed out the sash burst forth but just as it was about to hit a wall of earth burst up in the alleyway.
A voice calm and warm came from next to the girl "relax I am here to help" said a tall man with white spiked hair and a mask over his face. His headband covering his left eye. He scooped the girl up and quickly lept away. As he ran along a roof with her in his arms he looked down and smiled. "Everything with is alright my name's Kakashi and let's get you outta here" just then he spun around and quicker than the girl could ever comprehend he made one-handed hand signs and yelled out "Fire Release: Fire Dragon Bomb Jutsu" he opened his mouth and ball of flame like a dragons head burst out it met sever rocket-like projectiles midair and caused a large explosion. Looking around he put the girl down and told her to get behind him. The sadistic man rushed forth from the smoke and once again launched his sash at Kakashi, in response the white-haired Jonin made some more hand signs and roared out "Lightning Release: Lightning Blade" with an unbelievable rush of speed he split the sash in half and then cut deep into the side of the 'evil man'. He spun around delivering a kick to the chest of the man sending him back off the roof. Kakashi took a deep breath, he glanced around the roof for the girl. He saw her staring in amazement at him. He walked over and offered her a hand. The girl gladly accepted and was brought up to her feet. She hugged the man around the waist and once again began to cry as realization set in. Kakashi bent down and picked her up in a hug allowing the girl to cry into his shoulder.
A small-time later he was still taking the girl along the roofs he noted Choji and Choza helping other civilians and were relatively close to a couple of paths of pain. Just then on his shoulder, he had barely noticed that the girl had stopped crying but she screamed out "KAKASHI LOOK OUT BEHIND US!"
His combat senses quickly kicked back and he flipped around and exposed his hidden eye he saw flying right towards him a large drill beaked bird. In mere moments his eye began to morph and change into a spiral pattern. He closed his other eye and yelled "KAMUI!" Just as this happened the bird's head began to morph and twist before as it hit them turning into a purplish-gray smoke. Kakashi landed back on his feet and jumped down off the building to Choji and Choza. He placed the girl down and told a couple of Chunin to escort the girl and the other civilians out of the village. He placed a hand on the girl's head and calmly asked "be strong ok? For those people" he gestured at the other worried and panicking civilians. Her response was a nod while rubbing her eyes to get the tears out.
With that, she began to reopen her eyes and shake her head which was still throbbing in pain. Only then she noticed she was tied to a tree stump, she tried to force herself out only to have a kunai hit just above her head causing her to stiffen. She looked around to see her 'teammates' still unconscious and in similar circumstances to her. A woman in her early thirties, clearly the one who attacked them sitting on a rock with no mask just shaking her head at the three Genin in a judgmental manner.
